Blackberry z 10 device switch off automatically once it battery reaches to 20%

Hi team ,
happy week end .
I am using the blackberry z10 running on 10.2.1.537 updates The issue is once the battery reaches to 20% automatically device get Turns off ,later i should charge the battery then it get switch ON.
please  help me in finding the solution.
Thanks & Regards,
 karthik.M

The same problem was with my Z10. It was getting switched off at 20% battery. I charged my phone battery upto 100% and then removed battery keeping wall charger connected and inserted again after 1-2 mintues. The phone restarted and it started charging from 97%. It took another 20 minutes to charge 100% again. After getting 100% again I did the same and this time it started charging from 98%. The same thing I repeated 4 times and believe me when my Z10 was at 20% battery today, it did not turned off. I kept watching on this. Everyting was fine. I started charging at 9% again.
But blackberry should address this issue. Atleast some KB should be released.

  • DEVICE SWITCH OFF EVERYTIME FREQUENTLY NOW...

    Dear Concern,
As its  is a serious concern now after so many refernces i have to write the mail , i got curvw 9220 device and i am using bb from last five years as i have to be mail connected everytime , so i switched to this new curve 9220 persisting the same problem in my old handset 9320,
    >the device get switch off everytime you recieve any calls or if any mail to open or any application installation ,
    >and moreover when ur in between calls it get switch off ,
    > the device shows battery loss on full charge and get s off it shows radio signals off.

i am totally dependent on this phone and what to say its now its a nightmare for me i really getting fed up from bb , the thing is that i am a ceo of a firm and to sort out many calls and mails frequently i have ti stay connected evrytime  and if this type of service i get from the company like bb i will be very much feeling low on the part ......if any one can help out ...i have also mailed on the support for the same my request no is : INC000027333360

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
First off, to set your expectation correctly, please see this "sticky" post, along with the threads to which it links, for helpful information to guide you as you proceed:

Hopefully, this information will be of use to you.
Concerning your specific issue, please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Verizon BB 8830 WE Unlocked Shows Connected to GSM but can't make or receive Calls (Calls to the no says Device Switched Off)

    Hi!
I bought a new Verizon 8830 World Edition unlocked from ebay. I confirmed that its unlocked from MEPD command (although it says Network: ''Inactive'' instead of 'disabled').
I tried using various GSM network SIMs (India) in it and everytime, it shows an active tower and full signal levels and displays the name of the network correctly. It looks as if its connected to the GSM service at full signal.
However, placing calls fail and any call made to the number gives a 'Switched Off' message.
I am totally flummoxed and don't know what to do.
I have tried: Battery pull & Wipe out.
    About: v4.5.0.186 (Platform 3.4.0.59)
I would be very very very thankful for any pointers. Please help me!

    Hi Subhankar,
The Connections are ON, the Network Selection is Automatic and the Mode is GSM
The Connection is showing 'Connected', with Antenna and Full Signals, with the Name of the Network too.
I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting, pulling the battery many times. However, calls are not successful and the number remains 'switched off'.

  • MuVo Slim Switches Off Automatica

Hi all, i have purchased my MuVo Slim for more than a year, i tink... And the prob is that whenever my MuVo Slim receives a slight tap or a soft knock, it loses the power supply and the MuVo Slim switches off. I am very annoyed by the auto-switching off of the MP3 player. I thought it was a common problem until i searched this Discussion Forum and found out that none of the other users experiences that problem. I had post a help to the Customer Service at least once, however, there were no replies. I even sent my problem via the Customer Support. I updated my Firmware to the lastest ..03. However, I still experience the same problem. Please help...Message Edited by DominicTFY on 03-24-2005 0:59 AM

When did you e-mail Customer Support? Did you receive an auto-reply telling you your mail was received? If not, double-check the spam filter (if you have one) in case it was moved there automatically. Otherwise I'm sure someone will be in touch soon. Let us know if you don't get a response back.

Brand new iMac - click to put it to sleep but when switching off wireless keyboard/mouse it wakes up again to tell me it's searching for the mouse.

in my experience, if i switch off my wireless keyboard first, then make my mini go to sleep, it will not wake during the night.

    Three choices really,
    Send it back.
Book it into a Nokia Service centre, as it could be the power management is shot.

  • MBP switches off without warning at 15% battery

After recently upgrading to 10.6.5, I was working on my MBP and when it hit 15% of battery, without warning the laptop completely shut itself off. To reboot, I had to plug it in to power up. This has happened both times I've run low, and I have yet to get a battery low warning message, or an orderly shutdown. My MBP simply shuts off. Never had a problem like this before. Any solutions? Similar experiences?

(n_n) is correct. Modern batteries are "smart devices". They have a computer chip that informs the operating system how much power is left and the OS uses that information to approximate how much time is left before the battery is drained. Based on this information the OS can tell you how much time you have left, when you are running on reserve power and when you are close to depleting the battery. As you use the computer, running on battery and recharging it, the onboard processor and the OS get out of sync and that's what you experienced.
Apple recommends that you calibrate your battery to prevent this. I've set up a repeating calendar event to remind me every other month. My wife, whose computer use is different from mine, has her reminder set for every month.

I understand that you were using your notebook on battery power and it shut down without warning.
Here is a link to   HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 8).
The Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery is basically the driver that communicates between the computer and the battery. There is a chance that it is corrupted. It is reading the battery level wrong, so the computer thinks the battery level is higher then what is actually is, so when it runs out of juice it shuts down.
Step 1. Go to Device Manager
    Step 2. Select Batteries
Step 3. Right click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there
    Step 4. Click Uninstall
Step 5. At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver
    Step 6. Shutdown the computer
Step 7: Remove the battery for minute and then put it back in
When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver.
Step 8. Go to Device Manager
    Step 9. Select Batteries
Step 10. Right click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there
Step 11. Click "Search automatically for updated driver software"
Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller.
    Good Luck!

  • My z10 switches off at 50% battery

What is happening is that your on-device battery meter is off-sync with the actual battery charge. Connect to your OEM wall outlet battery charger and while still connected and powered on, remove the battery a minute to reboot. After reboot leave to fully charge to 100%.
Thus will reset the false charge reading. You may need to do perform this procedure 2-3 times.

  • Switching off (not rebooting) by slight jerks, and conking off at 40%

Hi my Z10 is switching off when I allow the phone to drop from a height of about 2-3 inches on a table.
    Device Details:
    Z-10 STL-1
    Software Release : 10.1.0.4181
    OS Version:10.1.0.4633
    Build ID : 556195
    Cryptographic Kernel Version : 5.6.2.4391
    Pin :{REMOVED}
Also in addition to this it switches off with around 40% battery.
    I have tried the following:
    1. Battery pulls (extensively with battery staying out for the whole night)]
    2. Reloading OSes - wiped it clean and reloaded the OS.
    3. Putting a business card in the back between the battery door and battery.
(It somehow doesn't switch off with jerks when on charging though)
My major problem though is not the jerks - it's the device switching off at 40% + battery.
and then It won't restart till I plug it in.
Mod Edit: Removed personal information to comply with Community Guidelines and Terms and Conditions of Use.

    @siddhartha_c

Seemingly Fixed as of now :
    1. Took out the battery and swapped another Z10's battery
    2. Put a Business card between the Battery door and the battery
    3. Loaded the OS 10.2
Working beautifully now for the last 11 hours.
I believe it is some issue with the new Release of the OS - should be fixed in the next release.
