Blackberry has black screen

i recently purchased a blackberry less than a week now and it has been working perfectly up until today. here is what happened i purcashed a case for it and i tried to switch out the old one but after struggling and not being able to get it apart i decided to wait and let my husband deal with it so i put the screws and battery back in thinking everything is just as before only to discover my screen is compeletly black and unresponsive don't get me wrong the phone itself is obviously working i.e lighting up i'm still receiving text and email alerts everthing sames to be in order i just can't see a thing please someone help i hope i haven't jack my phone in less than a week HEAVEN FORBID!
p.s yes i have tried a battery pull numerous times no change...any suggestions?

I don't think you pressed anything to cause this. With no display, troubleshooting is limited. The store will have to repair or fix this for you.

Did anything happen to prior to your phone acting this way? It sounds like your screen is dead, but it is hard to say without knowing what what the cause.
1) was this a gradual problem? Did the phone screen start dimming a couple months ago and now has degraded or after some event (known or unknown to you), the phone started behaving this way.
2) Can you give more specifics on the problem? You said you have a black screen, but also you can see what you're doing on screen. Is the screen just really dim? Is the screen completely black? Does anything else besides attempting to reset the device cause it to flash white?

Follow the 3R's- if a restart does not solve your problem proceed
User troubleshooting is:
1.restart, ie power off/on,

Blackberry Z10 Black Screen Of Death

I have been an avid Blackberry supporter for many years. I started with the pearl flip, 9800, 9810, bold, and now I just bought a gently used, less than a year old, Blackberry Z10. I unlocked it and put it on with Koodo, and it was an awesome cell phone/ business tool. Until last night. It black screened on me, and now won't do anything, at all. I've tried a soft reset, nothing. I've tried a hard reset, nothing. I've tried switching batteries, nothing. I can't access it through Blackberry Link, can't do a **bleep** thing with it at all. No, I didn't drop it. No, it didn't get wet. The thing worked awesome until it just up and died. I've read up on this, and apparantly this isn't an uncommon issue. What's the fix here guys. I'm kinda feeling jaded for being such a Blackberry supporter after all these years. I need a solution.

After using hibernation, it does not start up and has black screen

My computer was fine for 2 yrs or so,now it will not startup! After it was in hibernation, I came back a few hrs later and turned on the power and it has a black screen. The only things that are lit are the left side blue dot and the f12 button.
This computer worked perfectly until today, except it tok longer sometimes to come out of hibernation.
I tries a hard reset according to what the HP website said, nothing worked!!
Can anyone help ant tell me how to get this thing to work??

As the computer screen is remaining black/blank after the hard reset, I would suggest the following document 'Troubleshooting Black Screen Displays with No Error Messages During Startup or Boot'. Please follow through the steps outlined in order.

My mac book pro with retina display has a black screen. It turns on and off but the screen remains black. The hardware test detected an error: 4SNS/1/40000001:IDOR-0.000

SNS is a sensor error the letter I later on says it is a current sensor.
Your Mac needs to visit the genius bar. Your appointment for an evaluation is Free.

Camera has black screen

I would try the basic software troubleshooting: force quitting the camera app via multitasking, restarting, resetting, and then if all else fails, a restore.

Ipad has black screen with white bar

My ipad2's screen has gone blank. after leaving it uncharged for a good 18 hours. I switched it on to see a blank, black sceen with a white bar moving downwards accross the screen this fades to black.
I have tried charging it for a good 7 hours as I thought maybe the battery has run down and caused this.
I have also tried resetting by pressing the on/off and home button together for 10-15 secs but no luck.
My ipad still synches to my imac okay. I have restored it to factory settings. This didn't help the problem either.
This actually happened when first took the brand new ipad out of the box and tried turning it on for the first time. But it revived itsself after synching to my imac and being on charge for a few minutes. The support technition I spoke to at the time didnt really know why it did this but suggested it was a very low batterry issue. Although I am inclined to think its something else, now its happened again and charging does not seem to work.
Has anyone had the same problem? If so what did you do? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be gratefully recieved.

I Don't know if this will work for anyone else but just FYI - after loading 8.1 on my iPad it froze for several hours on the black screen with white Apple and progress bar underneath. It would not do anything. I thought I was doomed. I accidentay left it sitting overnight without plugging it Back into the charger. I meant to but got sidetracked and thought it was plugged in. During the night the battery was totally drained so this morning my iPad was dead. I plugged it into the charger and after a few minutes the battery icon came up showing it was charging. I gave it about 30 minutes and then turned it on and the new operating system came up. It looks like it might be ok now. I can't say I recommend this, but it worked for me.

HELP!! 4s has black screen

My iPhone 4S was working perfectly up until this evening. Have a black screen and can hear if txt's come in and the sound it maes when taking a snap shot. But that is all
Device wasn't hot nor has it been dropped.

Try resetting the device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the reset is complete, the Home screen will redisplay.

DVD Player Has Black Screen

I have a new 15" Mac Book Pro. I am trying to play dvd's that I recorded on a Panasonic DVD Recorder from my Direct TV TIVO Recorder.
DVD Player recognizes the dvd and will even display the title page but when I try to play the disc all I get is a black screen with DVD Player in the right bottom of the screen.
Any help out there?

Something tells me it's the formatting with Direct TV TIVO Recorder that an Apple DVD Player can't read but perhaps there's information in the link above that can help.

Macbook Pro has black screen

Black screen, and no light in the "apple" on the back of the screen either.
The computer works fine with external screen.
But the brightness function doesn't seem to respond to the normal keys.
Question: Is the screen dead or am i missing a keyboard issue?

No it does not unless maybe you are in mirror mode with the internal screen open.
But you say the other function key functions show on screen, on the internal blacked out screen?
But really if it was a keyboard problem then how was the keyboard use to turn down the internal screen brightness all the way until it was black.
I know you would like to think it is something else but in the end we both know what the problem is.
Take it in to a apple care center and have it checked out.

Is it charged? If not charge it with the supplied charger.
If charged, have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

Dv 6448se lights are on, computer has black screen

when i turn on the computer it acts like it is going to start up - the lights come on then the cd rom starts and you hear 2 faint beeps and then nothing happens. I have a black screen and it waits a few minutes then shuts off.

A common problem on the dv 6000 series, it can be repaired most of the time.

Scrambled or pixelated screen

Turns on, black screen and keeps restarting by itself

G70-246US Laptop has black screen and won't start

Hi Everyone,
I have an HP G70-246US laptop. I received an errot that the computer could not find any Boot Disks. I turned it off and rebooted the computer and it would not come back on. I see nothing but a black screen. The power button light comes on but the hard drive light does not.
There is no sound of system startup, none of the f1, options work. The power button and the wireless button are lit and the dvd player allows me to put a cd in and eject it but nothing works.
I took the hd out and put it back in to make sure it was connected securely and still nothing. I am trying to get an idea of what needs to be pinpointed before I purchase a new hard drive.
Unfortunately, I am over my one year warranty time period. I really need to figure out a resolution soon as I design websites and without my computer, I can't finish my work.
Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated.

With the hdd out can you access the BIOS by tapping the F10 key after powering on? If so that would pretty well point to the hdd causing the problems. Your machine came with a 160Gb SATA hdd. If you will be using your Recovery Disks to reinstall you need at least that large to use them,can be larger but no smaller.

Welcome to the Apple boards:
Were you holding down the Power button while the computer was still running? That's wrong and if that's what you did, you aborted the update and forced the machine off.
See if you can reboot in the safe mode - hold down the shift key while booting.
If you have corrupted the keyboard firmware, you may need to take the computer to Apple - I hope that is not the case.
One should never interrupt a firmware update.
