Blackberry Bold 9900 / Enterprise Activation

Thank you in advance for your help with this matter.
I have purchased the Blackberry bold 9900 smart phone couple of days ago.
Not an expert myself but expected better from our own IT Dept…seems that they need help themselves.
Not certain how to find enterprise activation icon on blackberry 9900 bold.  Usually this is what I do:
Options>>device>>advanced System Setting>>Enterprise setting.
For some odd reason…enterprise setting is not there.  It is not also under set up…just the web based emails setting.
I have tried the wipe out but nothing changed.
Would be grateful if someone could be kind please to tell me what to do.

    when activating a SIM card on a BlackBerry Bold 9900 on the newest available build of BlackBerry OS 7, for example if two or more SIM cards of the same provider are used with different devices, using the code *100#, a system sound reminiscent of the characteristic BIOS sound on a computer will be played, however this sound is too loud and there does not seem to be an obvious way to adjust the sound or at least its volume.
    Is there any way to adjust this?

  • Blackberry Bold 9900 OS software update from version 7.0.0 to version 7.1.0

    Helo Everyone
    I tried to upgrade my Blackberry Bold 9900 device software from version 7.0.0 to version 7.1.0 but having difficulties. I tried using the Blackberry Desktop Manager but there was no version 7.1.0 listed among the available updates. Even when I tried to do it directly via the Blackberry official website, Version 7.1.0 was also not listed. Finally I tried to do the update with my phone directly by accessing: Options>Device>Software Updates.
    It displayed my Current Version of 7.0.0 Bundle 2406 and an available version 7.1.0 Bundle 1149. But when I Clicked Perform Update to download the new version it showed preparing to download but then displayed an error message such as "The download cannot continue because your device cannot connect to the update server using any of the following methods:Wi-Fi".
    Meanwhile, I did not perform the upgrade with Wi-Fi because I have an active blackberry data subscrip of 2GB from my mobile network provider.
    Please I need help on how to perform the upgrade from version 7.0.0 to version 7.1.0 with the latest Bundle.

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:

    It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
    6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:

    Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
    If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
    If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

    Sync old iPhone 3G to iTunes on your computer. Then connect new iPhone 4S to computer and Restore from Back-Up of the 3G. This command can be found, on Windows you right mouse click on iPhone name in left column of iTunes, on Mac Option click on iPhone name in left column of iTunes.

    I'm just confirming that what Escon-eu said about not being able to turn off the touchscreen function is correct.  The 9900's touchscreen is part of the essence of the phone and therefore has its touchscreen functions built in to the OS.

  • My blackberry bold 9900 makes a lot of freezes when i receive and sent on whatsapp

    i get my blackberry bold 9900 OS 7.0.0
    it freezes a lot when whatsapp get in use, receive or sent, but when i close the application and restart the device, everything get back in exellent condition
    the whatsapp application, is stuck in 2.9.571 version, it shows that i have to update it and when i do the update nothing happened still on the old version with a lot of freezes when i use it. 
    NB: this application effect the device with freezes since ever, before it get stuck in that version.

    First thing? Check the File Free at Options > Status, what is the number at File Free?
    Now, leaving the device powered ON, remove the battery of your device, hold a minute, replace and reboot.

  • Switch from BlackBerry Q10 to BlackBerry Bold 9900

    I need to transfer from a BlackBerry Q10 to a BlackBerry Bold 9900 and retain the data in the Remember app on the Q10.  Any idea how to do this?

    Nevermind, I did some more searching, Googling, etc. and found out that BlackBerry is not able to be downgraded from 10 OS to earlier devices.  A bit of a shame really.  My boss had deciced he wants to go back to his 9900 and is expecting me to transfer all his data.  Looks I've got a few hours worth of typing ahead of me.

    The only thing that i can think of would be physically unplugging the cable, however, the device would not function properly because there would be too little load on the circuity and certain components would not function properly I would believe because i broke a BB bolds 9930 keyboard flex cable and the device got way hot and shut off until i changed the keyboard. I believe the 99xx was designed to be perfectly balanced voltage wise and no components could be unplugged because of this.

  • BlackBerry Bold 9900 - Volume Up button jamed

    Goodday to all
    my blackberrry 9900 bold is having a problem with it's music volume keys. when i want to increase the the volume of a song, the phone's louderspeaker volume continues to go louder automatically, and  a while later after i already turnt up the volume. it sometimes also skips a song with me pressing the key.
    how do i stop this ? please it is so irritating.

    Hi @bkirby02! Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
    Since you purchase it new I don't think there is an IT policy that's stopping you to setup your email.
    IT's more likelty that ATT has not correctly provisioned your BlackBerry for BlackBerry data services.
    Contact them again and make sure they resend your service books and reprovision your data.

  • Blackberry Bold 9900 would not sync with Desktop Software for MAC

    When connecting my Bold 9900 to my MAC the Desktop Software opens correctly, phone is recognised and connected but the SYNC option is not available. I cannot click the Green sync button nor click the relevant sync button under the device tab.

  • For 10 days now, I have not been able to sync the calendar between iMac and Blackberry Bold 9900. Events prior to 10 days get moved over to Bold but not new events.

    iCal in MacBook Air was able to sync with bold 9900. However, in the last 10 days, no new events created in iCal is moving over to Bold 9900. Is there an issue with iCal

    The seller has been nothing but helpful. They have contacted O2 relentlessly to try to fix this. I've paid through PayPal so money is safe anyway. Seller says O2 mistakenly thought my phone was stolen and barred it for some reason. I can't get any more information from O2 or the seller. I was scheduled to meet with someone on Friday but couldn't get any details from my phone because it is barred. This person doesn't answer calls from numbers they don't know because PPI claim cold calls are particularly problematic for them. Therefore the person was probably at the meeting place on Friday while I was AWOL. O2 has actively created problems in my life. I will definitely file a complaint. I hope I will be compenstated in some form for this complete dis-service I have received.

  • Blackberry Bold 9900 stuck on boot screen

    Hello,
    My BB Bold 9900 has been stuck on the boot screen for a long time now - each time i re-insert the battery or conect to a power supply the the boot screen comes up starts to load and then stops just above the 'bavck' button and then stays like that fior ever untl i unplg or take the battery out.
    I have put in new batteries but it still does the same, it has been left of for a while due to being out the counrty and when i came back to turn it on the above keeps happeneing.
    I have conected it to the BlackberryDesktop manager with out battery and i get a pop up asking to 'repair' 'updater' or 'cance' . when i select repair it wount do anything and update starts and then ask me to update software etc and each time i select the update it comes back with an error and im unable to do so anymore.
    Please help somebody.

    This process will erase all data in your phone memory. Via JSanders.
    1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.

    2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Congrats! Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
    NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.

    Just select the appropriate device model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.

  • Migrating to Z10 from blackberry bold 9900

    What is a nice simple step by step procedure for migrating my data from a blackberry bold to a Z10. I have spent hours wasting time with device switch. I also downloaded some stupid ap that doesn t seem to do anything.  really shows why blackberry has not be successful. Simple stuff like this really turns people off.

    Otherwise, you will need to express yourself more clearly and kindly, explaining what failed or what errors you encountered.

While you may not value any information you've received from this forum, that's your problem and yea, mostly just a pissy attitude problem.   • Blackberry bold 9900 Number of Icons row in Home Screen.

    Occassionally the "All" screen starts displaying two rows of icons instead of the normal single row.  Again, very random.  To correct this, I open Options, Display, Home Screen Preferences, then Rest Setting and select Icon Arrangement.  That fixes it immediately, but still not sure of the root cause.
    I have worked this out on the bold 9900. You simply touch the screen to open up the menu. When it is opened, simply touch the menu header and drag it down to show the desired number of rows. One or two, or pull it down till they all go down to show no icons!
