Blackberry messenger Chat window issue

Hello all,
I am using a blackberry cureve 8900 and recently I am facing an issue with my blackbeery windows chat, while am I typing in a chat window or reading something in a broadcast, once any other person type something to me the chat just scroll up automatically to the top without me scrolling up, this issue also appears even if someone update their status again the chat window scrolls up, I have restarted my blackberry and also restored it but the problem is still there.

Found a solution in another forum!!
* For Whatsapp:
in Whatsapp's Settings, disable saving the chat history.
Connect your phone to your PC as USB unit. From the PC go to the SD Card and in the "databases" folder delete the Whatsapp folder.
Then eject and unplug your phone, go to whatsapp and enable chat history again. It should work!!
* For BBM and Windows Live:
in BBM and Windows Live Settings, disable saving the chat history.
Connect your phone to your PC as USB unit. From the PC go to the SD Card and in Blackberry/im delete the "history" folder in both BBM and Windows Live.
Then eject and unplug your phone, enable chat history again. It should work!!
If BBM doesn't work, connect your phone again and create yourself the folder "history". I'm sure Windows Live creates it again but not too sure about BBM.
Hope it solves your problem as it solved mine!!

Blackberry messenger chat history not viewable for bold 9700 (onyx) OS 6

As the title said. I have the problem of view chat history for the past few weeks. I have downloaded the latest version of bbm (5.0.3.22). The chat history has always been saved in memory card. There is a link that said "view chat history" in any chat window, but once I clicked it will keep loading for hours to no avail. Is there any solution to this problem?

Blackberry Messenger - Chat history request question

Hi
I am a first timer on here, so please be gentle.
My daughter uses BBM quite a bit, but has recently been acussed of being involved in something silly. I have checked the chat history settings, but they are turned off. So I have now turned them back on to save to the device. However, I want to know how I can go about requesting a history of conversations. Can I do this through Blackberry or through the phone network provider?
I would be really grateful if someone could assist please.

ISSUE WITH NEW VERSION OF BLACKBERRY MESSENGER ON DIFFERENT BLACKBERRY PHONES

Dear Madam / Sirs,
I would like to seek assistance in resolving an issue with my BLACKBERRY TORCH 9810 I installed the new version of BLACKBERRY MESSENGER on my phone and it does not work on WIFI ONLY MODE.
For example I traveled to Mexico and Panama and was on a WIFI ZONE with open access and tried to use my BLACKBERRY MESSENGER and it did not work...I tried to deleting the application and installing a previous version but was not possible. The same issue occurs on a different BLACKBERRY phone that it was working perfectly...but after updating to the new version of BLACKBERRY MESSENGER it did not work.
Please help me resolve this issue.

Issues with Facebook; Chat window problems; can't minimize window , and send chat as message when one receiver logs off.

While using Firefox I have an 2 issues with Facebook chat. 1. Cannot minimize (-) the chat window, only close it (x). When the receiver in chat logs off and a message didn't go through- the option to "send message as email" doesn't work. These have been ongoing problems for several months. I don't have these issues when I use Safari.

I am facing multiple issue while using orkut on mozilla firefox 3.6.13.
I have windows 7 ultimate edition installed on my laptop.
First issue is while i using orkut in firefoz, most of the time chat window will not referesh (as webpage refresh) and all the contact of chat window will get disappear (blank) from there.
second issue is sometimes logout page will get disppear from webpage and that time we are not able to get there while refreshing the page also.

Well, the computer stopped starting up at all. It could never find the operating system. I tried safe mode and virtually every other non-standard start-up option. I then did target disk mode with another MBP and got the message: "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." I then tried using disk utility and it couldn't retrieve retrieve the data using restore (writing to an external drive). I suspect that this means the hard drive would need to be replaced. In your expert opinions, is this necessarily true? Could this still be just a software problem, or perhaps some other piece of hardware?
Part of the reason I ask is that this laptop is now nearly five years old. It's needed a new battery for two years. If it's a virtual certainty that the hard drive is toast, I don't want to pay $150 for someone to take it out and try to recover any remaining data from it, only to reveal that the data is indeed irretrievable (since the computer itself is probably only worth $300-400 at this point). The nearest Genius Bar is also more than 2 hours away. Am I going about this the right way by using disk utility, given that the hard drive won't mount to the desktop of the other computer? If the hard drive can't be reat in target disk mode, does that confirm that it is the hard drive?

Oh also, it does still make the startup noise, even though I can't run the AHT since I can't get it to start up in safemode. I thought this mean that it passing various hardware tests. Does this not apply to the hard drive?

Firefox 8, Gmail chat issue; It ceased working, i can not type in the chat window, although i can get text that is sent to me. ideas?

There seems to be some problem with the Gmail chat
the chat window field in which i type the message seems to not work
i can click on it but can not type
even tried opening the chat message in a new pop up window
and typing there, same result. wont let me type

Blackberry messenger 5.0.0.33 - options to send pics or file or voice note is not available

I updated the blackberry messenger from the pre-loaded version 4.7.1 to the latest version of 5.0.0.33. I was able to send pictures, voice note, and file during a chat session by clicking the trackball to bring up the menu and click "send voice note" or "send picture". This option is no longer there in the 5.0.0.33 even though the user manual indicate this function is there.
Anyone has the same problem? Where can I download the previous version (4.7.1 for tour) and how to re-install the previous version of the blackberry messenger?

You have not updated to the current BBM version...you are on an old version. The current version is 5.0.0.57...

Can't open my blackberry messenger

Hi, I can't open my blackberry messenger. If I restart
it, I can open it. But when I want to search contact by
typing the contact's name, then it's suddenly not
working. It won't. It just won't move and when I press
the 'red' button, it goes back to menu. But when I

Since you just upgraded it, please try instead removing and then reinstalling BBM fresh and clean. Be sure to first backup (locally) your contacts:

Blackberry Messenger: Contact Pending

ok, so I figured out how to get the PIN and send an inventaion to a friend for the Blackberry Messenger. Here's my problem... I have sent multiple invitations to my friend and he has sent multiple to me over the last couple of days, but for some reason when I open the application he is still listed as pending and neither he or myself has recieved the invitaion to actually accept it.
Any tips or tricks to assist me with this issue would awsome!!! Thanks

I double and even triple checked the PIN's from both phones and they are correct.
First I opened the the BBMessenger App. and scrolled down to contact and clicked on the track ball, from there I was sent right to my address book. I then scrolled down to my buddies name and hit the track ball again, this is when I recieved the Invitation notice to send to his phone. Unfotunatley the invite hasn't been received and he is still pending
Also, the reason I entered the PIN manually into his conact info on my is because originally when I was in the BBMessenger App and I would try to add a contact I would be sent to the address book. From there I would scroll down to his name and hit the track ball, his number would then come up and I hit the track ball again. A small menu opens that list: Edit, Delete, Send to Messenger Contact, & Full Menu. When I click on Send to Messneger another window opens that states: Select a Contact: *Empty*

Blackberry Messenger "Additional Info" is wrong - I can't correct it

When I first opened up Blackberry Messenger, It asked me to associate a contact with my identity.
It was my first night with the touchscreen keyboard and I unwittingly selected the wrong contact from my list.
Now when I view my Contact Profile and look up "View My Additional Info" it has the information for the wrong contact.
I tried using the "Remove Link WIth Blackberry Contact" from the "View Additional Info" window, but even when I hit "yes" to the warning the wrong information still remains.
How do I change the info to the correct contact? or how do I reset the whole thing? or how do I edit the existing information?

UPDATE The issue seems to have resolved itself... Don't know if it was when I updated the BBM software or when I reset the device by removing the battery... ???

First try looking in every folder making sure to scroll top and bottom.
On the home screen select Show All.
Check that the correct option is specified as listed below.

1. On the Home screen or in the Instant Messaging folder, click the BlackBerry Messenger icon.
2. On the contact list screen, in the BlackBerry Groups category, click a group.
3. Press the Menu key.
4. Click Group Details.
5. Perform any of the following actions:
• To change the group icon, change the Group Icon field.
• To prevent the group icon from appearing on the Home screen of your BlackBerry® device, change the Show on Home Screen field to No.
• To stop sharing your status with members, change the Share My Status Message field to No.
• To be notified when members are added, deleted, or leave the group, change the Notify Me of Changes in Group field to Yes.
• To turn on chat history for the group, change the Save Message History field.

Blackberry Messenger (User Problems)

I'm having issues with a user who seems to take credit for my photo and set it as his contact photo. He refuses to remove it after my asking and I am reporting it as potential identity theft. His Pin is 282F88A2. Thank you and hope to hear from someone who can help.

BlackBerry Messenger does not require a user name or password. Are you referring to your Windows Live email account password or the BlackBerry Internet Service login?

BlackBerry Messenger and Mac

My Father has a blackberry and he sent me a link to download the blackberry messenger so we can talk via my computer and his blackberry, but you can only download it with internet explorer, and I don't have that on my Mac, obviously, so does anyone know any other way to get that same program, or one that will work, on my computer?

Maybe I'm not understanding this correctly but from what I get Blackberry Messenger is a IM client for the phone itself and not a chat client for the computer. You however will need IE on Windows because it uses Active-X controls.
Your Father should be able to install it directly to the Blackberry (by choosing the correct client you want to use as a chat platform ie. Yahoo, Google Talk, AOL etc.).
At least that's what I understand it to be. It's for his phone. You shouldn't have to download anything unless you want to use a chat client you don't already have.
Correct me if I'm wrong though.

URGENT HELP REQUIRED FOR BLACKBERRY MESSENGER ON CURVE 8320

Can anyone out there please help me. I have two invitations to join Blackberry Messenger that tells me where to go and download the software. When I try to download the 4.0 and 4.1 latest software, I get the error message that my phone is not able to do so.
I also tried to download via the Internet and Iget the same error message, can anyone help as I am in love with my smartphone and my wife is jealous that I give the phone more attention than she ever got.
Also can I type mails or send SMS through the Roxio desktop Interface? I do that easily with my Nokia PC Suite but it seems impossible with my BlackBerry.
Please help.

There is no text option in Roxio media manager, it's sole function is to manage your media between PC and BB.
Do you have a data services Package with your carrier, as well as a text package?
