Blackberry APN settings on non-BB

i am subscribed to BES global data and was able to use it on Android device with blackberry.net APN. from few days now, data has stoped working on Android with this APN but is working well on Blackberry.
i believe my carrior has changed the (APN) settings.
i have checked on BB and its just showing APN same as blackberry.net
can somebody please help me to get it worked again on Android?

Some trick? There is no trick. I have ATT. The device sets my APN to that needed for ATT. I can see it just fine. If you have one set and it's not working then you should contact your carrier.

how can i edit APN settings on 4s

The above post won't help you.
The iPhone already contains the correct APN settings for all supported carriers, & any updates to those settings are done automatically. Fact is, most carriers don't want users messing with these settings. As far as a carrier adding itself to this database, if not supported, doesn't work that way.
If you have an officially unlocked iPhone, & you're trying to use it with a non-supported carrier, you're gonna have to manually edit these settings. Directions here:

    And here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4839
    Or, you can go here:

That web site contains a collection of APN settings for non-supported carriers.

  • Keeping Z10 on Blackberry data plan (BIS) - APN settings?

I'm after a bit of help with regards to Blackberry data services.
I have had a few Blackberrys over the last 5 years or so and they have all had my unlimited data with them.
I recently got the Z10 to use on my existing contract with O2, however I have just had my first bill and I've been stung for data usage.
I've not had much luck with anyone helpful at O2 so I'm hoping somewhere here can help.
I am after knowing what the APN settings are I should put into my Z10 so thatI can continue to use my unlimited data plan from Blackberry rather than having to change my tariff with O2 to use one of their inferior plans.
I've spent hour searching for what to put into the APN settings but I'm just going round in circles

BB10 phones do not use BIS like legacy devices do.  The days of compressed data on a BlackBerry are quickly coming to an end.
You'll just have to grab another data plan and grin and bear it like we do.

  • Where did the APN settings go from escreen- engineering in 10.2.2.1531?

I used to fix the APN problem (it was missing and I was not able to set it from the Settings screen) from escreen://, entered the code and got to "engineering screen".
After I updated my Q10 to 10.2.2.1531, there is no engineering screen but something called Diagnostic Screen.
Problem is, none of the submenus/screens let me set the APN. At least I have not managed to find it.
Yes, I did go to 3GPP2 Radio sumbenu but it's not there any more.
    Thank you.

I've replied in your other thread. my apn settings is disabled
I don't know why we can't have this discussion in one or the other thread, but that too has been asked for.

  • Can't change APN settings (greyed out)

Hi, I have been reading a lot about my problem on this forum and on other BB-forums. I hope someone can help me because the historic forum-answers were quite depressing. . . I bought my new BB Q10 - without a simcard - last week from a well known Dutch webshop. I inserted my Rabo Mobiel simcard that I used in my BB curve. With the BB Curve and this simcard I have been emailing and browsing the internet for 3 years without problems. I can call and text with the BBQ10 but I can't get the internet working. The APN settings were already filled on this BB Q10 - unfortunately not with the APN name from Rabo Mobiel. It says: portalmmm.nl which is probably 'pre-installed' by Blackberry Holland and it is one of the APN names of the KPN provider in Holland. I can change the "portalmmm.nl" into "Rabo" but then I need to set Verification Type to PAP and that is not possible. The Verification field is greyed out and I cannot change it. I tried many ways and even tried to access the escreen:// option (which I couldn't get working) . I made phonecalls to Rabo Mobiel (they say they didn't change anything and no, they use no username and password for APN, only Rabo as account name), to the webshop (no we don't know who installs our Blackberries) and KPN (they gave me the telephone number of Blackberry but I can't get any one on the phone there!). The webshop says: please return your phone. But I know the next BBq10 will probably have the same problem. So can someone - preferably a Blackberry Technician - help me? I would really appreciate it! kind regards, Angela

    hi (93) readers,
I was wondering if there's anyone who recognizes this, or can make any suggestions? Blackberry helpdesk at Twitter is not responding anymore and only tells me to go to retailer or provider (and they remain completely silent after that)
    Thanx,
    Angela

  • Anyone know how to access 'APN Settings' ?

Can anyone tell me the steps to locating the APN Settings that I was told should be in the Advanced Options menu- but isn't there?  I've got a BB Curve 8530 and need to make sure the TCIP selection is correct.  Gotta be there somewhere- but I can't find it!  Thanks!  Aidan

    Hello,
This KB documents where to find the APN settings. Note carefully that if a theme is running, many things (including this) could be somewhere else...and the theme is in control of that, so there's no way to diagnose it. Falling back to the default theme should allow the KB to point in the correct direction.
    Cheers!

  • Consumer Cellular (USA) APN settings

For Consumer Cellular Customers in USA:
After much experimentation, here are working Consumer Cellular APN (Access Point Name) settings for Nokia Symbian Belle phones, including the Nokia 808, 603, 701, E6, 700, N8 and probably others. These settings need to be correct in order for the phone's cell data connection to function properly. Hope this is helpful.
Open Settings App, then navigate as follows:
    Connectivity>Settings>Network destinations>Internet>
Modify current APN (might be called AT&T) or create new one by using the + sign in lower right corner.
    Populate with the following settings:
    Connection name:
    CCI
    Data bearer:
    Mobile data
    Access point name:
    att.mvno
    Username:
    none
    Prompt password:
    No
    Password:
    ****  (leave as is)
    Authentication:
    Secure
    HomePage:
    None
(On Options screen, access by tapping on little gear sign on lower right of screen)
    Network type:
    IPv4
    Phone IP address:
    Automatic
    DNS addresses:
    Automatic
    Proxy server address:
    66.209.11.32
    Proxy port number:
    80

    smokey1942,
I arrived at the settings described above by trial-and-error, but they apply to Symbian phones. Consumer Cellular has  recommended settings for Windows phones (hopefully attached below).  If you cannot figure it out, ask whether CC can send you a text messgae with settings (don't know if it's available for Windows phones).

First are you sure that the phone can use the UK system, the radio frequencies for India and UK might not be the same for the data, I know that BlackBerry is not sending the same model to middle-east/asia or europe as the one for north america

  • Z10 APN settings

I recently purchased a Z10 locked on Rogers/Fido from Amazon.. When I inserted my simcard Rogers simcard in, everything works fine but internet.. I cehcekd the apn setting and they were wrong and I am unable to change it. I asked Rogers customer care and they said they cant provide me with any assistance except for for giving me the apn settings. Is there anyway I can change the settings?

BlackBerry does not sell unlocked devices directly. Your device was originally branded to some carrier and unlocked.
Regardless, call the "mobile provider" to which you pay your monthly bill. If KCell doesn't offer BlackBerry service, then that's not an option, you've taken your device off-warranty.
You can get per-incident support direct from BlackBerry for a fee:

  • Why apn settings disappeared from app diagnostics?

Hello, I' m a french lumia possessor and I don't understand why apn settings has disappeared from the last version of Nokia Diagnostics?? How can we configure manually this settings now?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You need to download the Network Setup app from the Marketplace (It's under Nokia Collection)
This will automatically setup any APN and if not, This now has the option to Manually configure one

  • APN settings for Straight Talk?

What are the APN settings for Q-10 BB?

AT&T controls their settings. You'd have to ask them. From what I recall, they actually set them automatically to the device via the SIM, and they are not user adjustable. But I could be wrong in my recollection...but, again, only they (ATT) can say for sure since that is 100% in their control. Is there a reason you are reluctant to contact them for formal support on this question?
