BlackBerry Remember feature needed

As a BlackBerry loyalist, I use the Remember app exclusively and no third party task/organization/reminder list.
My question is, how come you are not able to simple "move" any folders on to the "Tasks" side of Remember and everything inside the folder and vice versa, say, after completing tasks? There's a great grand Canyon between notes and tasks here inside the app. This staggers me. I'm beginning to think that even BlackBerry workers don't even use the app exclusively as this is a given to have this feature. Moreover, in previous builds, setting a due date without a reminder would still bring you a notification when that note or task was due, now, if you don't set a reminder, you'll get no notification. Lastly, you took some colors away from Remember that used to be available to color coordinate our folders. Why?

I may have some explanation for you.
first, the historical point of view.
In BBOS, the tasks and the memos are in two seperate apps. For a device connected to a BES :
the Tasks entries are for instance synchronized with the Outlook tasks
the Memopad entries are for instance synchronized with the Outlook Memos
Now, in BB10, the Tasks and Notes have been bundled (artificially in my opinion) into a single app named "BlackBerry Remember". But at the OS level, those objects are of two sorts entirely. There are in fact 4 types today, that are described from a developer side here: http://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/cascades/bb__pim__notebook__notebook.html#enum-type
so it is normal to not be able to convert a memo into a task for instance, just like in Outlook you cannot convert a note to a task.

my personal opinion is that having an app made by BlackBerry, that is native, is mandatory when your phone is connected to a BES. Otherwise, I don't think that being a "BlackBerry loyalist" prevents you to install native third party apps.

Sync a BlackBerry Remember Folder AFTER it's been created

I can imagine in the urgency of planning a BB "LACKberry" 10 native app IN THE EARLY DAYS (in truth, not too long ago) with designated people planning the roadmap of an app native to the upcoming BB 10, yet the with pressure from the higher-ups to CRANK SOMETHING OUT QUICKLY:
SCENARIO HYPOTHETICAL:
AMAZING THAT PEOPLE, SITTING IN LITTLE OFFICES CONFIGURING A NATIVE BB 10 APP WITHOUT THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX. That is to say, that I can envision a bunch of people coming in with their coffee early in the morning way back when the pressure was on to "get something out there quickly to integrate in the new BB10" and no one thinking that if, in the creation of this new BB Remember App, that if you're going to make it native and a power app in relation to other parts of the BB 10 OS body SO CONSUMERS WOULD NOT LOOK ELSEWHERE (say in BB App World) for a memo/task/productivity app), that ANY AND ALL OPTIONS would be insisted upon for the convenience and high power user.
BUT, SUCH WAS NOT THE CASE HERE, as I have delved DEEP AS POSSIBLE into the all options that BB Remember does and "what it could do", yet BEREFT how limited this app really is in every sense of the word. Does anyone get tired of recommending apps outside of native BB apps when BlackBerry should be all inclusive so that the natural tendency is to not look elsewhere? To those who have BlackBerry in their blood, who wish not to look in app world all the time and want to be an all-BlackBerry-only con/pro-sumer, it is just sad...
"The Dilemma":
I'm finding it impossible to take an existing BlackBerry Remember Folder and edit it to "Sync". By default in 10.1 (Since AT&T is always last at giving an official update), I've 20 folders. When I click on edit, to edit for example, the name of the folder and color (Can't believe how limited these color choices are), if you pull down further my "Sync To" is grayed out.
Is there any way to change this? What this means that ONLY at the start of creating a new folder (Infancy stage of creation of a Remember Folder and color) can you use the pull down as to whether or not the folder is going to sync, in this case, my only available option is Evernote when there should be a SLEW OF SYNC OPTIONS.
Critical thought: But any existing ones I cannot edit to sync with anything "after" the fact. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but there's not a whole lot of use here as in BBOS was with my 4,780 memos and tasks that were perfectly synced together. In the twenty folders now with over 3,600 current entries, I am not going to create a "new" folder and jam them all into one and not have them segregated into folder sections just for the sake of syncing when they should sync 'at will' from and at any time and to any cloud service I choose or locally on the BB 10 device as well, e.g., "the media card"...
Just crazy. No thought-arresting sense, mitigating the love and passion that each native app should be planned for inside of the blood and veins of a BB device, so that people NEVER,....NEVER, look elsewhere...

I thought I was the only user having probs with the BB Remember app., it rarely features in the forums and as yet I've had no helpful replies. My prob is that since upgrading to 10.2.0.424 the facility to order by due date does nothing, the tasks simply remain in alphabetical order. The help video shows a button to enable a due date, I don't have this but I am able to add a due date - just wont show tasks in due date order, although it will order by last am ended date or created date! Any help/ suggestions appreciated.

The app in question is a grasshopper phone app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grasshopper.dialer&hl=en)
and it requests access to the phone (obviously), contacts, shared files and device / identifying information.

Android apps were made easy by RIM to convert and 'sign' by the developers so the apps can run on the PlayBook. I assume RIM checks them for compatibility and quality. So some of the apps you may see on the App Store are actually converted apps. There is no designation as such.
Android apps use a different file format from the PlayBook, so you can't just load an Android app into the PB and expect it to run. RIM's operating system runs apps in bar file format.
Yes, you can reinstall apps you reinstall. Go to App World / My World and you will see all your apps installed and uninstalled. You can always reinstall uninstalled apps.
I love my Playbook. Spend a little time with it and you will love it to. Also this is a good board to find help of needed.

Blackberry Remember-Reminder

Hi,
I love my Blackberry Z10, I am a guy who use lot of notes with reminders. (like tasks in android).
When I create a new note, it has only due date, there is no option to set the timing to remind me. Is this only can be done at Calender?
I do not like to use Calender for my small errands. Is anyone can support me?

Pop up Window before saving remembering the need (forcing) to fill required fields in a form

I searched the "old" forum and have very good help from UVSAR but unfortunately I'm not able to access my message sent to that forum anymore.

I've have never use Java scripts in my life: I started about three days ago.
1) I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro X (Windows 7)
2) I've created a form using Microsoft Word and save it as a pdf file.
3) After I created a form using Acrobat Pro X;
3.1.) This form it's not going to be submitted over Internet. It will be send by e-mail to some persons. They will receive it, fill in the form and send it back to me via e-mail. Note: I will save it with extended rights in order to allow to be read with acrobat reader (I'm the only one of the group having Professional edition).
4) In that form I've created some text fields (for now it's just what I need - no radio buttons, dropdown
menus, and so...)
5) Choosed Properties and marked 7 fields as "required";
6) Used a script I found in here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/784322 (thank you for the authors of the thread)

7) This script allows me to remember people to fill that 7 specific fields (when using mouse or tab).
8) So... What I really need? Here are the reasons for my request for help:
8.1.) When people use the Acrobat Reader Save button (not a button I created inside the form) it will pop up an alert message. Users will receive a pop up window telling them they need to fill those fields before saving the form and send it back to me. Can someone share a script, please? Thanks in advance.
8.2.) Is there a way to colorize the fileds that need to be filled? Again I only learned where to insert a java script yestaerday sou I'm not able to write one. I'm sorry for my newbie questions.
8.3.) Last question: In one of the fields there will be an e-mail address. On the end of the form I want to create a button like "Send by e-mail" and When someone press that button the e-mail will be sent to the address that was written in the earlier specific field. How can I do this (link a button to an e-mail address in a specific field)? Can someone help me with a script or ideas? Hope I was clear.
8.1.) UVSAR sent me the following code that works fine untill I save the document for the first time. Affter that he never shows me pop up window again.

If you activate a smartphone on the Verizon network, it will automatically add the $29.99/month unlimited data feature to your account.
These phones do NOT need data to FUNCTION, and they could make calls, send texts, use wifi, etc. just fine without Verizon's data plan. Verizon chooses to require you to pay for the data plan in order to access the privelege of activating that type of device on their network.
The phones which require the $9.99/month plan ARE generally a bad value. They make poor use of the data feature, and they will probably never be free of that requirement. I would suggest looking at older 3GMM type phones. Models like the enV2 and original Samsung Alias do not require the data plan but offer more substantial feature sets and higher quality than the currently available "Feature" phones.
Thanks, it just seems crazy. I am eligible for 4 of my phones, for the "FREE PHONE EVERY 2 YRS", and it almost seems like I am down grading? We have a LG voyager, and 3 LG dares. There are no phones in the verizon line that compare to these with out going to a 9.99 or 29.99 extra/mth charge? It just does not seem right?
Am I missing something?

Email verification page down and Blackberry identity update needed for app world

don't know if anyone can help me, but I just got a Blackberry and did the whole creating a Blackberry id etc, now when I want to confirm my email address it says that the email confirmation feature is currently unavailable? Its been like that for 5 days now! And that sucks seeing as the link is only valid for 24 hours? wtf? How am I supposed to confirm in 24 hours if the link is down for more than that?!!!!!!
So as a result I cannot use app world as every time I go on it says 'a blackberry identity update is needed. Would you like to install now?' I then click yes and it then proceeds to tell me that my 'blackberry identity installation failed. Please try again later (80003), I can try until I am blue in the face without the admin fixing that **bleep** link its never going to work!!!!!!!!!!

Song Playing App (particular feature needed)

Hello: I am looking for a particular app for iPad Mini. A Mac specialist told me iTunes does not have the ability I need. Using a 10 song playlist, when the active (playing) song is finished, I need that song to stop. Then the following song to be (still) paused and cued. Then I will manually start that (following) song. I will cycle this procedure until all 10 songs have been played. Thank-you, MLR

KEEP GETTING "Unsupported 16-Bit Application" when trying to download Blackberry Link. Im trying to sync music into my new Z10. here is the whole error message:

Performance improvements to LR3 features needed in LR4

There are other threads already in existence which discuss how performance appears to have decreased in the LR4 beta, and I'm sure that's partly explained by the fact that it IS a beta containing unfinished & unoptimized code, and partly because it is actually doing more work than before.
However, I see no mention from any Adobe sources of any attention being given to addressing the various performance issues that were already present in LR3.x and I think such performance tuning/optimization is sorely needed.
In particular:
Threading & parallelization - I recently upgraded my dual-core, 8GB RAM machine to quad-core (by changing only the CPU) but this gave a dissappointingly small boost in performance - it was barely noticeable during general use & exporting, surely something can be done to make better use of multiple cores, especially to make sure that the main application/editing UI *never* becomes sluggish (i.e. any LR tasks should run in the background and concede resources to the UI thread), and during export can't N-1 cores be used to process & export one image per core (in parallel) leaving one core for UI?
Poor performance and user experience of deleting files - there's no visual feedback at all (i.e. a progress bar is needed) and it takes MUCH longer than is reasonable, deleting a few hundred sometimes takes 5mins, during which time LR is completely unusable.
Importing images - even if RAW/NEF/DNG the perceived performance could surely be improved by populating the grid with thumbnails almost instantly by scanning the header of the files to extract the metadata including the thumbnails, THEN going back for a second pass which actually transfers/copies/moves the fullsize images, this approach would permit more useful work to be done while import is in progress.
Module switching latency - a necessary evil because of the separation between Library and Develop, switching between them often takes seconds, this should be instant!
That's far from an exhaustive list, but PLEASE could Adobe devote some resources to making these existing features perform better and in doing so alleviate some of the frustration & wasted time experienced in using LR day in, day out?
Others are of course very welcome to list other important performance issues which I've omitted / not aware of...

Agreed. On my list, some metadata fields (Title, Caption) have been replicated in the new Map Module, proving in principle that these fields could exist in other modules. Given the option to have metadata and keyword panels present in Develop mode, I'd never use the Library again.
I feel that LR performance/productivity has gotten short changed this time around. Let us go well beyond hiding and showing modules to customize our LR workspace across multiple displays. GPU accelerate operations. Optimize the application, catalog and cache to benefit more from SSDs. Make all operations lightening fast then worry about superfluous stuff like Maps.
Other than the book module (which is hamstrung by the Blurb-only initial limitation) nothing in LR4 is going to save me time. It feels like LR is drifting from its original high-volume mission. There are plenty of consumer-grade photo management apps out there, I don't want LR to turn into another one of them. 20 months till LR5 is a long time to wait to see if LR priorities embrace speed again.

Ideas for features needed in new Conversational LDAP Accept

Mark, sorry should have given you this list months ago. My guess is you've already thought of all of these and more.
Everyone else, feel free to add to the list or tell me I'm nuts... or better yet ask what for.
1) A good DHAP (directory harvest attack prevention) solution. I'm guessing this would be along the same lines as current post-conversation LDAP Accept. - completely obvious
2) Sender Group specific settings, also like the current DHAP. This allows for different bounce/drop rates based on Sender Group or SRBS. Also the ability to Drop vs. Bounce based on Sender Group, not just a global setting.
3) The ability to do conversational bounces based on the MAIL FROM: in addition to the RCPT TO:. This allows for conversational bounces for Internet inbound emails where the MAIL FROM: may be your own domain (spoofed).
4) LDAP Accept still needs to be post HAT, Domain Map and RAT processing.
5) Rates and counts added to the Mail Flow monitor stats, specifically: Invalid LDAP rates: Total, Bounce and Drop.
6) LDAP lookup status, very much like DNS with cache hit/miss rates, number of lookups, etc. Also rates along with counts.
7) Warnings when LDAP lookup timeout is exceeded, vs. server connection failures. Configurable LDAP lookup timeout.
8) If connection to LDAP server fails or times out, emails are accepted by default.

This is all very good feedback. The vast majority of it will be included in the conversational LDAPACCEPT feature coming in a maintenance release in the short term.
There are a couple items that we'll have to get to in a later release:
- Drop vs. bounce in the sender group. Good idea, beyond what we'll be able to do in this release. But you'll be able to enable/disable and set thresholds per sender group.
- Conversational bounces on the Envelope Sender. This is coming in the Hard Rock release, planned for Q405.
- LDAP lookup status will be in the Hard Rock release
Everything else looks to be in there.

New feature needed

One thing that really annoys me in UB and there is no control over is the net logical listings in certain areas of the program.
An example is the bus settings, when you have to select the nets you want to add its listed:

Any idea how annoying that its from a designers point of view? It can't be resorted or adjusted and needs to give the user control on how the nets need to be sorted. I have some designes with 10000+ connections and trying to select out of that list instead of:

Also, while not all busses in MS are busline traces in the PCB, why can't there be an option in MS to CREATE THE BUS GROUP within MS and pass that to UB? Most of the time if you building a multiplexed display or controll or address bus MPU, those lines are guaranteed to belong in a bus situation. This option would simplify the and reduce the design time.
These are important traits......whats NI position on this feature which I've been asking for since V8?
