Blackberry Transfers

How can I transfer my purchased ring tones and photos from my old HTC Android phone to my new Blackberry Bold 9930?

What type of ringtones are they, file type?
It may be as easy as simply emailing them from the old device to the new, or if the old device is out of service, copying them to an SD media card and moving them that way, or copying to a PC and then to the new Bold.

  • How do I safely synchronize my BlackBerry Contacts with my Microsoft outlook Contacts?

I have lots of contacts on my BlackBerry, transferred from previous phones I've owned. This was the most difficult transfer I ever did as it seems BlackBerry is different to regular mobile phones. Now I would like to store all this information in Microsoft Outlook 2010. Can this easily be done?
When I'm finished I'd also like to sync with my Gmail account as well. Please help.

Finally managed to sync BB to Outlook, with help from other forums. Will probably sync between Outlook and Gmail via csv export and import.
Its a bit puzzling and disappointing that this post was viewed 50 times in 30 hours and no one attempted to help.

  • New Blackberry Questions

    Hi!
I just upgraded my Blackberry to a Curve 3G and have a few questions that I can't solve.
    1. My contact list from my old blackberry transferred over just fine but when I receive calls all that appears on the screen is the phone number and not who's calling.
    2. My phone is set on vibrate. When I receive e-mail my phone doesn't vibrate like it has on previous blackberry's to let me know when I get a new e-mail.
I've looked at the settings and seem to be missing something in order to make these things happen. Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks

  • Enormous And Unexplained Data Usage

2 months ago, my blackberry started transferring impressive amounts of data, which I discovered when I got a (delayed) alert from ATT.  In one instance, per my ATT bill, the blackberry transferred 150 MB of data, in apparently 2 minutes in London, which feels like it is bending the laws of current cell technology.  For a total monthly usage of over 450 MB until I shut down all roaming.
I have had a personal blackberry for 3 years (current one for 2). I have not changed my behavior or my applications and my usage is always a few MB per month (<20). So this recent spike is quite unusual. I travel overseas frequently and this spike was quite expensive. I have switched off roaming data, but that is now limiting my ability to read my emails (unless connected to wifi).
I have a blackberry 9900, 7.0 bundle 2392 (v7.0.0.576, Platform 5.0.0.733).  I do not use facebook or watch videos or anything.  Primary use is email (very limited and very few attachments) + consumer Bloomberg (occasionally) and some browser use.  I play Sudoku everyday.  I have taken the odd photograph, which is usually transferred during synch.
Neither the blackberry store (Singapore) nor the ATT operators can explain the spiking.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

My best advice is that you need to get ATT to escalate this issue to RIM level tier two Tech Support.
They can trace the data and see what apps or source the data was coming from.
Perhaps you had some app or OS upgrade on the device while roaming? Still though, 150mb in two mins is quite beyond belief.
I don't know what you mean by an OS reset. Have you recently upgraded your OS or did I miss you've said that?

  • My IT department transferred images from my Blackberry to my Iphone, they are in "Photo library". there is 1500  images, many are duplicates and when I hit edit, delete is not an option. how do i delete the duplicate images?

my IT department set up my Iphone and transferred the images from my Blackberry. I have over 1500 images showing in "Photo Library" and lots of them are duplicates (same image). When I hit edit it will not allow me to delete them, delete is not an option shown. How do I get rid of the duplicates?
In Photo library, when I hit edit the only avail options are share or add to. Please help, i dont want 1500 images on the phone.

Are they really duplicates or are you simply referring to the Photo Library?
Just as a song is in your itunes library and the exact same song can be accessed via a playlist, all synced photos are in the Photo Library and those exact same photos ( not duplicates) can be accessed from the chose folder/album.
You delete these pica the same way you put them there.  The sync process.  Deselect them in itunes and sync.

  • So I had pictures in an album called photo library and when i backed up my iphone to my computer, the pictures disappeared from my phone. They were pictures that had originally been transferred from my blackberry to my iphone

I had pictures that I transferred from my blackberry to my iphone and they were in an album labeled photo library. my phone needed to be replaced so I backed it up to my computer and now my photos are gone. The camera roll pictures are still there but my 800 photos from my blackberry are gone. does anyone know where i can recover them from? are they gone forever? any help would be much appreciated. thank you

I transferred my photos (I cant recall how i did) from my old blackberry to my new iphone.
    Okay.
i also imported the photos to iphoto but it was only the pictures from the last six months (camera roll).
    Okay.
I dunno if this information is useful but the photos im trying to recover were in an album called photo library and they were permanent and couldnt be edited or deleted on the iphone.
These photos were never on your Mac. iPhoto only imports from the Camera Roll. You'd have needed to use a 3rd party app to get any other photos from your phone.

  • Transfering iTunes music to Blackberry Bold.

Hello, I want to transfer my iTunes music to my blackberry bold. When I right click a song and click on Get Info where it says Kind it says Protected AAC audio file but then I have a another song that says Purchased AAC audio file. I can't transfer the music that is Protected so how can I change that so I can transfer my iTunes music to my blackberry bold?

Purchased AAC is iTunes + which should be able to be transfered. protected AAC means that it will only play in itunes or on your ipod.
There's no way of getting around it.

  • BlackBerry Media Sync Transfers Not Found

I have downloaded the newest version of BlackBerry Media Sync (BMS) and everything connects properly, it sees my BlackBerry and it sees my iTunes (playlists and all).  The problem is that after a transfer I cannot see or access any of the music files it supposedly transfered.  I have restarted both my computer and my BlackBerry Curve 8900 as well as reinstalled BMS to no avail.  BMS also cannot delete the music on my BlackBerry either.  It also says that my media card is full to the limit that I set (reached after my first ghost "transfers") and will not go back down.  Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks,

I have no idea, since I don't have a Blackberry.

  • Transfering cell phone info from my old blackberry that has a shattered screen and no service to my macbook pro using 10.6 SL

Ok some people just don't fit like the rest, and in this world I am fine with that! My situation is as the title reads I just entered, I have my old blackberry cell ph. screen is shattered and no service, it holds information and misc files I would like to be able to transfer to my macbook pro I own and currently am using 10.6 Snow Leapord. Is there anyone willing to give a round peg some square help that reads like ABC please? If a free app or like info exist that would be great, but what is most easy and painless would work, all of life's little charges will surly suck the sanity out of my sole way before the life is gone as it seems.
Thank you for the time and patience I am grateful more than at times I seem to be able to express being!
Phone is a Blackberry Perl************ (POS)*************** THE POS PART IS ONLY MY ADDED FEELINGS AT THE MOMENT PLEASE EXCUSE.

Ok the phone does get noticed and files come into a view that does allow me to see they exist, but I was thinking their must be an app or widget or WTEver they are allowing those files to be open.
Because what good is seeing a file exist that you cant view and open?
Maybe I worded my question wrong, I thought there is something a person would know of that allows the function of me connecting and reading the files to transfer and use?
Communication is such a fine line if the desired effect is understanding the whole process, like reading a file you know exist, because chances are human mental memory is not so good to completely recall its entire content.
I need this macbook to open blackberry phone files making them readable to be transferred like to a place I could recall phone numbers for future use?? ANY HELP THERE?
    Thanks a lot David Bro
