Blackberry Storm 2 (9520) - App - Whatsapp

Hi. Well the app Whatsapp Messenger on my Blackberry Storm 2 (9520) on the occasions won't send the messages, causing me to reboot. Is there anyway to fix this? I have the latest version of the app.

  • Water Damaged Blackberry Storm 2 9520

Hi, I got rugby tackled into a lake with my BB in my pocket a few weeks ago and the phone got wet. i took the battery out straight away and then dried the phone in a bowl of rice for a few days. when i put the battery back in the phone worked fine for about a week and then the screen started to stop working sporadically before packing up altogether. the little water damage indicator on the phone has turned red but the one on the battery hasn't. even then the red LED still came on when i put the battery in and the 4 little call, menu, back, and hang up lights came on too. about two weeks later i had the device charged in my bag when i went into an old wifi spot i used and i heard the phone recieving emails, bbms and facebook notifications so it all still worked. i was fiddling around with it the other day and i could see thep phone was trying to load up when i plugged it in although the screen was very dim as if the backlight wasnt working. after a long time (maybe and hour or so) i looked at it again and could make out that there were a list of specifications and numbers on the screen in tiny print and a small icon in the centre of the screen that said "reset" on it. i tried to click this but the touch screen wasnt working so it didnt work. i was wondering if anyone knew if theres any way of fixing the phone?

It is possible, though difficult, to replace the LCD and Capacitive screen on the 9520. For the cost, it really isn't worth it.
If your Storm is powering up, I'd MAKE CERTAIN you backup using the BlackBerry Desktop Software, immediately, so at least your data is preserved.

  • Blackberry torch 9800 recognized as blackberry storm 2. by OPERA mini

May I know why OPERA mini is recognizing my torch as blackberry storm 2 9520. & it is not possible change device?

Probably because Opera has not updated it's registry of devices?
That's probably why, and for Opera the 9520 is the closest to the 9800 it knows.

  • HP Eprinting APP from Blackberry Storm 2

Where can I get app for ePrinting from my Blackberry Storm 2?

    Hello seads,
The only HP ePrint app for the Blackberry operating system is the HP ePrint Service, mainly used for large businesses and locating public ePrinters, like a FedEx Kinkos for example.
I would suggest using your email application on your Blackberry and send an email, with the print job inside or attached, to your printer's ePrint email address.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • Blackberry Storm

Good mroning, I'm new here. I've had my Blackberry Storm (I believe the number is 9630) for a few years. Love it, of course I have on it Facebook; but, nothing more than that. Recently there was an upgrade to Facebook, I did the upgrade. Since that time I now am getting a run time error when I open FB. The only way for me to clear this and to be able to use the phone is for me to take the battery out of it. What is causing this and what can I do to fix it?
    Greatly appreciate the feedback.

If you delete the app then reinstall it, that should take care of the issue. If not, post back and we'll look at other options.
    Cheers.

  • Flash on blackberry storm

I need to know how to install flash on my blackberry storm. I was given a site ...www.handango.com by my carrier and said i could download apps there but would not tell me what apps as they do not support the site.

you can move any icon either to the home screen or to another folder. Please the manual, either the paper one you received with your device, or the one online :

  • Question on Palm 500 and BlackBerry Storm--please help!

Hi, I'm not sure where to post this, but here is my story.
For several years, I've had a Palm 500.
I believe, when I purchasedit,I had to choose to Hot Sync between either my PC at home or my Mac at work. I chose to Hot Sync at home and that was an error because I was mostly using it for work. In time, I got tired of tapping everything in with the stylus and mostly use it as an address book now, even though I have $hundreds in third-party apps going unused.
Recently, I’ve been considering buying a BlackBerry Storm. I don’t really plan to use it on the Net but Verizon says I have to pay $30 a month just for web fees or I can’t get that phone. My husband says there is a way nowadays to HotSync to both a PC and a Mac. Or at least for me to hook up the Palm 500 to the Mac at work and be able to use iCal etc. there.
If I choose to buy the BlackBerry he says I can transfer all my Palm data to the BB.
Can anyone tell me: 1. Is any of this true? 2. If I stay with the Palm how do I get the necessary hardware/software for my iMac? 3. Should I just deep-six the Palm 500 because it’s so old?
I really need some kind of organization software/device because deadlines are piling up and I’m gonna get in trouble on my job!
    Thanks!!!
    Post relates to: Palm m500

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Community Forums.
You always had the ability to sync with two different desktops, even of different platforms.  This Palm Knowledgebase Article discusses how to Hotsync one device on two different desktops:
    http://tinyurl.com/kq4c5
The Mac hotsync software is downloadable from the support/download site linked above if you don't have your original installation disc.  Just be sure you pay heed to the article's instructions about only using ONE desktop for full 2-way sync, using the second desktop for one-way sync (Handheld Overwrites Desktop) as a clone of the other.
As for the BB Storm, I am unfamiliar with it but it looks like you would probably have to sync with M$ Outlook or some other organizer app which is compatible with the Blackberry Desktop software (suggest you peruse the BB site for info).  If you don't already sync with Outlook, you would have to migrate your data from Palm Desktop to Outlook.  You can do that but you might need your original installation disc.  I'm not sure whether the m500 came with Outlook conduits or Chapura Pocket Mirror to sync with Outlook...and I'm just a little bit frustrated right now trying to find stuff on the newly redesigned web site to be able to point you to the right answer on that.
Whether to deep-six the m500 or not is a tough one.  Palm's handheld PDA business is pretty much a goner...no new stand-alone PDAs are planned, and the "current" models (TX, E2 and Z22) now seem to be at the end of their production life.  So it seems that whatever is still out there in the supply stream (like www.amazon.com where you can get a new TX for something like $270) is probably about it. Your m500 is already a dinosaur, and parts will get harder to come by.  But if you like the stand-alone PDA it seems that now would be the time to get a replacement for your m500.  Their speed, display resolution and other capabilities are far superior to your m500.

  • Streaming a WVC210 to a BlackBerry Storm 2

Has anyone actually succeeded in streaming a WVC210 to a BlackBerry Storm 2? Cisco's documentation only references three ports: 554, 5000, and 80. I've tried all sorts of combinations. The camera can be successfully opened from the internet by computer, but not the phone.

    Hello Edward,
I assisted a customer with RTSP streaming some time ago. I do not remember the settings exactly, although the following link seems to describe how to set it up pretty well:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Storm/Blackberry-Storm-RTSP-router-settings-for-a-linksys-WVC54GCA/td-p/185140
Please reply if you have any issue with those instructions or if you need further information. I know it worked for the customer that I assisted and I see no reason that it should not work with your Storm 2.
I stream video to my Android phone using a third party app call IP Cam Viewer and it works great. That app uses http though, not RTSP. I recall that the video only streamed for 15 seconds or so before the connection needed to be reestabished on the Blackberry. You may want to try to find a comparable app for your phone that streams http instead of RTSP.

  • Blackberry Storm 9530 sync with Ical?

Does anyone know how to sync their blackberry storm with their ical or entourage calendar 2004? I can't. Is it even possible?

After spending hours with 'pocketmac' and the 'missingsync' getting nowhere with trying to synce my BB Bold with my Mac I stumbled across Google! If you open an account with them (free) you have the ability to upload your mac calendar and you address book will sync with google from the address book preferences. After you have uploaded what you need you can then use "google sync" to transfer your calendar and address book to your BB. The calendar does not sync with your mac and you will have to edit it online but you can periodically upload a new vCal file onto the google calendar. This is by far and away the best and free way to get mac info into a BB. It's not perfect but oh so much better than the offical options available.
The only other true way to achieve sync is to boot into windoze and buy outlook. Then everything works perfectly, but who want's to do that? Take a look at the google option, it's the best I've found so far after HOURS of messing around with the other sync apps!

  • ICal v. Blackberry Storm

I am having trouble syncing my Blackberry Storm to my iCal. Only syncs one way and wipes out my BB calendar. How can I reverse and sync mobile device to iCal? I have tried Pocket Mac and Missing Sync. They don't work either. HELP!

  • Storm 2 9520 wifi problems

I've got a BB storm2 9520 which cannot find any wifi connections. And no, i don't need a Wi-fi service plan because i brought an unlocked phone from a store. And i'm certain that its not a fake or whatever because i got it repaired under warranty at a BlackBerry Service Centre....
Please tell me why it won't find wi-fi  networks.....
    Storm 2 9520
    v5.0.0.436 (Platform 4.2.0.1.8.9)

I am in the same issue, I recently bought an Storm 2 9520 from Wal-Mart Brazil, it is unlocked so I could use my own SIM, I could navigate on internet but in the following day, I hadn't the same luck I contacted my local telco the Italian TIM, they have very good data plans but they haven't skilled professionals to fix problems in a short SLA. Any, so I decided to use my home LAN - Wireless, I could authenticate but I am being prevented to navegate over the Internet. " Unable to connect to the Internet, please try later again. If the problem persists please contact your service provider." It is wierd because the wi-fi, doesn't need intervention from service provider, at least in Brazil, I can connect my HP iPAQ Voice Messenger successfully with the same AP (short for access point), and surf on the internet with no restrinctions, both devices are unlocked, and I am using my own SIM from the same service provider. I noticed that BlackBerry is not being clear with his users when it put a range of devices unlocked to be sold, or BB RIM hasn't skilled professionals to give real troubleshooting, and let the end-users rely on forums.

  • How can I update my OS5 to OS6.0 for my blackberry storm 8520

How can I update my OS5 to OS6.0 for my blackberry storm 8520 plz help anyone thanks

    Hello,
Well, first off...the 8520 is not a Storm, it's a Curve. The 9520 (which you put in your profile here) is a Storm.
So, if your question is about the 9520, then the answer is never. The Storm line is EOL, and as far as I understand, development stopped on the OS in the 5.0 range, and will never move beyond.
    Good luck!

  • Badly Need help badly with my storm 2 9520

    hi all,
i bought a storm 2 9520 from ebay with a broken digitizer cable where some1 replaced the lcd screen that was cracked...
i got a new digitizer off ebay too, and carefully striped the phone and rebuilt it replacing all the sticky stips with thin very sticky double sided tape.
when i was finished, the screen comes on nicely and the touch seems to work, but
    its completly random... and wild...
when i hi lite K or any other letter, it will randomly hi lite all other letters around it 2 - 4 letter at a time... i tried landscap and portrate and its the same...
problem is, the phone has a password (kimberly) from the owner before, which i do have but i am unable to enter it to remove it, as far as i got was Ki.
i read something about ajusting the screws help, and making sure the call button section is securely stick down... which i have been trying.
other thing too, when i try clicking the sceen, sometime it clicks once, but most other times it sounds like 20 or so clicks...
can some1 please help... my mobile was stolen new year, and i needed a replacement blackberry that i could afford and im completly lost without it and now using a moto v3 til i fix this...
could it be it needs touch screen configured? is there any other way of working or doing anything with the phone if i connected it o my laptop?

note: when i installed the digitizer to the lcd, i did wipe the lcd and digitizer with window lean to remove all the figer prints and grease.... could this have something to do with it? i did make sure it was all dry and i only used it on the glass, not the whole unit dripping...
