Blackberry Calculator

Okay, so maybe this is a little thing for most, but a calculator should be simple right?  in the standard calculator take any number and try to add , lets say 5%. You always get the amount plus .05, not 5% of the amount.  it works like that on my 9700 so maybe it's something that should be fixed on the playbook.
Just a little gripe, so far actually liking the playbook.

playbook_fan wrote:
It is also wrong when you substract and divide using percentage (i.e. 20-25%=19.75  or 20/25%=80)
Actually, in terms of the mathmatical equation you've presented, that (19.75) is a correct answer, since you're subtracting 25/100s from 20, the answer is 19.75. Likewise, the same is true of the intial post above, where 100+15% is actually stating 100 plus 15/100s would equal 100.15
Regardless, the result of the same equation on the Playbook and on the Storm2 is not identical, and RIM has been notified of the discrepency.

  • Depth-of-Field Calculator for Blackberry??

Hi all.  I've tried Googling this but I'm not getting hits.  I'm looking for a DoF calculator with Hyperfocal distance for my BBerry Pearl.  They make'em for Windows Mobile devices and Palm OS.  I can't believe I'm the only photographer using BBerry who wants this little program!  DOFMaster for BBerry would be awesome.  ANYBODY out there have a lead for me?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
Also try to install it with Windows 7 compatible mode for test.
If the issue persist, try to create another administrator account and logon to install again.
Furthermore, you’d better keep contact with BlackBerry support for further help.

  • Can't upgrade or clean install new Blackberry Link in Win 8 32 bit system

    Hi Helpers,
I cant install the New BB Link version on my system - (the previous version ran perfectly).
Whether I try to update or clean install (old version now uninstalled). I get a pane saying that Microsoft visual C ++ 2008 Sp1 redistributable - W8  needs to be installed first.
The process starts that install - but alwayys fails.  After that the BB Link install just closes.
I can't seem to attach any screenshots (be helpful to be able to 'navigate' to them rather than type in a path).  But I havepasted below the full txt contained in the 'windows installer' pane that appears when the install fails.
Can anyone suggest any way to correct this problem please?  Btw, the new BB Link installs perfectly onto Windows 7.
Thanks in anticipation.  (On trying to post, I was informed that some invalid HTML has been removed - presumably that was in the 'paste' but I've no idea what it was or whether it affects anything, sorry).
    Regards, gil69.

  • Unwanted automatic date calculation

I have an entity object that has a date type of field in it. I have created a view object and an application module based on it. when i test the application module, if i put a date such as 2000-10-61 (default format of yyyy-mm-dd), then instead of giving an error, the extra days are simply rolled over into the next month, and a new date is calculated and stored (2000-10-60 becomes approximately 2000-11-30). How can i avoid this?

Thank you for the quick response!  I have never backed up the phone nor restored to factory data reset.  It's a new device.  I've had it for about a month.  I am the only user of this phone.  There are no kids in the house.
I suspect what's happening is that it is very easy to get to the settings page from the front panel, and that if the I put the phone in my pants pocket, it doesn't take much to get into settings mode and from there to the date settings and from there turning off those automatic time/date settings.  I've notice other settings get turned off as well, so it's not just the date and timezone.  If there was some way to make it harder to get to the settings page, that would help a lot.  Maybe if that link were hidden, or just not on the front panel?
The first time this happened I was on a trip to a different time zone.  I set the alarm clock to wake me up for the flight back home, and when did went off it was 32 minutes late.  The next time it happened I had set an alarm clock for a morning business meeting and it got me there an hour early.  And then it happened again this week but now I check the time every night, so I caught it.
I was using a blackberry for years before this phone, and they made the settings pages well hidden.  So I was hoping there was a way they could be hidden better on this phone.

  • New Apple Mavericks and Blackberry Sysn

    Hi,
I noticed that after upgrading to Mavericks Apple's sync services (iSync etc.) are no longer there. Trying to reinstal Isyn also failed. Apple support confirmed that and could not offer any workaround.
In other words - Blackbery App in general works but Syn no longer possible?!
    Any Ideas?

Apple switched SyncService off and forces people to use iCloud.
