BlackBerry App World availability in Pakistan

2 days back BlackBerry App World was finally available in Pakistan (working on wifi as well as with BIS) even though Pakistan is not yet listed in supported countries.. but today it suddenly vanished again may I know when is RIM finally making BlackBerry App World availble in Pakistan forever? Thanks.

Blackberry App World not working after update to 3.1.0.58
I have a Bold 9650. I am running BB version 6.0 Bundle 2333, Yesterday (12/25/2011) App World told me I had an update to App World. It was for version 3.1.0.58. I was at 3.1.0.56 at the time. I accepted the upgrade. After the restart, App World no longer shows up as a running application. I have restarted the Bold twice, and I can not even find the app in the "All" screen. It is listed in the Options->Device->Application Management but says it has never been used. I'm new to this beast and am stuck. Any idea how I can go back to 3.1.0.56 - which worked for me? After this, I am going to be a bit more careful before allowing updates.
Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.When I enter www.blackberry.com/appworld/download in the blackberry browser, it redirects me to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/index.do which tells me to "View Blackberry App World Availability" which in turn gives me a list of countries. But no download link or any other link - just a flat list. And, of course, it does include the USA....
So, I brought up the URL in IE after hooking up the Blackerry to my laptop, which has the plugin installed. I got the page with 2 options. "Enter an email address and it will send to my mailbox a link to the download." So I entered my email address and it sent me a link. The link that it sent me took me right back to the "View Blackberry App World Availability" page. Nothing.
The other option said to plug in the Blackberry, which was already plugged into the USB and communicating. Supposedly this will install via the USB port. But it returned the following.
"Downloads via a USB connection are not enabled for this product. Please visit our mobile download site using the browser on your BlackBerry® smartphone.
Which again gets me nowhere.
This is crazy. Can't wait to get rid of this useless "SmartPhone". What a joke. But thanks for the help... -
Movela netflix queue manager not available for download from blackberry app world
I got a message for an upgrade available for this app, every time I try to run the upgrade it gives me "movela netflix queue manager not available for download from blackberry app world" message. I deleted appworld reinstalled it twice have the same issue. I had this problem before with another app when I deleted the app to reinstall it I had to pay for it again. I already contacted the vendor and they said the issue is with appworld. Is there any solution for this
Hello randykico and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
When you purchase an application in BlackBerry App World, you should be able to delete it and reinstall it without having to repurchase it.
When you reinstall App World to refresh your purchases:
Open BlackBerry App World.
Click the Menu key, and then click
My World
Enter in your BlackBerry ID email and password, then click Login
The application list will refresh automatically
For each application that needs to be reinstalled, select it under the Uninstalled section and click
Reinstall.

Blackberry Apps World Not Available In My Country Why?
i just wanna ask if i have Blackberry device and it's legally getting sold in my country Pakistan Then Why i am not allowed to use apps from Blackberry Apps World?

Are you trying to connect to BlackBerry World using WiFi or your Mobile Network connection? When you successfully connected previously, were you using WiFi or the Mobile Network? Also, in which country was this device purchased in?

Blackberry App world is not currently available in your country
'Blackberry App world is not currently available in your country, Please check blackberry.com/appworld for updates.' - Whenever I try to access to blackberry app world I get a pop-up saying what I have written previous. I am from the United Kingdom and have been using App World previously, the last time I used it was about an hour ago so it is only a recent problem. I have updated to the latest software not too long ago, I have reinstalled App world and still no joy.
I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to what is happening?

Do you have a SIM card in the device (some Verizon devices do come with one inserted, and in the past that might have been the cause of the device being recognized as NOT from the appropriate carrier.

Blackberry app world not working. Please help me.
Okay, basically I'm having this major problem. I have a blackberry torch 9800. I've just had my phone replaced as I dropped it into a puddle.. So i'm happy I got a replacement phone, the only problem I'm having is downloading one app in particular. It's 'Barclays PingIt' i had it on my app world before I dropped my last one into a puddle, but now its almost as if blackberry app world doesn't want to let me download it again? It's fine with every other app just this one. It won't even open to let me download it. It is shown under my uninstalled list in my app world but it just won't let me open it to reinstall or download that one app.
Any suggestions on what to do as this is really getting on my **bleep**.

i cannot access the blackberry app world since 3 weeks ago it say (a blackberry update is available , when i click yes it say contacting blackberry server and then it say it failed , i went to the vodacom shop ,they couldnt assist me , i phoned vodacom customer care , she sent me a link of previous version , and it couldnt open as well error 404 , everyone says the problem lies at blackberry

BB Pearl 8130 "access not allowed!" when trying to download Blackberry App World
Hi, well I am trying to download blackberry app world onto my blackberry pearl 8130 and whenever I try to download it it goes through the language prompts but then goes to a page with "access not allowed" My device software is v4.5, I am currently in Canada, I have the data plan, I can use the internet browser and my carrier is Telus. "Access Not Allowed"? Is that the precise and exact message? If not, please do provide the precise message.
Please check this page to ensure you meet the minimum requirements (including if it is available in your country):

If it is available in your country and you feel you meet the device-level system requirements, then contact your carrier to ensure that you meet the service plan (from them) requirements for access (via their network) to AppWorld. Generic data plans, even unlimited, are usually not sufficient...a specific BB data plan is normally required.
Lastly, do be aware that AppWorld is merely a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. As such, it is not your exclusive procurement source -- there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR or Mobihand). I have found that there are very few apps that are exclusive to AppWorld. You can search the on-line catalog and then search out other procurement sources, including quite often the developer website itself.

App World Web Plugin Error
An error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Client.
Please help me with this problem. I have a new Blackberry Storm 2. When I sign in, it asked me to get the BB appworld browser plug-in and connect my smartphone. So, i did connect it. Then, this message kept on popping out. I don't know how to fix it.Okay. this is what I do.
I go onto http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/ & sign in. I then connect my phone & enter the device password. As soon as I do that, this comes up -> App World Web Plugin Error
An error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Client.
I don't know what's the problem & I've been searching for a solution but to no avail. -

Ok so have a new Blackberry Q10
One day it shows updates are available OTA so I clicked update all
Device rebooted & ever since then Blackberry App World no longer works (if you try to load, it goes to a blank screen then jumps back to normal home screen)
It's even still notifying me about app updates, but I can not install any updates!
I saw an option in Blackberry Link which indicates I can reload device software, but clicking it gives a warning it will erase EVERYTHING (even media files, contacts etc)
There must be a way to unload / reload the App World (there was in the older Blackberry Manager software) but I just don't know what to do
Any assist is greatly appreciated

We are so sorry that you are having so many difficulties. While many experience the same (a search here will reveal that fact), there are also many who have very positive experiences with their BB. Not every device is suitable for everyone -- which IMHO is why there are so many choices.
In addition, but for AppWorld, front line support for BB's is, by contract, not provided by RIM. The carriers and authorized resellers are responsible for front line formal support to end users. It is possible to bypass your carrier and seek assistance direct from RIM, but such involves fees since you are bypassing your support agreement with your carrier. The "Support and Services" tab toward the top of these forum pages provide information about that. But, if you do go through your carrier for support, they can escalate into RIM at no fee to you if they so choose to.
As to AppWorld Support (beyond what we volunteer to provide in these forums), that is available via this portal:

If you choose to submit to them in this manner, then please use, in the "Please select a component:" field, the AppWorld Billing/Payment selection. Any other selection will simply route you back anonymously to these public forums.
As to your question, RIM and the carriers both participate in AppWorld. My suspicion is that the carriers get a portion of the costs for the apps that are vended via AppWorld -- but that's just my suspicion. Hence, the use of AppWorld indeed requires a carrier (and, indeed, the proper data plan level from them).
But, AppWorld is merely a portal, vending apps that are (for the most part) developed by others. As such, it is not the only portal in the world for BB apps. There are a few, I think, apps that are exclusively vended via AppWorld...but I think that number is rather small. Consequently, if you desire an app that will allow your BB to function as you desire, you should seek out alternative vending portals. There are plenty.

Cannot use Blackberry App World or Blackberry Messenger
I have a Torch 9800 and I have downloaded App World and Messenger but they do not appear anywhere on the phone. I can see them in my applications list, but no icon and not visible on the home screen.
How do I get these to work?

If you are having trouble locating BlackBerry World as well as BlackBerry Messenger , then :
For BlackBerry App World :
If you device OS is prior to 6.0.0.706 then try Updating your device software or Download BlackBerry World version 4.0.0.55 which is the best workaround now available for BlackBerry World also uninstall BlackBerry world from Options > Device > Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry World , then perform another Battery pull restart .
Then From your BlackBerry Browser browse to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3 to download version 4.0.0.55 . In addition check this Knowledge Base for further help :
KB29422 BlackBerry App World icon is missing after upgrading to BlackBerry App World 4.0.0.63 to 4.0.0.65.
For BBM :
On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting do a Battery Pull Restart like this device POWERED ON remove the battery wait a min. then re-insert it back . After reboot from your BlackBerry Browser browse or Click here www.blackberry.com/bbm and download the most recent available for your device . If device prompt for a restart do it .If still unable to view BBM icon on your Homescreen check this Knowledge Base :
KB23968 BlackBerry Messenger icon disappears from the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone.
Please try those steps and let us know also perform a Battery pull restart after each install.

I have a question. Is it possible to download angry birds on curve 8520 when i look on my bb i can see it is but when i look at the computer at blackberry app world i can't see it's possible.

ThanksAngry birds is only available on the blackberry playbook tablet. It is not available for any blackberry smartphone.

the last few months I've had trouble with my blackberry apps world dissapearing.
I've tried showing the 'hidden' icons, nothing.... Even downloaded it again, still nothing.... I really want it back but I'm at a loss of what to do :/ It says it's installed on my device, yet it's nowhere to be found.....
