Blackberry LCD screen broken

So I bought my Blackberry Curve 8900 two weeks ago and today when I had it in my pocket at work I accidently rammed my pocket against something and it made a little tiny dent in my blackberry's screen.  This single dent caused the entire screen to malfunction. Now my entire screen only displays white mixed with a black blur.
So I need a screen replacement, but I don't know where to go to get one. Does Blackberry have a repair service for this? And how much do they charge?

First of all please note that I have absolutely NO affilliation to the following company whatsoever,
and am not recommending or advertising their services as I have never used them, nor do I know anyone that has.
I could not tell from your message, where about in the World you are,
so can only assume you are in the UK, in which case :
A simple search on the Internet for "Blackberry Repairs" brought up the following :
Blackberry Repairs
They are based in London and offer either a Walk - In service, or Postal Repair service.
I haven't got a clue what the cost would be - you'll have to contact them,
but consider that you might be able to claim on your home contents insurance if you have appropriate cover

The LCD screen of my iBook G4 was smashed in an accident. The laptop works fine but the screen is broken. What is the best option for replacing the screen? Is there any option in India?

Since accidental damages are not covered under basic AppleCare or the
optional extended service there; you will have to find a reseller who can
do the work and not adversely affect the remaining hardware. So, to say
they should be qualified in repair as any Apple repair would require.
There is an AppleAsia site and perhaps the link I found there can be of
help in narrowing a search for a qualified reseller / repair center not too
far from your location. India is covered under the AppleAsia region, so
that may be a matter of cost and time; depending on distances and the
cost of parts. Some authorized repair centers may have a second parts
computer, (perhaps with different damage?) and if so, you may get a
break -bad pun- on the cost of a display and lid, plus hinge, etc; when
compared to full retail. But I'd expect a first-rate repair if you go to an
authorized Apple reseller with an adjacent repair center; or one they use.
In some localities, the repair still may be routed to Apple; if they have
no one qualified to do them and if parts availability is limited there.
    AppleAsia: http://www.asia.apple.com/buy/reseller/ (general finder page)
    Apple/India Portable sales/support/service:
    http://www.asia.apple.com/buy/reseller/FMPro
There may be other qualified technicians, but to restore an iBookG4
may be a judgement call; and the total costs not under warranty may
be prohibitive in some locations. I wish you well in your quest...

  • Hp LCD screen broken

My HP computer (LCD) screen is broken but and nothing else on my computer is broke so if I go buy another screen and get an professional to put it in would it cost less
    This question was solved.

It really depends on how much the tech replacing it charges you. Replacing it yourself would be the most cost efficient, but it might prove to be somewhat of a difficult task to do on your own. You could also contact HP at 1-800-474-6836 and ask them how much it would cost to replace and repair.

  • Lcd screen broken

    Hi¡
Today my iphone fell down from a chair and all its lcd screen has been broken in lots of parts.
Can anyone tell me if the warranty cover this accident? and if it doesn´t how much would me cost to repair it?
    Thank you

The warranty, like any warranty, certainly does not cover damage that you do to the product.
The cost to repair on who does the repairs.
You can call your local Apple Store to see if they even do repairs on iphones. You could use the out of warranty repair program to replace the iphone.
Or you could look online for a 3rd party service provider and ask them what it costs to repair.
    "Out-of-Warranty Service
If you own an iPhone that is ineligible for warranty service but is eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service, Apple will service your iPhone for the Out-of-Warranty Service fee listed below.
    iPhone 4 Out-of-Warranty Service
    16GB & 32GB $199
    iPhone 3GS Out-of-Warranty Service
    8GB, 16GB & 32GB $199
    iPhone 3G Out-of-Warranty Service
    8GB & 16GB $199
    Original iPhone Out-of-Warranty Service
    4GB, 8GB & 16GB $199
A $6.95 shipping fee will be added if you arrange service online or by calling Apple Technical Support. All fees are in US dollars and are subject to local tax.
For example, an iPhone that has failed due to damage or liquid damage is eligible for Out-of-Warranty service. However, certain damage is ineligible for OOW service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications.
Apple reserves the right to determine whether or not your iPhone is eligible for Out-of-Warranty service. iPhones that are repaired or replaced have a 90-day limited hardware warranty or assume the remainder of your standard warranty or AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone coverage, whichever is longer. Please see Apple's Repair Terms And Conditions for further details."

  • If I replace my LCD screen (broken) myself. Am I still under warranty for my broken headset jack?, If I replace my LCD screen (broken) myself. Am I still under warranty for my broken headset jack?

    Someone please varify

As the others have said, if you attempt to perform any hardware service on your iPod yourself, you will completely void the warranty. But if the iPod was dropped or otherwise damaged, the warranty is almost certainly void anyway, even for the headphone jack problem. Rather than trying to fix both problems yourself, you may wish to search the net for third-party repair services and see what they'd charge to fix both problems on your iPod. Apple's pricing, for comparison purposes, can be found here:

  • T400 LCD screen black after replecement

    History - T400 (2767-31U), Win 7.
LCD screen broken due to a drop. Laptop still worked with an external monitor via VGA slot and I ordered a replacement LCD.
The replacement finally (used-off ebay) arrived and I followed the HMM manual and replaced the LCD. But it still does not work. I can continue to use the ext monitor without any issues. The replacement LCD was the full assembly not just the LCD screen.
    Here is what I noticed:
    1. When booting up, I see the Thinkpad logo very very faintly before it goes fully black again.
    2. All the LCD panel lights work fine - Wireless, BT, HDD, Battery, Power etc etc including the reading light.
    3. The laptop recognizes when I open and close the lid and switches on the ext monitor accordingly.
Here is what I did (I followed the HMM to the detail):
    4. When I replaced the LCD, I noticed that the original LCD had 2 black wires insulated at the ends originating from the bottom left area of the LCD that were not actually plugged into any area of the MB. I did the same on the replacement LCD and left them as it is. I don't even know what these are.
    5. I connected the other 3 wires(white, grey and black) and the main connector as the original LCD/HMM.
    6. I uninstalled the display drivers and restarted and Win 7 automatically installed the drivers again.
    7. The Most important part - The original LCD when powered on, DID have backlight showing me the mangled area of the screen so I know it worked before replacement.
I have read quite a bit of posts regarding T400 black screen issues, pointing me towards a faulty MB, blown fuse or faulty inverter. I know the replacement is an exact replica of the original LCD.
Could it be that I didn't connect the wires correctly to their respective slots on the MB?
Any inputs would be highly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum!
Do I understand correctly that you bought a complete new LCD Assembly? Do you have proof from the seller that it was working properly before you bought it?
Can you see a picture if you use a torchlight over the panel?
A faint dark picture could be a defective LCD cable, inverter/LED card or a defective LCD backlight. Since you see a picture I would rule out a motherboard fuse problem.

  • Broken LCD screen

My laptop is Envy m6 series and the LCD screen is partialy broken.
There's a long black line shaped like 1/4 circle at the top left of the LCD screen.
    So,
    1. It hasn't even a year since I buy it, can I get a this problem covered by warranty?
    2. If, just if, it's not covered by the warranty, how much is the LCD screen for my laptop?
I really hope that it can be covered....
    Thanks before

Generally broken screens are not covered by warranty since they cannot happen without some kind of trauma. The warranty covers stuff that just wears out or was defective at the time of sale. Some extended warranties from stores will cover cracked screens. To find your exact screen we would need the full model number. Unless it is an odd screen and assuming you can do it yourself it can cost as little as $50 to replace. It is much easier to do that you think and there are lots of youtube videos you can use for guidance.

  • HT201263 My phone screen is cracked and my LCD is broken.  I need to reset to factory settings before I discard it, how can I do this?

My phone screen is cracked and my LCD is broken.  I need to reset to factory settings before I discard it, how can I do this?  I was able to get it into recovery mode, I unconnected it from my Find my iPhone (i couldn't erase that way because I can't connect to WIFI with the screen not working).  I clicked restore iPhone from iTunes, but it's been sitting on "Contacting the iPhone software update server..." for over 40 minutes.  Should I restart this process or is it supposed to take a really long time?  Thanks!

  • Broken iPhone 5 LCD screen.

I recently dropped my iphone 5 face down on the ground. I think that the LCD screen is broken becasue there is black and white vertical lines going down the screen, and then it would fade away. The next minute it is fully functional. Am I right, and if I am, how much is it going to cost to replace?

for an out of warranty iphone 5 at the apple store could be at least $200 and some change..
