Blackberry Q5 Woun't Start

i just buy this blackberry q5 2 days ago. First day the screen got blue and it restarted by itselft. And now it wount start up. i've triend to connect it to blackberry link and reload, and push the power button for 10 sec, but it wount start. Please give some advice

Never heard such a probem ! According to me you got 2 solutions :
- change your Q5 with a new one where you bought it
- don't change your Q5 and try to solve this issue by yourself :
- your phone's battery is full ?
- Is your Q5 charging when plugged to your pc with USB ?
- Did you try another USB slot ont your computer ?
- Did you try to delete then re-install the Blackberry drivers on your pc ? It mays solve your issue
Hope you will find a solution

Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

i xchange my battery between my two blackberry torch and my good one continu to work good and the bad one continu to red blink
my phone provider tell me that i need to buy a new one,
someone have a other solution ?

    Hello!
From what you describe, I think you may have done these things, but I cannot tell for sure...
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
If it is your BB, these processes may help:

Of course, if that is true, then there's nothing that can be done. Indeed, it's impossible to accurately diagnose a hardware level issue at this internet-distance.

  • Love my blackberry but really truely starting to hate it!

    Okay,
so I moved from Iphone to Blackberry 8820 because my iphone started to piss me off (i hate touch screens)
I bought my blackberry from email its the 8820 Att version and I am using it on the tmobile network ( I called att and got it unlocked).
one of the reasons that I got the blackberry is because the gps feature, I travel a lot and having a gps in my phone sounded like an AWESOME feature.
The gps in the phone never locates a sattelite I can let it sit there all night and it will never find it.  I went in to the Options - > advanced options -> gps and made sure that it was enabled.  when I do the refresh so it will try to locate a sat. it shows all zeros.
I dont want to pay $10/mo for gps service if I am already paying $20/mo for a data plan, I have tried taking out the bat. waiting for 30 seconds and that didn't work either.
I paid garmin $100.00 so I can download all the maps to my 8gb sd card but it still doesn't work.
Please help me so I can fall in love with my blackberry all over again.

The in phone unit is not very good in the steel and glass canyons of a city. It should work in the areas with few highrise structures though unless the reciever has an issue.
That is why I purchased this.
It works great and is really not that expensive. I just hooked it onto my laptop bag and turn it on when I hit the rental car.

  • Blackberry 8520 does not start up

    HI,
      I have just bought a Blackberry 8520.
It has been working fine till today suddenly a white screen came on with a small clock icon in the centre.
The phone does not switch on. I have tired taking the batter off, sim and the memory card but nothing helps.
If anyone know how to rectify this problem I would really apprecaite it.
    P.S I use MAC

You'll need to get access to a PC.
If your BlackBerry stays powered off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life might be the blinking red LED light in the top corner. Nothing seems to wake it up and Desktop Manager doesn't recognize any device is connected.
    1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Congrats! Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate carrier and network type, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.

  • Blackberry desktop Manager not starting on Gateway Computer

Can anyone help (Blackberry is struggling with this one). I recently purchased a new Gateway computer M- series, and have attempted to install versions 4.2.2, 4.3, 4.6 and each one of the installations completes just fine. when I launch the application, it starts long enough to flash on the desktop and disappears. This is making it very difficult to configure to sync with Outlook 2007. I'm also running Windows Vista. This has become a very frustrating and has gone on now for at least 2 weeks.

  • Blackberry 9800 Torch not starting up or entering Safe mode

    Hi all,
I am owner of a Blackberry 9800 Torch for about a year and now it does not startup. I turned the phone off last night and this morning it does not start up. I didn't make any changes to the phone so very strange.
The behaviour is that when I take the battery out and it turns on, the load screen start but the little white line only starts a little(2mm line) and then it restarts and does the same thing and loop over and over again in this till battery runs out.
I have tired to enter Safe mode by holding in the Escape bottom when the load screen starts or when the red light turn off but it does not enter Safe mode.
Please can anybody advise how I can fix this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Stefan

Are you able to restart your device in safe mode as shown in KB17877?
I assume, since it's caught in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the Desktop Software it doesn't take a stable connection to reinstall your software?
If that is case, remove your battery and keep it out when you connect to the Desktop Software. You will get a pop up that the device can't connect and there should be Retry, Update and Cancel buttons. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the current device software version.
When the load is progressing, you will see a step that says "Wait for device initialization". At this point, insert the battery and the reload should complete.

  • Blackberry is stuck on start screen with blackberry logo and 3/4 loading

    Hey,
My blackberry messengers were not going through so i restarted it, after turning it back on it wouldnt load.
Now its been 3 hours and its stuck on the same screen with the blackberry logo and it loads 3/4 and then stops there. I called rogers tech support, and they said i have to reinstall os but when i try to do that and open the blackberry desktop manager and i connect it to my phone, it says that its waiting for device to start.
It wont load it though .. I dont know what to do Please help

Turning the phone off with the red phone key then restarting it will do little to nothing to ever correct a problem.
Make sure your phone is turned off.  Turn it on again.  Once the status bar starts moving, remove your battery then replace it a few seconds later.
Let us know if that does the trick.

  • Blackberry Desktop Manager wont start

    I am SOOOO frustrated.
I have installed the BB Desktop Manager software (never installed or used it before) and it has downloaded fine but it just wont open!! No errors, just nothing. Am getting really frustrated.
    Any ideas?

I am not sure I understand - are these instructions you have seen/been given?
What is the context for your post? I have an issue with DM 6.02 and Windows 7 which is that DM just won't start, the only workaround I have found is to downgrade to 5.0.1 which is not ideal but does seem to work. It worked fine on XP but when I switched to Windows 7 it installed fine but then would not start up.
