Blackberry 9810 feezing

My phone has recently started freezing for about 30seconds and the little clock appears and it takes long to resume my task. Isn't the 9810 not suppose to have those freezing problems. Please help me.

When installing apps it will still happen, lots going on during that.

On device go to Options, Device, Application Management is a great way to see what your apps are doing with your CPU usage on Smartphone. Just slide top bar to CPU and see what is going on. Also touch the CPU menu to see other time variables. I found out that an app was eating away CPU cycles on mine
Disable Compression on media card? go to Options, Device, Storage
using a custom theme? try it for a day the factory default one to rule out your theme
remember the esc key closes most apps, except for GPS and some chat clients. the other apps need to use menu and then exit or close. The farthest key to the right is a home key and does not close any apps per se but will end calls.

    hello, i've a big problem because i can't transfer my date from my blackberry 9810 to my calendar apple mac mountain lion and not the inverse. I utilise the blackberry desktop but it's only bi-directionnel and i would like to do it just in this sens because all my dates are in my phone. I can't understand why it's not working. Before i utilise icalc and it was working.There now it's calendar for mac and it's not working. It's says that it where 96 date but they are not transferred or i don't find them.     Well guys I just bought a new Blackberry 9810 on April 23rd 2012 from Jalandhar(Punjab) and on the very first date i faced a problem. It was so that I couldnt hear the call coming and if at all my attention was towrds my phone and i happened to picked it I couldnt hear the caller's voice and neither could he hear mine. I took out my battery and restarted the phone to rectify it. It happened about three to four days the very first day. Next morning I went to vendor, who told me to get the software updated from service centre. I did as told, went to service centre and got the software uploaded the very second day of my purchase.For nearly three four days everything was fine with my handset. As i had to travel out of station for wedding in family, i left my city Jalandhar on 4th May 2012. It was on 5th May 2012 i faced the same problem and during my ten days stay there I was completely bugged up as everyday I had to go through the same turmoil about 7 to 8 times a day. I was being mocked by my frens and relatives that " you have wasted Rs. 27000" on this wrong purchase. I was really taken a back as i m freelance writer, so i lost much of my business due to my phone being swithced off. I spoke to the vendor from Delhi he told me you come back i ill speak to service centre authority and will get ur handset changed. When I was back I visited the service centre and made him speak to my vendor too. He returned my battery and back cover of handset so i understood they wont change the handet. I insisted them to replace it but all they could say the company will replace it if need be. So i kept quiet, i got my handset back after three weeks from the service centre with a hope that it will be well in shape, but to my dismay the very next day i faced the problem again. In all this chaos i noticed that it is only when i put the memory card i face this problem so i formated my card and tried again but problem persisted than i took memory card out from my phone and it worked well for a week's time. After which i bought a new memory card thinking that my last memory card might have been infected with virus but the problem started agin. I again went to vendor he told me to go to service centre and tell the person to change the handset or IME number, I did the same. But again when I got my handet back neither was it replaced nor the IME number was changed and on top of it the problem still persited and also its hanging a lot. I am in an imbroglio and literally repenting over this purchase. Also i have to listen to constant rebuking of my parents. I seriously want to get it replaced. Can anyone tell me how? 

    Well first off you should demand that the vendor who sold it to you stand up and do what is right and exchange the unit for a new working one!

  • Faulty Blackberry 9810

    To Whom It May Concern
    I have had my Blackberry 9810 replaced 3 times in the last 16 Months and having endless problems to date i have replaced the phone today and still have the same issues i have a feeling this is across the board problem with the BB9810 range and i request to have MTN replace this phone with a brand new unit as i have been given refurbished units.
    I am on contract and paying R329,00 p/m. Please also note i will be posting this on Hellopeter as well.

    3 times and all the units have problems i will be reporting this Blackberry as well someone will be responsible as this is ridiculous now.

    As a user-to-user community, no one here can answer your question with any level of authority whatsoever. BlackBerry provides zero front line support to end users, including warranty...all support starts with the carriers, authorized resellers, and authorized service centers, all who can escalate cases into BlackBerry at no charge to the end user.
    So, your escalation path is not here, in these forums. Rather, it is through your existing channel...even if they may so far not be helping to your satisfaction. You have no free path by which to bypass them.
    There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the initial question, since you are bypassing the contract you signed upon purchase. If you wish to investigate that, you can review it here:

  • My blackberry 9810 don't start

    my torch 9810 don't start up. yesterday i send a bbm, and 30 minute later, when i look on my torch, it's just a black screen with red light blink, 25sec on and wait 1 minutes for other red blink
    i call my phone provider and try
    remove battery wait 10
    plug on computer
    remove battery and plug on computer
    start blackberry software and software don't find anything like no phone
    i xchange my battery between my two blackberry torch and my good one continu to work good and the bad one continu to red blink
    my phone provider tell me that i need to buy a new one,
    someone have a other solution ?

    From what you describe, I think you may have done these things, but I cannot tell for sure...
    Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
    With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
    Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
    Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
    It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
    Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
    Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
    The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.

    One thing for sure that you won't find any OS6 for your BlackBerry Torch 9810 . 
    But.. if you're not satisfied with the recent OS update then go through this Blackberry software download site BlackBerry Software Download Site locate your carrier and look for the OS version you're previously having on your 9810 . Download it and install the OS version your desire .

    At 4% per hour the battery will last 25 hours. I don't see anything wrong with that.

    Have you done a Battery Pull? Please do so if not as it fixes some of the phone's glitches.

    When you go to your Media folder and select Ring Tones & Alerts, are you able to play any tones?
    If you go to modify your current sound profile and select a different tone, when you go to Try It to preview it, does it play?

  • Blackberry 9810 not connected to BES?

    Had my phone for under a year and suddenly it won't connect to the Blackberry Enterprise Server. Had Rogers (service provider) to check it out and they said everything is fine on their end. My data seems to be working as I can use BBM, internet, facebook etc. But cannot make phone calls (authorization failure) and when I try to text it sends me back "Request Facility not subscribed". Help??
    Most people mention resending service books but I am not sure how to do that..

    This is most likely an issue with your data plan. There are personal plans and enterprise plans and you need an enterprise plan in order to connect to BES. Something is wrong with your account...could be a faulty sim card or a problem in provisioning but you're going to have to work it out with Rogers.
    Call them back and keep calling them back until they resolve it.

    Since an hour I've encountered the following issue with my BB9810 (OS 7.1.0 build 2061): All photo's that i want to take are very much unclear.   • Blackberry 9810 Reboot Screen Freeze!! Help?

    I can't get passed my reboot screen, I have tried taking out the battery many times, tried downloading the software update and also tried putting in the original software from AT&T and it still freezes on the reboot screen near the end. I downloaded a software called "blackberry Swiss army kit" to help me as well and I still got nothing done. Everything installs but when it reboots its freezes at the same spot. I called blackberry and they want to charge me $49.99 for help? Its a blackberry problem and I should be charged, that's poor service I must say.
    Can anyone help me with this ASAP?

    Hi. I have the same problem. None of the above solutions work. I tried safe mode, I tried removing my memory card, I tried using the laptop and I removed the battery lots of times (left out the battery for hours tried again nothing) Help please that's my business phone I need it...

  • Blackberry 9810 keeps resetting itself several times a day

    The screen seemingly randomly turns off and take a couple of minutes to reset itself. Usually it happens after dialing or opening the slider. I have tried all of the resets including Safe Mode and the only thing that I can see to try is to Clean Install the Blackberry OS. I have started and Blackberry does not have a Fido for this model as Fido does not provide one. It was originally a Telus phone. How do I do a clean install and will I have any problems with Fido with a Telus OS on my Blackberry. The unit is unlocked and has successfully worked for about 6 months.Thanks, Allan

    There is no requirement to use any specific carriers OS package. The only requirement is to use an OS package that is for your specific model BB, but if the OS comes from a carrier other than that for which your BB was originally manufactured, there is a necessary "trick".

    Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
    If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
    If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
    Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
    If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
    Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
    When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
    If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
    If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
    If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
