Blackberry 9630 tour wont charge

My blackberry wont charge when I plug it in to the wall charger the battery sign comes up with a blue liightblo left it in for the night nothing happened. So I bought a new battery and then it started to work again, and it charged find . The other day I ran the battery almost flat but plugged it in but then it quit charging and then the phone died and it started all over again the blue ligthblo comes up both wont charge, does any one else have this problem

Blue light, not RED light?
Odd, the blue light indicates a Bluetooth device is connected.
Try this:
Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).

  • Can't eprint from my blackberry 9630 Tour, can I get some help, please. thanks.

    Hi,
I can eprint from my desktop email, but I can't eprint from my blackberry 9630 Tour.  Your cooperation with this matter greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Hey HarryH47,
Two things may cause the ePrint job to fail.
    1. Try openning your email account in the Blackberry by going to the Web Browser rather than logging in through the shortcut.
    2. Now try sending an email from there.
    3. If the email prints, you will want to delete the old email account shortcut, and recreate the email account.
    4. The other thing you can try is removing the signature from your email if you use one when sending an email.
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
If I have resolved your issue, feel free to provide Kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided.

  • Blackberry 9630 Tour - Reload Software: 552 - Mac

This is my second Tour since I bought my first Blackberry a couple of weeks ago.  I know I'm definitely not in the norm as being a Blackberry user and a Mac user as well, but I need help.  I recently was deleting some frivolous apps I had downloaded from App World, and when I rebooted, I was met with this error message - Reload Software: 552.  I've seen some of the other posts here regarding the same error message, but I'm having a problem loading any software onto my device since Desktop Manager only works on Windows computers.  I can't even download the OS to install because that page requires IE 5.5, and they stopped making IE for Mac 4 years ago.  I don't want to have to keep trading in my Tour, especially if this really is a problem that I could possibly fix myself.
Does anybody have any suggestions for me to try?  Removing the battery gives the same results, and the folks at the Verizon store I took my first Tour to didn't know what to do, and that's why they had me just swap it out completely.

HI and Welcome to the Forums!
FWIW -- Here is the official KB about the 552 error:
KB18751 Error "App Error 552" is displayed on the BlackBerry smartphone
Sadly, you are correct that DTM presently only runs on PC's to do what is necessary. But, what is necessary is to reload the OS, which means you need to find a PC to do that on since you can't do it on your MAC. Perhaps you can take the KB to the store and show them and they can do it for you?

  • Blackberry 9630 tour keyboard and trackball do not light

I have had this Blackberry Tour for 3 days and the keyboard and trackball will not light up at all, day or night. I have tried everything I can think of. I removed the battery and sim card, turned the backlight automatic dimmer on and off, and asked tech support. Anyone have any suggestions before I replace it?

Sounds CRAZY, but I just fixed mine by tapping the speaker  port against a hard surface with about the same force as you would use to crack an egg against the side of a bowl.  I saw this on crackberry.com site and figured it was just crackberry enough to try.
    Hope this helps.

  • Blackberry curve 8330 wont charge

When i am charging my blackberry curve 8330, it doesn't charge. It has a green light that is flashing !! Can anyone help me with this problem. I just got it today !! It turned on for a good 5 minutes but than died !! HELPPPP ??????

    Hi aeroyang12
    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
If green light is flashing , then it might be possible that your battery has completely drained out .So please connect it with a good wall charger it let it charge for a few hours, Don't try to turn on your device again and again. After a few hours say 2 hrs while it is connected to the charger remove the battery from the back of your device and then re-insert it back , you can do this sequence every 2 hrs to see if that helps .
Try it or if you can manage a good fully charged battery try that on your device to see if your device boots up.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I actually think that all of your issues are related, and rooted in the same problem...OS corruption or hardware failure. But, before you begin, please be sure you have a good backup...see the link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions for that process.
Then, at the top of each device forum, there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for many models. If they include your model, then please use those as reference as you proceed. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the official download portal for OS packages for your model:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try this procedure to perhaps narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
KB19915How to perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software

  • Blackberry desktop manager wont detect blackberry

i have looked everywhere for a solution to my problem and i simply cannot find a fix. my blackberry curve 8520 wont connect to my desktop manager. i have tried everything i could think of however nothing has proven successful.
here is what i have so far done:
    -reinstalled desktop manager
-installed latest update for desktop manager
    -installed drivers for blackberry
    -checked usb cable and ports
-made sure desktop manager was set to usb
-pulled the battery on the blackberry (power cycled)
    -restarted my computer
i believe this is everythign i have currently tried, i am running 64x ultimate windows 7 and my computer does recognise that a blackberry is put in as everytime i do so a ballon at the bottom om my screen says a blackberry has been detected and gives it a drive name and such. it is also charging which ensures enough power is being delievered to the blackberry. i do not have another computer to try the desktop manager on. if anyone has a fix to this issue please respond asap as help would be very much appreciated.

  • New battery wont charge

I just got a new battery in the mail today and it wont charge!! theres a battery icon with a red X through it . help!
    Amy Tice

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully that "new" and "known good" are not necessarily the same...while rare, a new battery can certainly be defective. Further, only by finding someone else with an identical BB with no issues can you actually trade batteries and narrow down if the problem is the battery or your BB.
Good luck and let us know!

  • New Playbook wont charge - what can I be doing wrong

Hi there, so frustrated Im about expire!, bought my daughter a blackberry playbook for christmas.  After much waiting yesterday for me to get advice from my internet provider on how to connect to the internent (which we've now achieved), I find that it just wont charge.  We put it on charge yesterday and I now realise it didnt charge at all.  Its saying it has no battery power and cant do any more start up until it reaches over 20%.  However, I dont see what I can be getting wrong here!, although Im not techy, there are two leads which came with it, one to the electricity point which Ive connected into the middle slot on the three at the bottom of the playbook and when then failed to get any reaction Ive tried connecting to me laptop without any reaction to the playbook either.  Its brand new purchased from a big electrical retailer and opened only yesterday.  what a disaster, is it a dud.

My first suggestion would be to immediately return and exchange it at that big retailer.
Alternatively, LEAVE it connected to the wall outlet charger (not the USB > PC charger).
Leave it connected for 24 hours... every 3-5 hours, press and hold the power button only for about 20 seconds. Eventually it will boot on up, but first must reach a certain charge level.
You will see the blinking red and perhaps yellowish LED light, and perhaps a symbol on screen of "no battery". That means the battery is drained, but it must reach a certain charge before powering on.

  • BBMessenger Issue on 9630 Tour ...

My friend has a 9630 Tour with AT&T. She is having issue adding contacts on her BBMessenger.
I looked at it and played around with it with no results.
There is 3 of us that have sent her request, and she has sent request to almost all of us using the PIN.
I used email to send her request. On my BBM, it says "Pending (Waiting for Authorization)" under her name.
She says she hasn't recieved any email from me regarding the BBM request.
    What to do??

If she hasnt subscribed to a Blackberry data plan from Atnt, she will be restricted to browsing services on her phone over wifi. She can neither use email nor BBM services. It is not necessary for a person to subscribe to a data plan irrespective of the device being used.

    hey guys,
im afraid my beloved torch starts eating his own allies
when i try to charge it, it wont charge, the charging symbol wont appear and it already killed two chargers!
    i
have no idea whats going on, if i would change this part:

would you say it would help?
    thanks...

No, it really doesn't answer the question, so let me rephrase the question.
Are you CERTAIN the charger is actually dead,
    OR
Do you think the USB port on the handheld device is dead?
You could connect one or both of the chargers to another device to see if it charges.
Or, use a friend's charger on your 9800 to see if it charges.

Unfortunately on a beach trip, that phone took a swim, and a replacement came. Her 2 months later, its also now has blurry pix. I use my Camera for business so what do I do? Any suggestions?

Device info: Tour 9630. Software ver. 5.0.0.484.
    Your carrier: USCELLULAR

Did a battery pull fix your issue? Nope.

My Blackberry Curve 8520 Wont turn on and there is no LED flashing, i have tried pretty much everything and nothing seems to be working, tried a new battery, tried using the USB and the mains charger, tried leaving to charge for 8 hours, is there anyhing i can do to fix it myself as i dont have themoney to replace the phone or pay for a repair
    PLEASE HELP ME
    Thank You
    Nathan

    Hey hakmilton,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
I would suggest contacting your network service provider to look at possible repair and exchange options.  Since you tried a new battery and the LED won't come on, we can not even try reloading the device software.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Torch Wont charge with a DC 5V +/-0.25 and 1A max charger

So I have the Torch 9850 from Sprint and the phone charges just fine from every source except this new charging port I bought for my motorcycle.
the Port works with BlackBerry and the output is DC 5V +/-0.25 and 1A max.
Which from what I can read on the back of the Blackberry charger should be the proper power requirments.
Why wont the stupid thing work.  keeps telling me there isn't enough power!
I even tried using just a charging cable with no data connection.  it still wont charge and when I do this it wont even give me the message that there isn't enough power to charge the phone, it just does nothing

I know your frustrated with your issue but you need to go through the steps.
Sprint, your carrier, is the place of support with your device. just like a car dealer works, you dont call the manufacture with issues.
If sprint is unable to do anything they can escalate to RIM, if the device has a faulty charge circut, there is not much we could do to fix it.
