  • Reloading BlackBerry Email Setup Application

    Hi,

I don't want to step on Boomer56's toes, but you've been without a response for six hours so I'll take a shot at it.
If you plug your phone into your PC and open Desktop Manager, you can reload your current OS from there.  First, open Desktop Manager and do a data backup of your phone.  Once that's complete, click Device at the top of DM and Update from the drop-down menu.  You might be told that your phone is up to date.  At the bottom of that box, it'll show Show Other Versions.  Click that and make sure your current version is the one that's checked.  Keep it checked and click Update.  This will re-install your current OS, along with all the bells and whistles it came with.

  • Can't setup my BB PlayBook Device :S

    Hi,
I got a new BB Playbook, but can't set up it (can't accept the agreement when login for the first time). The reason: no countries apear in the list:

The EASIEST solution... go to some local WiFi hotspot like a McDonalds or a Starbucks.
Fire up your Playbook and perform the initial setup. It'll be simple from there.
The reason is, you're not yet connected to your WiFi which probably has some preshared key or password.

  • HOW TO RESET BLACKBERRY ID FROM A USED PLAYBOOK

Hello i bought a second hand playbook with a blackberry Id already registered in it, with the email of the previous owner, so if i try to modify or cancel the actual Id i need to put in the password set by the previous owner but im not able to contact him anymore...is there a way i can cancel this ID and make a new one?
    Thank you

You have to start again from scratch.
If you have access to the Playbook settings, go to Settings, Security, Security Wipe. That will remove all data from Playbook and put you into the out-of-the-box setup. Use any valid email address for your Blackberry ID, or use your existing Blackberry ID, in the setup procedure. You will then have a new Playbook. You will not have any access to Apps bought by the original owner.
If you don't have access to the Playbook, entering the password wrongly ten times will start off the wipe.
Make sure you have access to the email address you choose for Blackberry ID and write down all your passwords. Set a password for access to your Playbook once you have it set up.
Please no Mary Poppins statements about how I just told the questioner how to "steal" a Playbook. It's all documented.

  • Blackberry weird setup

Hi I switched my phone off for the night on Friday (3 apr) and now when I switch it on again the next day it says that my phone has to be connected to wifi in order to complete "setup " my phone always stays connected to wifi and mobile network so I don't know what the problem is. I can't move on from this problem and I tried switching it on n off again several times but it keeps popping up. I can't even use it at all now. Please help urgently

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Hmmm...sounds bad. Sounds like your device has wiped itself during the power off. Unfortunately, it meets what this KB describes:
Article ID: KB36747 All data is deleted following a manual restart of the BlackBerry 10 smartphone and a blue LED is displayed during boot up
More unfortunately, you need to indeed be on WiFi to finish the configuration and proceed to the remedy above. So you need to get on WiFi in order to proceed.
    Good luck!

  • Blackberry email setup

Hello I've recently changed networks and when I try to re activate my email I always get an error message saying 'update failed' and I don't know how to sort out this problem coz all my email details are correct. Please help.

One method that has worked wonders in the email setup department is typing www.blackberry.com/integrate in your phone's browser and setting it up from there.
Let us know if that helps you.

  • Blackberry Emails Setup

How do I set up a blackberry email so I can use the blackberry messenger?
someone told me to click on the icon that looks like a letter and globe but i have a different email address setup under that icon..
    thanks!

Try going to the Alltel BIS site here. Click the create a account button. Afterwards you can add your existing email account, afterwards new emails should start coming to the device in 20-30 mins. But you'll get an email on the BlackBerry indicating that it was successfully setup.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Initial setup, including any forced updates by your carrier, cannot be bypassed. The only way to avoid it is to load the OS that is being pushed via AutoLoader (or a more recent one) instead, and then start over.
    Good luck!

  • Blackberry Email Setup won't load correctly

Okay, I have been unable to get mail on my Blackberry Curve 9330 for some time. I have this phone under Verizon. quite awhile back during one of the updates not the last the one I did today or the last one but probably the one before it I'm assuming one of my email setups didn't directly download right causing it to screw up. It has nothing to do with resets on my phone I have tried numerous times resetting it and it doesn't work. Everytime I go into email setup, I go to Setup>Email Accounts>Internet Mail Account and then either it just freezes at the screen, or just goes back to the "Select the feature you want to set up screen" everytime. I have tried going into Service Books to try to send service books but it doesn't give me the option... I am unable to get into my Blackberry Internet Service account because I cannot remember my password - and I have done password restore or whatever and it said it has sent to my phone - but I have got nothing sent to my phone, so I'm wondering if maybe it got sent to one of my old phones? I don't remember or know but I'm really tired of not getting email on my phone so if anyone could help that would be grand!

Contact the service provider that's all I can say * click the solution button*

  • Cannot see Bridge folder on BlackBerry's SD Card in PlayBook Bridge Files

I have learned that when downloading a file through the messages app on the PB, the file is stored in /Media Card/BlackBerry/documents/Bridge.  These files are accessible on the BB through the email the attachment came in.  However, I cannot access these files directly through the Bridge Files app as I cannot see the Bridge folder on my SD card.  However, if I download an attachment from my BB and select Store on Media Card, it is stored in /Media Card/BlackBerry/documents/ and is fully accessible from the PB.
Any ideas why I cannot see the Bridge folder from the PB? Is that by design? I know it is hidden by default, but I make it visible so it shows in the BB's Files app.  If I rename the folder to Bridge2, it is fully accessible on the PB and subsequently loaded documents are in a newly-created Bridge folder, which is again hidden by default.
    BB9900 OS 7.0.0.503
    BES
    16 GB PB 1.08.6067
PS - FWIW, I had this same problem on my 9700 also on a BES, so I don't think it is an OS 7 issue.
    Thanks!

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this. The linked support article addresses the issue directly (thank you both), but the method recommended there (importing the entire AVCHD folder structure) didn't solve the problem. The small number of videos that iPhoto could not see originally also did not get imported, though the ones that it could originally see, did. Luckily since the percentage seems to be small (~10%), it is not prohibitive to open them one by one in Quicktime, re-export them, and then import them into iPhoto. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future. Thank you all for your suggestions.

  • Blackberry email setup where are..

I just got my blacberry and i have added 4 email accounts and one of them is the blackberrry email account  Looks like this "[email protected]"  I have sent messages to this email address and hear my BB chime when the msg comes in but whn i check it says at the top in the blue color strip *No Messages* and its the same for three other email accounts i have set up too. and at the top it shows that i have a yellow envalope that shows i have unanswerd messages but i cant find anyplace to get them WTF where are they at?

The enterprise activation is usually only for individuals who have their devices issued to them by an organization running a BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
You may have to preform a clean wipe at some point but first try doing a hard reset (this KB will give you guidance how to do this), deleting and reintegrating all the emails except the [email protected]  This article will help guide you with removing the accounts and this article will help you reintegrate them.  If that fails, then most likely trying a clean reload of the operating system will have to follow.
