Blackberry Curve 8530 Stuck on White Screen

Hello there,
I need help!
My Blackberry Curve 8530 is stuck on a white screen with battery image in the middle of the screen with a red line accross it. The BB was  working fine, but for some reason froze up, and it wouldn't respond to anything, so I took the battery out and put it back in and since then the phone is stuck on the white screen with the ddescription described above.
Just to let you know I have dwonloaded the sofware and installation loader from my carrier. I connected my BB to my PC via USB cable- the PC rocognized the device at first and istalled the drivers, but when I run the application loader it says that the BB is not connected and I have the option to connected and retry it---I did, I disconnected the USB and re-connected, tried it again, but I keep geeting the same thing. Not sure what to do next-
Can someone help me with this issue?
I appreciate any help in advance.
Thanks!

Okay, my Curve is stuck on a white screen. I've taken the battery out and put it back in, but that didn't work. Also, it connects to the Desktop Manager as if nothing is wrong. I can't turn it off manually either. Any help please???

  • Blackberry Curve 8530 Stuck on the Reboot Loading Page

Help!  I turned off my blackberry this morning and then removed the battery, replaced the battery and the phone began to reboot.  It has been stuck on the screen that says BlackBerry with the loading bar at the bottom about 3/4 of the way loaded for about 45 minutes.  I tried rebooting it a few times at first but it kept stopping at the same point in the loading bar, about 3/4 of the way.  What should I do??

I am having the same problem and am at a loss as to what is causing the problem and how to fix it.
This is my 5th BB Curve 8530 replacement and it has not been a year, have been having this problem and Boost Mobile or Sprint/Nextel cannot explain why, they just keep sending the same phone and the same problem happens time and time again. I am so frustrated, I am thinking of getting something other than Blackberry I cannot see myself paying $250.00 for the same phone and going this experience again.

  • Blackberry Curve 9360 stuck on loading screen

So this Curve is very very new, as I just got it yesterday, but it seems to be stuck on the Blackberry loading screen, followed by the red LED light.  The phone was in perfect working order until I updated the Blackberry App World, a fairly large download (~1k KB).  If someone could help me sort out this problem I would appreciate it
    Cheers,

  • Blackberry Curve 9380 stuck on Platform screen

Two days ago my Blackberry 9380 randomly turned itself off and went the Blackberry loading screen and kept loading only until three quaters of the way, then stopping. I took the battery out three times and each time it did that, then it loaded and went to the 'Blackberry Platform 9.32.0.51' screen and has been there since. When I click any of my apps it says 'Error starting net_rim_bb_file_explorer:' Could you help fix this problem? Thanks.

Try starting the device in Safe Mode.

  • Blackberry curve 8520 stuck at a screen after boot

The Blackberry is stuck at origial Blackberry smartphone screen

after updating BBM. i rebooted as required. A few hours later i noticed the spinning circle thing that means the phone is busy was visible, and the "secure connection" message came on screen, usually associated with a Wi-fi connection, even though the wifi was turned off on connection manager. As all this was freezing the phone or slowing it down from regular use (i.e: texting and calling) i did a battery pull. After the boot finished on the black blackberry scren i got the screen for my service provider (O2). This is usually followed by the "verifying security software" screen followed by SIM Pin entry but it did not go there. Have done several battery pulls since, tried booting whilst connected to BB Desktop, try using the 'AppLoader' option as instructed ("c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm) zand left the phone for 5 HOURs which it appeared to have frozen on the 1st stage on laptop. after accidently disconnecting device  from laptop, the AppLoader continued before saying all updates on the device were succesful. Tried to reboot. Same original problem. Stuck on service provider screen before verifying security software and asking for SIM Pin.
Clearly this is a RIM issue with an app update AGAIN and my phone appears to be **bleep**ED! Not for the 1st time. it only occurs when its a BLACKBERRY APPLICATION, not other app providers, such as facebook or whatsapp for example. Basically Im sick of this phone, Always freezing, not booting, or doing stuff in the background that affect NORMAL OPERATION like making calls! (What if there was an emergency for example? I cant do a 999/112 call cuz my stupid "smartphone" is stuck doing something i dont need it to or not even switching on! Yea thanks RIM/Blackberry or whoever you **bleep**ing are! PS: clearly  I AM **bleep**!

  • Blackberry Curve 8520 stuck on reboot screen

This morning I updated two apps via BB App World, which then prompted me for a reboot when they were installed. I said yes and it began rebooting, but the bar got stuck at 2/3 full.  I pulled the battery and tried again, and the same thing happened. I left it for about an hour but there was no change. I borrowed a USB cable from a friend with the same model phone as me, reinstalled Blackberry Desktop Software (this is a new laptop), and plugged my phone in with the intention of firstly backing up my data and then reloading the software.
I tried with the battery in first, but the pop-up told me that it couldn't communicate with the phone as it was still rebooting or the battery is dead, etc., and there was no point me clicking 'retry' because the phone wasn't going to ever finish rebooting, so I removed the battery and retried, and got as far as entering my password.  I hit the update button, it starts checking for Device Software updates, but it tells me that there was an error and that I should make sure the phone has completed any start-up operations...which it can't do. At this point there's a battery symbol on my phone screen with a red cross over it.
I've also tried starting my phone in safe mode with the intention of just removing both of the apps I updated this morning, as I assume the problem is with one of them, but my phone won't actually start in safe mode. I have no idea what to do at this point! Please help.

The Research In Motion folder wasn't in Common Files but was in Program Files (x86),  but there isn't a subfolder called AppLoader, or a program called loader.exe!
    Here's what I can see.
And then these are the subfolders.
I've done a search for the program and it isn't in any of the folders.

  • My BlackBerry Curve 8530 Phone does not show the home screen?

On my BlackBerry Curve 8530 Phone, I deleted an app that I did not want anymore, but when I tried to reboot the phone a few times, the screen comes up as ''App Error 200'' when it is down rebooting. What do I do? And if I have to get a new battery for my phone, where do I get one, and how much does it cost?

If the screen wont show at all, it looks like your screen has went out on the phone. Take the phone to your local service provider like sprint or at&T. These shops usually have repair guys who can try and fix it. If they cant fix it, they will have to replace the phone.
Once screens and keyboards go out on these phones (i have had a keyboard go out) they are worthless and they need to be replaced.
Unfortunately a wipe would do nothing if you cant even see the screen.

My blackberry curve 8530 shut off and now it doesn't want to completely turn on it stays loading.

    Hello !
    Try the following.
Just pull out the battery and reinsert it again for the POWER restart.
Once it reaches to the loading screen, just connect your device to the charger and keep it idol for 2-3hours.
At times BlackBerry Curve 8520 takes longer time then the usual for rebooting.
    Hope this resolves your Problem!

  • Blackberry Curve 8530 text issues, please help!

I have a problem opening some texts on my blackberry curve 8530, most of the texts i get are threaded and i can read them fine. When I get texts from certain people and i open it, its just black and i cannot see any text so I have to forward the text to my phone to see what the person has texted me.  Then i have to delete the text i forwarded to myself otherwise it wont work the next time i send another fwd text to myself to see what they said. It happens consistently with the same people in my contact list.  Most people are fine, but theres a few people i text that this happens with and it happens every time they text me. Ive looked through settings and I have no idea how to fix this or how to change it. Its getting really old to have to fwd the texts people send me back to my phone to read them every time they text  me. Can anybody please help me????? It would be much appreciated.  Please please help me with this or explain to me whats going on with it.  I have no other problems with my phone other than my screen freezing up every once in a while.
    Thanks so much!
    Diana

Diana, the first thing I would suggest before doing something more invasive like a device wipe and restore is a simple reboot:  With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
    See if the issue perists.

  • My Blackberry Curve 8530 keeps shutting down

WHy does my BB Curve 8530 keep shutting down every half hour or so? And of course, it takes 9 minutes for it to restart so I am missing calls and texts many times a day. Is it a software thing that can be fixed? I am not upgradeable for another 7 months, so I'm stuck with this phone! Help?

    Hi rowinchrist,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
To rule out any possible software issue that may be causing your BlackBerry® Curve™ 8530 smartphone to shut down, please try to back up your data using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software and perform a clean reload of your BlackBerry® Device Software.
For further instructions, please see the following KB articles.
For Windows®: "How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows" http://bbry.lv/GI9beY
For Mac: "Perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer" http://bbry.lv/J0UN1U
Please test to make sure the issue has been resolved before restoring any data from your backup file.
    Thanks.

After all, I tried to erase and install system several times, but after language section when I click agree to terms and conditions, mac freeze again.

    HI,
*"I have opened disk utility top repair disk, but when I click on disc image, repair / verify disk buttons are unavailable to click and S.M.A.R.T status is not supported."*
You need to select "MacintoshHD 10.5.8 not "disc image" in order to run Disk Utility and Verify and if necessary, Repair the disk.
That's why you are seeing this dialog.
*are unavailable to click and S.M.A.R.T status is not supported.*
Also, run the Apple Hardware Test.

  • HT1338 i cant get in to os system. the screen just stuck in white screen and apple logo

i can not get in to my os system. the screen just stuck in white screen and apple logo

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a boot failure is to secure your data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since your last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
         a. Boot into the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
    b. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    c. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to boot, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can boot now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
If you've booted from an external storage device, make sure that your internal boot volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
    Step 3
Boot in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you boot in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, your boot volume is damaged and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to step 5.
If you can boot and log in now, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the boot process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 4
Sometimes a boot failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 5
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select your startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then reboot as usual.
    Step 6
Reinstall the OS. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 7
Repeat step 6, but this time erase the boot volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer your data from a backup.
    Step 8
A dead logic-board battery in a Mac Pro can cause a gray screen at boot. Typically the boot failure will be preceded by loss of the startup disk and system clock settings. See the user manual for replacement instructions.
    Step 9
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.
