BlackBerry simulator failed to show data

Hello Experts,
I am using SUP 2.1 for Blackberry application development.
While doing the SUP101 sample project for Blackberry,We followed all the steps as given in the PDF.
But BlackBerry simulator failed to show data in after sychronization.
I checked in the error log,it is hitting the unwired server but in that it is showing that authentication failed 4000 error.

The authentication error means that your MBO did not supply correct credentials.
In your eclipse editor, go to the MBO and select your customer MBO.
In the details, you can supply the authentication parameters.
Fill in the credentials for your SUP server and check the "save credentials" box. (for a demo, this is ok, in a real application, you'll have to supply a logon screen or work with client certificates)
If that doesn't solve the problem, it could also be the authentication towards the sample DB.

Try searching following file
BB_ADFNMC_Bindings
and all files with BB_ADFNMC_*
these are approx 10 files , copy all of them into simulator folder inside RESERCH IN MOTION folder
or load these through simultor->File->Load Blackberry Application .

chkdsk /f, diskpart, rescan etc
but no result :( (i mean all processes failed. They could not detect the drive).
Please help me to get those data, pictures and project files.

Hi, I recently upgraded my xcode to 5.1, my project is running well in ios 7.0,6.0, But in ios 7.1 i'm getting error like"iOS Simulator failed to install the application". Can anybody please suggest the solution for it.

We aren't Apple, just users like you. Have you tried a reset? Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Crystal Reports 2008 failed to retrive data, and instead deleted it.

I have been using crystal reports 2008 for the past year or so with our billing software through an OBDC data source. I was using xp pro sp3. However I recently upgraded to a new computer running xp pro sp3 as well, and now I am having some serious issues.
When I try to connect to a data source in the database expert, it shows all the tables, and then the field explorer shows the fields, but when I actually try to brows the data, view a preview, verify the database, or refresh an old report it gives me an error and DELETES the .dat file that the field was located in. I am so glad I have regular backups to restore too, because pulling a report nuked 5 .dat files.
The errors I am getting are as follows:
"Failed to retrieve data from database."

"Database Connector Error: 'HY000:[Pervasive][ODBC Client Interface][LNA][Pervasive][ODBC Engine Interface][Data Record Manager]The file cannot be created with Variable-trail Allocation Tables (VATs)(Btrieve Error 105)'"

and Crystal stays open but has just deleted the .dat file that the table was located in. It will still show the fields but no data. Trying to open the other software leads to an error "missing <name of table>.dat" It then has to be restored from a backup.
I have tried updating crystal as well as fully uninstalling it and reinstalling it, we have created a new ODBC connection, and cloned the database for testing purposes. The same thing occurs with the new database and ODBC data source.
We have no other computers, except my old one that has crystal reports on it. I have tried the old computer again and it is working fine.
Does anyone have an suggestions? This is pretty critical. Thanks in advance.

Hello, you could try turning on ODBC tracing to see if it logs anything. It's a pain to get going but here's how.
Go to ODBC Admin, Click on the Tracing tab and create a log file and save. Don't start tracing yet. Close the ODBC admin and then re-open it and then turn tracing on. You may have to do this a few times to get it working.
Once it's tracing then open CR and try the demo data. Then close the report, log off, log onto the real data and do the same with a new report. You'll see a bunch of ODBC API's but there may be one or 2 that don't look right or errors may be logged compared to the DEMODATA.
Another suggestion is it may not be your PC doing the deleting. Maybe the Server thinks you have infected the data files and it's deleting them. Have a look in anti-virus quarantine logs on the server to see if it's doing the nasty....
Check the trust between your PC and the server.
I've also seen this type of odd behaviour with corrupted Profiles. Check with your IT guys on creating a new one for you, it's apain because you loose everything on your work station.
What happens if you log on from another PC using your account? Does that also delete the files? Or get someone else who it does work for log into your PC, does that work? If so it may be your Profile is either not trusted or it's been corrupted.

How to show date with format conforming to system date format ?

Hi all,
I write Java program running on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
I want to show date in a status bar with the format the same as that in system date format where the program resides, so when I change the date format through the regional setting, I expect that the date format in the status bar will adjust accordingly.
But it seems that program fails to do so, the program keeps showing short date format MM/dd/yy. I've tried to use SimpleDateFormat.getDateInstance() method, but the result is the same.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Fails to update data during view object test

Hi, I'm using:
Postgresql w/JDBC drivers
Jdeveloper 10g
I created entities and associations for my tables, and now I created a view object, assigned it to application module and run it.
It shows the data properly, but when I try to commit a change, it gives me:
Business Component Browser - oracle.jbo.DMLException
(oracle.jbo.DMLException) JBO-26041: Failed to post data to database during "Update": SQL Statement "UPDATE PUBLIC.SIGNON Signon SET username=? WHERE username=?".

You're hitting Bug# 3537056. Contact worldwide support and they have a one-off patch for this that they can supply for you. The issue is related to lack of support in your database for a table alias in the update statement.

The scenario is that, according to the Colombia's product local expert, Is not possible to create Stored Procedures, Views, Functions or anything in the customer productive database, in order to improve the performance of the query i created other DB where i created an stored procedure, after that, i called it from Crystal where it's working ok. But when i try to generate it from SBO it show the message promted.
Someone knows what could be happening

Crystal Reports 2008 - C-ISAM/ODBC Error 42000 Failed to retrieve data

I'm hoping someone out there has a solution to this problem.
I have a bunch of reports which I've converted from CR8.5 to CR2008 (SP2 + HotFixPack 2.7 Installed)
Our server is currently running SCO UNIX OpenServer 5.0.7 with a C-ISAM Database serving our accounting software.
Some of the more basic reports have converted with no problem (daily sales figures etc...), but some reports such as customised purchase orders, and complex sales histories etc... continue to have this problem.
Note, all my reports functioned perfectly under CR8.5.
This error occurs within seconds of executing the report.
FAILED TO RETRIEVE DATA FROM THE DATABASE
Details: 42000:ERROR Syntax Error - Database Vendor Code: -1
After which, the winsock comms need to be reset.
One example SQL query is as follows (on a report re-designing my purchase order for imported products.

Hi Steve,
If you open the Report and then click on DataBase, Log on and connect first. Then open your report, then Database, Set Location and once it's done then Verify the Database. Fix any errors or warnings that may pop up.
Lots of changes between 8.5 and 2008. CR detects that the report is the old format and it then goes through an series of internal report upgrade routines to convert all functions to the current format.
Also, all of the database drivers were re-written to take advantage of the updated functionality and Client enhancements. As well as we removed any "custom hacks" that we did back then to fix "issues" int he DB client drivers at the time. All of those "fixes" were removed, to much work to maintain them all, now if there are issues it's usually due to the DB Client not following ANSII 92 Standards.
One issue that does show up from time to time is that the order you inserted the tables can have an affect on how CR generates the SQL, may not be the case for your issue though, just something to watch for.
What happens if you create a new report and use that same SQL, save it, close all, re-open the report and run it. Do you get the same errors?
Also note: you did not say if you also updated the ODBC driver? As of CR 9 we are UNICODE compliant, may be your client needs to be updated also. Also verify it's using ODBC 3 and not ODBC 2 standards.

Hi everyone
My Stored Procedure contains the following code "annar.dbo.OIBT c", where Annar is the database name.
When i execute the report in Crystal directly is working without Issues, There everything is ok, the Stored Procedure parameters, sorts, cross tab. When i try to executed it from SBO it shows the prompt error.
The connection was OLE DB (ADO). I created an ODBC connection with the following settings
- SQL autentication based on Id and password created by user, in this case sa
- "Use Identifiers between "" ANSI " and "Use Null, filled and ANSI warning " are ticked.
- Execute character data conversion.

Failed to retrieve data from the database error message

Hello,
I have a fairly simple report that correctly retrieves the data from the database providing that there are no selection formula.
However, as soon as I add the record selection formula:
{fireService.serviceDate} >= DateTime (2009, 10, 3, 0 ,0 ,0)
I get the following errors:
Failed to retrieve data from the database
Cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report. Details: An invalid range operator has been encountered.
However, when I use the Database / Show SQL Query option and copy the query directly into the sql query analyser it works perfectly.
Any ideas?

I am using a table to select the records from.
In fact it is a series of joined tables.
The SQL Query generated is:

It looks complext but is not. Most of these joins reference lookup tables.

Show Data As tab missing in Pivot Table

I have added a column to the Measures in Pivot table. But I dont c any data for that column in my actual report. When I clicked on that particular column SHOW DATA AS option is missing..what went wrong here? Please let me know.

case statement--I want to check for a condition like desired column>= col1.I got an error when I have added "=" in case statement. So just wondering how can I achieve this situation?You can do that.Can you post your case when condition here with datatypes of columns you are using .
Pivot Table_-- Right now, Month(No ordering) was added to columns and underneath that Measure labels and Measures section has 3 columns.
In my actual report if if the user selects all the months in the dashboard as a prompt, need to show them in a order like
April May June
col1 col2 col3 c1 c2 c3 c1 c2 c3 etc for remaining months.
but it fails. i tried changing the Month as ascending and descending but couldn't achieve the desired format. any suggestions on this?Create a dummy column in answers.Write a case statement like case when month='Jan' then 1 when 'Feb' then 2 etc....Put this in excluded columns in Pivot table and sot on this.If you have month number already then iclude that columns and repeat the steps.
