Blackberry Update Bundle 1133 Problem

Hi, 
I am having numerous problems trying to update my Blackberry Curve 9360 software.
Firstly, my blackberry is not connecting to the Desktop Manager.
When it does randomly decide to connect, it automatically starts the update, but freezes everytime at different points in the update. 
I am hesistant whether to remove my phone or not as i don't want to damage it... 
This is very frustrating as no matter what I do, it is freezing along the way and wasting 4-6 hours of my time. 
I left it on overnight last night and it still froze and couldnt complete the update.
Please help!!! 

I have been struggling with this issue for few days now , I was unable to reload the original OS that came with the device on my windows 8 as well as my Imac. The only way I could use my device is to apply what AimanSallam suggested. I don't even know if this file loads original OS or not.

    I have a message asking me to Install the Version 7.1.0 Bundle 1133 software update. Priority: Critical. 95.4MB. It says it will take 2 hours with no phone use. That's fine, so I've clicked it to do it's thing, and nothing really happens, apart from it "Verifying update..." and occasionally the little clock face pops up on top of it. Then my phone just goes dark and restarts. On restartating it displays the following message "Uncaught exception: no application instance".
    My mobile is not plugged into my laptop during this process.
    I have deleted applications like facebook and whatsapp from my phone to give it more MBs of space. 
    What am I doing wrong? Why won't it work?

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    If you can stop this, then I recommend stopping it immediately. Wireless/OTA updates take an on-device backup of your data from which they restore after the update succeeds. But, if anything goes wrong with the update, that backup file is lost forever. Hence, I always recommend NOT doing wireless updates but doing tethered updates instead. (Plus, the OTA updates eat into your data plan...)
    At the top of each device forum, there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for each model. Please use those as reference as you proceed.
    You must, of course, first have installed to your PC the RIM Desktop Software:

    From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:

    Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
    If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

    Yes, same problem too; I've already sent an email to apple support and just received a very vague and unpractical response with "call apple support in your country" as main advice. I've obviously emailed back stating that I need a clearer response and I don not have any intention to spend money calling for support when updates is a free tool. I do also believe this is a probem generated on Apple's end, I just wish they learned to say "sorry, it's us;  working on it!"

    Here is my situation: Apple iMac OSX5.8, Entourage in Microsoft Office 2008, BlackBerry Sync Manager.
    Problem: When I try to sync with my Blackberry, whole contacts are lost on my Entourage/Address Book contact list. Just disappeared!
    They are still on my Blackberry - so what happened to the sync?
    When I try to set Sync Preferences on my mac, it wants a Mobile Me account number. Is there no way to Sync without paying for a Mobile Me account??? (I have no cash for this at all, but still have the need to sync).
    Help!!!!!

    Sounds like your phone was hacked to use with your carrier.  Updating it has relocked the phone to it's original carrier.  You will not get the phone working again without a SIM from the original carrier.

    Java 6 you can't as Apple maintains it, and Java 7 you could if you uninstall it and Oracle provides the earlier version which they likely won't his last update fixed 37 remote exploits.
    Java broken some software here and there, all you'll have to do is wait for a update from the other parties.

    Do you know when this problem (for not being able to add new highlight/strikeout/underline) has started?  Did you update your iOS from 7.x to 8.0 recently?

    Make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) if you don't already have a currnet backup of the library and  apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
    Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
    Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4 as needed.
    Fix #2
    Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
    Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
    Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
    In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
    Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

    MacBook Pro 7,1 core duo 2,66GHz (2010)
    Mac Os X 10.6.3
    The Macbook fell down and the LCD screen is broken. If I run the hardware test, it fails. However, when attached to an external monitor seems to work fine. So this is the way I'm using it right now.
    PROBLEM:
    When I run Software Update an update for the system is listed among others (10.6.8 combo update). If I accept updating the system, an error occurs during installation.
    Other packages are installed without problems (if selected from the software update app excluding the system update).
    What I tried after reading some postings:
    - Running DiskUtility after booting from DVD (fixed some errors indeed, but not solving the issue. now running utility does not reveal errors but still installation fails)
    - Creating a new user with administrative privileges and trying to update from that account (no change)
    - Manually downloading updates (tried even with immediately successive update: 10.6.4) and installing manually. Same Installation failed message. Installation starts, writes files for a while and then aborts.
    I'm wandering if the installation of system software requires a hardware test to be performed and succeed.
    Any siggestion on how to overcome this problem?

    Second update regarding my problem. Despite the OS X update was successfull and any subsequent software update went through without problem, my macbook is still having problems:
    Native apps like Mail and Preview quit unexpectedly (I cant use Preview anymore. I need to use Acrobat). Mail sometimes works for half an hour, sometimes for just a couple of minutes. Firefox and Chrome (external apps) also crash more than usual even if I still can use them.
    I'm thinking that there is some extra hardware problem in addition to the broken LCD, but I'd like some help to identify it. The disk has been substituted after the accident, and even a recent scan wit Disk Utility does not reveal any problem. Could it be main memory access ? What else?
    Is there a diagnostic tool I can use? I have applecare active and somebody told me there is a diagnostic package with it but I don't know how to get it ...

  • Blackberry Desktop Software Installation Problem

    I had a problem with Roxio Media Manager continuously wanting to reinstall.  So I fixed that problem and and uninstalled the Blackberry software. I then tried to re-install the Blackberry Desktop software so I can syncronize my contacts on my home computer.  I have tried this from a downloaded version 4.6 and with the version on my Blackberry CD.  Same problem with both.
    The install starts and asks for language, then the install starts for a couple of seconds.  Then I get this message:
    Error opening installation log file.  Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable.
    I can't get past this message.  It does not say where the log file location is.  Other software installs, it is only Blackberry software that will not install.  I tried renaming CProgram Files\Common files\Installshield and making it read/write, but this install still fails with the same message.
    Any ideas to try?  Anywhere else that I can go for help?

    Thanks, that worked.
    I unzipped the file, then I opened a cmd window and manually ran msiexec with your Blackberry msi file.  I added a /L flag to put the logfile into a local logfile.txt file and everything went fine.
    Perhaps you are specifying a problematic log file name, at least for my computer?
    Anyway, this new version of Blackberry software works fine for keeping my home contacts up-to-date with my work contacts.  I'm glad I was able to install it without the Roxio media manager.  That program was driving me crazy.

    Although what Srinath is true and correct, it is advised that you always install all the enabled components. The only situations where this is not the case is where:
    1. You have a newer component than is in the bundle (i.e. you recently had a patch for that component which is newer than the bundle).
    2. You have customised the component in question for your own use - in which case a newer version would overwrite your customisations.
    Otherwise, you should install all the enabled components if possible.

When I try to reset to factory settings, I get an error also.
