Blackberry - have you lost your Corporate mind?

I bought the Classic, brilliant phone (but still have a favourite spot for my Bold 9780), it does Blackberry Security in spades. Well done Blackberry! Now, not being a great one for multiple apps I havent bothered too much up until now, the legacy ones that I thought I should use are still there. I decided to dip my toe in the Amazon App to access some of these "brilliant apps" that are not available for BB10 natively but are supplied by Amazon Store. Now then, before even using Amazon Store - its demanding access to everything on my phone and on the Cloud! Have you lost your Corporate Mind? The most security conscious phone and operating system manufacturer on the planet, and you "do a deal" with someone demanding that level of information just to access their storefront? Its exactly like going in to buy a newspaper and the store clerk reads your mail in your pocket first - and thats before you buy a newspaper. Good grief Blackberry, what on earth were you thinking?

Honestly, i will never install or use a preinstalled app that will demand so many permissions. Too risky. I use to use 1Mobile market for android apps on my Z10, but after that app was updated, it also asked for permissions to the microphone and camera for what they call "Data collection". No way.  But that was a third party android app store. Probably much much less secure than the Amazon App store. If your phone does not have sensitive information on it on a daily basis, i would say use it, but if you do, stay away.

  • How many times have you lost your Nano?

My sister got a Nano for Christmas, and a week later, she can't find it. Has anyone else out there lost their Nano? Should I really buy a device that can be easily lost within a week?

    she can't find it.
    Inside the house=misplaced
    Outside of the home=stolen
Cellphones & iPods are rarely if ever "lost."
For my iPod Nano I got one of these - !http://www.macally.com/newpro/MCase5/bigt.jpg! which enables me to wear the iPod around my neck whenever I leave the house. To date, I have not removed the case. Actually, there is no need to.

  • Have you tried your iPhoto 5 DVD backups with iPhoto 6?

    Hi,
Have you tried your iPhoto 5 DVD backups with iPhoto 6?
When I upgraded to iPhoto 5 I had to rebuild all my previous iPhoto 4 backups to the new version. It took hours and I had to re-burn the DVDs in the new format.
    Thanks,
    -meny

    Hi Lori,
I meant a CD or DVD burned from within iPhoto 5.
If you made such CD/DVD in iPhoto 4 and opened it in iPhoto 5, the library had to be rebuilt. This took up to 15 minutes.
If iPhoto 6 can open iPhoto 5 libraries without a need to rebuild, that's great news!

  • If you lost your install CD's for an iMac7,1. Can you use Snow Leopard to reboot/install?

If you lost your install CD's for an iMac7,1. Can you use Snow Leopard to reboot/install?

    Best answer; see AnaMusic above.
Will SL do? Yes, provided you use the SL retail disc. A grey disc from another Mac will not work.
    A few considerations -
Be warned that printer drivers, and scanner drivers in particular will almost certainly need updating for SL. That could be a problem if the printer or scanner is more than a couple of years old.
Many third party applications (and some Apple ones) may need updates for SL (Adobe particularly), so check with the vendors for compatability before you upgrade.
You'll need Rosetta to run PPC apps like Appleworks and many MS Office or Adobe versions. Ensure you select it from the 'optional installations' when installing SL.
Note also that any bundled applications that came with your Tiger original discs (iLife in particular) are not included on retail OS versions.

  • What if you lost your iphone and can't remember the icloud account because the phone was previously your boyfriends?

What if you lost your iPhone 5c and forgot the Apple ID because it was your boyfriends old ID, what then?

I cannot speak for either, but Apple does not get involved in tracing stolen phones.  If "Find my iPhone" cannot be used, there is no other way of tracing the phone. Sorry.

you forgot to answer to the secret questions on APP Store  also you lost your E-mail account to regain the answers

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
