Blackberry Application Loader

Hey Guys,
I am new here and I need a little help.
So i tried to update all my outdated apps on Desktop manager.
When I was done, I can't use my data services unless it's through a wifi. And even then, some data services don't work.
I tried wiping the phone and I have tried re-installing the software.
What else can I do? Cause I am being billed for data services that I don't have!!
Please help!!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your wireless service provider for formal support. As you've said, you are paying them for services that they are not delivering.
Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Application Loader run automatically

    Hello all,
When I start the “BlackBerry® Desktop Manager” the “BlackBerry® Application Loader” is run automatically. It’s a problem if my PC is not connected to INTERNET, since I can’t stop it clicking on “Cancel” and the “BlackBerry® Desktop Manager” become hanged. Therefore, I can’t use my device as an External Modem.
It is happening since I updated the  “BlackBerry® Desktop Manager” to Version 5.0.1.37.
I want to configure the “BlackBerry® Desktop Manager” to ask me if I want to run the  “BlackBerry® Application Loader”, in a manual way. But I have not found how to do it.
I would appreciate if one of you can help me, please.
    Thanks,
    L.M.R.R.

On your PC > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, find Desktop Manager and click on it to CHANGE the setup. Run that. At the end of the run, you will see a couple of settings, one is Check automatiically for updates. Turn that off.

  • Application loader not working on blackberry curve 8310

    Hi all,
I have some problem with my 8310. I want to install a asian langague, but application loader not working. I have a error message :
"The blackberry desktop software does not have
Blackberry device software for the device that
you have connected to the computer. Contact
your wireless service provider or system administrator"
    blackberry desktop manager version 4.2.2.14
    blackberry device manager version 4.2.2.10
    application loader version 4.2.2.16
What is the good package to install ?
    Thanks in advance.

hello, you have a 8310. You must use an OS for the exact model. Using one for 8300 or 8330 will not work.

  • Application Loader Is Now Empty. What Happened?

Hello I finally grew up from windows mobile and went to Verizon and upgraded to a Blackberry Storm 9530. The software in the box was version 4.7 which seems to be the most up to date. I installed it and hooked up my Storm a couple of times and the Application Loader would show everything installed on my Storm. I installed a couple of other apps on the side today without the software and they worked fine. Also, they showed up in the Application Loader with the default loaded software. Tonight I decided to hook the Storm back up to the PC and I went to search for updates for my software. When it tried to download the updates it gave a fatal error and the BB Desktop Manager crashed. My Storm then went to a white screen with a clock and would not response. I had to pull the battery and put it back in to boot my Storm back up. Ever since then when I go to the application loader it only shows the 2 apps I installed today and not any of the other apps so that I can remove or update them. They appear to be on my Storm and function, but not in that list. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled after a reboot and still only those 2 files show.
What can I do to fix my first BB that I now seem to have broken?
    Thanks in advance,
    A new and worried user.

  • Uncaught error java nullpoint exception, email icons disappeared, application loader unable to back up data, desktop manager unable to connect

    Model:  Curve 8900
    Provider: At&t
    Platform: 4.2.0.108
I'm ready to throw this phone in the blender.... if I could only back up my data first. A couple of months ago the What's App application required an update. I updated it and ever since my phone has steadily had more and more issues. First, I kept getting this uncaught error message, shortly thereafter the 2 email accounts (both gmail) that I have linked to the account disappeared. The message icon shows that I have messages, but icons not there (I have tried the show all option). At one point the message icon started exponentially adding the number of messages until it got up to over 86,000. When I reboot the phone it goes back down and then steadily increases again... usually though it's more to 400 - 500 rather then tens of thousands. I have been trying to install updates and do a wipe of the BB so that I can start from scratch, unfortunately the application loader is unable to back up data. The desktop manager is unable to connect to the blackberry and indicates that an upgrade is required. I have tried doing the upgrade both directly from the phone and connected to the desktop manager, but nothing seems to work. If I try to upgrade the software directly from the BB, I get to the start download button and when I click, nothing happens. I have removed all applications except bberry app world and one game that I play, Pixelated Plus. Still nothing. Any ideas?

Do you want to save the messages?
If not (and I think they are the problem) open the Desktop Software > Device > Delete Data and click the "select Data" option. Select the Messages to remove. Complete the prompts and finish.
Then, return to backup the entire device, and see if that is possible to complete this time with no messages.
Now, once the back up is done and you have your data, you can disconnect the device.
Now, use BBSAK to wipe the device and subsequently load the new operating system.
**If you cannot complete the backup again above, you might have to do without it, OR you can use the Desktop Software to sync your Address book, calendar, memos and tasks to Outlook. OR, you can easily install and use BlackBerry Protect to backup your device over the air to RIM servers, then once wiped and the new OS reloaded, you can use Protect to restore the data back to the 8900. << This you should do regardless.
Good luck, post back here as you have questions.

  • Application Loader Via Desktop Software

    Hi All
Ive just got my 1st Blackberry (8120), after using Nokia's for many years, and so far so good
I downloaded the latest version of the desktop software, and im trying to upload things by the application loader such as themes.
however i have already got the theme, and the Opera mini browser but the appliction wants to remove what ive already installed on my phone even if i take out the tick box on the applications it wants to remove and I have deslected "erase all currently installed applications" in the options menu.
Why does the application installer insist on removing any prev installed files, does anyone know a way around this - many thanks
    Ste

Try this to put the software on device..
Open DTM - then application loader. on the first screen, connect the blackberry WITH THE BATTERY OUT.
Leave it for up to 3 mins till you see the pin number flash under connections.
Then press next and then replacement the battery.
The follow the steps found Here.
This of course will only work if you actually have the Device software installed to the computer as well.
To check if you do, open up desktop Manager - Help - About Desktop Manager - Click Device Software Tab.
In here you should see the software installed to the pc listed.
If not, go to http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/do ... _sites.jsp to download the software specific for your carrier/device.
Failing all this, your carrier should have escalated the call to RIM to do a javaload over the phone with you before they authorised a replacement device. Oh well not to worry.
RIM do a javaload when the application loader won't recognise the device, with or without the battery in it.
Also make sure there is no other power going to usb devices and if a laptop, have it plugged into ac power.
Good luck and let us know how you go!
If your issue is resolved, put a checkmark in the green box that contains the resolution.

  • Hit the application loader button and I accidentally removed everything from my phone.

When I turned my computer on, the Blackberry Desktop Manager popped up.   I hit the application loader button and it completely deleted everything that was in my phone.  Is there anyway to get my information back.  I assume it is somewhere in my computer now and I am hoping I can reverse the process.  I noticed now that it says disconnected.  Obviously I am new to the process. Please help!  Thanks!!

Have you done at least one backup action before with Blackberry Desktop Manager ?
If yes - check your "My Documents" folder. There is a file with extension ipd
And into this file there is the saved data from your device.

  • Application Loader error after upgrading to DT 6.1

I upgraded Desktop from 6.0.1.18 to 6.1.0.35 (Windows XP SP3), and now I'm getting
a popup with the following message when I connect the phone (Torch 9800, 6.0 Bundle 695)
    and type in the password.
Handheld Application Loader Wizard has encountered a   problem and needs to close.
Clicking on the detail link in the popup produces another popup with this info:
       AppName: loader.exe   AppVer: 6.0.1.33  ModName: loader.exe   ModVer: 6.0.1.33  Offset: 0015a360
Desktop runs after dismissing the popups, but Applications cannot be viewed, and Music
sync no longer works.  There were no such problems with DT 6.0.1.18.
Any idea how to fix this?

I like you to check out the other 'Handheld error' link:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Handheld-Application-Loader-Wizard-ha...
I spent some time of trying different loader versions and found out that loader version 6.0.1.15 seemed to overcome the error problem. The idea is to replace your current loader.exe version 6.0.1.33 with an older version 6.0.1.15 which I found on the Bell Device Software download page for the Torch 9800. We need to install this device software temporarily and then uninstall it again so it does not conflict with your AT&T device software in case you need it.
Note that we copy this device software temporarily to get version 6.0.1.15 installed in the ‘AppLoader’ folder of the DTM (Desk Top Manager). This works only if one first deletes the loader.exe file in this folder before one installs Bell's Torch 9800 Device Software.
I recommend to store a copy of this older folder version, say on your desktop afterwards in case future DTM upgrades still cause this 'Handheld error' till RIM has time to look at this issue and fix it. If we install a DTM it will always put its new loader version into the 'AppLoader' folder and overwrites whatever is present. This is what happened to you. If you have copy of this previous loader version then re-install it and skip my solution 6.0.1.15.
Check out page 2 of the above link for the rest of the info and tell me which USB host controller resides in your PC with the ‘Handheld error’. I am collecting ‘lemon’ USB controllers for the record. Who knows what other problems
    are related to these trolls?

  • Reload Software:552 and then "Application loader was unable to connect with your device."

    Hi guys
I'm new to this forum and looking for a help please..
My curve 8900 got the "Reload Software:552" message on the screen. I was trying to uninstall an application and after it asked me to reboot, it showed me that message. I already try to reinstall the OS like most of you guys said. But when I already in the process of that, it showed me "Application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect yout device, enter password, if requiered, and retry"
    I was trying this steps..
    1. use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager
    2. connect the BlackBerry to the computer using a USB cable
    3. click application loader, then start
    4. then i choose the OS and apps i want to install it also
    5. after i click finish and the process start, i stuck on the task 2 of 5 "wait for device initialization" and then the message "Application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect yout device, enter password, if requiered, and retry"  showed.
I try and try again but there is no use. it keeps show that message.
help me please, this really frustrates me
    Thanks in advance guys..

    1. Make certain your USB cable is connected to a main REAR USB port on the rear of the PC, not a front USB port, not a USB hub.
    2. Try loading the OS with these instructions (make sure that Desktop Manager is not running):
    1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • Anyone getting this Application Loader problem?

Not sure what's happening here but I am having no joy at all in getting application loader to upload our binary to Apple.
I get any one of the attached errors when trying to upload out 106mb binary.
    Anyone had a similar experience.
I also tried creating a new application in itunesconnect and uploading on the web but get an error message then also.
    Here's a screen shots:
    http://dev1.origincreative.com/applicationloader_error2.jpg
    The third error reads:

Guess it looks like a service outage at Apple's end but I have been trying all over the weekend. Interested to see it anyone has had the same issue the past couple of days

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Odd...well, perhaps the de-install instructions are different? You can check the RIM KB for a clean uninstall here:
     http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB02206&slic...
Followed by a clean install here:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&thread.id=3...
    Hopefully that'll help.
I have, however, heard of others that have followed the clean uninstall yet had to manually edit their PC registry and manually remove any and all BB/RIM entries...and that got them going. Use that advise at your own risk, of course...

  • Desktop Messenger 5.0.1 Application Loader a wreck

I love my new Storm2, but the DM 5.0.1 Application Loader seems to be in a useless state of wreckage.   I am being asked to update the 5.0 Core apps, which I have already done.   It is trying to remove Blackberry Messenger 4.7, which was long ago replaced by BM 5.0.   Now it insists on downgrading or removing my purchased version of Documents To Go 2.0.    Yes, I have the newest version (before someone even brings it up).   PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the App Loader!!!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It really isn't an issue of the app loader as much as it is a problem of it seeing the applications on your desktop as newer, for the OS you have installed. Yes, it doesn't make much sense, I agree.
For you DocsToGo, search across your entire c: hard drive for documentstogo.alx and delete any instance of it.
For the BBMessenger, my experience is that app loader will indicate it is about to delete the BBMessenger , but it won't. It is saying that the BBMessenger it sees will not be loaded, due to the BBM v5 on the device, and since it is a part of the core apps, it wants to.
Just ignore it. It will all work out in the wash as soon as RIM updates the core apps to include BBM v5

  • Force detection using Application Loader - PROBLEM

I have never had my 8220 flip connected to any computer and it has the JVM 545 error.  I have printed out the directions from this web site on how to do the force however after double clicking the application loader I have 2 options either update or add/remove, and either option gives me the same problem, it cannot detect the blackberry attached (because the battery is out), my only option then is cancel, not okay, so what now?
    Thanks

    Hello Kadscoz,
I would suggest you try to use the Web-Based software loader as outlined in this post. If this doesn't work, try it on another computer if you have access to one.  It sounds like the computer isn't detecting the BlackBerry.
    cheers,

'Handheld Application Loader Wizard has encountered a problem and needs to close'
    followed by the message
'A fatal error has occured whilst updating your devices software. Please try again.'
I'm pretty new to Blackberry and tried reinstalling the software but the message continues to come up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Handheld application loader wizard

This is becoming a major issue for a lot of bb users.  I've been working for weeks now to try and resolve this issue for myself with the bb desktop software for your PC.  Using Blackbeery destop software everythime I try and access Applications or update the device ' Handheld application loader wizard has encontered an error and needs to close' comes up preventing you from accessing or updating.  I believe that the problem lies in file Loader in Program files/commonfiles/Apploader where even after uninstalling DTM and all BB software old device software  and even deleting this file it seems to still stay on your computer and refuse to remove or update.  Not that I'm any expert just what I've gathered from trying to fix this for weeks.  Has anyone found a solution or followed steps that's worked for them?  I know that a lot of people are having the same issue but the help I've followed I haven't been able to complete the tasks as I've encountered other problems.  Please help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yes sure.  Okay it is a little complicated but it does solve the problem and you will then be able to update your device and access applications on your device.  The problems we've all been having lies with what’s in the file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.  Please don't ask me why because I do not know, I just know that the version that is staying in this file is causing the 'Handheld application loader wizard error'
I will go through how to avoid this error in simple steps but I must add if the steps are not followed exactly right it will not work and you will continue to get the error.
    1.  Please access this file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and delete the contents of the folder so that it is empty.  If you can't delete all contents make sure all Blackberry software is exited and then try.  Other than this delete it straight after you start your computer.
    2. Uninstall all Blackberry software using add/remove programs.  Leave no software on your computer of Blackberry.
    3. This is where it may be different for different people.  Please open this page using Internet Explorer (I tried using Firefox first and I could not initialize the link after I downloaded it ):
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    4. On this page select your country and service provider.  In my case this was Orange UK in Europe. Then please select your Smartphone from the drop down link at the bottom and then click next.  You will then notice 3 different download links appear underneath that with three different versions.  If you don't know what version your device currently is please on your device go to Options>About device versions on the main screen.  This will then tell you your bundle number, version number and platform number.  You may then think hold on my version number and platform number does not match any of the download links.  Don't panic neither did mine.  So I selected the nearest matching by closest digits.  Alternatively you could try them 1 by 1 but I didn't have to myself.
    5. After you download the link please run it and install it.  You should then have the right device software in your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader folder.   To then update the device please use this link.  Do not install Blackberry Desktop Software to update the device or access the applications.
    To Update click:
    http://us.blackberry.com/update/
This should then update your device with out any problems.  If it does not work go back to steps 3 and 4 until you have the software for your device, Country and service provider.
To access your applications on your device is a little different.  Please connect your device via USB cable.  Please open folder: Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and double click 'LOADER' This will then take you through the process of accessing applications on your device.  Again if this doesn't work you need to go back to steps 3 and 4 and get the download you need for your service provider and device.
These options are not ideal but they are a solution until Blackberry finds the real cure for the problem which I'm sure they will.  If you would like to add to my steps or have a better solution please feel free to mention it and I will also try them myself.  This how ever was the only method that I have managed to get to work for me at this time.  Please if you need to ask anything because you don't understand the instructions, do so and I will try and explain better.  Good luck and please leave your feedback.

  • BlackBerry 8100 - Loading Software Fail Again and Again

    Hi Dear BlackBerry 8100 Users.
My history is very sad, because some days ago I try to load the software from version 4.5 using the application loader for my specific celular service provider, but The process fail again and again and again... My BlackBerry is dead..

¿Anybody has a possible solution for this problem or advices or procedures to follow?
Note: I configure the USB hub to avoid the process of saving power
    Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the forums!
It sounds like maybe you computer isn't able to power the device when the process is "Waiting for device initialization".  Are you using a laptop computer?  Here are a few articles about USB connection issues.

And here is a post on the forums about how to use the Web-Based software loader to load your device software - I have had some success using this when other methods fail.
