Blackberry email reply headers

Hi,
I am working on an use case where in an email reply from blackberry user should be captured and processed.
My systems sends a mail to the blackberry user with proper messageId set in email headers and when the user replies back from blackberry, I do not see any In-reply-to or references headers in the reply email header.
Is there any configuration that needs to be done in order to get this working?
Thanks!

it depends on the outgoing email server inked to the BlackBerry device.

  • Blackberry email does not honor the Reply To field?

I've noticed that my blackberry replys to the FROM and ignores the REPLY TO field. Do you know anything about that?
When I reply to this specific email on my outlook, it responds to the REPLY TO address. If i do the same on my Blackberry, it reply to the FROM address.

    Hi there!
I just ran a test to attempt to replicate this.
    Account 1) Yahoo
    Account 2) Private POP
Send from Account 1 to 2 using Reply-To of Account 2.
    Received on BB.
Initiated Reply -- address for destination was as expected (Account 2)...
So, I'm not able to replicate what you experienced. In which case I would suggest a few remedies:
    1) Register HRT:
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > BBKey (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
    2) Resend Service Books:
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Delete and completely recreate the BIS conduit
Good luck and let us know!

  • Reply to my work email using my blackberry email?

Hello, new to BB here and somewhat technologically challenged...  For whatever reason my Pearl 8130 will recieve emails from my work acct. but when I reply or try to send an email it gives me a failed delivery notice.  So I got a blackberry email and was wondering if it is possible to reply to my work emails using the bb email but without people replying to the bb email?  Did that question make any sense at all?
Also, was wondering how to make my Outlook and my organizer on my bb sync?  When I loaded the software and tried to configure that, Outlook was not an option?  Again, technologically challenged here....

    Hi...
Little question. I also had the option "Reply-to" at my previous telecom provider. Since our change to a new provider and upgrade of new BIS software... the new provider say that they don't have rights on the Reply-to anymore... So, this cannot be changed anymore. Is this actualy true, or is it policy of my new provider?
Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Interesting! I've not heard of anyone restricting access to the Reply-To field in BIS. So, just to be sure, are you logging into, via a PC and web browser, the BIS site of the new provider? And, on the "General Settings" tab of the configured account, there is no "Reply to:" field at all? Or is the field visible but just grayed out and inaccessible? And, via your BB BIS interface, you get the same result?
And, when you switched providers, did they switch your BIS conduits over? Or were they deleted on the old providers BIS site and you had to then create them brand new on the new providers BIS site?
    This is curious indeed!

  • How Do You Use Your Blackberry--Email

    Hi, all,
Being a Blackberry aficionado, I find all of the different things your Blackberry can do for you amazing.  One of the best features of all Blackberry devices is email.  With your email pushed directly to your device, you don't have to be near your computer to send and recieve email.  With the Blackberry, you can add up to 11 email addresses, including 10 supported email accounts and one BlackBerry email account that comes with your device.
My question to you is this:  How many email accounts do you have on your Blackberry device?
I will start by telling you that I have 6 email accounts on my device.
    Thanks for sharing...
    Doc

Hi - I have 4 at the moment:
BB  (which I don't use, but set up because it comes with.....)
Gmail (which is actually receiving gmail + 4 more linked to the gmail account)
    AOL (personal, family)
Treasurer email for a scout troop
I have my business email funneled through Gmail at the moment, with folders (err, labels) set up to sort it all out for me - if I split the business email off and set it up separately on the BB, I would then get duplicates of all of those. And if I take the business OFF the gmail grab list, I'd have to re-set up all the folders and such . . . and I like the way gmail handles things. The only pitfall is I can't RESPOND to the business emails from the business email address unless it is set up on the device - any reply I make comes from Gmail.
Any of you BB gurus have a workaround to keep my business email funneled through gmail , yet be able to reply to emails on the BB with the business address? Within gmail, you can choose which of the linked emails you want it to send from, but I haven't been able to manage that from the BB.

  • Blackberry Redirector - Reply error (Service Blocked)

    Hi All,
My company is using BES but I don't have right to access using my own Blackberry.  Therefore I want to use Blackberry Redirector to redirect the email to my own Blackberry and reply email.  But I have a problem when using Blackberry Redirector to reply email.
My detail is shown as follow
    I am using BIS only
I am using BB Bold 9000
install Blackberry Desktop Manager then Blackberry Redirector
After installation, my BB can receive email and calender.
    email:
when I sent from my laptop outlook, it can also be updated in my BB
when I receive email, it can also be pushed in my BB (but if more than 2k message I cannot receive and cannot request to retrieve more)
calender (strange in this part, as I surf in forum someone said suppose I cannot receive calender using BB redirector):
can be updated when I add or modify a calender in my outlook
cannot update to outlook if i update from my BB
A little bit strange, I can receive my company email even when I switch of my laptop.
But using redirector (I don't sure I am using redirector or not to receive email as I can also receive email when my laptop is off), I cannot reply or forward email and it will shown "Service Blocked" in the send out email.
Does anyone know what can I set in my laptop side?  As I guess the problem is because this is only a single way communication.  My laptop is within my company network and there may have some security issue, therefore it can transfer the message out of the network but outsider (i.e. my Blackberry) cannot communicate from internet to my company internal network.  Should anything I can set to guide a route towards my laptop?
Actually I don't sure what happened inside.  Could anyone give me some hints on it?  Thank you.
    Best regards,
    kenny

    Hello kenny_cheung
If you are getting email when your laptop is off then you
are not using redirector.  Calendar will
not update OTA in either direction if you are using redirector or if you are
using the BlackBerry Internet Service.  The
only way to get OTA calendar is if you are on a BES.
It sounds like you are connected to the company BES.
When you get an email on the device if you scroll up to the
top what does it say for received using?  It should say Desktop Secure if you are on the
    BES.

  • Images in Email Reply Templates

    Hi experts,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to add/embed images into the Email Reply Templates.
We are using email queues in BCM (SP4.1) on its own (no CRM integration) and need to include a company image in the reply email.
If it can't be done in the templates, can it be done directly in the response email?
Have tried copying the image and signatures from an outlook template into the reply email in the CDT, but this has had inconsistent results.
The text is there, but it's hit or miss on the image.
    Best Regards,
    Karl

    Hi Karl,
so you tried the IMG tag and it does not work for you?
    For example
would in CDT view turn out like
Though one potential problem with this is that depending on the receiver's e-mail client it may block auto-download of external images.

  • Code for customer email reply

We need to link a "Click here for info" graphic to an email reply.  Effectively, when user clicks image, he/she is led to their default email client (e.g., gmail) with the To:, Subject: and From: completed.  Can anyone help? We're using Dreamweaver CS4.

Thanks for the help.  Could I use this code in an .html page that I use with - for example - Eudora and send to specific customers?
Are you talking about an html email?
In all honesty, the mailto: link shouldn't really ever be used for two main reasons...
    1. Browser based email clients will do nothing when the link is clicked
    2. Your email address is primed and available for any and all spam harvester bots that happen across it
If you don't mind that your viewers/recipients get the "nothing happened" effect when they click the link or that you may start receiving an inordinate number of discount pharmaceuticals advertisements from seemingly upstanding sites run by a group of down on their luck Nigeria doctors, sure, it will work fine.

  • Setting default for Email Reply text colour

Hello, Can anyone tell me how to change the default colour for my signature and email replies from BLUE to BLACK?Currently, I only see the option to 'format' each individual email reply.  I don't know why the default colour for the text and the signature is BLUE but I would really like to change it to BLACK.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,interloper1969

Don't know how I overlooked this before but the following is the expected result
Composing a new email, black text
Reply or forward to a email, blue text
These cannot be changed so I'll share your feedback internally for future consideration
    Thanks!

I don't want to step on Boomer56's toes, but you've been without a response for six hours so I'll take a shot at it.
If you plug your phone into your PC and open Desktop Manager, you can reload your current OS from there.  First, open Desktop Manager and do a data backup of your phone.  Once that's complete, click Device at the top of DM and Update from the drop-down menu.  You might be told that your phone is up to date.  At the bottom of that box, it'll show Show Other Versions.  Click that and make sure your current version is the one that's checked.  Keep it checked and click Update.  This will re-install your current OS, along with all the bells and whistles it came with.
