Blackberry Curve - Cannot call from phonebook

Hi,
I have a Blackberry Curve which connects to my Outlook Contact list. However, I am unable to call directly from my phone book when there is a (0) in brackets as it tells me it's "disconnected" or "wrong number" 
Annoyingly, Outlook seems to insert the (0) automatically so everytrime i call i have to edit the number before dialling.
Can anyone help me fix this please.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Given what you describe, you need to contact your mobile service provider for formal support...it is their voice network that your BB is not connecting to, and they need to help you ("behind the scenes") to diagnose what is going on.

    Do you see anything shw up on the debugs on the branch router?
    Check debug h225 asn1 to see if there is a setup coming from the CUCM. If not, that means the CUCM is not receiving the IP address of the branch gateway from the GK. This could mean a config issue on the GK with respect to the branch gateways, or on the UCM.
    Take debug gatekeeper main 10 from the gatekeeper. These debugs will show what's happening on the GK while processing the incoming ARQ from CUCM.
    Also please upload the config of the GK, branch gateway here.

  • E65 - cannot call from address book

    I'm mostly happy with my E65 (ie, no random reboots), but I'm having a problem that no one else seems to have complained about:
    Sometimes, generally when the battery is at about half full or less, I cannot call people from the address book. Clicking the 'send' button (the green one) or going "options->call->voice call" will do nothing.
    Rebooting fixes this, but sometimes not for long.
    Has anyone else suffered from this?
    btw, how do I check what version of the firmware I have?

    I have the same problem with the e65 (my phone uses the same firmware version as yours). I bought this phone in India from a Nokia Priority Dealer, and neither they nor Nokia customer support were of any help (except advising me to turn in the phone to the service center for a week for testing). Used to happen about once a day, without any observable pattern leading upto it.
    After a few resets and reinstalls, I think I've stumbled upon a partial solution. I had initially installed all apps to the memory card and now I have them installed onto phone memory. The data - images, ebooks, music - is still on the memory card. However, this problem isn't caused by a bad memory card - I've faced this with the Nokia supplied 256MB memory card as well as with a Transcend 2GB memory card.
    I did this about a month ago, and the phone has only had this problem once since then. You might want to try this. Please let us know if it worked for you too.

    Make sure you've followed the instructions in this support article. Note that both iCloud and FaceTime on the Mac must be signed in to the same Apple ID; those are two separate steps. Also note that the Mac and the phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Ethernet won't work. Trying to pair the phone to the Mac as a Bluetooth device won't work either.
    If cellular calling still doesn't work, sign out of iCloud and FaceTime and sign back in. You may have to do the same on the phone.

  • After 2,1 update cannot call from 3G

    The long waited 2.1 is good for nothing, contrary is worst than before:
    - I try to call from my contact, start dialing and in a second call end. On E work fine.
    - Contact still lagging
    - Reception and voice quality same bag quality.
    And probably more issues will surface.
    How can I downgrade to 2.0.
    Very disappointed.
    Now the rumor is a reality: THE PROCESSOR IS NOT CAPABLE TO HANDLE THE PHONE.
    A RECALL IS IMMINENT.

    I thought I was having the same problem but I think it's a problem with the speaker in the earpiece.
    If I make a call with the speaker phone, everything is good. I also notice when I adjust the volume it says "ringer (headphones)". Am I missing something?

  • My blackberry curve cannot on

    To attemtp to get your BlackBerry® smartphone to boot up, plug it into the AC adapter, remove and re-insert the battery then hold the red phone button down for 15 seconds.

  • Unable to unlock blackberry curve 3g 9300 with the unlock code

    I have the same problem and could not unlock my blackberry curve 3g 9300 from Canada's wind network.
    I have called my network provider twice and obtained the unlock code. I also called back to reconfirm the unlock code.
    However each time I tried to unlock my blackberry curve 3g 9300 with the unlock code ,it refuses to unlock.

    After the ten attempts have been used, you must get RIM to unlock the device.
    There are two routes, and only two, to achieve this.
    * IF your device is in warranty, contact your service provider technical support. Tell them you have this issue which needs to be escalated to RIM level customer support. I'll warn you that most carrier technical support people will first assume and think you are referring to a device security unlock, and you will need to convince them otherwise and explain clearly what you need. THEY will not be able to help you because the carriers themselves cannot unlock a device which has had the MEP code attempts depleted, and should (and you will need to ask) to have the case escalated to RIM level tech support.
    * If your device is out of warranty, contact RIM direct. See the Contact Us information from the website: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ The options you want to select to speak to BlackBerry Customer Care are 3 (for inquiries, orders, billing, e-RMA etc) then 5 (e-RMA and Out of Warranty).

    Hey guys, i need help please. I have a blackberry curve 3g phone from o2 in uk. But now i have gone back home to asia and lost it here. My phone had no sim card on it and u need to unlock the phone to use it.  Is is possible to block the phone permanently? will my contents in the phone be deleted??? please help... thanks a lot

    I'm not really sure coz I've never been to Brunei, like here in the Philippines there are markets/ shops were a person can go and have the phone's password cracked? they can actually get in to the phone, cancel or delete passwords and change or upgrade the OS.. accessing your email ?.. hmmm that Im not sure of but I think they cannot since cracking the phones server also deletes all information, media (i.e pictures, music and such)

  • Not satisfied with Blackberry Curve 2G - 8520

    I purchased Blackberry Curve 2G - 8520 from Advent in Gurgaon on 21st Apr 2011. However after a few months the back button stopped working.There were also other issues like Bluetooth not working, phone hanging or sudden shut down.
    I sent my BB to the BB service center in Gurgaon which took 8-10 days to return the handset with most of the issues unresolved.
    i was told that the software issues were resolved, but they still persist. More importantly, reg the hardware issue I was told that  I would have to pay 80% of the phoen cost to get the back button repaired. Why should i pay this money as it wasn;t my fault that the features stopped working.
    Plus now the BB logo behind the hanset, has started wearing out (the silver stick-ons) .
    Can someone pl look into the matter & resolve it?Ideally the handset should have been replaired or replaced as it still in in warranty period. But right now, I'm suffering for buying a BB. I'm really disappointed at the services levels of BB. Can someone pl get this issue resolved & make my phone function properly??

    Since I don't have any definitive confirmation from Apple or BlackBerry on whether Mountain Lion will fix this or not, I simply deleted iCloud from my Mac and now everything syncs properly.
