Blackberry Messenger deleted from my phone and cannot reinstall with upgraded version

Hi,
There is am icon on my phone requesting I upgrade BB Messenger but when I tried to do it it failed. Now BB messenger has been completely deleted from my phone and cannot reinstall.
I read that new version is for devices of 4.5 and above. Mine is 4.2. What do I do to get messenger back unto my phone?

My contacts all got deleted from my phone, and was replaced with names and numbers of people I've never met before.

My phone was working as normal, then all of a sudden when I checked my text messages all the names of my contacts got replaced by their actual phone numbers. Blackberry deleted my Blackberry Messenger App from My Phone and Won't Let Me Re-Download It!

A few days ago, my Blackberry decided to mysteriously delete the Blackberry Messenger application I had downloaded on my phone. When I go to Blackberry App World, it shows that the BBM Application had been installed and will not let me re-download it. I have checked every folder on my phone and simply cannot find the app. Please help! I just want to BBM again!

FYI I had to put this link into firefox to reply - because **** back safari just wouldn't register my clicks to any of the links on the post... Despite reloadeing and even restarting my computer. Totally annoying and a massive pain in the ***.
But in terms of my initial query; thanks for responding. But no, this is NOT the cause of the problem. I have auto sync and sync over wifi activated, but have also selected manually manage music and videos. Plus, all of my music and videos are on my macbook, absolutely all of it, so if it my phone was syncing with my macbook everything would still be on the phone. Life would be peachy if my phone jsut copied everything that was on my macbook, but unfortuantely it keeps deleting tracks for no apparent reason.
Any thoughts greatly welcomed, because at the moment i can only conclude that my iphone is crap.

You need to use separate iCloud accounts. This will mean that you can both have your own separate contracts and calendars and put an end to them being deleted by each other.
Whether or not you have a separate iTunes account, is up to you. If you have a separate iTunes accounts you will not be able to access the music, books, apps that have been purchased by the other. This may be exactly what you want, but it also means that you both may end up purchasing the same item.

Will it work to un-install Snow Leopard (booting from original disks) and then reinstall, then upgrade without erasing hard drive on iMac?

I have both a bootable backup exernal hard drive and the original system disks. I have read on these support pages that you cannot get snow leopard freshly installed without erasing the whole whole drive since the original installation disks are older than the current updated version. I have also read here that it is possible to get the system newly installed (though it's wise to have a back up of the rest of your files). I need to know which can work. Is there an un-install function after booting from a different source? If I can get the system filess off the main hard drive and then install Snow Leopard from my original disks, then go through the upgrades, and end up with the rest of my files intact, that would be wonderful. I have all the adobe design premium software on the system with their updates and would like to not spend hours and hours restoring it all. And since I don't know where all the little bits and pieces of the Adobe programs get installed, perhaps it won't work anyway?

That is incorrect. You can install an older version of the same OS over itself. With Snow Leopard and later, unless you intentionally select to erase the drive, the OS removes and replaces all remnants of the current OS and leaves all of your third party apps, personal files and settings intact.

No, there is no way to remove just the OS files from a drive. At least, not in any manner you could call easy. There are thousands of hidden files and folders related to UNIX. Many apps won't even run correctly, or at all, if they're not on the same drive you are starting up to. So trying to separate your third party apps from the drive the OS is on is not a good idea.

If your end goal is to simply get the contents of the external drive onto a new internal drive in a bootable form, you can use Disk Utility to clone the drive, or use one of two excellent third party apps; SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner.

I have two phones that were sync'd accidently on itunes and both were sync'd to icloud too apparently. The one phone then deleted some of the contacts - now both phones have lost those contacts. What would be the steps to get the phone contacts (not from the computer) back on one of the iphones. it does show the phone was backed up over two months ago - can I restore to that back up and how? If you really want your contact back and you did not do another iCloud backap since you deleted some of your contacts, you can do a hard reboot on both devices with iClouded contacts by holding down the home and lock buttons on each of them for 10 seconds ignoring the slide to turn off thing. Make sure you have iCloud contact services off before doing so. You can then go through the whole set up process until you get up to the backup part. You then press to restore from an iCloud backup (make sure you choose the right backup for the right phone). If you didn't make an iCloud backup before the contact incident, you will have to use your two-month-old iTunes backups. Each phone should have their contacts the way they were from your last backup. You then go into Settings>iCloud>and turn off contacts. You then can choose if you want to keep your current contacts or not. Turn this off on both phones just incase you add another iCloud device to the mix later on. Now your contact lists are no longer linked (Caution: side effect may include lack of edit button). You may now add and delete contacts as you please without it happening on your other phone.

Did you fail to import your photos before updating? If so, then they are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup. If that fails then they are gone. You should regularly import photos to your computer, most especially before any update.
Did you fail to transfer any purchases on iphone ( that were not on your computer) to your computer before updating? If so, then you will have to redownload:

I deleted a contact from my phone and it synced with all my other devices including my Mac. However, I have setup time machine and have many previous backups. Can I open or use a file in back ups to get my contact back? Where and which one? Thanks!

Bring the Contacts window forward, then enter Time Machine and scroll back to a snapshot that includes the contacts you want to restore. Select the contacts and click the Restore button in the lower right corner of the screen.
If you don't have a Time Machine backup, but your contacts are all on iCloud and haven't been overwritten, then you can recover them by following the instructions on this page. Double-click the downloaded file to import it into Contacts. This procedure will not work if you've synced an empty Contacts database to iCloud.

I bought an app from the app store and have played it a few times since, but today it opens goes to loading screen then closes itself after about 30 seconds. I have deleted the app from my phone and then reinstalled it but it still has the same issue.

If you have a Mac with iPhoto, plug the iPhone in and open iPhoto. Choose to import the photos. Once they have been imported, there should be an option to "Remove Imported Photos from Device". Choose this.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.
