i cannot access my email setup account as I enter my email address, that is [email protected] (16 characters) as a message appears that it is invalid as same must be at least 4 characters long?!?!?!?!?!

hey i don't know much about IDM 8.0
but can give you idea about working of same in IDM7.1
see...if u are using OOB registration form...then the default form it is using is SPE Enrollment Main Form. here it checks whether validation required or not.
As per configuration (by default validation required is true) it send u the validation form or direct registration form.
i think as per your requirement i suggest you should disable the validation. you can do this by setting
<Attribute name='validation'>
            <Object>
              <Attribute name='enabled' value='false'/>
            </Object>in SPE User Pages under Generic Objects in BPE (by default value is True).
Then it will directly land you the other registration page and you can directly register there.
If you need validation and make it useful for chinese people :-)..then you can change the validation rules under SPE End-User Pages Library. (for this validation value should true under configuration)
Also there are other rules which you can change as per our requirement.
Hope this much information will help you.

Invalid new password (must be no more than {0} characters long)

Hi,
Our EP UM data source is a SAP System where the limitation is an 8 Character password (although I understand that will increase when we upgrade). When a newly created user changes their password from the Log-on page we get a returned message of
"Invalid new password (must be no more than characters long)"
Is there a parameter that can be changed to show 8 instead of ?
I see that error message is created in a JavaBean but it calls a core sap library, not to sure if it would be wise to play around with that.

   you can specify length of the password here.

Hi All,
When logging into my Apex as admin ( https://server/apex/apex_admin ) , I was asked to changed the password which I did but then I received the error "New password must differ from old password by at least 9999 characters". Apparently I made some wrong settings in the password policies before, but now I am stuck. I have the admin password, but I cannot go pass the change-passsword page.
Is there a way that I can reset the password policy from the command line ?
My Apex is 4.2.2 on Linux RHEL 6.3.

Even though things switched over via DTM, it sounds like something on your carrier side has not yet fully switched over. I suggest you contact them for formal assistance as they manage your BIS account and need to ensure that things have properly shifted over on their side.
FYI -- the credentials it is asking for have nothing to do with your email accounts. These credentials are your BIS account credentials (the account I mentioned above). BIS stores all of your email credentials so that it can perform as true PUSH from the perspective of the BB. But, to protect those, it further has credentials to get into the BIS account itself...and these are the credentials it is requesting.

Error: You must have at least 1 Easy Setup File?

I just upgraded from FCE 1.0.1 to FCE HD v3.0. I have Quicktime 7.4.5 & OS X 10.4.11
When I launch, it takes forever because it's trying to load all my audio plugins into it and then at the end of that I get this error message:
Unable to start Final Cut Express HD. You must have at least 1 Easy Setup file. Please re-install Final Cut Express HD and try again.
Since it takes so long to install and I've already done it twice now...to no avail mind you...I was wondering if a guru or enlightened person would fill me in with what's going on and what I might do about it?

You may as well get rid of everything as we don't know where the problem lies.
This says FCE 2 but it is for FCE 1.0.1 as well. Remember many of the FCE 3.0 and FCE 1.0.1 files will be the same/shared.

When you reinstall, do not install FCE 1.0.1.
Simply install FCE 3.0 and you will be asked at some point for the FCE 1.0.1 serial number as well.

I found http://wesunsolve.net/bugid.php/id/6595253 that is a bug of mkfs without workaround. Is ZFS what I need now?

Well, to fix the bug you referred to you can apply patch 141444-01 or 141445-01.
However that bug is just regarding an irrelevant error message from mkfs, it will not fix your problem as such.
It seems to me like the minimum value for nbpi on a multi-terabyte filesystem is 1048576, hence you won't be able to create a filesystem with more inodes.
The things to try would be to either create two UFS filesystems, or go with ZFS, which is the future anyway ;-)

Query SQL code gets deleted after export to Excel. "Query must have at least one destination field"

I'm getting really frustrated by this Access error. It happens when I export the result of a query through an Access macro to Excel, the first time it runs well but the next time, there is a chance that the query won't run and the error "Query
must have at least one destination field" will be displayed. After that, I try to check the query SQL code and discover the code has vanished. I'm using simple Select query without joins, only "where", "group by" and "order by"
statements.

I have a solution that used to contain one SharePoint 2010 project. The project is named along the following lines:
<Company>.<Product>.SharePoint - let's call it Project1 for future reference. It contains a number of features which have been named according
to their purpose, some are reasonably long and the paths fairly deep. As far as I am concerned we are using sensible namespaces and these reflect our company policy of "doing things properly".
I first encountered the following error message when packaging the aforementioned SharePoint project into a wsp:
"The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters."
I went through a great deal of pain in trying to rename the project, shorten feature names and namespaces etc... until I got it working. I then went about gradually
renaming everything until eventually I had what I started with, and it all worked. So I was none the wiser...not ideal, but I needed to get on and had tight delivery timelines.
Recently we wanted to add another SharePoint project so that we could move some of our core functinality out into a separate SharePoint solution - e.g. custom workflow
error logging. So we created another project in Visual Studio called:
<Company>.<Product>.SharePoint.<Subsystem> - let's call it Project2 for future reference
And this is when the error has come back and bitten me! The scenario is now as follows:
1. project1 packages and deploys successfully with long feature names and deep paths.
2. project2 does not package and has no features in it at all. The project2 name is 13 characters longer than project1
I am convinced this is a bug with Visual Studio and/or the Package MSBuild target. Why? Let me explain my findings so far:
1. By doing the following I can get project2 to package
In Visual Studio 2010 show all files of project2, delete the obj, bin, pkg, pkgobj folders.
Clean the solution
Shut down Visual Studio 2010
Open Visual Studio 2010
Rebuild the solution
Package the project2
et voila the package is generated!
This demonstrates that the package error message is in fact inaccurate and that it can create the package, it just needs a little help, since Visual Studio seems to
no longer be hanging onto something.
Clearly this is fine for a small time project, but try doing this in an environment where we use Continuous Integration, Unit Testing and automatic deployment of SharePoint
solutions on a Build Server using automated builds.
2. I have created another project3 which has a ludicrously long name, this packages fine and also has no features contained within it.
3. I have looked at the length of the path under the pkg folder for project1 and it is large in comparison to the one that is generated for project2, that is when it
does successfully package using the method outlined in 1. above. This is strange since project1 packages and project2 does not.
4. If I attempt to add project2 to my command line build using MSBuild then it fails to package and when I then open up Visual Studio and attempt to package project2
from the Visual Studio UI then it fails with the path too long error message, until I go through the steps outlined in 1. above to get it to package.
5. DebugView shows nothing useful during the build and packaging of the project.
6. The error seems to occur in
CreateSharePointProjectService target called at line 365 of
Microsoft.VisualStudio.SharePoint.targetsCurrently I am at a loss to work out why this is happening? My next task is to delete
project2 completely and recreate it and introduce it into my Visual Studio solution.
Microsoft, can you confirm whether this is a known issue and whether others have encountered this issue? Is it resolved in a hotfix?
Anybody else, can you confirm whether you have come up with a solution to this issue? When I mean a solution I mean one that does not mean that I have to rename my namespaces,
project etc... and is actually workable in a meaningful Visual Studio solution.

If there is an error such as wrong picture size or a problem with the media files I would expect you to get an error message fairly quickly. If the submission is accepted you should get an email acknowledging it.
After that the podcast has to be assessed, which requires human intervention, and there is no fixed time for this to happen - it presumably depends on how busy they are at the time. Probably two weeks at the least, but it can be more.
Once accepted you will get an email giving you the URL of the iTunes Store page.

Hello, group,
How do you validate a set of checkboxes, one per table row, in which the user must select at least one?
We have a page containing a dataTable, each row of which represents an object, one of whose attributes is "active". Our requirement is that at least one object must be selected as "active" by the user.
How do we validate this?
I'm considering the following:
(1) Put a validator on each checkbox that simply increments a count in a request-scoped bean if the checkbox is checked (and always returns success).
(2) Put a validator on a hidden field at the bottom of the form that requires the count be greater than zero.
Is there a better way? (Will this even work at all? :) )

I would actually need the multiple row selector, I think, since the requirement is at least one. I see there's no "validator" attribute, but I assume we could just hang a f:validator off of it (or write our attribute and submit a patch!).
