Blackberry Sim. Can I use this in iphone?
Hi all. I currenty live in UK with a business pay monthly on Blackberry.
I am planning to purchase an iphone pay as you go and would like to know if I can use the blackberry sim in the iphone. If so would this restrict any features?
the network company is the same on both phones(o2)

Your iPhone will include a new SIM card that must be activated with O2 even with a pay-as-you-go plan. The SIM card is "married" the iPhone's IMEI number as part of the activation process.
Once activated, you should be able to use your iPhone's SIM card with your Blackberry, but you can't do this in reverse. Using an activated SIM card from another phone with a carrier locked iPhone, and the iPhone is sold in the UK as carrier locked with O2 only.

An iPhone 4 CDMA is CDMA only. It doesn't have any GSM circuitry and doesn't have a SIM slot. You can only use it on the network it was originally sold for.

I am not aware of any method around the restriction once
the maximum has been created on any individual iPhne. -

You could sign up for iTunes match and use iCloud photo library with optimisation enabled. The later will keep optimised photos on your device and iTunes match will let you access your whole collection and make room for newer content by removing older unplayed items. -

<Edited By Host>First, the iPhone would need to be unlocked. That would depend on where you bought it. Next, the North American phone would not work with all of the networks outside of the US. Also, the warranty for the device is only good in the US, so if you have a problem with the phone, you would need to bring it back to the US to an Apple Store. Where did you purchase the phone?

It will be locked to mobily telecom, and according to Apple's list of supported carriers and their features (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937) they do not offer unlocking. Since only the carrier it is locked to can unlock it, you have bought a useless phone.

when I power on it shows go itune logo starts. Then I tried to download restore and update it shows Tunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes. iphone could not be restored. Then an unknown error occuired(1604) shows.an unknown error occuired(1604). It also happened to me. What I did was to put my USB connector at the back of my PC (the main USB port) then I open my iTunes again and Viola, it solves my problem.

The only way to get passed that and to use that iPhone is to ask the previous owner to remove it from icloud.com in the Find my iPhone section.

If the previous owner is not present
Make sure the device is powered on and connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Then contact the previous owner and ask them to follow these steps to remove the device from their account:
Sign in to their iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
Click All Devices to open a list of devices linked to their account, then select the device to be removed.
Click the Erase button to erase all content and settings from the device. When prompted, don't enter a phone number or message. Click Next until the device is erased.
When the erase is complete, click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
After the device is erased and removed from the account, you can proceed with the device setup process.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
