Blackberry App World is not downloading

Please can someone help, I can download any free stuff but as soon as I want to download an item I have to pay for it freezes. So when I click on the proze it goes where I have to enter my I'd and password after that it goes to please wait and there it stays until I reboot my phone. And it only does that when I want to download something I have to pay for. All the free apps I have no problem with.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
Please try this sequence:
1) Remove AppWorld from your BB
KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so
2) Using the same procedure, also remove the Identity app from your BB:
If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so
3) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1 or 2.
4) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld
http://blackberry.com/appworld/download
As part of this, it should re-install the Identity app also
Again, if it requests to reboot, do so.
5) Do another Batt-Pull reboot
6) See if it now works.
Cheers!

  • Blackberry App world is not currently available in your country

'Blackberry App world is not currently available in your country, Please check blackberry.com/appworld for updates.' - Whenever I try to access to blackberry app world I get a pop-up saying what I have written previous. I am from the United Kingdom and have been using App World previously, the last time I used it was about an hour ago so it is only a recent problem. I have updated to the latest software not too long ago, I have reinstalled App world and still no joy.
I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to what is happening?
    Thanks in Advance,

Do you have a SIM card in the device (some Verizon devices do come with one inserted, and in the past that might have been the cause of the device being recognized as NOT from the appropriate carrier.
Remove the SIM card if you do have one (for Verizon, the SIM does nothing for you anyway as long as you are not traveling internationally).

  • Error - Blackberry App World Is Not Working

Hello plz I really need an urgent help please. For weeks now my blackberry app world is not opening. It's giving me this message. ( an error has occurred and blackberry world will be close. Try waiting few minutes and reopen blackberry world) please what can I do so I can open my BlackBerry world again. Plz help me. Am using a Z10 and u can't delete it and reinstall it

Although this is an old thread, I encountered this error message a couple of days ago on both my old Q10 and new Classic.  After I verified that the BlackBerry World website was not down, I searched for a solution.
The BB tech rep told me to turn off the WiFi and try to connect over the data connection.  It worked.  Then she told me to turn off Data Services and try to connect over WiFi.  It worked.
After fits and starts, the solution was simple:  Turn off and WiFi and turn it back on again.
    I hope this helps others.

  • Error "907 invalid COD" occurs when trying to upgrade my Blackberry App World.

Hi there. My name is Molopi Mashinini and I'm using a Blackberry Bold Touch 9900. My problem is that I'm struggling to upgrade my Blackberry App World, before it downloads the application, it gives me a message saying that there's a module that already exists on my phone and that its going to be replaced. When the downloading process get to the end at 3137kb, it gives me an error message that says 907 invalid COD. Now I don't know what to do because even the Blackberry Application icon doesn't give me an option to delete it. Please help me because I can't even download or upgrade the applications on my phone.

    timmyKLB wrote:
I'm still getting the same error message when I try to download the application and I still can't delete the application from my phone because it doesn't give me an option to delete it.
Yes, I think we've discussed that more than once.
    timmyKLB wrote:
I tried all the step you gave me. Nothing seems to be working.
And I still cannot tell exactly what that means (refer to the first half of post 6 above).
    timmyKLB wrote:
My main problem is that under the application list, I can't find the delete option for the application on the menu button.
Yes, we've discussed that as well a few times. Yet you have left me completely in the dark regarding how the use of the Desktop Software worked out.
    timmyKLB wrote:
I'm even thinking of giving up because I followed all the steps but I just can't seem to delete the application.
That would be a choice only you can make. It would so greatly help me to help you if I could understand your situation better, most especially the precise results of the things I ask you to try. But, your responses continue to be so very general and vague, with multiple interpretations possible from your words, that I cannot understand how those things work out. Consequently, I am at a loss as to how to help you. I need to understand in order to help you, yet your words do not help me to understand, no matter how many times I seem to ask you for clarification. So I am even more lost than you are.

  • BlackBerry App World says I don't meet requirements.

I tried to go to the BlackBerry App World page and download it.  It said my phone doesn't meet the requirements but I have checked and it does.  Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Try accessing it on your phone's browser using the following address: http://mobile.blackberry.com.
It should show up under the What's New section and should be the first item on the list.  This is where I accessed mine from and had no problems.  The actual address for the download is http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/awclient/download.shtml?code=appworld&CPID=MBC_WHATSNEW
I hope that works for you!

I upgraded blackberry app world. After upgrading, blackberry app world icon disappeared. I had a look at the software application list and blackberry app world is not listed. How do i resolve this problem?!
    BLACKBERRY BOLD 9780

That's strange because updating it shouldn't delete it.  Anyway, it appears that's what happened so let's get it back for you.
It's as simple as going to your phone's browser and typing www.blackberry.com/appworld .  Presto, problem solved!

  • BB Pearl 8130 "access not allowed!" when trying to download Blackberry App World

Hi, well I am trying to download blackberry app world onto my blackberry pearl 8130 and whenever I try to download it it goes through the language prompts but then goes to a page with "access not allowed" My device software is v4.5, I am currently in Canada, I have the data plan, I can use the internet browser and my carrier is Telus. All help is appreciated, please and thank you!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
"Access Not Allowed"? Is that the precise and exact message? If not, please do provide the precise message.
Please check this page to ensure you meet the minimum requirements (including if it is available in your country):
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/appworld/download.jsp
If it is available in your country and you feel you meet the device-level system requirements, then contact your carrier to ensure that you meet the service plan (from them) requirements for access (via their network) to AppWorld. Generic data plans, even unlimited, are usually not sufficient...a specific BB data plan is normally required.
Lastly, do be aware that AppWorld is merely a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. As such, it is not your exclusive procurement source -- there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR or Mobihand). I have found that there are very few apps that are exclusive to AppWorld. You can search the on-line catalog and then search out other procurement sources, including quite often the developer website itself.
    Good luck!
