hmmmm. you've got rather a lot of burning software entries in there. (it looks like you've got some kind of Roxio product installed, as well as itunes and Alcohol 120%.)
by way of experiment, try the technique described in the following document (remember to take a backup of your device filter registry keys first).

do you still get the itunes message with just the iTunes filters in place?

  • Upgraded Blackberry Desktop software and now it will not accept my device password. What's happened?

I've upgraded the software on my desktop and connected my Bold 9700 to my computer.  It asked me for my device password but it's not accepting it.  I'm up to 8/10 tries and I know I'll have issues if I keep trying.  I've disconnected my bb but it is still wanting a password and not accepting it.
Also the password field on my bb is showing me the characters I'm typing in as opposed to astericks.
I don't know what is happening and I don't want to lose all my data.  Help!

Plugged in my phone to the computer for the first time.  I've fallen at the first hurdle.  Device password is requested.  I've tried the Blackberry ID User Name, my password, and the pin no.  None of these work.  What is meant by the device password, please?

It should be the same password that you enter when you turn your phone ON or unlock the keys.

  • Blackberry Desktop software 6 - Deleting previously connected devices

In blackberry desktop software 6, when you click on the device menu, it lists all prevously connected devices.
Yesterday someone connected their device to my computer.
How can i delete that device listing from the list.

I found that the folder "My Documents\BlackBerry\Backup" contains the backup files in the format: name_of_device_in_bb_desktop.pid.
I just deleted the one file that I did not need.

  • What's the username & password when i connect device from cisco network assistant

what's the username & password when i connect device from cisco network assistant?
    http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa273/wallfire02/Capture_zpsa8f5fd2b.jpg

    Although that may be true...
If I click the "Connect As..." button it asks for a username and password.
I've experienced connecting to other user's computers on a network.  To gain access to their computer, I just use their username and password.  I've done this before to transfer files without using a flash drive or burned disk.
I'm trying to find out what I'm supposed to log on as to gain access to this device...
My point is that yes, I'm connected to it by wifi.  Otherwise it wouldn't show up; ha-ha!
Is my point really that hard to grasp?

  • Device password

I installed the Blackberry desktop manager for a new phone. When I attach the phone, a small window opens asking for the device password. It does not recognize my password and will not allow the desktop manager to open. I unlocked the phone using the password with no problem. However, even with the device unlocked, I get the same message and no recognition of the password. Any advice?

Benn, your password is not what you think it is.
This is common for users who might have some numbers or UPPER case characters in their password, you might think your pressing the ALT key for a second number, but your're not.
For example, if you think your password is '1234', you press ALT + 1234, and the password could really be '1ers'. Look at your device keyboard and see what I mean.
If you can figure that out, you'll be good to go.
If you can't, go reset your password on the device to something very simple all lower case letters for now, like tgfr' and then connect to the DM ok.
But your mistake is a common one for people who never plug their device into the Desktop, and all of sudden the password doesn't work.

  • Bold 9790 device password

Pls I need some help. To my surprise I BELIVE my touchscreen have changed my device password;( I'm now on my 10/10 attempt of entering in my phone. when I took the phone out of my bag,it was already on attempt 6/10 where it asked me to enter blackberry,,,,and I did,as I dint understand what was wrong..now I will not try the 10 one,as I understand my failure will leed to erasing all data (contacts, messages etc) is there anything I can do to avoid this happening? I tried to connect to my computer, and thought it might be some help,,,,but No ,there is nothing. Can I send my phone for some unlocking service? I really need my data that I have stored in the phone,I'm devastated pls anyone? I'm based in Milano Italy, and I'm willing to send my phone for service somewhere here in Europe,if it means I will not lose my data...TYI

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
There is nothing to be done...only the password that was created can be used to unlock your BB. BBs remain the most secure devices on the market, and so there are no services (well, perhaps no legal services) to bypass that (especially on the last try available).
The thing to do is let it fail the 10th time...and take the lesson. The device is a mere commodity...the data it contains is priceless. Hence, the various free methods provided to take backups of your data, and hence protect it from exactly this situation (and others). But, the time to take backups is before they are needed...not after.
    Good luck!

  • Website device password

    Hi,
I've been trying to download apps for my playbook from the Blackberry website via the usb cable plugged into my pc (I have no wi-fi connection). Unfortunately the website keeps asking me for the device password and then refusing to recognise it as the correct one. it kept asking me for the password even when one wasn't set. The Blackberry Desktop software does recognise the password.
    Am I doing something wrong?

Have you went to Settings>Store and signed out of the account and then signed back in?

  • How to reset if device password locked?

Device password has locked for no reason, so have to reset and start again, but how do you reset if you cannot get into 'setting's without passing password stage??

    Sooo.
Blackberry is lost on this one. So was I. And i kind of freaked out, when I found the solution. Look at the picture (sorry, only selfsigned https). Look closely. Closer.
    Found it?
My Q10 was locked in a loop of 6/10 attempts. I had noticed that on the connected PC there was a warning with only 5 tries at all, not 10. I thought I caught a naughty bug.
Then I read the image. I did not just look, I read.
    Still not found?
Enter "blackberry" at attempt 6/10, then your password afterwards. Yet I have no idea, why they did this. But now I can happily use my Q10 again.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to change default software in Blackberry Connect 4.0 for opening attachments

I have downloaded and installed Adobe Reader LE 2.5 to a Nokia E51 running Blackberry Connect 4.0 to overcome an issue with Adobe attachments not displaying files correctly.
When opening Adobe attachments in Blackberry Connect 4.0 it uses Adobe Reader LE 1.5 not the later version.
I can open Adobe files resident on the phone and card memory using Adobe reader 2.5 OK.
I am unable to save attachments from Blackberry Connect 4.0 to the phone or card memory to be able to use v2.5
Is there a way to change the default attachment software Blackberry Connect 4.0 uses on the Nokia handset?
Quick Office Support advised is a Blackberry Connect 4.0 Issue.

The current version supports only 'push pull' email and calendar services. It effectively works using an older BES server functionality. As I understand it, the 4.0 version supports the BES 4.0 feature set. This should allow for full synchronisation of email, contacts, and calendar / to-do items. It apparently also supports the latest admin features such as enabling the device over the air (rather than using the desktop client for this).
While the current version is certainly better than nothing, having the full BES 4.0 feature set would be a huge step forward in my opinion.

  • Transfer old blackberry device data to new BlackBerry 10 device, without old blackberry device

    Hello,
I recently bought a new BlackBerry Q10, I had a BlackBerry Bold 9790 running on OS 7 before this and I had backed it up from BlackBerry Desktop Software. I had no knowledge that BlackBerry 10 devices don't work with BlackBerry Desktop Software, so I sold my Bold 9790 and then bought a Q10. I need to recover all the data of my old Bold 9790 to my Q10, but sadly Q10 doesn't work with BlackBerry Desktop Software. If I download BlackBerry Link it will ask me to connect my old device to transfer files.
So basically I need to transfer the backup file of my old phone to the new phone.
    Please help me out. Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

First, the device has been out for over a year and a half.  BlackBerry has put the information out there.  I easily found the information below with a quick Google search that brought up this article, KB33322
While it hasn't yet been updated to reflect the latest update to Link, I made a few minor changes to the instructions to get to the same options in the new version of Link.
Media Files saved on the device internal memory will be transferred if you check the box for "Media files saved on internal memory."  Media files saved under Content Store on the old device will not.
    Here are the instructions:
Connect the BlackBerry 10 smartphone to the computer using the USB cable.
At the left side of the BlackBerry Link screen, click name of the BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
Select Restore Device > Legacy Device Backup Files.
    Select the desired backup file.
Select the data to restore to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone. To restore all supported data, select the Restore all data check box.  To choose the data to restore select Custom Restore.
Note: For a description of the BlackBerry smartphone databases, refer to KB03974.
    Click Restore.
