BlackBerry won't work

To whom it may concern,
My blackberry has recently stopped working and it seems that the only solution is to send it in to be fixed. Is there someone from blackberry who could email me so I can discuss what to do?
Please respond with an email address or phone number where I could talk to a blackberry agent.

You need to check with WhatsApp to be sure, but it's my recollection that it requires a BIS plan to function...without it, it does not function.

    You don't need to sue, you simply need to take the battery out. And then let it cool off, sitting the battery and phone out. Leave it alone for five to ten minutes and then try it again. I warn you, waiting for a BB to load is a long process, but it's a fix-all remedy most of the time. If this doesn't work, simply take it to your phone 'carrier.'

  • Blackberry Desktop Manager won't work with Curve 9310

    Can anyone help me troubleshoot why the Blackberry Desktop Manager won't work when I plug my Balckberry Curve 9310 into the USB port.  The program freezes and shuts down.  If I try to use the device switch wizard I get this message "Fatal Error has occured while updating your device's software. Please try again."  I had to purchase a new Blackberry because my provider doesn't work in my new location so I bought StraightTalk Blackberry because I use it for business and I am familar with the phone.  I am desparate to get my connections loaded onto my new phone. Help!

    It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

  • My BlackBerry 8520 won't work

    My battery ran out this night, then I tried to switch the mobile on but it won't work. It actually turns on, but it stops at the frame with the bb logo and the charging bar. Please help me, I don't know what to do. I tried charging the battery, changing it with a new one, connecting the bb to the pc but it isn't read. Thank you all for your help!

  • Is there a way to prevent a Blackberry SIM from working in other smartphones?

    Hi all,
    Just a quick question here - we've tested and found that a SIM card with an iPhone/Android data plan on it won't work in Blackberry (at least not the data portion) but is there a way to prevent a card associated with a BES/BIS data plan from working in other Smartphones?  The data use is the big issue for us.
    I know this should be as simple as telling our users they're forbidden to do so, but... they're users, and we've had a few go a bit rogue...

    Hi Sparq,
    Current BlackBerry smartphones require access to BIS or BES, which requires special data plans, which is why the iPhone/Android data plans don't work, but as far as I know, the same restriction doesn't exist going the other way. Your best bet would be to call your service provider (in your case, Bell?) and see if they have the ability to apply a restriction on their end. That's really the best chance you'd have for blocking them out.
    Of course, if it's a serious enough issue, your company's CEO and management team could make it an offense that could result in the termination of a position as it technically could be considered theft of company assests.

  • External speaker won't work

    I have a BlackBerry Curve 8310 and the external speaker won't work. I don't get any notification of calls, texts, etc. I had a new external speaker put in but that didn't fix the problem. Anybody have any ideas of what else could be wrong? My phone is no longer under warranty, so AT&T will not replace my phone.

    The same thing happened to me. Go to Applications and then the Utilities Folder and then open the Audio Midi Setup app. Make sure the default output and system output are set to the built in output. The same symptoms happened to me when I ad reset those options to an aggregate device I created for some simple music production. Setting the above setting back to the defaults made everything better.

  • GPS won't work

    I have a 8330 and the GPS won't work.  I have Blackberry Maps and Google Maps, each says looking for satelites when trying to find where I am.  Alltel tech support says I need to pay $9.99 per month for telenav, but I hope that is not correct, since I was told GPS was on the phone when I bought it 3 weeks ago.

  • My blackberry 8830 stop working

    My blackberry's model is 8830 and its the problems is that its is not turning and keep flashing a red light. My service provider is O2 though its doesn't have the handset i have a pay as you go sim. I attached it to the computer using a usb and used the destop manager to and clicked synchronisation and after that the computer crashed and eversince the blackberry won't turn on. I got the blackberry as a present from canada  and it worked fine in uk with a pay as you go sim.

  • The 'r' won't work all and 'y' is really sensitive

    the 'r' won't work at all! Instead, when I type 'r' a 'y' comes up! And the 'y' key has become really sensitive. Its a curve 8520 if that helps. Anyone know what to do? I can't type my password in as I need an 'r' Thanks

    In this case we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry® smartphone to make sure it is running the latest version and there are no issues with the OS.

  • Touchscreen and trackpad won't work after installing new OS

    i want to ask why that after i upgraded my os, and during the start up when i have to scroll down the aggrements text  my trackpad and my touchscreen won't work. is that any way to solve this problem? i beg you to answer my question please. i would be very grateful. thanks

    Did you actually upgrade to OS 7.0 or to OS 7.1?
    What OS were you previously on that you want to downgrade to?
    For the application in question, go to Options > Device > Application Management. Find the app and delete it.
    Now, go back to AppWorld and install it again and see if it works correctly.
    For most apps that I know of, if they worked correctly on OS7, they will be fine on OS7.1

  • Convenience keys won't work...

                               To rule out any Software issue I prefer you should Reload your Device Software and see if that helps otherwise you need to contact your Service provider for repair.So please try it first.

  • Desktop Manager won't work with Bold 9900 no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall!

    This really is a shambles and Blackberry are no help!! Can you guys help!! My blackberry won't SYNC with my computer! I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, it isn't ideal at all!
    Any tips, I connect device and for hours it comes up on device manager, 'Connecting' nothing changes!

    OH! So this isn't really a sync problem, but a connectivity problem between the BB and the Desktop Software (lack of sync is a cascaded symptom, but connectivity is the root issue)...much different!     Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
    Also check on conflicting software...it has been reported that the software package NTI Shadow&Ninja can cause a conflict; removing them and reinstalling the BB desktop software allows it to install correctly.
    Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. Also apologies if any are not presently available...RIM takes them up and down at will as they revise things.

  • My Pearl keeps restarting and the trackpad won't work!

    My new Pearl 9100 keeps freezing and then restarting on itself. It's super annoying because this happens about every hour. When it restarts the entire trackpad won't work, even the button. The only way I've been able to get it to work again is to restart it until it does! It usually takes about 7 restarts until the entire trackpad will work, then it restarts again.
    Is there any suggests on what I should do? And I'm still on warrenty but Bell said they couldnt do anything about it  

    Have you already tried the following steps to reload your device software ?
    1. Verify that the Desktop Manager and BlackBerry Device Software are installed on the computer.
    2. Remove the battery from the BlackBerry. Do not re-insert.
    3. Connect the BlackBerry to the computer.
    4. On the BlackBerry Desktop Manager main screen, click Application Loader.
    5. Click Start.
    6. Click Options to select applications to be installed.
    7. Click Next.
    8. Click Next.
    9. Click Finish.
    10. When the application load starts, re-insert the battery into the BlackBerry.

  • Curve 9300 scroller won't work

    For the past few months, my scroller has been sticking and freezing, but i have managed to fix it everytime by pressing down hard or doing a battery pull. Also, the screen would just randomly turn white and then the phone would restart. The white screening was getting unbearable, so i did a software reload through desktop manager and since my scroller won't work at all. It wont select or scroll. Someone please help!!!!!!!!

    Good deal.  I still think the phone is having hardware issues from what you described and a tech will have to check it out.

  • Camera won't work. Newbie here.

    Hi guys I have just joined this forum and I wonder if you could help sort out my camera that say's .. "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again."
    I've already tried wiping all my applications on Blackberry Curve 8520 still the same. Then I tried, putting my fone on safe mode same same. Then lastly I tried the 'Alt key + lglg" to see the event logs after I choose 'Clear Logs' and this what entails..
