BlackBerry Blend Update

I have Blackberry Z30My desktop has asked me to install a blackberry blend update?I found this - Downloading BlackBerry 10 Desktop Software Installer v1.2.0.52 (Windows OS)It asks that I close down the Blackberry Blend Application before proceeding, which I do, and still an error occurs and still it asks me to close down the application when it is clearly closed!?Any advice?Thank you

Please add more features to BlackBerry Blend

It would be nice if BlackBerry Blend allowed me to send and respond to Facebook messages from within BlackBery Blend instead of having to pick up my BlackBerry Z30 every time I receive a new Facebook message. I like how I can already send and respond to emails, text messages and BBM messages from within BlackBerry Blend but it would really be great if Facebook messages can be sent and responded to in the same way through BlackBerry Blend. In addition to that, it would be nice if the email signature that I configured on my BlackBerry Z30 will also show up whenever I use the BlackBerry Blend connection to either compose and send a new email or respond to a email conversation. Lastly, I'm not sure if this will be possible but it certainly would be amazing if my computer could display who's calling me when my BlackBerry is connected via Blend and maybe enable me to answer the call from my computer. That last suggestion might be me dreaming but it would be nice if the first two suggestions were implemented in a BlackBerry Blend update.

I'm guessing that since Muse is part of CC, an infinite array of other shapes can be created in Illustrator, so there's no need to put that capability in Muse.

Blend won't connect. "You must turn on Blackberry Blend from the Quick Settings menu on your device"

Hello,
I'm trying to set up Blend for the first time.
I have a Passport - running the latest OS and a laptop running Windows 7 Pro.
When I open BB Blend, it never gets past the message "You must turn on Blackberry Blend from the Quick Settings menu on your device".
It is turned on...

Troubles with Blackberry Blend

Hello,
I have a Blackberry Z10 and I just installed the new version with Blackberry Blend.
So, to link my computer and my phone, I downloaded the program "Blackberry Blend" on my computer without any problem. My computer runs with WINDOWS VISTA.
But when I started the program on my computer after having installed it, a window is opening and i have a message saying "SetCurrentProcessExplicitAppUserModelID is not found in SHELL32.dll"
Can you help me please ?!

Cannot print from Blackberry Blend for the Classic

It would be nice to print emails from Blackberry Blend. Curently you cannot print anything. Will this feature be implemented in the future?

Blackberry blend and q10

Hello there!
My blackberry Q10 just went through an OS update and is currently 10.3.1.1565. Together with this update came Blackberry Blend, but my computer and blackberry can not connect via wifi or usb cable - it constantly says - "update your device with the latest version of blackberry blend app".... Well, it is the very latest and pc blend is latest, but it cant still connect to it..
now i have seen somewhere that BB Q10 is not even listed as compatible phone for blend, so how come and why this Blend appeared in my phone??
Oh, i have windoes 8.1 in my PC and blackberry Link works with usb and wifi both, so its just Blend that doesnt work ....
Anyone? Help?

Error Message Blackberry Blend isn't responding.

The error message reads Blackberry blend isn't responding. Please restart device or try connection again.
Let me be clear this isnt a new issue for me I just quit trying to get it work months ago. I've tried every trouble shooting step I can think of. It connects to blackberry link just fine. Blend even see the device is connected and automatically attemps to pair.
Blend app as been turn on using the quick setting and going into the traditional way.
I've tried Usb, Wifi, and mobile network connections to get this app to work.
I reinstalled both link and blend numerous times.
Disabled my anti virus.
Device connections are allowed on the phone.
Let me restate I can connect to BB Link using all 3 methods.
The system as a whole has been way more responsive since the latest update 10.3.1 but blend still doesnt work 4 months later.

Blackberry Blend loading issue

Hello everyone, i have an annoying problem with blackberry blend. If I write an E-Mail via Blend on my Windows PC (Win 8.1), then i get after sending a loading circle where i usualy see the written message (this loading circle appears in both Hubs - PC and Blackberry device). If i write the E-Mail with my Blackberry Z10, then i have no issues of this type. Anyone know this problem and can help me to solve it? Perhaps the Firewall or the Antivirus (i am using Avast)? This error is normall associated with Framework and with Visual C+++ Runtime modules.
Make sure Microsoft Framework is installed and up to date.

After Blend is installed, if it will not find the phone services even though the phone is properly connected to the computer and it can be verified as connected it is important to make sure the Firewall settings are not blocking it. The Firewall settings may be required to be modified to allow Blend to communicate with the phone. Normally this is not an issue, but we have run in to this before. Even if Windows Firewall is turnned off these settings in the Windows Firewall setup seem to always be effective.

I have reset both my torch and playbook back to original only thing that I kept was my contact. And still problems I am a few min away from leave my loved blackberry and going android !! Or heaven help us Phone
Issues 1) playbook wont connect to desktop manager anymore
2) Play book has 2 calendar icons with two different settings on them ??? I have one that is currently working with my yahoo email and calendar account.
3) my Phone when connected to desk top software shows the calendar as read only

Did you try to eboot the your PC or laptop where your device is connected ?
I experienced this with my windows laptop, after a failed to do an update, I restart the laptop and my Torch, then retried, and it's worked

Blackberry Blend works on PC and MAC, but not iPad or Galaxy Note 10.1

I just cannot get Blackberry Blend to work on my iPad or Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Blend is connecting find via my Win 7 laptop and also my iMac. Both they and the ipad and galaxy Note are on the same wifi network.
When I try Blend on the iPad, it shows the my BB Passport as a connection option, however when I select the Passport it tries to connect and then reconnect, however times out and goes back to select the device screen.
On the Galaxy, it gives me a message saying my BB is not connected to the network.
All units have the latest Blend version. My Passport runs the 10.3.0 OS.
Any suggestions?

Are you able to restart your device in safe mode as shown in KB17877?
I assume, since it's caught in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the Desktop Software it doesn't take a stable connection to reinstall your software?
If that is case, remove your battery and keep it out when you connect to the Desktop Software. You will get a pop up that the device can't connect and there should be Retry, Update and Cancel buttons. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the current device software version.
When the load is progressing, you will see a step that says "Wait for device initialization". At this point, insert the battery and the reload should complete.

Apps won't install: BlackBerry Desktop Mgr failed to validate your BlackBerry device update

Just tried out the new Desktop Manager for Mac and it seems to blow up when trying to either install or uninstall applications.
I get the following error:
BlackBerry® Desktop Manager failed to validate your BlackBerry® device update.
Validation failed because a module marked for add (net_rim_platform_resource__pt) is not available on local disk
Some users have reported success with uninstalling an app first, but no luck with me.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

Hi,
I've had the same problem and I have figured it out...for me anyway. Make sure you have the latest version of Blackberry Desktop Manager and obviously the lastest software for BlackBerry Torch also. So, ths is what worked for me...
connect phone to computer and click on Applications (top right)
click "Check for Updates"
click "Show Other Versions" (if there are no updates for phone)
chose "BlackBerry 6.0 6.0.0.246 (Current Version-Reload)
then select
Once this has reloaded and your device is restarted go back to Applications and add/delete (by checking or un-checking) what you want.
*Warning: I had a fair amount of trouble with error messages or something having to be reset, but after going through all the red tape and turning my phone off and on again a couple times it worked!!
Hope this helps or at least gets you started.

BlackBerry Blend won't open on Mac OS X 10.10

Hi there,
I just recently got my BlackBerry Passport (awesome device!) and wanted to try BLEND on my MacBook Air.
My MacBook runs the Golden Master of Apples latest OS (10.10).
Blend installed fine and Link is working correctly. When I try to open Blend the icon just bounces up and down in the dock and after 5 - 7 seconds it stops bouncing. Blend didn't open and did not give out any error messages.
I tried uninstalling, cleaning and re-installing, nothing solved the problem.
Is anybody experiencing the same issues or does anyone have a solution or ideas on how to solve it?

Hi, I'm having the same problem, I have used blend only one time on my mac. Upgrading to yosemite didn't fixed it either.
When running it from the commandline i get the following errors.
