  • Problems getting BlackBerry Bridge to work

I downloaded BlackBerry Bridge on my Bell BB Bold 9700 and it is defaulted to "Off".  Earlier tonight I tried connecting the phone and PlayBook via. Bluetooth and for a few minutes the two devices recognized each other on the devices, but it hasn't been able to connect.  Any ideas on how to rectify this problem?

    I solved it.
1st I used the advice on the following link to make sure the airport express was configured right - but I used an ethernet cable to get started:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8082941&#8082941
2nd I then disconnected the ethernet cable and moved the airport to connect with my speakers and turned on
3rd IMAC picked it up and more importantly itunes piked up the speakers
4th I got this error message: "An error occurred while connecting to the remote speaker 'speaker_name'. An unknown error occurred (XXXX)."
when I tried to play music but this was solved after a bit of googling as follows:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2278
    5th Now it's working!!
Can't believe it - only took about 4 hours!!

  • Q10 blackberry bridge to playbook problem

I have installed blackberry bridge on Q10 and playbook.  Successfully paired them up. However, on the playbook, i only see Calendar, BBM icons, but missing the email icon, which is the most useful one.  why please?
when i had the blackberry curve, this was not a problem.  thanks

Currently the only Bridge features available in the Bridge folder are SMS and BBM. You can't read the BB email on the Playbook any longer. You will need add the email account to the Playbook just as it's added to your Q10.

  • Problem accessing files via Blackberry Bridge

Not sure if anyone is having this issue....I've got the blackberry bridge installed, and I can access my messages, contacts, etc.  However if I go into the Bridge Files menu, I am unable to open anything.  I tap it and it just does nothing.  If I go into the sheet to go app on the Playbook, I am able to access my files off my blackberry, however every single one opens up read only (which kinda defeats the purpose)
Any ideas?  Is there a setting I am missing?

  • Blackberry bridge calender problems

    hello,
i have no possibility to mark calender entries as privat at the playbook.
second issue, if more then one entry with the same start time the playbook calender shows only one. The torch shows all.
    best regards

Hello Steven_online and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
What version of BlackBerry Bridge are you using? Options>Device>Application Management. If it not version 1.0.4.9, you will need to update it.
I have tested this with my device Calendar and my PlayBook and was able to see 3 appointments scheduled for the same time. I tried in the Month, Day and Week view and was able to see them.
I also used a different email account for one entry and it showed up.
As for the Mark as Private option missing on the PlayBook, bridged applications don't have all the features as they do on the BlackBerry.

  • Blackberry Curve 8520 problems with Blackberry Bridge

    Hi All Please help me!!!
I have a curve 8520 details & spec below. I have owned a Blackberry Playbook since Feb this year. Originally when I installed the Blackberry Bridge to my curve I managed to pair the 2 devices and I happily used this for a few months. I think an update came on my phone in App World and one day a couple of months ago I simply couldn't pair the devices. I did the usual un-install and re-install of all necessary applications but to no avail. I have searched forum after forum to try and find out what is wrong. I can see the application on my curve from Appworld and from options/applications/Ad-ons. However is is not visible on the phone in downloads or applications. I have un-installed and re installed numerous times.

    Hello campocath,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Are you able to see the BlackBerry Bridge application icon on your device home screen? If not, have you checked to see if it is hidden? You can press the menu button and select show all to unhide it. If you are able to locate it, try moving the BlackBerry Bridge application icon to the applications folder. Use this link http://blck.by/1g0TgHg to see instructions on page 197 on how to move application icons to a folder.
Let us know if that helps.
    Thank you

  • Blackberry Bridge App not showing on phone

    Hi,
Firstly, I realise that this is more an issue for the phone forum, but it relates to the PB so have posted it here.
I have a Pearl 9105 running OS6 (bundle 2646). I had Blackberry Bridge installed on it to connect to my PB, but since an upgrade to version 1.0.7.4 last Saturday the icon has disappeared from the phone. I have tried uninstalling, performing a battery pull, reinstalling and then a further battery pull, but it does not show up at all, though does say in Application Management that it is installed.
Please can someone suggest some way to get it to reappear?
    Many thanks,
    Neil

  • Blackberry Bridge with Proxy

    Hi,
I'm using Blackberry Bridge with my Playbook and it works great for email when it's not connected to the Wifi, but when I connect to the corporate Wifi (which uses a proxy) the Bridge tries to use the Wifi for the Messaging (and other) applications. This causes problems as when you try to run the Messaging application you recieve a message similar to this from the corporate proxy server:
    Access Denied to http://127.0.0.2:187/messages
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this? It would be nice if the bridge knew to always use the Bluetooth not the Wifi, or if there was an option in the Proxy settings to list exclusions from the proxy.
    Thanks,
    John

Yep, exact same issue here.  I haven't found a work around for this as of yet, I'm also interested if anyone has a solution?
For now, I've been unchecking the 'use HTTP proxy' in wifi setup so I can at least bridge with my BB for mail/calendar and the have limited ability to use the browser to navigate to company internal sites etc (that do not require proxy credential auth).  If I need to access the 'outside' with the PB browser, I've been manually editing the proxy server info on the PB.  (which subsequently kills the ability to send/rec mail etc)  Ugh...
This is definitely not ideal, I'm hoping this is addressed/resolved in upcoming updates.  (preferably proxy auto-detect, but bridge simply ignoring the proxy settings would do the trick)

  • Bluetooth, Blackberry bridge and Playbook not linking to Q10

    Please.....
After checking settings and browsing the Internet for possible problems or fixes, I'm having frustrating problems in linking my phone and playbook when they worked fine before a few wks back, does anyone know if this has been a recent problem or if this has been resolved, it does seem a waste of my 64gb playbook if I can no longer use Blackberry bridge (link from Q10 still doesn't do what it is meant to do as it did with me 9800) or bluetooth link up? Please i'm going spare here trying to fix or search for updates that always say 'unavailable for this device', starting to regret getting my new Q10  that i've had for 3mths where bridge doesn't work, bluetooth doesn't get connected properly and useful apps are not available for new Q10 device, my playbook worked wonders with my 9800!
    CTEvans

Your Playbook will never work with the Q10 like it did with with your 9800. That's just the way it is.
I would try disconnecting both devices, unpair them, and then reboot both devices and reconnect using the Bridge app. Once they do connect about all you can do access the Internet on the Playbook using your Q10.

  • Blackberry Bridge CURVE 8520

I cannot downlaod the Blackberry Bridge application onto my Curve 8520 to synch with my Playbook. I am on the O2 network in the UK, have version 5 OS system . I have tried everything - any suggestions? Thanks

I have the same problem. The message is that it is not supported by the devise or carrier. I know its not the carrier cause I have installed on another phone (blackberry bold). Please help - bought my son a playbook but wont be so clever if he cant install the bridge app...

  • Is the Blackberry bridge 100% compatible to connect to a Playbook 64GB with a new 9360 BB?

My question is around the following situation:
If I have a new 9360 Blackberry can I share my internet bandwidth via blackberry bridge to a new 64GB BB Playbook?

Bridge will work fine for emails, BBM and PIM but you might need a tether plan for bridge browser.

  • Playbook locks up when using Blackberry Bridge

    Playbook OS:
    1.0.7.2670 Build 52084
    Blackberry Torch 9800:
    6.0 Bundle 2647
    Blackberry Bridge 1.0.4.9
I have an issue where my Playbook will freeze when I enable (connect) via Blackberry Bridge.  It will initially connect with no problems, but the moment I try to respond to an email from my Playbook, the Messages application will stop responding then all the applictions in the Blackberry Bridge section will not respond, then the Playbook will stop responding alltogether.  I figured upgrading to the new build of Blackberry Bridge on my Torch as well as the recent OS upgrade  on my Playbook would have helped, but no dice...  Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance!
    Solved!

yes, I assume there is a small partition that has the OS from the factory, but as soon as you setup the WiFi, it automatically upgrades to the latest OS.
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it wiped the OS. The only knock is having to go through the initial "training" process but otherwise pretty painless.

  • Playbook not connecting to Internet via blackberry bridge

I am the owner of the playbook and love it everything's great. I recommend it to a couple of people and they are having problems.  The biggest one and reason for my cry out today is, I talked my aunt into the blackberry tablet as opposed to the kindle fire, because she is the owner of a blackberry smartphone from AT&T.  I told her how my phone connects through the bridge to get the Internet on the go without wifi, and as soon as I helped her set up her tablet with the new software she can not get the Internet through the blackberry bridge.  When I connect my blackberry smartphone to my play book I can still access the Internet without wifi so I'm  thinking its the update which I haven't done yet mine yet.  Can someone please help me, my aunt is older and depending on me and I have no clue what happened!  Thanks

AT&T require you to pay for their Internet tethering bolt on in order to use the browser etc via bridge.
