Blackberry login item that can't be removed! :(

so i'm getting an iphone4s for christmas (yay) and finally ditching this awful blackberry. i was attempting to uninstall the blackberry software called blackberry device manager by using the installation cd. when attempting to run the uninstaller off the cd it was telling me that the device manager is not installed on my system and there is nothing to uninstall. knowing better than the stupid pop-up, i thought to re-install the software and uninstall again in the hope it would simply remove all found components. no such luck i'm afraid - it told me that not everything associated with the software could be removed. i then considered simply dragging the application from my applications folder to the trash and doing it that way.
however, i notice in my login items under system preferences that an application known as "blackberry device manager (all" is greyed out and cannot be unticked or '-'ed away. i have tried with the user & groups page unlocked. i tried booting in safe mode but it is still greyed out. my next step was to ctrl-click to open in finder and i just stuck the thing in trash (something i am sure i will be told i shouldn't have done) and got rid of it. when rebooting found it still there i then searched my library folder for blackberry files which i have also trashed (another thing as before?). also, the login item is know 'Unknown' (rather than 'application' as before) and ctrl-clicking does nothing.
so, i find it still there and with absolutely no idea how to get rid of it. i have been unable to find anything documented on the internet to do with the uninstall issue i had with the software and the same goes for finding a solution for removing greyed-out login items.
i have recently upgraded to Lion (funnily enough this is why i had been snooping around the login items to prevent the mac from being as laggy as possible at startup) if that is of importance and i'm running a mid-2010, 15" macbook pro.
any ideas or any more info required i'd be really happy to hear from you.

Please post in the Lion forums and correct your system information as it still shows you are using OS 10.6.8.

I am attempting to use F.13 to automatically clear a remittance paying off approx 1,500 open AR items. The job appears to finish normally but the open items are not cleared. Is there a maximum number of open items that can be cleared using F.13 - if so what is the number? All help appreciated.

If there is a limit (which I doubt), it certainly not set to 1500 items. I new projects where daily quantity of open items was 3-4 times more and still the clearing worked impeccably. Try running this job in background and see the log. Also, make sure, that the 'test run' is switched off.

How big do you believe an ATV is? They are tiny compared to most devices.
The ATV is the only AirPlay receiver, short of an actual AV receiver with AirPlay support, but those are MUCH larger.

Is there any limit on Number of items that can be created in SAP Business One 2005B.
We are working for button manufacturer.
Each button will have type,color, size, thickness.
There are about 100 types, 40 colors, 30 sizes, 10 thickness, 500 models.
It looks to be approximately above 30lacs item codes has to be created.
Is there any performance issues or any other known issues towards the large item lists.

There is no real limit on the number of items you can create (well, the item code is a 20 character key so theoretically the limit is the total number of possible combinations of letters and characters in that key).
Performance can be an issue with a large inventory, as well as database size (particularly if you have a large inventory and a large number of warehouses). Some issues such as the speed of lookups can be avoided by changing system settings but other issues such as the speed of inventory reports are inevitable going to take longer for larger inventories.
Have you done any research on looking for SBO addons for the clothing industry? It might be worth searching the CPSN for such addons (ie ones that can deal with sizes, colours etc) as these may help greatly in keeping the number of stock items down to a minimum.

Trying to use WAAD with FIM 2010 R2 SP1 (4.1.3496.0) and during export several objects cause a warning/info with:

I looked, this appears hard coded into the MA, anyone know what causes this? My best guess is something like a large group membership? Does anyone know what the limits around the WAAD MA are?

Hi, of course you can uninstall Firefox, but that should not be necessary since it is a different program from IE, and there should be no interaction between them.

Preferences - Accounts - Login Items : rearrange fails, result is removal

This should be considered a bug report, but =i'm rather new to the apple community (user for a year, but only recently trying to help in forums) i am not aware of a legitimate bug-report tool for apple.
as the subject indicates, rearranging items in the Login Items preferences causes them to simply vanish from the list. I have about 8 items launch at startup, and some of them take a while to load (like iCal) and i'd prefer those to load at the END. the only workaround i've found is to remove them all, then add them one at a time in the order i want them to start up. this is clearly a bug.

You're right, this should rather be considered a bug, as it used to work perfectly well in Panther...
Smart (?) reasons like "this is because of how launchd works" or "sending feedback requires some membership etc..." certainly do not look very "Macish", "user friendly", the way we were used to by Apple's legendary quality.

Why is it when I select my personal preferences/user/login items, that when i select the check box for items to NOT pop up on my dock when i restart and start my macbook air 11 inch that they still continue to?

why is it that every time i start up my macbook air and when i restart it, that the new office with word and those three other apps constantly pop up? even though i went to personal preferences/users/login items, and selected the box that clearly says "items to NOT be brought up when logging in" ?

EDI sales order line items that can not fulfilled and completed.

My requirement
I have multiple EDI customers that send in orders daily where their requirements is that if the ordering item qty can not to fulfilled on the day then the line item in question on the corresponding created sale order needs to be automatically rejected along with a suitable and descriptive reason code.
I'm looking to have this a seamless as possible and don't want to have the user manually review stock, edit sales orders or ATP check as they do now
I've looked at the partial delivery settings on the customer master and customer item but I think this just warns that the customer requires complete deliveries.
I apologise now as SD is not my thing, but if anyone has seen this situation before or has a standard solution I'd be grateful?

Ram has given good suggestion. I would like to add on it.
If the quantity is not availabe put a reason for rejection , this is fine. But we dont need to create a new line item.. right.
Because this way it will pile up line items in sales order..
Instead put the logic in such a way that, when qty is not available put a rejection.
If qty is partially availabe, then process the qty and create a new line item for the remianing qty. ( this is ofcourse if the customer agress on partial deliveries ).
The above is on assumptions that your users review orders which are on rejection and process further.And other assumption is your customer agrees on partial deliveries.
This is how we mapped in our system.Hope it helps.

System preferences have icons that can't be removed?

My system preferences are showing some generic icons that not only can't be removed, but also don't work. Some of them have replaced the "real" Icons for example "Security". How do I solve this problem? See attached screen shot.

Look in the following two directories:
~/Library/PreferencePanes (~ is your home directory)
/Library/PreferencePanes
See if there's anything in there looking like com.apple.security (or whatever that name is on the first line of your preference icons). Or for that matter anytuing with the name "security" in it.
All the stuff above the section marked Other should be coming from /System/Library/PreferencePanes. For exmaple in here you would see Security.prefPane which is the one for Security.

How can I save an image in a pdf that can not be removed using 'Edit Object' feature in Acrobat X?

I have a pdf that has an image of a seal contained it it. I'd like to send the document out to other people but don't want them to be able to remove the seal using the 'Edit Object' feature under 'Tools' in Adobe Acrobat X. Can someone tell me how to do this please? Thanks in advance!

Apply a security policy that prevents editing. This is not a 100%
fool-proof protection, though, but it will work in Acrobat.

How do I add a password to a pdf that can later be removed by a person with only Adobe reader?

I have Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and want to make a password on a pdf so it is safe until the other person gets it. I can make a password without a problem and when she goes to open it, the password is required, but it is not removed and the password stays on the pdf. How can I make the PDF with a password so that once she opens it using the password, she can then take off the protection of the PDF?
She only has Adobe Reader XI.
How can I make a PDF like this, or can I?

Adobe Reader cannot change security options. There is nothing you can do, when creating the PDF, to change this.

What's the Maximum Action Items that can be added in the bottom bar

I am very new to Fiori. I am designing UI for my app and i realized that i have 5 Action Items.
As I know that the Action Items can only be added to the bottom bar(ex Approve,Accept,Reject) according to design guidelines for fiori.
Can somebody please guide me where am going wrong with my understanding. And also help me find a solution to my 5 action items.

Number of work Items that can resie at time

Hi All,
Is there any specific number up to which work items are there in Inbox.In my scenario, work items were there till 3 days back and they weree able to approve.but all of a sudden they are not getting any new work item in Inbox but I see the Items notification.
Also do we need to reset the buffer after some time in Prdouction client.

A couple of things to check. If you are using the Universal Worklist in EP, try using the refresh link and see if this changes the workitems. If this is the case it could be that your BASIS people will have to look at the refresh rate of the UWL. Also ensure the workflows are still registered for use in the UWL.
You reset the buffer using transaction SWU_OBUF, but I cant see how this would be causing your issue. Most likely to be UWL refresh issue.
