Blackberry Curve 9360 Please Help..

I've had my curve under 3 months and last night it started freezing then rebooting, it done this over and over on a loop.. In the morning I tried reinstalling the software and also restoring the phone to factory settings both through the blackberry desktop software, when I now turn on my phone the intro message comes up which asks for you to accept the terms, but now it wont let me scroll down to accept, although the click on my scroller works.. Any idea's on what is wrong and how I can fix it ? Thank you

It sounds like something may be wrong with the trackpad. Since you've had the device for such a short period of time I would contact your carrier for a warranty replacement.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Give it a little time to resyncronize all your contacts, etc. Also reboot the device by removing the battery. The older versions are not made available.

I just got a Blackberry Curve 8350i and I'm trying to figure out how to stop sending the text message I'm replying to with my reply. If anyone could tell me how to fix this I'd greatly appreciate it.

    You aren't, actually.
The initial messsage is ONLY there for your reference, it is not sending.
If you don't want to see it at all, on your BB, go to Options > SMS and Number of previous Items = 0.

  • Blackberry curve 8520, please help!

Took my blackberry back to shop, have had it 6 months, First it kept loosing it's charge, then the speaker went, couldn't hear properly, then to end it all the scroll wouldn't work all the time. They sent it off 4 a repair then got told it's unrepairable due to water damage which it has not got wet  to my knowlegde, ( is there any way of telling if it's water damaged), they are also saying there is damage to inside of the phone (a dent) by the memory card slot which i can't see unless taken apart. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to take it apart and is easy to put back ok or would they be able to tell i've done this before i take it back again due to me being unsatisfied. I haven't got insurance due to not being asked when i purchased the phone 4 my daughter 4 christmas. I'm new to buying this type of phone, give me the basic ones any day.

    Hi Olistreet,
Battery pull Restart is recommended for software and also hardware as an first step to sort out any issue but if it fails then you can jump to other conclusions. as you said you heard a sound so please check your profile managment to make sure vibration mode is not on.

  • Blackberry Curve 9360: How to fully turn off?

I have recently got a Blackberry Curve 9360 running on O2 UK and the latest update of OS 7 and love it, but want to turn it off over night without setting times for it to turn off and on. I have looked at many posts on forums and want to fully turn it off, as when i click the 'power off' icon or hold down the end key, it just goes into standby. when i set an alarm, it gives me the option to 'turn off' or 'full power off' but they both do the same thing. a battery pull does NOT work as it just turns on again straight away. Help me please!
    thanks,

Ok, I've read what you said.
If you press and HOLD the "end call" key, far right of the trackpad, hold it for about 5-6 seconds, you should get TWO choices, power off and Full power off.

I've tried safe mode but it doesn't let me select the 'OK' option, I downloaded the bb desktop software where it can find my phone but down the bottom right corner it just says connecting, would really appreciate the help

There are two methods of recovery for you to try:
    One:
Open Blackberry Desktop Software & Connect your device with PC using USB cable, without inserting battery.
You will get three option Retry, Update Or Cancel, then click on update.
Once it is to the stage of the update "initializing handheld", then insert battery.
If this does not work, and you remain stuck on the backing up the Social Feeds database, go to the second method below.
    Secondly:
Start your BlackBerry in Safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Modehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow your handheld to connect. If you are prompted to upgrade, cancel the upgrade for later.
IF you cannot connect or your Desktop Software does not recognize your device while in Safe Mode, please follow the directions here to force the detect:  Article ID: KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
Go to Device > delete > SELECT DATA > select to delete both the Social Feeds and Smart Card databases, and follow the remaining prompts to complete it.
Now, you can return and click to upgrade the device through the Desktop Manager, or reboot the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue the over the air upgrade.

  • Can't connect my blackberry curve 9360 to my internet home router

hey everyone, so I have a blackberry curve 9360 and I wanted to connect my blackberry to my home router while I'm at home, but away from the computer, so I did this:
    -I went to Manage Connections
    -I went to Wi-Fi Network
-My network at home, which is my saved network, shows up and I click on it
-instead of asking for a passcode even though it shows that my home internet is locked, it immediately starts trying to connect to my internet, and then says "Failed to authenticate against the network"
Since this happens ALL THE TIME, I went to "other ways to connect", then "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" and I see that the two options are "Press button on router" or "Enter PIN into router."
So I clicked the first choice and it tells me to press the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on my wireless router or its administration screen. That will probably get my internet working on my Blackberry, but I have no idea what this is asking
    Someone please help meee!

    1. Delete the saved home WiFi network from your BlackBerry saved WiFi profiles.
    2. Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
    3. Reboot your WiFi router (unplug the incoming internet cable and the power input for a minute, reinsert both and let it the router restart.
    4. On your BlackBerry, return the WiFi setup and select your home router name when it sees it. If you asked again for the "Press button on router" or "Enter PIN into router." methods, click your escape key once and you should go back to be able enter the password for your router.
    good luck.

If i transfer any PDF file from my Pc to my Blackberry phone 9360 can it be opened???

    Hi anandkulthia,
    Welcome to the Support Community!
PDF files can be viewed as attachments on your BlackBerry® Curve™ 9360 smartphone but native PDF file viewing is unsupported. You may be able to find a 3rd party PDF viewer application in BlackBerry App World™ storefront that might help with this. http://bbry.lv/bM0QK5

  • Need help with a Blackberry Curve 9300, please...

Hello, everyone, I had a look around the forum and came across a post which offered advice one what to include in questions, so I have tried to include the info below.
    Device info
Your carrier: Unlocked (was using Virgin)
Model info and OS version (Go to Settings, then Options, then about): Blackberry Curve 9300, OS 6
    Apps and free space
File free before and after a battery remove/replace. (Go to Settings, then Options, then status): 60%
Did a battery pull fix your issue? No
Apps installed and their version if possible.   (Go to Settings, then Options, then applications): None, only the ones that come with it after reset to factory
BT device model/version (you will have to look at the BT device): Don't know what this means
    When writing your question
Any other details that would help us out with your issue: This was my teenage brother's phone, which since has been given to me. The phone was severely mistreated; thrown around, stepped on and chewed. The battery had to be replaced as well as the middle chassis and the front and back cases along with the keyboard, bottom clip and screen.
Good description of what is really wrong and how to reproduce if possible. Details of what you did before: I managed to get it working after I had replaced everything listed above, but it will not charge using the cable. I have to keep taking the battery out and plugging it in seperately to charge, then putting back in the phone. This is after replacing the cable as my brother broke that too, so it's not the cable. He's damaged the data/ charge port.
The camera will not work, but at the moment I am not looking for a solution for that. The error is: "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again". No applications are open and the OS has just been updated to the most recent version. For this reason, I think he's managed to break that too and it would need to be replaced if that's possible.
My issue at the moment... My mother, as you can imagine is furious with him for trashing the phone she bought him at about £250 when it was new a couple of years ago. So, as I have managed to get it to turn on and pick up wi-fi, she has said I can keep it. I am on Virgin Mobile and this phone is unlocked. It will not pick up any network even using my Virgin SIM card which works fine. My brother was also using it on Virgin.
I can use it with wi-fi and have already contacted t-mobile and Virgin Mobile to make there there's no problem with them. There isn't. The number has been put under my ownership and the phone registered to me now. It is not blocked or blacklisted, yet, only comes up with SOS for network.
Because of this, they and the local phone shop think he might have damaged the antenna inside. I am an iPhone user, this is the first time I have used a Blackberry, so I have no idea - can the antenna be repaired by myself?
Or, given that the camera doesn't work either/ needs replacing, would it just be better to get a replacement using my contents insurance? I am unsure which would be cheaper, to get the parts and try and fix it myself, or pay the excess for the insurance.
    Advice appreciated... Thanks in advance.

    Hey MaggzieP,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
This KB article will determine if it is a software or hardware related issue for the camera: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15544
Also if you tried more than 1 SIM card in the BlackBerry Curve 9300 smartphone and it still shows SOS, this could be hardware related as well.
For all repairs, I can only suggest checking with the point of sale or network service provider for further options.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.
    -ViciousFerret
