Blackberry Pin release problem from Emitac Mobile Solutions LLP
I just bought an old blackberry phone.
Curve 9360
PIN: {REMOVED}
IMEI: {REMOVED}
I want to use the BIS service but the operator just told me that the
PIN is already registered at some different operator and you have to
release the pin from there.
The carrier is Emitac Mobile Solutions LLP.
Please suggest.

You have two possibilities so far as I know.....
Track down last owner, or the owner that had the BIS, have the individual contact the carrier (not yours, the other carrier) and do whatever it takes to get the PIN released.
Figure out the other carrier. Explain the situation. Ask for help.
It's a tall order. I think hope is slim, but who knows.
If the device instead is actually blocked because it was reported stolen at some point, or someone walked out on finishing payments, you have no hope.

And since then, i havent being able to set up more than one email and i subscribed for 4.
I have rebooted\,, sent service books and hard set the phone so many times.

From your post, I cannot quite tell if you did all of this, in exactly this way. Hence, with a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Hi I have a Blackberry 8310 and posted on these forums a while back about pin release. Anyways I've been busy and went into Cex today to get them to contact the previous owner in order for the pin to be released. So they contacted the previous owner and he said he hadn't setup email on it, and that he bought the phone from Cex as well. So there was someone before him that must have setup email. The phone was locked to Vodafone but now I have unlocked it and have an o2 sim. Is there anyway i can get the pin released by contacting Blackberry directly? What available solutions are there to my problem?
return the phone to whom you bought it and tel them to give you a properly unlocked device

I have been trying all week to no avail to get my Blackberry PIN released from the Verizon network, to use with a foreign sim & BIS service. The phone is unlocked but it seems the PIN is locked to a BES service thru a Verizon retailer. I have reached out to Verizon Tech Support & RIM Tech Support & am just getting the run around. Can anyone guide me in the right direction to get help with this? The last Verizon Tech rep I spoke to told me that RIM could assist once I had the SRP code & Subscription code for the original BES. I can not get that & have not found a way around it. If i can get the PIN released from Verizon, I would even consider hooking the phone up with Verizon again once I am back in the USA. Anyone that has any idea on how to go about getting this done for a 9550 Storm, I would really appreciate it. I am trying to hook it up on the Digicel Cayman network while I am here on a job. I have tried everything possible including doing a factory reset & no luck. I still can not get the service books sent or register with the BIS service properly because of the PIN being locked to a Verizon BES network. The phone was purchased thru eBay, after it was purchased from a Verizon retailer (where it was a display phone).

If the phone is locked to a carrier then you will need the carrier to unlock it And only the carrier can do that.

Picture problem from mobile on hpeprint

When sending a picture from my mobile Samsung Wave to hpeprint mail, everything works fine. The picture comes out from the printer and looks good. But when I compare the photo from my printer with the same photo on my mobile, I can se that the top of the head person head are missing a little bit on the photo from my printer. My normal method for transferring photos from a phone would be Bluetooth (using a BT USB dongle if youd don't have bluetooth already fitted to the notebook).
As an alternative it should also be possible to e-mail the photos from the phone although this may not be very effective if there are a large quantity of them.

When my car was in for its 6 month service in July/August I mentioned this problem to the dealer service dept (Northway Honda, Bundoora, Vic)
The person booking the car in told me an update to the software was needed and that they would do the update.

Cannot move from t-mobile to O2 (Help)
I purchased a Pearl from a colleague at work and it was on the t-mobile network
I've had it unlocked to work with any network and have been using it on O2 PAYG for some time
I have now moved to an O2 contract with blackberry data and tried to register my phone via O2email.co.uk but keep getting the message that an account already exists for this PIN
I've spoken to O2 support and they're telling me the PIN is allocated to another service provider (which I already know) and the other service provider needs to release it
My colleague has contacted t-mobile and they are telling him that his account has been cancelled and can't see a blackberry internet account
I've been to the t-mobile BIS site and entered the PIN and requested a password and I get an SMS message saying the user name and password don't exist
What can I do to get the PIN released so I can allocate it to O2?

Go to Solution.You or the seller need to contact TMo and request that the PIN be released from the old account.
This is a common problem when users abandon an account leaving the PIN registered on that network.
While you have it unlocked correctly, the PIN is still tied to the old account.

HI,
I need help. I'm a blackberry user, and now i decided to change my bb 8520 to one 9300... I buy this 9300 used in internet, and the mobile phone is unblocked by original.
Now i contact my internet provider to activate my BIS service in new mobile phone, and the service didn't work. My provider saied that service is ativate, however i can access.. After various contacts, the technical support suggest me to contact the older provider in order to release the pin your software.
Once the mobile phone was buy used, and i already contact the previous owner and he don't know what is the provider, what i can do to resolve the problem...
I'm need this service.. The phone without BIS is "brick".

You are in a difficult situation...buying a used BB is often complicated. From what you say your carrier told you, the prior carrier that held this specific BB PIN in their BIS system has not released it. And, only that carrier can release it...no one else can, not even BlackBerry. Further, many carriers only accept requests for BIS PIN release from their actual account holder...which definitely was not you, and it sounds like it was not even the person who sold it to you. So you have a very big challenge indeed...and it is likely not solvable.
What I would do, if I were you, is review the terms of my purchase of the device. If it was represented by the seller as being able to be fully functional on any compatible carrier, then I would challenge the seller and demand return/refund...the device is indeed not usable, since the BB PIN remains locked to some carrier somewhere (and you have no way to find out which carrier, and even if you could find out they likely will refuse your request to release since you are not their account holder).

Hi Dears,
I got my new Z30 and I tried to switch my old Z10 without luck, so I appreciate your help.
Both devices are identical OS Release (10.2.1.2102) version (10.2.1.2141)
I set up my Blackberry ID in the new Z30
I used BB-Link via my PC and everything started fine and smooth, and I followed all instructions step by step.
Until reaching to step (8 of 9 ) in the BB-Link, a popup windows appear in my Z30 saying “RESTORE IN PROGRESS”
But after 5 seconds, BB-Link cancel the restore process !!!
Also, I tried to connect my Z30 to my PC and restore previous Z10 backup directly through BB-Link, but same issue and message “the operation was cancelled”
One more thing, I noticed that, the BBM is empty and showing message “restoring your BBM information” since yesterday.
I wiped my device and try several time but no luck L,
Please I need your helpIs the new Z30 upgraded with the latest BBM version 10.3?
If not, upgrade that first through App World, then try the Switch Device or restore again.

I have a problem with my Blackberry 8310. I bought the phone from CEX last week and it was locked to Vodafone, i then took it to Vodafone who unlocked it for me. I have now put in my o2 sim and can operate the phone fine (Calls, SMS, Internet, etc.) apart from setting up an email account. When i enter the IMEI and PIN i get the message:
"Cannot create account: An account already exists for this Blackberry device. Please log in or contact o2mailuk"
How do i deal with this? Something to do with pin releasing?vodafone... it is a bis account attached to vodafone... it is or was a customer of vodafone... they have that record somewhere... they need to find that customer and ask them if they got rid of the phone legally and can they officially remove the account. Then they can remove the account. there are only 2 ppl that can do this... original owner or vodafone

I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 from t-mobile. Did anyone install 4.5.53 system software to gain video capabilities? Before I do it I was wandering what kind of problems you encountered, if any. This is the only feature I miss on the 8320. Please, let me know.

I'm using OS 4.5 and till date didn't face any major issue. This OS is much stable then others.

Printing directly from a mobile device that is NOT on a wifi network
I would like to print directly from an ipad, that does not connect to a home wifi connection.
I have read in some forums, that the HP 6520 can create a direct ad-hoc style wifi connection that the IOS device can connect to, but this is not clearly stated in the feature set on this website.
