BlackBerry Protect doesn't show my phone

Hello, I am trying to set BlackBerry Protect for my Z10. I can enable it on my phone side. However, on the web side, it always says: "A device isn’t associated with BlackBerry Protect." and I cannot use all the protect functions shown on the web. I confirmed that my wireless network, location service and BlackBerry ID work well. I tried to disable/enable BlackBerry Protect for many times, and reboot the phone many times. I waited about 1 week, but I still cannot make BlackBerry Protect work on the web side. My OS version is 10.3.2.440. My phone is an AT&T version Z10 brought directly from AT&T in USA. The Support Information on the BlackBerry Protect web shows: BlackBerry Account Email:(my BlackBerry ID)Web Portal Version:1.2.1.93 - scm-1.2.1.93Server Name:kronos.bbprotect.us.blackberry.comProtected Devices:Model Client ID PIN default-1---------- Please help me to solve the issue. OK, I want you to do a couple things, EVEN if you have done these before, try in this order. try this,at Settings > BlackBerry Protect, turn off Protect. Leave it off.Restart: Leaving the Z10 powered on, remove the battery for five minutes and then reinsert to reboot. Give it 2-3 minutes after rebooting for all data syncing to subside, and then,Now, turn on Protect again and after some time see if Protect is working yet.ALSO, have you connected your BlackBerry to your PC with the Link software? If not, please download and do so, making sure you enter your BBID as required in Link.BlackBerry Link for PCSync to your PC with BlackBerry Link, with support for Windows Media Player and iTunes.See system requirementsDownload for PC

Blackberry Protect doesn't "see" my device

Hello,
I received today my new Torch 9860, after my former one had been stolen. Everything works fine except that, after installing BB Protect from AppWorld and connecting onto the website to test it, my terminal doesn't appear there. I tried to reinstall it but same problem. I have also a Playbook which is correctly connected to the terminal and account.
Did I miss or forget something ? Is there a way to "declare" the terminal on the website ?

gotcha. I'm not sure how to delete the ID if you never received the welcome email. That email would have a link to delete it.
Can you update your blackberry ID on uyour device and discard the bad account info?

Blackberry Bridge App not showing on phone

Hi,
Firstly, I realise that this is more an issue for the phone forum, but it relates to the PB so have posted it here.
I have a Pearl 9105 running OS6 (bundle 2646). I had Blackberry Bridge installed on it to connect to my PB, but since an upgrade to version 1.0.7.4 last Saturday the icon has disappeared from the phone. I have tried uninstalling, performing a battery pull, reinstalling and then a further battery pull, but it does not show up at all, though does say in Application Management that it is installed.
Please can someone suggest some way to get it to reappear?

N95 8g doesn't show the phone icon in Recent Calls...

i have home as a contact and as a telephone icon
When i call from my house to my mobile, i can see the number and the telephone icon displaying
But the thing is after the call or missed call, i go to check the missed calls and:
i see: mobile icon Home
Why?????????
it happens with my other contacts
I have my friend X with two numbers, one with a phone number the other one with a mobile number
But when checking the missed calls or Received calls , i only can see the mobile icon even he called me from his house
So, i have to go to options and checked the number
I know i can put every number a contact but i don't want that
i want the icon to show properly like my nokia 6600
i have the latest firmware

it is a well known issue on the s60 devices, its a bug that as of yet has not been fixed. we dont know if it will ever get fixed, we are hoping that that will be the case, but this is nothing new so chances are not very high i think.

BlackBerry Protect a drain on battery...or not???

Does having BlackBerry Protect in "ON" condition create any drain on the battery? If so, is it considered to be significant?

There is no specific Blackberry Protect service running on the phone, however it could be included in "System" power. When toggling the BB Protect on/off, there was no change in the battery usage or no significant change. It's definitely a nice feature to have turned on just in case something were to happen.

BB protect works but doesn't show the location

Hello I have installed BB Protect on my 9320. I have also switched on the GPS and the Wifi too. Enabled the Protect too. But when I log on to BB account, it doesn't show me the location of the device. It says unable to track the location. But everything shows fine in the Protect account on my laptop, like I can even see the current correct battery amount. So it means the device does connect with the account but why does it not show the location. What else can I do. I really need it to be working.
Please help. I will be very very very grateful to you. P.S.: I am with Mobilicity in Canada and the phone was purchased from Mobilicity too. Thank you.

Hi there,
There is an option during the setup of BlackBerry Protect that is required to enable this ability. To fix this, go into BlackBerry Protect on the device, press the BB Menu button and select Options, then make sure Location Reporting is turned on.

Restoring from blackberry protect on my old phone

I need to restore a backup on my old phone from Blackberry Protect, but I do not have a data service since it has been moved on my new Z10. how can I retrieve the data? I do have a wifi connection on the device!

You cannot. On a legacy BB, you must have an active and adequate BIS account so as to have any use of the proprietary services, including BB Protect.

If you have carefully follow ALL of the steps in that article, you are using a USB port directly on your computer and not a USB hub (don't use a front port on a tower or desktop either, as they are an internal hub) and you installed iTunes correctly using an Administrator ID and you have tried disabling your antivirus and firewall then there is no hope of it ever working. Look at the tip again, and go through it carefully, not skipping any steps.
Note, BTW, that an iPhone will not show up on a computer, only in iTunes. If there are photos in the Camera Roll then it will appear in Windows as a digital camera only.

Photos that were synced from a computer won't show for copying to a computer. If you want to copy them back then you will need a third-party app on your phone such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to a device, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer (e.g. their dimensions might be different and their colours may look a bit different).

It appears that you have to buy the applecare within 30 days of buying your phone - you said that your phone warranty is almost over, so when did you buy it??? That could be the explanation for the error.

I have problem when I updated iOS7 yesterday. At first, there was a message popped out in my Iphone 4 said "iOS7 available for u to update, then i clicked "update", then it said "wait while it verifying", after that my phone tuned blank and what i saw was only the "logo of apple". You need to restart the phone in DFU mode and update the software.
To restart the phone in DFU mode press the power and home button simultaneously for like 10 seconds once the phone is switched off release the power button keep holding the home button while you connect to the computer which has Itunes running and then you can restore or update the software, you can download the update and connect after the software has been downloaded if your phone disconnects, And enjoy you new IOS7.
