Blackberry ID is not responding

I did a security wipe on my bb q5 device, after the phone turned on, i selected a language, choose a wifi connection , swipe left to choose my country and agree to terms and conditions, but the agree to terms page won't load, it takes me to the homepage. I can't access and application on the phone, i tried using my bbm, it required I log in to my Blackberry ID tried doing that but my phones says Blackberry ID not responding. Please what can I do to fix it,

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
2) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
Good luck!

  • Blackberry software download not responding

Please I have been having issues with reloading my os.I have been trying to reload my os because it has this jvm error 545 displaying on the screen and I have not been successfull. Please help me with this issue i have tried all the procedures from the write ups in this forum and have achieved nothing. please reply my message. Thank You in advance.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Unfortunately, I cannot see you, and hence cannot know what exactly you have already tried...hence all I can do is give you these instructions.
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try the "Bare Bones OS Reload Procedure" to attempt to narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.

If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

  • Blackberry 9330- application net_rim_bluetooth (147) not responding Error

I updated my bb software to 6.0 and paired my Ford Edge with my blackberry.  All works fine for two days, then I get the following message:
Uncaught exception; application net_rim_bluetooth (147) not responding; process terminated.
I have had Verizon hard reset my blackberry and reinstall 6.0 update and then deleted and repaired my blackberry to my car.  Works for two days and then I get the same error.
I was even told to power off my bb at night so that it would cut all signals - that doesn't work.  The only way I can get my BB to work is to take out the battery each time I get the error and restart.
This pairing worked fine from November until now when my blackberry had 5.0 software on it.
    PLEASE HELP!!!

I am having the same problem...HOWEVER...I just downloaded and installed the upgrade on the software bundle for the phone (version 3084) last night and I am keeping my fingers crossed because it hasn't happened all day.  Perhaps the fix was in that upgrade.

  • Uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_phone_app (46) not responding process terminated

My Curve 8330 has been getting a little bit funky lately. I get the hourglass for long periods of time, especially when I have more than one application open. Today I got the hourglass for quite a while until I finally got the following error message:
Uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_phone_app (46) not responding process terminated
When I enter it into the search on the Blackberry support web site, I get less than no help. Does anyone know what this error message refers too or can point me to some documentation that might help?
    Thanks!

Let's ignore the error message for now (I even get a similar message on mine when rebooting, nothing I can do).
To prevent freezing or lagging/slow response on any BlackBerry, the most important practice you can adopt is to be sure to CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.
If you just hit the red "end call" key to go back to the home screen the application actually stays open and running in the background. If you do this repeatedly you will have lots of apps open and consequently your memory will get used up. Lack of memory is the biggest reason your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or locks up. If you get into the habit of actually using the menu key to close the applications this will at least slow down this memory-clogging process. You still may have to do a battery pull or use the "Quickpull" app once in a while when things get slow.
To check what applications are running on your device in the background, press the Menu key then choose Switch Applications. You will see the icons of each application there.
So now, check your applications running in the background. There are commonly four or five applications that will always be running (Messages, Call Logs/Phone, BlackBerry Messenger, Homescreen, and the Browser; there are other third party applications such as BeeJive, and BlackBerry Alerts which will also run in the background which you cannot close if you want them to operate). Make certain that the browser is NOT on an active webpage (open the browser and choose Menu > Close). Close any other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

  • App Error 602 & "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(144) is not responding; process terminated"

    Hi,
I have spent a whole and very frustrating day trying to solve the following problem and in exasperation I resort to a posting here. Note no changes had been made to the phone prior to the start of the problem.
My Blackberry 9800 Torch freezes on power-up. It can only be ‘unfrozen’ by taking out the battery or, if left alone, after many minutes it comes up with the white screen, ‘App Error 602' and ‘Reset’ which is highlighted. Resetting has the same effect as taking out the battery. After each restart, it goes through the usual security and time checks and then freezes again. However, on rare occasions I got the message “Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(144) is not responding; process terminated”.
Soon after the restart, after the Security Software Verification and on confirming the time/date, there is a very small window of opportunity (literally a couple of seconds) to access the phone. After much trial and error, I discovered that (in Manage Connections) by disabling the Mobile Network and WiFi - effectively putting it into ‘aeroplane mode’ - the device would work, without any problem and indefinitely. Except, of course, I couldn’t access the phone network nor the internet, which isn’t helpful(!).
I have taken this opportunity to do a full back-up on to my PC, through BlackBerry Desktop Software (though I’m not sure this backs up downloaded Apps??). Separately, I've also copied all the subdirectories from the phone’s memory and media card on to the PC, retaining their correct structures (but presumably also copying the corruption causing the problem?).
    Any ideas???
    - thanks in advance!

The method you are attempting is the automatic method...sometimes it just doesn't work, and you must take control. The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):

  • Hyperlinks Not Responding in Passport

I had a problem that hyperlinks in emails, web sites etc would not highlight and open.  My wireless provider and my email provider were stumped also.  This forum suggested the problem could be solved by removing the OS and reinstalling it, which did not work.
I tried everything over many many hours.  Finally found the solution was to go to settings/accessibility and turn off "Magnify Mode" and now all hyperlinks work like a charm.
Blackberry please fix as soon as possible.
Also, when in Magnify Mode the 3 two finger taps do not reduce the magnifcation to nil.

You will get a "not responding" message here also as we have no idea what version or computer you are using.

  • Perl Flip 8230 & XP 64-bit - Desktop manager does not respond

    Greetings.
I am using a brand new Perl Flip 8230 (black), along with the new software (the CD has a timestamp of 2008.12.18, well after the last update of 2008.11.17).
When I install the software, it claims to be the 4.7 version, but I am having quite a few issues with it. First of all, while all the drivers install nicely, and the phone is recognized by the connection software, I am unable to *properly* launch the Desktop Manager.
An inital launch (click on icon) of the Desktop Manager causes it to appear in the Task Manager, but it never ends up showing up on the screen. I even tried waiting for 1/2 hr, no dice. A second attempt at launching (without shutting down the process first) does cause it to appear, but it ends up completely unresponsive. There is still only one executable in the Task Manager (the second attempt did not launch a second copy), but what exists on the screen does not respond to any actions.
The window that appears is almost completely blank - the dark grey background-image is visible, but pretty well no other text or icons of any kind exist aside from a large "Menu" at the upper left, which is also nonresponsive. As well, trying to close the window by using the red X at the upper right is completely unsuccessful. In order to close the program, I need to go to the task manager, find the process, and "End Process Tree". Nothing else works.
Finally, the window that does appear also has a version number at the bottom in tiny text - version 4.5 of the desktop manager. HUH?!
I tried to install a downloaded version of 4.7 (in case there was a mix-up at the factory), but it claimed that a newer copy of the software was installed. Somehow "4.7" is older than "4.5". Strange, that. Selecting the "desktopmgr.exe" file to run in compatibility mode as plain old "XP" also does not work.
I tried to repair the installation, no dice. I have now uninstalled the software in preparation of using the 4.7 version straight from the Blackberry website. I will report back on how well that works.
As a final note, I am running Windows XP 64-bit, with the latest service pack (SP2) and all the latest patches and updates (SP3 does not exist for XP 64-bit). I cannot install the software on a 32-bit version of XP because I do not have XP 32-bit on any of my computers. Nor do I have Vista (either 32-bit or 64-bit). I have Linux (5 computers), OpenBSD (3 computers), OpenSolaris (1 computer), Windows 2003 64-bit (2 servers), Windows 2008 64-bit (1 test machine) and several other experimental platforms (HaikuOS, BeOS, etc.), but no XP 32-bit. Sorry.
My other half's computer is an older 1Ghz PowerPC4 iMac (2nd gen iMac - "lampshade" model) running 10.4 (most recent update), but that computer is not one I want to use. I am also unsure if the Blackberry software is capable of running on PowerPC Macs, as it may be Intel-only (I haven't had a chance to check yet).
If someone has any idea why my Desktop Manager is completely unresponsive, please help.
And yes, I did reboot after installation. I seriously doubt that this is an ID-ten-T error. PEBKAC does not apply!!

An installation of the downloaded 4.7 software did not function; all symptoms were idential to the version supplied on CD.
I am shutting this thread down in favour of a post in a more appropriate category. Please provide any replies in that thread.

  • Launching Fireworks CS6 (Subscription) Mac "Not Responding"

    I have a CS6 subscription.
I had not used FW CS6 (subscription service version) for a few months, maybe last December. But I used it and version predecessors regularly for years and today the CS6 Subscription would not open with Mac 10.8.3 where it basically shows startup screen and then puts mac into overdrive using about 62% of CPU where mac reports in monitor "Not Responding) and same message on Force Quit menu.
So I did rename prefs in both Library and Application Support. That did not work.
Then I removed Fireworks CS6 using Uninstall and reinstalled from the Adobe Application Manager.
When the problem first started you would at least see the doc window, empty, no panels, no menu. but now after reinstall just see a small light gray window in top left corner of screen narrow width about 100 px(approx) and about 400 px (approx) with six horizontal lines.
I am really dependent on FW as I have used it since days of Macromedia.
So I am at a lost what to do next.
    [Edit]
Spent an hour online chat support with Adobe. Not real happy about that experience.
Most of the time spent gathering information about me. I would say I got about 5 minutes of the hour on the actual problem. But that abysmal support process deserved a different airing.
After going over with three people, posting this link twice for two of them and once for the last one, the final one from the installation team, they concluded I need to make a call the support number and talk to a person for a resolution. Cannot see how that is better, using a voice to communicate technical issues, but I will try and provide an update.
But in meantime if anyone has a clue where to look. It almost feels FW is reloading modules or itself behind the scenes.

  • Error message multiple times a day: application net_rim_bb_vvm(180 is not responding; process terminated

I have a Style 9670 running OS6 on the Sprint network.
I upgraded to this phone about a month ago. approximately 2 weeks ago this error:
application net_rim_bb_vvm(180 is not responding; process terminated.
at first it was every 2-3 days. its now happening 2-3 times a day. Sometimes I can hit the ok button highlight and can continue using my phone, but as of lately more often than not, I must pull the battery as the phone locks up.
BB support was unable to help. Sprint my carrier has been unable to help and wants me to drive another 30 miles to a "tech store". Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advanve.
    FEAR is an ILLUSION

Hello ScottZski and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
This message is indicating an error with your device software. An application is not able to function properly and it's causing your device to error out.
    That being said, it's fixable
I am going to assume you have the Desktop Software installed, seeing as you said you did an update recently. Back up your device data before we begin.
After your data is backed up, follow the steps in KB11320 to reinstall your software. Once the reload is completed, do a test to ensure the error is fixed by doing a reboot of your BlackBerry by removing and reinserting the battery.
When you go to restore your device data, it is recommended to do an essential data restore (such as your Contacts, BBM, Email, SMS). To do this advanced restore, follow the steps in KB23680.
You will need to also need to resend your email service books to resume email delivery. KB15402 will show you how to resend your service books.
Let me know how you make out.

  • Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app (59) is not responding; process terminated

    Hello:
So, this is the error message that won't go away:
Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app (59) is not responding; process terminated
In the 18 months that I've been attempting to use my BlackBerry Storm 1, it appears every few days.
Between that and the status icon that spins for minutes on end, I find that the smartphone that I should love is the device that I utterly dread trying to use.
From January 2009 to December 2009, I was calling Verizon for support two to three times a month.  From calling *228 to updating the software, nothing has made my Storm something I can count on.  After the December calls to support, I pretty much gave up.
The entire time I've been typing this very post, the status icon has been spinning (after pressing OK to the uncaught exception error message).
Any thoughts on what might resolve the error message and/or minimize the status icon spinning are greatly appreciated.  Removing the battery seems to be the only "solution".  But, if that's a solution, i wish I'd known what i was in for before investing in this device.
I hope your experience is better!

    Hello !
    Try the following:
Simply delete all the  Messenger apps (Yahoo, MSN or Live) which you might have upgraded recently / delete apps which were recently installed before the error which actually started occuring .
After that unplug the battery while the phone is still "on" and restart the phone.
In fact I had deleted a whole bunch of apps to facilitate my OS upgrade as I did not have enough memory on my Device.
This not only helped solve my above mentioned problem but also made my phone restart in less than 3 minutes (the earlier reboot was done in not less than 15  minutes !!).
Therefore my conclusion as from the above incidents is to keep your apps in the bare minimum so that your phone performs to the best.
    Hope this resolves your Problem!

Touch and hold the icon until the icon begins pulsating and tap the trashcan.
Reboot: On the side edge volume keys, press and hold down both of the Up and Down volume keys for about 20 seconds, ignoring the initial screenshot message... the screen will go black and reboot.
