Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Unfortunately, I cannot see you, and hence cannot know what exactly you have already tried...hence all I can do is give you these instructions.
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try the "Bare Bones OS Reload Procedure" to attempt to narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
You may also need the use of these tricks:

KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any state
http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lecture-12-how-reload-operating-system-nuked-blackberry
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
KB19915How to perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software

new software being downloaded. Stoped repsonding. Switched off macbookpro 17". Will not restart just apple sign and spinning wheel. Solution?

Just had the same thing happen here.
Client found update was taking too long on 10.7.2 Aluminum iMac, shut down.
Booting in verbose mode halts at "The System bootstrapper has crashed: Trace/BPT trap: 5"
It will boot into the Restore partition, and it will run DiskUtility.  Ran Repir Disk, and Permission Repair found some things, but I've learned most are useless indicators.
Booted into Target Mode, ran Disk Warrior 4.4 on it, found some errors, but didn't resolve the boot issue.
I'm about to back up the user data, and blow it away and start over.  :-(
    Any other suggestions?

Here is the KB article regarding this issue:  http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/dynamickc.do?externalId=KB03490&sliceId=SAL_Public&command=show&forwa...
Basically you go to start, programs, accessories and right click command prompt and select "run as administrator"  in the command prompt window that comes up type in regsvr32 vbscript.dll
You should get a message that it succeeded, if you get any other message be sure you are running the command as administrator.  If you are in the command prompt as administrator type cd \Windows\system32 and try the command again, if that doesn't work try cd \Windows\SysWOW64 and try the command again.  Once you get the succeeded message try to install the Desktop Manager again and it should work.
    Cheers!

  • Blackberry Software Downloads

Hey, I have a question or two about the software downloads.  Whenever I download the media sync, or the desktop manager, or even loading up the app world program for the computer, it downloads the installation program, but when I run every one of them, they error saying the source has been moved, or the page keeps refreshing for the app program, and not moving onto the plug-in-your-phone state.  Does anyone know why this is happening to me?  Is there a program on my computer that would block the progress of downloading Blackberry products?
This is my first blackberry, and I have had an iphone beforehand, but iTunes doesn't recognize my new phone.
I'm kind of running out of patience already, lol.  Help. (=!

In the sync settings in Desktop Manager there should be a setting for changing the time/timezone on the device when connected.  Turn that off.

  • Blackberry ID is not responding

I did a security wipe on my bb q5 device, after the phone turned on, i selected a language, choose a wifi connection , swipe left to choose my country and agree to terms and conditions, but the agree to terms page won't load, it takes me to the homepage. I can't access and application on the phone, i tried using my bbm, it required I log in to my Blackberry ID tried doing that but my phones says Blackberry ID not responding. Please what can I do to fix it,

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
    2) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!

  • Adobe Software keeps "not responding"

    Hello,
Within the past 2 months all of my Adobe software keeps going into "not responding" mode. This happens daily with ALL of my design software. Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Sometimes it happens multiple times in an hour. I try and save often but I cannot tell you how much work I have lost when this happens when I least expect it. Specs of my machine are below. I am not to savy on the tech side of things, just a designer so any help you could provide would be GREATLY appreciated.
    21.5" iMac, Late 2009
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
If you need another other specs that I did not list please let me know.
I am using Adobe Design Standard CS5.
    Thank you!

4 GBs of RAM, especially after upgrading to OS X 10.7 Lion or Mountain Lion, is really the base working minimum for OS X. You are starving both OS X and Adobe CS5 by not having enough RAM memory resources.
Adobe is "freezing" because there is no where near enough RAM for it to function.
Especially so if you having all of the apps running simultaneously in the background.
Were you having these issues prior to upgrading to OS X Lion?
Every newer Intel version of OS X starting with OS X 10.6 through OS X 10.8 uses more CPU, GPU, RAM memory and hard drive resources.
Your iMac, can take up to 16 GBs of RAM.
My advice, install the Max. You'll be left with 12 GBs of RAM that your Adobe apps can use.
Purchase reliable and correct RAM from online RAM sellers Crucial memory or OWC (macsales).
    Good Luck!

  • Software download not completing

i don't know if this is really a G4 issue but I cannot seem to complete software downloads. it's not just a question of it taking a long time i think because it sort of freezes-- the program is dimmed and I can't click on the "pause" button for it, so i end up force quitting. I'm trying to download two security updates, the new itunes, and the Daylight Saving Time update.
    What's going on?
it gets to the agreements, I agree to those and it starts, the bar gets about 1/4 of the way and then it hangs and hangs...

  • Software Update not responding

Software Update is not responding.  Every time I try to open software update, it gives me the spinning wheel, and doesn't progress.  Eventually, it tells me that App Store is not responding, and I have to force quit the app store.  I tried going through the Terminal, and nothing happened after I typed the command (using sudo) and entered my password.  I'm also having trouble installing programs using OS X's installer app, and I'm wondering if these problems might be related.

    Try this:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Blackberry Desktop Software hangs ("not responding" error)

I have a Bold 9780 and Blackberry Desktop Software 7, and suddenly the desktop application juts hangs and freezes when I try to launch it. Hello,
You seem perhaps to already have tried at least some of what is discussed in this thread, but I cannot tell if you've truly tried it all...therefore, I suggest this thread:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Cleanly-quot-Starting-Over-quot-with-...
It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
Otherwise, it really sounds like you have some major conflict or issues with your Windows OS itself. While quite rare, it's not unheard of needing to completely reinstall Windows so as to get things working well. But, before you resort to that, you should do all of the normal Windows stuff -- Windows updates, check all of your apps for updates, run registry cleansers, run full virus scans, run malware detectors, etc. etc. etc. This very much sounds like a PC/Windows problem more than a Desktop Software problem.
    Good luck!

  • Software Downloads not transferrable

I am unable to get broadband where I live. I therefore have to use my Intel MacBook Pro on Leopard 10.5.3 to download software updates on a broadband connection elsewhere. (You try downloading 60 mb files on dial-up). Recently these have not transferred to the iMac, stating not enough privileges. I have checked read and write permissions, all accounts except "everyone" which stays on read can be changed to read and write. How do I keep my G4 up to date?

if you can see an exclamation point then that's possibly not a PRC or PDB file especially when you are using the install tool in installing the application. install tool automatically detects an incompatible app right after you drag it or double click it to be placed in the install tool. please check the file extension of the installer and see if it's a legit PRC or PDB. PRC is the main app while the PDB is the database file for that app that is needed to in order to work well.

I am trying to download the software and drivers for my dm1z from http://gkz1.co/nYEsZ1 (short URL for the official HP page), but none of the links work. They all point to ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52501-53000/ but it seems the folder doesn't exist in the ftp server?

  • Blackberry software 7.1 Bundle 2039

    Hi all,
I recently updated my Curve 9360 to 7.1 Bundle 2039 through my desktop manager, and ever since the battery has become just awful. I've noticed that near the halfway mark it turns my signal and wifi off stating I have low battery, the bb light flashes yellow once and then does nothing. Allowing me to turn them both back and and continue as normal. Then at around 20-30% of battery life, it then repeats only when I turn the signal/wifi back on the battery does then actually show its low then just turning off without warning.
I know its the software as before I didn't have these problems. I've searched all over installing crackmen, uninstalling and reinstalling an older desktop manager and so on
I need an easy step by step guide of how to downgrade, so try not to just tell me to go to FAQ to go around in 1 big circle again so if anyone could help, thanks

    Hello 212time
    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
There are two methods you can try :
You can perform a Clean Reload of your device Software, while doing so When you run Desktop Software Click the Device menu and select Update > click On View other versions > On that list if you're able to view the required Version that you're looking for Click on it to Install that specific Version But first do a backup of your device.
KB11320 : How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device software using BlackBerry desktop software for windows
Or you can  manually  Downgrade your device Software as you want , for that follow those instructions :
1.Locate your Carrier and Download the OS you desire from here  BlackBerry Software Download Site
(make sure you are downloading for the same model as you have )
     2. Now Double the file that you Downloaded to Install it on your PC
    3. Download and install the latest BlackBerry desktop software from here BlackBerry desktop software
Then using desktop software perform your full backup of your device.
4.Search your C: drive for Vendor.xml and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml , On your Pc change your folders option to show hidden files/folders ( You can skip this step if you're usng your Carrier OS ) :
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    5. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. (For 64-bit Vista or Windows 7, the path       will be C: > Program Files x86 > Common Files > Research In Motion > AppLoader) double click Loader.exe.
Just follow the Onscreen directions and Upgrade / Downgrade  will continue then After Installation of New OS restore your backup using  BlackBerry desktop Software.
Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
