Blackberry email setup issues

I have the same problem. I switched from my droid back to my blackberry bold 9650 because my droid broke. I upgraded it to 0S6.  I can't access the email set up. Every time i try i get the little clock on the screen and then nothing. I tried going to manage email accounts and it says to contact wireless provider. The last time i spoke with the verizon rep she walked me through lots of steps, did a battery pull, a soft reset, did a device wipe all of that stuff and it still didnt work. I've tried doing a register now, and that still didn't help. I dont know what else to do, but I basically feel like I'm paying for a smartphone without the functionality of a smartphone. grrrr : (

If you attempted to register but didn't receive a registration confirmation message within 15 minutes or so, even after a battery pull, you will have to call VZW tech support for further troubleshooting. As you know, until it's registered on the BlackBerry network, you won't be able to do anything with your e-mail.

  • Reloading BlackBerry Email Setup Application

    Hi,
I accidentally deleted the Blackberry Email Setup application in my BB Torch 9800. Accordingly, I cannot  setup any email accounts on my BB.

I don't want to step on Boomer56's toes, but you've been without a response for six hours so I'll take a shot at it.
If you plug your phone into your PC and open Desktop Manager, you can reload your current OS from there.  First, open Desktop Manager and do a data backup of your phone.  Once that's complete, click Device at the top of DM and Update from the drop-down menu.  You might be told that your phone is up to date.  At the bottom of that box, it'll show Show Other Versions.  Click that and make sure your current version is the one that's checked.  Keep it checked and click Update.  This will re-install your current OS, along with all the bells and whistles it came with.

  • ICloud OS X email setup issue

Hi need some help with an iCloud email setup issue that doesn’t seem to have been covered by other posts or the Apple help factsheets.
Used my old mac.com Apple ID to set up an iCloud account which now shows as having my iMac as a linked device. To use iCloud Mail was prompted to create a new email address which I could do by turning on Mail in iCloud settings.
I signed into iCloud via my iMac and having deselected default options to use iCloud for Contacts etc arrived at the account page which has the various options on the RHS and my mac.com ID info on the left.
Ticked the Mail option on the RHS was asked to “choose an iCloud email address” underneath the box where you enter the chosen email address was a note saying “you cannot change your email address after creating it”. When I tried to  set up the new iCloud email address got a prompt saying “you cannot change your email address after creating it”.
    Help!

You need to know Comcast's settings for incoming and outgoing server when setting up your OSX Mail app. The info should be somewhere on Comcast's help web page.

  • 8520 Email Setup Issues and App Download Issue

    Hey there
I got my first Blackberry ever yesterday. I've been wanting one for years but I finally got it and I cannot set up my email or download any apps.
Each time I got to setup the email the only option is 'I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server'
But I don't. And I know to download apps you have to download the app world. I did it via the desktop but apparently my phone is compatible?
I'm so confused and I don't know who to ask to help me.
    Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.
    Good luck!

  • Blackberry email setup

One method that has worked wonders in the email setup department is typing www.blackberry.com/integrate in your phone's browser and setting it up from there.
Let us know if that helps you.

  • Blackberry Emails Setup

How do I set up a blackberry email so I can use the blackberry messenger?
someone told me to click on the icon that looks like a letter and globe but i have a different email address setup under that icon..
    thanks!

Try going to the Alltel BIS site here. Click the create a account button. Afterwards you can add your existing email account, afterwards new emails should start coming to the device in 20-30 mins. But you'll get an email on the BlackBerry indicating that it was successfully setup.

  • Corporate email setup issues

Hello - Just upgraded a Razr M to an LG G3 @ Target and while I've been able to get my yahoo, google and comcast emails setup my corporate one won't cooperate.  I've tried the exact settings I had in my Razr M without luck.   Any ideas?  Target was also unable, despite several attempts, to bring my contacts over via the SIM card.  Appreciate any assistance.

    1. go to messages icon >options> general options and set sent items to no
    2. if you get that message, that means there is a BIS account present for this PIN, call your service provider and they will release your PIn and you can create new BIS account and add personal email accounts

  • 9330 Email Setup Issues

I have a friend of mine that just got a Curve 9330 through US Cellular. They have the BB Data plan, we can setup a person email account with the live.com email they have. But when we try to set up a "blackberry.com" phone specific email i keep getting; "Unable to add account. Please check your information and try again". I have tried every combination of user names and passwords i can think of. I am working on my last nerve. It is running OS6. Can anyone help?

I don't know why your email would suddenly stop working but your cell carrier should have a self-serve BIS site from which you can add, delete and edit all email accounts on your BlackBerry phone.
If you can't get the email setup wizard to work, call Optus to gain access to the self-serve BIS site.

  • Blackberry Email Setup won't load correctly

Okay, I have been unable to get mail on my Blackberry Curve 9330 for some time. I have this phone under Verizon. quite awhile back during one of the updates not the last the one I did today or the last one but probably the one before it I'm assuming one of my email setups didn't directly download right causing it to screw up. It has nothing to do with resets on my phone I have tried numerous times resetting it and it doesn't work. Everytime I go into email setup, I go to Setup>Email Accounts>Internet Mail Account and then either it just freezes at the screen, or just goes back to the "Select the feature you want to set up screen" everytime. I have tried going into Service Books to try to send service books but it doesn't give me the option... I am unable to get into my Blackberry Internet Service account because I cannot remember my password - and I have done password restore or whatever and it said it has sent to my phone - but I have got nothing sent to my phone, so I'm wondering if maybe it got sent to one of my old phones? I don't remember or know but I'm really tired of not getting email on my phone so if anyone could help that would be grand!

  • Blackberry email setup where are..

I just got my blacberry and i have added 4 email accounts and one of them is the blackberrry email account  Looks like this "[email protected]"  I have sent messages to this email address and hear my BB chime when the msg comes in but whn i check it says at the top in the blue color strip *No Messages* and its the same for three other email accounts i have set up too. and at the top it shows that i have a yellow envalope that shows i have unanswerd messages but i cant find anyplace to get them WTF where are they at?

The enterprise activation is usually only for individuals who have their devices issued to them by an organization running a BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
You may have to preform a clean wipe at some point but first try doing a hard reset (this KB will give you guidance how to do this), deleting and reintegrating all the emails except the [email protected]  This article will help guide you with removing the accounts and this article will help you reintegrate them.  If that fails, then most likely trying a clean reload of the operating system will have to follow.

  • First Blackberry, Email Setup Problems

    Hi
I took delivery of a BlackBerry 8310 last Thursday and have gone through all the set up processes but am unable to send or receive email. I havent recieved an enterprise server password so I assume that is the problem. I have also tried sending service book to the phone, but nothing happens.
I've ran the desktop redirector a few times, it shows status as "running" with items "pending to device" but again nothing happens
I have recieved the email message below to my laptop along with 3 similar ones
""This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.
    BEGINETP 10
    AyMAAAAAAAAAAw!!
    ENDETP -918399777""
Any help would be greatfully recieved as I've spent 3 days tring to sort it and now I'm getting suicidal !!  Grrrr

  • Email Setup Issues - Is it Yahoo or BTInternet

Up until a couple of weeks ago my btinternet email account worked fine on Mail for Mac. However it no longer will connect so I deleted the account and tried to set up a new one following BT's instructions on their website. However when I go to verify my username & password it comes up with an error message saying "Logging into the Yahoo IMAP server imap.mail.yahoo.com failed".
So I click on continue to see that it wants the incoming mail server to be imap.mail.yahoo.com yet BT's setup instructions say it shoud be mail.btinternet.com and that it should be a POP account. This is what it used to be when it was all working fine. If I change the mail server to what BT says it should be it comes back with another error saying "Logging into the Yahoo POP server mail.btinternet.com failed".
So now I am competely confused and have no idea how to get my email working again. I tried the helpdesk but they were competely useless and just said to use webmail. Well I don't wish to do that so I'm hoping someone here is more knowlegdable than BT's own customer services people.
    Thanks

  • Email Setup Issues Yahoo/Rogers

I just did an update on my Torch 9860. Now I can no longer access my @rogers.com email address.  I've tried setting it up several times using both the Rogers and Yahoo email addresses and each time I get an error stating "Invalid email address or password".  However, both the email and password are correct as entered.  I was able to add 4 other email addresses without problem.  I've also tried this on a Curve and had the exact same issue.  Any idea how to get this problem fixed?

Further to Tanzim's suggestion, try typing www.blackberry.com/integrate from your phone's browser to set up your emails.
