There's certainly more than what's on this list coming to BlackBerry 10.3 as we know from some leaked info, however that stuff remains unofficial. Things such as the ability to adjust your Active Frames and move them around, a new device monitor app and more have been otherwise noted but in this case, not confirmed to be final.

Sounds like your friend didn't disable iMessage on his/her iphone before switching. Have your friend do the following:
Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Log in if not already logged in.
Click on "edit products"
Click on the "x" to the right of his/her old iPhone.
Click "unregister"
This should unregister it with the iMessage server, which will allow you to send texts as normal SMS.
On your iPhone make sure you have Settings>Messages>Send As SMS set to ON.

Google Play Services is not supported on BB10.
The only option available is something called Lucky Patcher. It takes a few extra steps but I've been successful in getting some of these apps to work after patching the apk with Lucky patcher.

BlackBerry OS10 and BT Email conflict

Strange behaviour from BT email server and BlackBerry OS10 that has been confirmed by tech at my mobile provider
BTinternet.com email address has a conflict with BB10 (specifically BB Q10). On setting up BTinternet.com email account on Q10 I have received email from BT server - but no subsequent email arrives on BB

I'll keep watching for a used copy somewhere and then give it a try. I bought Sims 2 and Sims Universities at a pawnshop for $2 bucks each and never really played them. My sim would always get depressed and not want to work or do anything.

So, with 10.3.0 and 10.3.1 now officially released on the Passport and Classic, let's look forward!
What feature request(s) would you like to see included in future updates, say OS10.3.2 and beyond? Of course, there's nothing official to this thread, but one never knows who might view it and get an idea or two to move foward.
Please post your feature request below, and let's make sure BlackBerry has a good reference point for user-input on what we'd like to see.
Let's simple short statements AND please add the value of your request (i.e., why that feature request has value to you):
Ability to lock the volume keys (since they are so easliy pressed when retrieving from holster)
Implement a shutdown confirmation screen to the top edge power key before shutting down (many pocket carrying users complain of device shutdowns in their pocket).
Allow BlackBerry Protect to automatically backup and restore personal data, such as contacts (I trust BlackBerry to protect our data and other third party apps can do this already).

Cool! I was waiting for this, there are a few things I would like to see.
OS
- No frames option (for the people that want this), this means that you swipe up it will never go to a active frame
- Keep swiping to close, when you keep swiping up it will close the app/frame (like on playbook I think it was)
- Auto reboot, choose a day, time when your phone restarts (and unlocks after reboot) this is nice for people that want their phone to reboot when they sleep so they have a fresh start and don't have to reboot during work day
- Alternative keyboard, everyone knows the BlackBerry keyboard is awesome.. but allow developers to create own keyboards (native, no android port)
- Themes, One reason why people jailbreak iPhone or use Android or loved BBOS. Themes that will totally transform your phone, keyboard, colours will be nice for people that want to customize their device
- Font type change, this was possible in BBOS. Some people like to have a different font.
- Completely light OS, this is something personal; some people like dark theme, some people like light.. but with the latest BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 it is still mixed up, some parts are light some parts are dark. When selecting light theme everything should be light, all core apps, buttons, everything, when you select dark everything will be dark, and then there will be a customize option where you can set it for each app (core apps and layout) how you want it
- Show date, time, signal always on top-option, Remember.. screenshots on internet are shown a lot, when posting a screenshot of a BlackBerry 10 app nobody knows its BlackBerry, with BBOS you always had time, signal, on top people knew it was a BlackBerry and would be nice to get this back, plus no need for swiping up to see the time

- Able to create filters, example move e-mails from this person to this folder, and give them this colour or move everything with this word in header or subject and delete it forward it and more.
- "Out of Office", able to set out of office for work emails / accounts as automatic reply
Hub
- More colours, now there are only a few
Keyboard
- Emoij button on the keyboard (including special characters)
LED
- More led colours and settings
Cloud, Sync and backup
- Create backup from your device instead of BlackBerry link and backup them to any cloud storage (or blackberry cloud)
- Sync bookmarks and settings with your BlackBerry ID
- Sync remember with your BlackBerry ID
- Sync Wi-Fi networks and passwords with your BlackBerry ID
- BlackBerry Cloud storage (5 or 10GB free and pay for more?)

- Webblend access your phone from a secure BlackBerry website so you don't have to install any program on a computer you maybe will only use for one day.

- Multiply login, access BBM on more devices (including a web version) at the same time
- PIN transfer, take your BlackBerry PIN to your new device. I really liked my old BB pin but when I sold the device I lost it, it would be nice to be able to "keep" my BBM pin or get a personal pin
- Add user my phone number if linked, BBM Pin is awesome but allow users to also add people with phone number so you can give your phone number or pin If my contacts get BBM but forget to give their pin they will just show because I have their phone number

Finally here, some questions please!

Dear all,
After months of holding off and waiting for an update, I finally gave in and got my imac. It is sweet! 3.06 Ghz model, 24" with nvidia 8800 gs plus wirless keyboard/mouse.
I just wanted to ask...
1) I got Apple care. I opened the box and there is only a cd and manual. Am I automatically on the plan or is there anything else I need to do?
2) the Apple salesman told me if i get 3rd part (non-Apple) RAM, my warranty becomes invalid? should I just get RAM at x4 the price from Apple? Or can they not tell if I use 3rd party ram?
3) Does anyone know if my model has a single 2GB RAM stick of 2x1GB Ram sticks? What max RAM can I upgrade to?

Because you required only specific people respond. I would guess that none of them are here. These forums are a user-to-user community...not a vehicle for communications to/from RIM.
Given what you've posted, I'd say that what you received is too good to be true...and hence a scam. But, since I don't fit the criteria you laid out for responders, you will probably choose to not believe me.

I just don't see the point in upgrading right now. I mean only the highest end cards will support tri sli. And I'm not sure that the performance boost is worth the cost of that yet. Right now, I haven't found anything that has slowed down my single 8800gtx Ultra. And man, the manual says to run tri-sli you need atleast 1000w power supply. Thank god I don't live very far from TMI, just run a direct line from the power plant to my computer.
And PCI2.0? How many cards are around that are designed for it? Will legacy cards see any bost from it?
Really, the 780 is a minor upgrade. I have seen boards from Gigabyte that support both ddr2 and ddr3. If the 780i would have this option I might upgrade, but that's still a long shot.
The only major improvement that I can see is that it actually has an X-Fi PCI-Express card which I would assume would be directly supported by Creative directly. This is a huge improvement over the onboard chip which Creative will not support.
Another nice improvement is the back pannel cmos clear button. Looking at the layout of the headers, they finally added more fan headers, 4 system fans plus the cpu. However, the floppy and ide headers are in a very odd place, at the bottom of the board. Looks like they also added another external sata port and dropped the internal hardware raid (probably because it didn't work). Another note is looking at the board layout, there are led lights everywhere. I'm not sure why you would need a light on each card slot, but it has one, along with each memory slot. If I'm pulling memory or cards, I don't think I'd have the power on to light them.
So anyway, that's my quick review of this board. I think I'll just wait until nVidia comes out with a true major upgrade.
Interestingly, MSI has not updated the supported cpu yet so while I would think this board would support the new yorkfields, it's hard to say for sure yet.

Tethered shooting for canon FINALLY here...but

has anyone found a way to shoot to mac AND card? on a 5DII....

BTW - in case anyone is wondering, I've tested this... Canon T1i does work with tethering. (this camera is natively supported by Aperture for purposes of tethering)
For any cases where there is a camera which is not supported directly, there is also a work-around which should work for almost any camera.

Look for a plug-in called "Aperture Hot Folders" (direct link is here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/automator/aperturehotfolder.html?cmp )
The plug-in monitors a folder (of your choosing). Any image which shows up in that folder will automatically be imported into an Aperture project (it's on-the-fly). Essentially you'd use the Canon EOS Utility to do the tethering, which requires that you pick a target folder where it'll save all pictures you shoot during the tethered session. You then tell Aperture Hot Folders to monitor that same folder and import any images found into an Aperture project. It gives you the ability to create tethering support for any camera that can do "tethering" even if Aperture doesn't directly support the specific camera (by using the manufacturer's own tethering utility.)

Importing photos from SD card to Blackberry OS10 device

Is there a way of importing photos from SD card directly to Blackberry Z10 using card reader and USB OTG cable (ie. not using a PC ) ? My camera has no WIFi or NFC. Thank you.

I don't understand You clearly, I think. Why do You need cardreader if Z10 just has SD slot? Anyway, Z10 hasn't USB OTG at all. Z30 and Passport only have that feature.

The iPhone 5 is Finally Here!! Some Questions About My First Smartphone

I do not see any personal set-up or mini class advertised with the iphone 5 purchase webpage. Does anybody know if theyare not offering this initially or at all? Does the new adapter come with the iPhone 5 or is that extra?
For Verizon customers who are not in contract and ready for an iPhone 5, can they purchase one from Apple.com, and when it arrives at their door, bring it in to the Apple Store to get help with the personal set-up? And also help with setting it up with a Verizon plan?
I am assuming this iPhone has the personal mobile hotspot. Has this been a good thing on the other iPhones because I wuld like to get this activated and get a plan that allows me to use it. any suggestions on a Verizon plan that allows me to do this?
I did not see when they are available in-store. Is that an option that I should consider if I do not mind waiting in lines. Anybody know when this starts? The pre sales starts on9/14 and ships on the 22nd?

In Playbook we can have a single character password, why not on BB10? "too short" well it is my decision, isn't it?
There is no way to go next/previous while reading an e-mail. Please add these functions.
Add to the e-mail client, Next Unread / Previous Unread.
E-mail or Hub should have more buttons at the bottom in landscape mode. Why keep only three (or four in e-mail view) buttons when you have the real estate. It would be extremely handy if you allowed users to edit which buttons should go at the bottom. Next Previous is really needed while reading an e-mail. For example I would love to add "File" button at the bottom as a shortcut instead of forward, I rarely forward, but I file all the time. Maybe allow users to have two row of keys, add next/previous/unread. Or it could be done with a gesture. How about swiping the account name (top blue bar while reading e-mail) left and right?
When you create a new contact in BlackBerry, it gets synced to all accounts on the Hub. There is no way to limit the new contact to a specific account.
Sometimes when you file an e-mail to a folder, it stops and waits few seconds with no message. Even when it files immediately, there is a confirmation message that takes time to appear and disappear, and the folder list does not disappear automatically.
Messages filed automatically by server using server side filter rules are still showing up on Blackberry hub/inbox. In older BB versions the filtered messages did not show up in the list, filed messages still did.
When you filter your e-mails using Filter / Unread function, new unread e-mails do not show up until you close the filter and re-open. It won't just keep refreshing your screen with unread e-mails. Can BB add a button to the hub "Unread Hub" so when hub shows 8 or 2, you can actually see unread items easily without having to through so many taps.
Native BB QR scanner (Smart Tags) does not work with barcodes (it only scans with no way to use the information). There is Open In function but it doesn't work properly.
We need to add more customs search providers, and be able to add custom search strings/wildcards. For example currently there is Google, Bing, Yahoo, Foursquare, etc..
I hope BB introduces the ability include more standard & custom searches, IMDB, PriceGrabber, Ebay, Youtube, XYZ Forums, ABC Newspaper, 123 Database, Etc.. Most sites nowadays provide search string in their URL Search=?* etc...
None of the Battery apps can access system settings to add a battery icon to the top. I wish battery percentage was there.
There is no way to check carrier/mobile signal strength.
Blackberry, please add the date and carrier / SSID info to the top. Sometimes we just want to glance at the top to see the date without having to swipe.
Please bring back keyboard shortcuts. Since we can easily swipe up to bring the keyboard, just add keyboard shortcuts in e-mail, phone (true speed dialing, dialing by word?), and browser, etc.. if possible. I could always call 1800SOMETHING# now I have to look up the number or use dial pad.. Please bring it back.
Camera zoom function needs to be fixed, also please include option of fixed focus by tapping on the screen to focus. The auto focus in video is focusing in and out to various objects all the time. Stabilization feature also causes tearing/ripples, I guess it is good if you are stationary. Or use Volume Keys to Zoom.
Please allow more than 12 icons in an icon group/folder, I hated Apple for limiting apps per folder, please fix it.
Auto ON/OFF feature is not there anymore. BB should consider Auto DND (DoNotDisturb) or Auto Silent/Airplane modes instead.
Please find a way to stop the music app from automatically starting up every time it connects to bluetooth like car audio. This is very annoying.
No Panaroma mode in Camera app, why not? It is very easy to incorporate. This could be a nice addition to next release, and easy.
The text selection grips needs to be a little bigger, sometimes I cannot see where I am moving them, they work better in Playbook, nice big tabs.
Call Functions, before answering a phone add sideways gesture functions, like swiping right will forward the call, swiping left will answer with a test message, etc..
Or there should be a way to reject the call without sending it to voice mail, phones had this function a decade ago, I don't know what happened to it.
We used to be able to see the "History" without having to save the contact. Now I don't see any way to "View History" of a certain phone number, it just keeps adding
them as individual entries to the log. Now I can't see when was the last time they called me, how many times we spoke which day, etc... I loved this feature in BB5.
Where is BB Traffic? Where is BB Weather, without having to run an active frame? It will eventually disappear if you run too many apps. I liked a little Icon that shows me what the temp is, instead of running a whole app.
There is no Skype. This day and age with all other platforms having it, please either get skype (Microsoft) to cooperate, or open up BBM to other platforms. If necessary, pay Skype to develop the app, then charge BB users for the app. Most will gladly pay.
Can we tap and hold on an active frame to pin it, or can we pin two favorite apps between Call and Search & Search and Camera buttons in the bottom bar? How about Close All running Active Frames app to quickly free up ram?
I hope next generation devices have two speakers or speaker that is facing forward. When playing games or watching videos in landscape mode, I find my palm muting the speaker. I have to hold it gently with fingers to have a gap in between, something I don't want to do when I am on the subway or bus.
Blackberry Maps should have a Zoom In/Zoom Out buttons, sometimes using it with one hand, it is impossible to zoom in and out. (Zoom in is OK but we can't zoom back out)

- ability to choose deletion of an email on handset only
- desktop software working with all older BB's allowing drag and drop type of transferring data, contacts etc. (BB link doesn't recognize my old Storm)
- auto power on/off
- contacts syncing with yahoo & Outlook (almost two weeks trying to work around it and no luck)

Frequent reboot in BlackBerry Curve 9320

I've purchased a BB Curve 9320 a month ago and have been using it regularly for texting,calls and browsing primarily. Of late I have been experiencing frequent reboots of the phone all of a sudden several times a day.I had installed a few apps but thinking that this reboot issue may be due to the apps, I've deleted all the applications. Please help me out, this is my first BlackBerry phone and I hope that I've not made the wrong choice.

Frequent rebooting problem with Blackberry: Hello my fellow sufferers, here I am going to give you guys a solution for this problem which might work. I have been annoyed by frequent rebooting problem with my Blackberry since last 3 months. Earlier I went to service center and they kept my phone for 2 days, gave it back to me after software updation. But the problem of frequent rebooting didn't solve. I again went to local service center and this time they’d sent my phone to blackberry service center Bangalore. It came after 20 days. It seems that my earlier phone had been replaced by new phone (since my older phone was having lots of scratches all over its body and screen too). Now I was happier to have new phone. But as soon as I started using it (after restoring the backup from desktop software) the rebooting problem started again. So now I went for my own diagnosis to find out the remedial of this problem (by d way I am an engineer  ). I tried each and every combination to find out the root cause. -----------I used my phone in following individual states to know in which condition the problem occurs. 1. Keeping memory card out 2. deleting all third party application 3. keeping my phone in charging condition 4. Switching off the data service, etc. 5. Log out of all social networking apps. What I observed that rebooting problem didn’t occur during phone in charging condition, Facebook log out condition and data service off condition. I have also referred all the forums here regarding this problem. Some of them had suggested few things like keeping paper beneath battery, and data service in 2G mode, etc. I have tried several combinations and finally my rebooting problem seems to be solved. However it is not completely wiped out but frequency is certainly reduced from 50 times a day to 1 or 2 times per 3 days. So here is the combination I’ve tried. 1. Delete the Facebook application preinstalled in your phone 2. Delete all event logs. Press Alt + LGLG. Clear the log, uncheck all values in option and save it 3. Keep a paper beneath battery to hold it strongly. 4. Reinstall the Facebook from blackberry world. Please try out these things and let me know whether your problem is solved or not. But certainly it is the failure of Blackberry that even after huge complains they are to come out with the solution of frequent rebooting. I would never recommend any one to buy blackberry. Useless phone, and useless service.
