Blackberry is inputting 000000000000 by itself in phone

Hopefully someone has this problem too.  My blackberry has now decided that it will dial 0000000000000 all the time.  I have removed the battery several times, but once the home screen appears, it just starts typing 00000 until the field is full.  Also, when I'm on a call, it will start typing the 0000000 again and you hear it as if someone is pressing on the "0" key, but I am not doing anything.  Any help will be really appreciated.

Sounds like that key is stuck on your device. I would recommend taking your phone in to your carrier and having them look at it.

  • HT1688 i got the unlock code from at&t but i don't know how to input the code on the phone to unlock the iphone 4s

i got the unlock code from at&t but i don't know how to input the code on the phone to unlock the iphone 4s

There is no "unlock code". If you legitimately unlocked your iPhone via ATT, you will get an email detaling the unlock process, which involves connecting to iTunes. Follow the directions in the email.
If you used one of those web sites that promise an magical "unlock code" you probably got scammed.

  • How to input pictures  from Motorola RAZR phone to iMac

    Hi Guys,
I would like to know how to input pictures from my RAZR phone to my iMac. I used a USB cable that I ordered from AT&T and nothing happened. What software do I need for my iMac?
    Thanks for your help,
    blueheron11

    Hi,
I downloaded Bitpim but it doesn't list RAZRphone V3 as supported. I found the receipt for my phone and it is 4 years old. Bluetooth on the iMac is enabled, and is enabled on the phone. But when I enter "find me" on the phone, it shows it is paired with the iMac, but not connected. Then it says, it is not supported on the phone. I get an error on the iMac that says "An error occurred with the modem. Try reconnecting, if problem continues, verify your settings and contact your administrator." I'm lost.

  • My Blackberry Curve 8520 Keeps Shutting Itself Off...

Moderators, I really need your help.
My Blackberry Curve 8520 Keeps Shutting Itself Off after my power supply got damaged (the cord was cut open and the two small cables were touching each other causing it to spark a little). Now I turn it on and just 5 to 10 seconds later it shuts itself off everytime. The media card is damaged too. Last night I charged its batteries and 5 minutes ago it was already drained. I dont want to lose my contacts, notes or BBM contacts.
Please at least help me diagnose the problem.

    Hi dalstongirl
Have you already sent your BlackBerry in for service?  If not, I would advise checking for any software updates by plugging in your BlackBerry to your PC and going to www.blackberry.com/update
    Thanks

  • Blackberry Pearl- Why it's the worst phone ever made

Here's why I think the Blackberry Pearl is the worst phone ever made.
    1. I can't get photo's off of it. My G1 takes a few seconds. I've worked with this Pear for hours upon hours cannot get my photo's off of it. The Desktop manager really bites too no help there. I really dislike this phone. The software just as bad. I guess they were on the move when Desktop manager was getting written.
    2. The phone on occasions would lock on letters instead of numbers. There wasn't an intuitive way to get it unlocked. I found it more intuitive to get a my return from the IRS than it was to get the phone back to dialing numbers.
I'm having my kids dress up as a Blackberry Pearl for Halloween. I'm going to make a Halloween Movie Freddy Kruger attacks people with Blackberry Pearl the topper scene features unsuspecting Pearl user getting tied up and has them attempt to copy their photos off to a PC and the video gets put on Youtube for Christmas.
    Very unsatisfied with your product.
    Don Quixote

I want to join the fun here and list all the different reasons why I'm very unsatisfied with this phone.
The actual phone part of this phone is pretty slow.  It accepts a phone number almost 3 times slower than I can type it in.  Even typing a name on their handy search bar takes forever to get a result.  If I type to fast, it just ignores a couple of my numbers so I have to delete and retype, at the same super slow pace.  I'm guessing that it searches all sorts of contact and history lists to give me cool suggestions, and that's what makes it so slow.  Either way, it irritates me to no end that the basic reason I have this thing is slow as dirt.
All 3rd Party and Blackberry apps require the Blackberry data service.  Even though there's WIFI on this phone, you simply can't connect to anything except the Browser (and even the Browser requires some setting changes to bypass the upsell screen).  This phone CAN do 3rd party services and other applications without the Blackberry data service, but they just don't allow you to.
Sometimes my phone just turns off.  I don't normally mind the 3 minute boot up process, but when I'm in the middle of something and my phone turns off for no reason, it just compounds my frustration.
The keyboard freezes up all the time.  After a good 1-5 minute "please wait clock", I finally get a message saying there was an error and my input application had to be reset.  Sometimes it doesn't quite reset all the way and I have to pull the battery and again wait for the long boot up process.
Its a little unreliable.  Besides the phone turning off at random and the keyboard freezing, I still have problems other problems.  My bluetooth turns off and sometimes doesn't come back.  Once I had to get a new phone sent to me in order to correct that problem.  Pressing buttons doesn't always get a response, especially the green "call" button.  If the phone is bogged down, it just ignored commands, which is pretty frustrating especially if you press a button and accidently double enter a command that is both the "on" and "off" options.  Also, sometimes the screen fades out (like its suppose to) but doesn't come back when you press keys.  Or the external notifications just don't turn on.  It somestimes just doesn't read my memory card.  The zoom feature on my camera also got stuck.
Other small gripes involve having no caps lock, the SureType never learning from my typing ("Hey" always goes out as "Get"), its overall slowness, the looseness of the back casing, the low quality camera, and so much more.
I don't suggest this phone to anyone.

  • Torch keeps nuking itself - 2nd phone!

    HI Guys,
The phone is a blackberry torch 9800 and im on orange - not sure what software.
Basically, over christmas i smashed my screen so got a new phone through orange insurance. Got it, restored it with my laptop, ran fine. Then i downloaded the new facebook, BBM + ebay apps and it ran fine. then it simply nuked itself, flashing led etc. So i got another one, through insurance and a new battery this time and its done it again!
Any ideas on how to fix it ?

Are you able to restart your device in safe mode as shown in KB17877?
I assume, since it's caught in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the Desktop Software it doesn't take a stable connection to reinstall your software?
If that is case, remove your battery and keep it out when you connect to the Desktop Software. You will get a pop up that the device can't connect and there should be Retry, Update and Cancel buttons. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the current device software version.
When the load is progressing, you will see a step that says "Wait for device initialization". At this point, insert the battery and the reload should complete.

  • Car with USB input - but music plays from phone sp...

    Hi all,
Last week I got a new Nokia Lumia 520. I've had iPhones for years, but since getting an iPad, though I'd have a change of phone.
Our Nissan Quasquai has a usb input which connects straigh to the head unit. I can plug my iPad straight into that usb port and it plays music through the car speakers, with the added bonus of being able to change tracks on the steering wheel.
However, an iPad is a chunky beast and when family are in the car its not practicle. So I thought I'd put some music on my Nokia and see if the same functionality is available. Unfortunatly when I connect it to the car through the usb stick, it plays from the phone speaker, not the car speakers.
Is there a setting I need to change within the phone, or is what I want to do just not possible? My next option is to play with a usb memory stick.
Many thanks is advance for any help and guidence.

there isnt a setting that will allow that to happen.
the phone cannot play audio/video through the usb. it is for data transfer and charging only.
your cars radio integrates and controls your iStuff because it has the software integrated to allow for it.
if you have bluetooth, just connect your device to your car through bluetooth and play it that way.
my pioneer still allows me to pause, play, fwd, etc on my nokia that way. i just cannot go through the menu system.

  • Help - my teenager wants a blackberry and I already pay for three phones!

Looking for help or advice on a plan that includes a blackberry.  i have three lines in family program that cost $153 every month for unlimited text and minimum amount of talking minutes.  they don't talk, they text.  I really don't want to spend any more money each month but she is really hoping for a blackberry for her birthday.  any advice?  any way to save money on this?

    mof wrote:

You said "teenager" - are we talking 13, 16, 18??  IMHO, a 13 or 16 year old doesn't need a Blackberry, but that's just my opinion.  The major advantage of a BB over other smartphones is its efficiency in dealing with email, and the ability to conference via BBM.  You said they "text" - (and I know they do!!!).  Does your teen do a lot with email?  Do her friends have BB's that she would be using BBM to communicate?  If the answer to these is NO, then she probably doesn't NEED a BB.  She may WANT one, but if all she does is a lot of texting, then she may be just as happy with  something that does awesome texting.
However, if she is 18, or 19, and working, and has her heart set on a BB, perhaps suggest you will pay for the data for, say, 3 months as a birthday gift, and she has till then to figure out how to pay for that portion of the bill after that point.  In other works, if she wants the BB, then there is a cost.  And at 18 or older, she xcan be responsible for that cost.
So, that's my advice.  You are welcome to do what you like with it.    We've got 4 kids, now 19 and 20 somethings - 2 have their own plans, 2 still on our family plan and getting the phones that WE say they will have.  They know if they want more, they will pay their own bills.  One daughter has the Intensity II and cares little about data; the oldest son has had every iPhone since it was introduced and has them pre-ordered so he gets it as soon as he can.  But they pay their own, and can do what they like.

  • Playbook Blackberry bridge to browse photos on bb phone

I did update 2.1 for the Playbook.
I always use Playbook and Blackberry Bridge to show my clients photos I have on the phone .
Now the system is more complicated because to see the next picture I have to turn off the remote control and then click again on the picture next click to "open the playbook photography" and so on.
Besides the fact that it is slower through my bb 9810

Just curious - how did you look at your photos before? What was different?

  • Blackberry Shuts Down when I make a phone call or access to the internet

    Please help someone,
I know there are similar question before. I took a look at them. but there was no solution.
    just crossing my finger.
    my blackberry is...
    Curve 9360
    3G wifi
    7.1 Bundle 2102 ( v 7.1.0.746  Platform 9.6.0.112)
Hope it is enough info on my cellphone.
Everytime I make a phone call or use the internet, it shuts down immediately. when I received the phone call as well.
and I need to charge it first and then I can turn on again.
It is not buttery consumption since the buttery sign shows almost full when I turn on again.
I would like to fix and use this phone at least another year. It has been 2 and half years. should work properly more!
    Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone who gave me solutions,
I appreciate all of your help and Im so sorry for late update.
I tried them, but did not work unfortunately. so I bought a new battery for $9 and now it's working very well like a new phone.
I will try to charge battery when it's almost gone.(not all the time) and try not to use phone while it's charging.
I believe that it lengthens cell/battery life.
Thank you again for your help.

  • Blackberry Curve - Shuts Off & Restarts Itself

I've had the BB Curve for almost a year now and I've noticed that recently it takes it upon itself to shut off and restart itself when I'm in the middle of a call..text..browsing my pics..or using any program such as email or Facebook. It did it a few times in the beginning but I didnt think much of it, but now it happens almost 3x a day. It's very annoying. It also freezes CONSTANTLY even if I'm not doing anything on it except trying to dial a number.
I went to the Verizon store today to find out why. Which was a waste of 45 minutes. I recently got a notification to update my system (TODAY) and programmed it to update at 2 am so I could still use my phone. Verizon insisted that the reason it was freezing/restarting etc. was due to this. WHICH IS NOT THE CASE. I tried several times to explain that no, in fact my phone had been doing this before the option to update was available. I then got an annoying response that since the phone wasn't shutting down in front of him, right that second, there was nothing he could do.
Anyone else experience this problem? I've taken the battery out. Don't have many Apps and never leave any of them running. I honestly think I have a faulty phone and they are just being difficult!

Good morning and thank you for all of your replies!
I would be a lot frustrated if my phone kept rebooting, or freezing.  A couple things you can try are clearing the memory on your device, as well as powering off the device daily, (for about 30 seconds).  If you're a heavy data user, we recommend you clear memory once a week. Here are steps to do so: http://bit.ly/HrlMGm
I trust this information is helpful!

  • Why are there no plans for BlackBerry? How are Android and Nokia phones priority over BlackBerry's? Big mistake no? You're excluding a big sector, please advise

I just want to know whey Mozilla is excluding a big sector of the mobile phone community. There are so many more BlackBerry users at least here in the US than Android and Nokia phone users. Please advise why I have to be excluded from using my favorite browser on my BlackBerrry Torch 9800.

We do have plans to create a BlackBerry version of our iOS app, Firefox Home. For details, see http://blog.mozilla.com/mobile/2010/09/28/firefox-home-looking-to-the-future/

    Hello Flowergirl0044,
Have a look at the following article on how to force the detection of the BlackBerry® smartphone using Application Loader to reload the OS http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10144
If the issue still persists after the reload, further investigation might be required. To help further diagnose the cause, contact your wireless service provider or BlackBerry® Technical Support Services for further review and support.
