BlackBerry Email

i have a problem with 1 of my 10 email accounts.  it only pushes messages to my curve once every 5/10/15 minutes, sometimes up to 20.
i have exhausted all possibilities...  i have other accounts setup the same way, on the same registrar, same host, and same google mail (google apps for domains).  i even compared dns zone files to make sure it wasn't a setting at the domain level.
i've tried deleting and re-adding the account about 50 times, nothing seems to help.
all of the other accounts push mail to the handheld almost instantaneously.
this is a pretty active email account, i've setup more obscure accounts on the 1st try with blackberry mail, but this on domain always fails on the 1st attempt, and delivery is not getting any faster, no matter what i do.
any suggestions?

i've checked and re-checked things hundreds of times, litterally, and i've had admins from my hosting company tied up for hours comparing dns zone records. we can't find anything out of place. their arguemnt is that the messages are hitting gmail within seconds, and the mail clients within seconds of that.
t-mobile claims that blackberry doesn't guarantee that email delivery will be instantaneous and can take up to 15 minutes. they also claimed that the initial setup failing every time means nothing and that it will eventually get faster and setup WILL be automatic. i'm not seeing any change though, over 3 weeks now... the delays persist, and setup for just this one account is /always/ 100% manual.

  • How Do You Use Your Blackberry--Email

    Hi, all,
Being a Blackberry aficionado, I find all of the different things your Blackberry can do for you amazing.  One of the best features of all Blackberry devices is email.  With your email pushed directly to your device, you don't have to be near your computer to send and recieve email.  With the Blackberry, you can add up to 11 email addresses, including 10 supported email accounts and one BlackBerry email account that comes with your device.
My question to you is this:  How many email accounts do you have on your Blackberry device?
I will start by telling you that I have 6 email accounts on my device.
    Thanks for sharing...
    Doc

Hi - I have 4 at the moment:
BB  (which I don't use, but set up because it comes with.....)
Gmail (which is actually receiving gmail + 4 more linked to the gmail account)
    AOL (personal, family)
Treasurer email for a scout troop
I have my business email funneled through Gmail at the moment, with folders (err, labels) set up to sort it all out for me - if I split the business email off and set it up separately on the BB, I would then get duplicates of all of those. And if I take the business OFF the gmail grab list, I'd have to re-set up all the folders and such . . . and I like the way gmail handles things. The only pitfall is I can't RESPOND to the business emails from the business email address unless it is set up on the device - any reply I make comes from Gmail.
Any of you BB gurus have a workaround to keep my business email funneled through gmail , yet be able to reply to emails on the BB with the business address? Within gmail, you can choose which of the linked emails you want it to send from, but I haven't been able to manage that from the BB.
....Still learning new things every day!!

  • Reloading BlackBerry Email Setup Application

    Hi,
I accidentally deleted the Blackberry Email Setup application in my BB Torch 9800. Accordingly, I cannot  setup any email accounts on my BB.
Does anybody know how I can reinstall this application so that I can setup my email accounts on my BB?
    Thank you,

I don't want to step on Boomer56's toes, but you've been without a response for six hours so I'll take a shot at it.
If you plug your phone into your PC and open Desktop Manager, you can reload your current OS from there.  First, open Desktop Manager and do a data backup of your phone.  Once that's complete, click Device at the top of DM and Update from the drop-down menu.  You might be told that your phone is up to date.  At the bottom of that box, it'll show Show Other Versions.  Click that and make sure your current version is the one that's checked.  Keep it checked and click Update.  This will re-install your current OS, along with all the bells and whistles it came with.
    - If my response has helped you, please click "Options" beside my post and mark it as solved. Clicking the "thumbs up" icon near the bottom of my response would also be appreciated.

  • Can't add blackberry email address

I got a device update from Verizon that wiped out my email accounts.  I couldn't add the blackberry email address associated with my device back to the phone because I don't know the password.  I created a new blackberry email address, but when I try to get updated in AppWorld it still wants the password from the old address.  When I request a password reset it sends the information to the old email address which I can't access because I don't know the password.
Does anyone know how to change the email address associated with my device OR how to have the password reset info sent to a different email address?

You didn't say, but are you ACTUALLY trying to enter the BlackBerryID on your device?
Read this for instructions to reset your BlackBerryID password:
KB26361How to reset a BlackBerry ID password
Is that what you need... or is this for an actual BlackBerry email address, such as "[email protected]"?

    Hi and Welcome!
As far as I've ever been able to determine, no...BB email is only viewable on the BB device.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    First, refer:
Article ID: KB33260 BlackBerry (hosted) email address forwarding for BlackBerry 10 OS
If you are unable to activate the forwarding, then contact your mobile service provider as they manage that email account for you.

  • Blackberry Emails Setup

How do I set up a blackberry email so I can use the blackberry messenger?
someone told me to click on the icon that looks like a letter and globe but i have a different email address setup under that icon..
    thanks!

Try going to the Alltel BIS site here. Click the create a account button. Afterwards you can add your existing email account, afterwards new emails should start coming to the device in 20-30 mins. But you'll get an email on the BlackBerry indicating that it was successfully setup.

You cannot transfer email from the old device to a BB10 device. You need to setup the email account on the new Q10 in order to access email.

Is this a <carrier>.blackberry.net email address? If so, are you able to use the security question you setup when creating the email account to verify that you have the correct password? Also, can you clarify why it was it removed from the BlackBerry and needs to be re-added?

  • Blackberry Email Being Phased out - why santyclaus

    Hi All,
Perhaps someone from Blackberry could let us know why they would phase out the blackberry email server and accounts? This was the only account I could rely on working.  Is there some other solution they offer?
PS. For a Blackberry "Classic" I just bought, its not very classic to find this out...
Thank you from a loyal but puzzled business user.

There are plenty of free email accounts out there. There is no real reason to have them anymore. I recommend Outlook.com, which supports Exchange Active Sync (EAS) for Blackberry 10 devices. GMail dropped their EAS for free users a couple years ago so GMail users are left only with IMAP sync which is not that great.

  • Problem re-installing my BlackBerry email account

I deleted all of my email accounts and their associated calendars off my Curve 8520 at the weekend to remedy a multiple duplication calendar prolblem with my Gmail account.  I can easily re-install my Gmail and Hotmail accounts but cannot reinstall my BlackBerry email account.  My carrier is Virgin Mobile.
Surely this is the same process as transferring your BB email account from an old device to a new one?  So I would have thought there must be an easy way of doing this, but it appears that I am wrong, especially after spending a happy hour on the phone to the Virgin Support Centre last night with no success!!
Any help would be really appreciated.
    Graham

I have pretty much fixed this with assistance from my carrier, but I did not get my calendar or email messages back - but I did get my access to calendar and email back!
