Blackberry Factory Reset Issue

Please help me solve this... My phone had successfully reset but the phone won't turn on.
See the screenshot. Yes! It has successfully connected but my phone has no display. Only a blank screen and a red or rainbow color led display is showing.. Please help me fix this!

Do this, remove the device from the USB connection to the PC.
Restart: Press and hold the upper edge power button about 20-30 seconds, ignore the 3-2-1 timer and hold until the screen goes black and you see the red LED.
or
Reboot: On the side edge volume keys, press and hold down both of the Up and Down volume keys for about 20 seconds, ignoring the initial screenshot message... the screen will go black and reboot.

Jetpack 6620l factory reset issue

So the config settings on my brand new Jetpack 6620L have become corrupt and I am unable to access the web admin page to complete a factory reset.No problem I will just use the pinhole reset inside the battery compartment.After several attempts of holding down the button for 5-6 seconds until it reboots per the exact instructions on the VZW website for the manual factory default option,all the settings are still there when it reboots.The Verizon support rep advised that it needs to be returned to the store for replacement as it is a hardware issue.I would tend to agree as no networking equipment,router i have ever owned failed to factory reset with a pinhole press.Anyone run into this issue with this model and found a solution ?Maybe the instructions are incorrect on the Verizon support site?

The reset button should work the way you expect it to. If the device is not properly resetting back to the defaults and allowing you to access the admin page then the device should be sent back for warranty replacement.
Other than that perhaps there is something on your current PC that is blocking you from accessing the Jetpacks admin page. I would try accessing the page from a 2nd PC or device to see if the problem is consistent or not before turning it over for replacement. If you can access it from a 2nd machine then you know there is some kind of service blocking your usage on the primary PC which we can dig deeper into.

After using heavy programs such as gaming and media design, everything on my laptop just shuts down. Out of nowhere it says that my video card's memory has ran out so I thought I was just overdoing it and so I restarted. I do this quite often so it came as a surprise to be that this happened for the first time. Once laptop was back up, the moment I tried to boot up anything that depended on the Nvidia GeForce GTX 765m, it would say that there was an issue with the nvidia kernel and it restarted successfully so I thought it was an issue with the graphics card. Uninstalling and Reinstalling did not work so I contacted NVidia customer support for help and they said to change power management to max, which didn't help either unfortunately.
Eventually, I just saved all my files onto my external hard drive and went for a factory reset hoping that may fix the problem, if not than sending the laptop back in to get it checked. After reset got to 100%, the computer shuts down without resetting so I waited 10 minutes and came back to start it up and it says "Windows was not successfully installed and windows need to be installed." I do not have a recovery disc or the windows 8 oem key to start my laptop back up again. Unfortunately it is a bit frustrating considering it is the only laptop that I have for assignments - typing this on a tablet - so hopefully there is a fix for it soon. Please help if you have any information. Thanks a lot.

Call MSI and do an RMA. Most likely there is an issue with the video card that needs to be fixed. Atleast, by the sound of what you're explaining that's what I would think.

Factory Reset Issues

Hi,
I decided to factory reset my PC as it needed a good clear out and was running very slow and I wish to use it to run a dedicated piece of software with noting else on there. I've an external hard drive (G:/) to which I 'cut' all my folders from
Destop, (I know I shouldn't have them there but I did, but there wasn't many) I also removed files fro: Pitcures, C:/ drive, Downloads, music, video, documents folders etc. Once I had done that I then factory reset and unistalled allot of programs,
approx 80% of everything on my PC. I then rebooted and then installed the Windows updates, there were dozens! Anyway it took forever and it now seems to be stuck on Downloading Java. It also seems to have some issue with constantly accessing the external
drive and if I unplug the drive an error message comes up which is looking for it. What have I done wrong? My husbands says I should have 'copied' the files to the G:/ not 'cut' the files. I'm in a pickle - I have bought a Cintiq tablet and want
to get my PC working so I can run the tablet, can anyone help or advise please?
I am running Windows Vista.

There would be no difference to "cut" or "copy" as you have decided to reinstall Windows. One thing that would be mattered is the files in Desktop might be shortcut only, you should check at your external disk and see if the files are
transfered correctly.
For the current situation, like SenneVL mentioned, the data have been restored and all works well?
Open
Event Viewer to check the event logs, check
Device Manager to make sure all the devices work well.

C20 TC5.0 FACTORY RESET ISSUE

Need some assistance please.
I have a C20 running TC5.0 software.
Using the quick set c20 document for factory reset ... I power down the system. Than press and hold to power up and get the LED (GRN) blinking.
Problem is that when I press and hold the button the LED GRN light never comes up. After about 8-10 seconds I get the RED Led. When I release the button the system commenses a normal start up. ?????
Any ideas as I need to get the password reset on the thing.

The factory reset procedure was changed in software version TC5.1, so anything before that has a different procedure than more current versions.
As Jens has mentioned - the factory reset procedure is different on the version of software you're running, so, in your case, with the TC5.0 software, you'll need to use the "old way".
There's a description of the two methods in jrandby's post in the c20-factory-default-power-button thread.
As mentioned in the troubleshooting guides (pages 22-25), the Hardware Method of performing a factory reset is one of the last resort options - there are other methods you should try first.

39L4300 Factory Reset issue

Hi All.
I just did a factory reset via the android menu, through General> Backups & Reset> Factory data reset.
Right now, there appears to be power, with only backlight on, and remote control appear to be not working.
Tried reset it via poking needle at the side of the TV, still not starting up. just blank black background
Is there any way to make it boot up via computer or some sort?

Have called and successfully solved the problem.
Apparantly, they changed the whole circuit board, or you call it motherboard.
Thats weird, word of advice to all, dont ever do a Reset from android menu.

Factory reset issue on Slate 21: "Unfortunately, setup wizard has stopped"

I tried a factory reset via menu+vol- and got stuck after wifi/ethernet selection.. wait a sec... message. It keeps on aborting after that giving me the "Unfortunately, setup wizard has stopped" message. It goes on on a loop.No more slate 21!..Does anyone have a fix for that?

HP does not support custom recoveries and ROMs. You will need to seek support from a third party. If you re-locked your device and restored the default recovery (which I don't believe HP offers, only the image, so you'd have needed to make a backup manually) I may be able to make some suggestions. It's also possible that you bricked your device. Thanks.

WRT350N - Regular Factory Reset Issue

I have a WRT350N in our home office. The router works fairly well but there are two problems that seem consistent:
- the router is not as "speedy" as it should be
- every two or three months, I need to reset it to the factory settings as it just seems to "forget" how to work
The speed issue appears to be related to the router since if I reset the router, it performs faster post-reboot. I don't know what may be causing it but thought I should mention it. The network is made up of a gigabyte network with a SD2008 (Linksys Gigabyte Switch) - so, it should be fairly speedy most of the time.
The second issue is that every couple of months, I need to reset the router to the factory settings because it forgets how to connect to our DSL router. Not matter what I try, the connection dies and the only cure is to reset the router to the factory defaults. This is highly annoying.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I have re-installed the latest firmware a couple of already but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
The local file sharing is quite fast, it just seems the Internet routing is not as fast as it should be. It is faster if I connect directly to my Internet DSL bridge - but when the router is in between it seems the NAT takes longer than it should.
Yet, this could be all in my mind.

Factory Reset issue

So I own a Satellite L655- S5096. And some how a virus got onto it and ruined it. I cant get back on to the computer (and of I do it is really laggy). But the issue is it says that i unplugged a USB storage device and should retry later (after trying to reset it). Can someone please help me?

WRT 1900AC factory reset issues!

I bought my wrt router 1900ac a couple of days ago as to upgrade my existing EA4500. I have (had) my ea4500 wireless router setup as a bridge as my dhcp is set via a mikrotik router. Anyway, I tried to setup the wrt 1900ac the same way. what happened next was that i could not access the router setup page anymore. it keeps forcing me to go to the linksyssmartwifi page and tells me the router is not setup properly. i have tried to reset the router via holding the red reset button to no avail. i mean i have held it from 10 second to upward of a minute. i am out of ideas. please help!

I reset my WRT1900AC to factory defaults by holding in the recessed reset button for 30 seconds. You can see the LED's on the front and see when the router reboots and resets itself.
After reset connect to the router's LAN port and click the link below:
http://192.168.1.1
When you get to the setup page you can bypass the setup wizard and configure your router. At the login page you can either login with your Smart Wifi Account or click the Local Access link to bypass Smart Wifi. Bypassing Smart Wifi disables those cloud services. If you later want Smart Wifi Services when you login on the router click the Login to Smart Wifi link.

You'll need to remember either your password or your security question answer. Without either one you can't reset your BB ID and you'll have to make a new one. This, unfortunately, will cause you to lose all data associated with your old one, such as contacts and paid apps from BlackBerry World.

G50-45 Factory reset issues

I have been having an issue with my laptop the bast week, when ever I try to start it up it gets stuck on either the Lenovo start up page itself or on the "preparing automatic repair" screen, when it freezes it has the Lenovo logo as well as red lines "shadowing" the logo. I was directed to the OKR and to click the option system recovery which in the end just places me in the same problem, is there any more options besides sending it in to Lenovo?

If the OKR Procedure completed but still gave you the same no boot issue,
I strongly suggest you contact the Hardware team for assistance, It might be an issue with the HDD.

Instead of the Powershell to type in the commands you can also do the same using Command prompt,
If in case you had this screen, here's how you can get to a command prompt window
You will need to click on the Advanced options button, followed by Troubleshoot, and finallyAdvanced options. On this screen you can select other tools to use to diagnose your problem.

Nightmare after 10.2.1.573 update (device 'coma', factory reset, cannot restore via blackberry link) (on Etisalat)

3 days ago, I updated my Q10 as prompted to the newest software (I'm in the UAE and use etisalat)
Following the update, I rebooted the phone and was faced with the dreaded blackberry 'coma' - where it reboots but then hangs at 99% or 100%
Reading some advice, I let it sit for 2 days at 100% to see if it would eventually resolved - it didn't. Battery pulls and resets etc also ineffective
I plugged it into my computer and was able to back it up via the blackberry link software. I then did a factory reset and installed the latest software (10.2.1.573, my OS version is 10.2.1.1925
The phone now boots up fine and syncs with BBerry link - but it will not restore the device. The error message I get is "restore did not complete. There could have been a problem with the device or connection during the restore. Verify that the device is turned on or connected" Rebooting the computer, reinstalling link etc, does not work, neither does only reloading part of the data.
Can anybody help, I am desperate, and currently have no way to restore and of my media or contacts!! (my plan with etisalat does not suppost blackberry protect so I don't have that) Is it true that this is a known problem with blackberry link?
I've heard of people having issues when then they use new leaked updates and then have to downgrade, because BlackBerry Link will not let you restore a backup from an OS that was made on a higher OS version. However this is not the case here - the backup file was made BEFORE the upgrade so will the the same or lower version of OS

I've factory reset my iPhone twice, about to be three times. has anyone else had issues that force them to factory reset their phones.

So I got my iPhone 6 on the day it came out and it has been the most frustrating experience I've ever had with apple. I've had to factory reset my phone twice, probably about to be three times once i get home from work. The first time was trying to transfer my stuff from my old iPhone and right after it finished my iPhone 6 turned itself off then turned on to the boot up screen (the one with the apple logo) and then shut off then did the same thing. this forced my to factory reset my new iphone literally the day i got it. The next day i was trying to upload my music and basically the same thing happened again, forcing me to reset my phone for a second time. Just now (its been two weeks that I've owned my new phone)i tried to get on twitter and the app crashed then my phone reset itself and when it loaded to the unlock screen, instead of my background it was just a black screen with the time and the unlock slide. when i unlocked it, it went back to the normal background and the main screen. Because whenever i would turn off (not power off, but put it to sleep) the phone and turn it back on it would do the same thing. I decided to restart it (actually turn it completely off and then back on) and now it will show the boot up screen then turn off. I understand that there is the solution of factory resetting my iPhone, but 3 times in 2 weeks is pretty unacceptable, seeing as i had a 4s for almost 3 years and never once had to factory reset it and its also incredibly annoying to have to redownload all of my stuff. Has anyone else had this problem? is there anyway i can keep this from continuing to happen? is it a software issue or is it the phone itself that is messing up?

Well the first two restorations were the first and second day (9/19 and 9/20) that i had my 6 and both times i chose to restore is as new. since then there haven't been any issues until now. granted the first time my phone messed up was after i used the At&t transfer app which made me think it couldve been something that corrupted my device. the second time though started with me attempting to download music from the itunes store app on the phone. for whatever reason it would download but not but it wouldnt process and install the music. Then i tried to download it from my computer and thats when the second screw up occurred. that time i dont think it was an issue of my phone being corrupted because it was already acting strangely before i ever plugged it into my computer. This third time, i'm at work so i havent been able to do anything about it, i wasnt downloading anything and my phone was not hooked up to a computer, i simply tried to open twitter and then all this happened. and it has been a solid almost two weeks without incident which makes me think its my phone and not corrupt files. also looking at forums, not just these but other online, i haven't really seen anyone with the same problem which adds to my thought that its a problem with my phone.
Just to be clear, the first time this happened, the iphone would display the boot up screen then shut off then turn on and display the boot up screen, then shut of and kept going on like that until i put my iphone into recovery mode and factory reset it. the second time the iphone would display the boot up screen and then shut off, but wouldnt turn on unless i pressed the power button again. this third time is the same story. i dont know if this makes a difference or if its symptomatic of different problems but i figured it wouldnt hurt to explain in detail the issues that happened each separate time.
Also on a side note, i havent done anything like jailbreak it, mess with it download or any third party apps not on the app store.

My LG Optimus Zone is having software issues and I can't access the Recovery Menu for a Factory Reset. It was working fine until I went to activate it and update the PRL. It turns on, but Freezes on the LG Logo. it currently goes into the LG Download Mode, and When I restore with LG's Mobile Support Tool, It finishes, reboots, and stays at the boot Logo. I was wondering if I can possibly get a replacement phone? This is a little upsetting, as i was hoping to have it transfered from prepaid to postpaid service next month
