Blackberry Z10 not sending/receiving emails or able to browse when connected to WiFi only via mobile network?

I have today moved from Windows Mobile device to BB Z10 and am hvaing difficutlies as cannot send/receive emails or browse when connected to work WiFi and only works via mobile network. WiFi works absolutely fine with all other devices including my previous Windows mobile but am concerned that nothing works when I connect to work WiFi as trying to keep data usage to a minimum.
Emails are coming in via Exchange Activesync in case that makes a difference and was only able to get that working when turned WiFi off when setting up as well.
Please help as mobile signal poor at home and have to rely on WiFi connections to get emails and essential i get them as cover a security support queue.........

  • I have BIS but can't send/receive email, surf with internet browser

i have BB Curve 8520. My BIS was running smoothly (sending and receiving emails real time and surfing the net through BIS), until i noticed when i tried to reply to an email that came in, it won't send. i noticed that it's fluctuating. i was able to send the email after a few minutes... then a few minutes later, i received a replied email from my friend, and when i tried to send my reply, i wasn't able to. also, i can't surf using the browser with the "internet browser" as default. i tried using my wifi and then suddenly all my emails started coming in, all emails that were not able to go through hours ago. my big question was why do i need to turn on wifi just to receive emails. but since i had my BIS for 2 months now, i can send and receive emails and surf through BIS itself without turning on the wifi.  also, i can't use any of my apps like facebook, twitter, yahoo messenger, etc.  They used to work fine with BIS... but now, i have to turn on the wifi connection, so i could log in with them.  aren't these supposed to be running through BIS only?
I have GPRS on top, not gprs.
so, i wiped out my BB and deleted all third party apps. when this was done, i received emails telling me "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network" and even got "Activation Server" emails telling me that the emails that i have previously set up are now up and running. so i thought my BB is now ok.. i tried surfing, it was okay. after like about 5 minutes, it was down again. tried sending email but can't... i turned on the wifi and boom! the emails started coming in again.
i have the Host Routing Tables and my Service Books in my BB. I have GPRS (not gprs) on top which means i have active BIS.  i have registered my HRTs several times... and resending my service books... same thing...
-My carrier has not reported any data outage.
    - I'm in an area where I've had RIM data services (for months now). It has always been working well. I've never really had any problems with my BIS until 4 days ago when it just suddenly stopped sending/receiving emails, surfing through internet browser, using facebook, twitter, ym apps, etc..
-the big mystery is when i turn on the wifi, the emails suddenly go through and i can send emails. i can open apps that used to only run on BIS. this is ok i guess, but i could never do any of these if i'm not connected to wifi.
-i've read somewhere that it may be some application error or something, so I've wiped out my BB thrice now, deleted all third party apps, everything is clean i guess, but still I end up with the same problem.
-i updated my OS, same problem.. wiped it out... used BBSAK, reinstalled OS... same thing...
can you help me out with this? i have tried battery pull, wipe out and OS reinstallation lots of times but same problem happens...

  • Iphone 3s not sending email after osi5 update, except when connected to wifi

    any info?

I have the same problem! Before the upgrade, if I wasn't connected to the internet, any messages sent to me from an iphone would convert automatically to a text message. I have payg tarriff, so I turn cell data off, as it costs too much to use it. I have wifi at home and work, but if I'm out and about, I don't receive texts from iphone users until I'm on wifi. I get them ok from non iphone users. There was never any problem until ios7

  • EDGE is in small letters and therefore I am not able to send/receive emails.

    Hi friends,
I have recently purchase 8520 curve. I am not able to send /receive emails in my mobile because the word edge appears in small letters . Please help me by letting me know the procedure to solve the problem.

Did you subscribe for BIS or paid the amount to your service provider? If so call them and request assitance with setting up your BB for internet. If you are already subscribed you can check on Manage Connections, Mobile Network Options, Data Services should be set to "On". But I suspect your BIS is not configured by your service provider so call them.

Do you have one, two or more entries in the left colum of Mail.app for your mail server(s)?  That is, do you have your Mail.app set up with either a btinternet entry, with a btyahoo entry, or both?  Or more?
I'm guessing that you might have one account (btyahoo?) listed for incoming (IMAP server) mail, and with the outbound (SMTP server) mail is configured and named btinternet.
Based on what little I see posted, it looks like BT uses both btinternet and btyahoo, but I'm not exactly clear on how they have their stuff set up, and their web set gets helpful and tries to help configure my mail — I don't immediately see a single web page with the mail server set-up details.  The BT email client set-up starts here.

  • HT201320 I am having trouble with my wife's new iPhone 5s. She can receive her telus email but can not send any email what did I do wrong in setting up her account?

I am having trouble with my wife's new iPhone 5s. She can receive her telus email but can not send any email what did I do wrong in setting up her account on her iPhone? I tried to just copy the info from her old iPhone.

The sending of email is accomplished via the SMTP server. Take a moment to get back into Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars and select the account. Go to the SMTP server and check to make sure that username and password are entered in all of the appropriate places. If you cannot get it to work after trying to just change those settings, remove the account from the phone and recreate it. When recreating, make sure you enter the username and password in every location, even if the phone says optional. Make sure you have the settings from either the email provider or from the other device. Make sure that SSL is on or off as necessary.

  • Thunderbird is no longer able to connect to internet (sending/receiving email, updating, creating a new account,...Firefox connects well

Version 24.4.0 worked fine until yesterday (2014-04-06) running under windows 8.1 and suddenly it could no longer connetc to internet (sending/receiving email, updating, creating a new account,..). No change was done on my accounts configuration. Other applications connect correctly to internet. Some Windows 8.1 updates were automaticaly applied during the same period (??).
    Any suggestion would be appreciate
    Rgds

Thank you for your answer. Of course before posting I checked the differetn relmated topics..
As I explained nothing changed between the moment Thunderbird worked and the moment it stopped working. I checked the firewall (Norton intenet security) and the firewall of my router (Netgear). Nothing relates to Thunderbird.
I cans get my mail from another workqtation (ubuntu/evolution) with the same provider (same parameters). I just wonder if the last windows 8.1 updates could provoke this trouble...
For the moment I cannot get rid of this.

So we have brought it but cannot get an help to configure it at all.
I urgently need to set it up to ge email in and send it, also to get access to the internet.
    Can someone help please?
#1: Get the Internet access point settings from your network operator. (If you have problems with this step, start a new discussion topic/thread.)
#2: Get the email account details from your email service provider (username & password, POP3 or IMAP4 server name, SMTP server name, any particularities regarding security settings, port numbers, etc). Note: You might have to use your network operator's SMTP server for sending, instead of the email provider's SMTP server (if they are different, and if your operator has prevented access to other SMTP servers than their own).
#3: In the Messaging app on the phone, hit "Options" (or whatever it is in Italian), choose "Settings", then "E-mail" and finally "Mailboxes". Create a new mailbox using the access point name from step #1 and the details from #2.
#4: Now your mailbox is usable and you should be able to send/receive email.

  • Thunderbird config to send/receive email

I tried configuring Thunderbird to send/receive email from my new verizon fios account.  Simple Pop3 - how hard can it be?  Well, using the settings provided, I am unable to send or receive email.  I called and talked to tech support and they said they don't support Thunderbird, but I could talk to 'premium' support since they have no support boundaries.  Well, I don't think I should have to pay to get my email setup to a POP3 client.
    Here's my current config:
    Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.23
    Account:
    Server Type: POP Mail Server
    Server Name: incoming.yahoo.verizon.net
    Port 110
    User Name: myname
Security Settings: Use Secure Connection: never
Use secure authentication - not checked
    SMTP Server
    Server Name: outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net
    Port: 25
    User secure connection: no
When trying to send an email I get:
Sending of message failed.  The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net failed.  The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections.  Please verify...
When I try to get mail I get:
Sending of password did not succeed.  Mail server incoming.yahoo.verizon.net responded:  Error logging in.  Please visit http://mail.yahoo.com
    Any help would be appreciated.

    winsomesmile wrote:
That was the one thing the tech told me on the phone - to use verizon.yahoo.net for incoming and outgoing instead of verizon.net
Other than that, I'm not sure where else to check that that is correct.
If the agent told you to use the Yahoo servers, they were probably right. If you want to verify, you can log into your account at www.verizon.net and it should say that you have a Verizon with Yahoo account.
    As for the settings:
    1. Make sure the username and password that you have are the correct ones. Logging in to verizon.net will verify this.
    2. Check your incoming server settings. They should look something like the following image. (Of course, where the example just says "username" your username should be filled in.)
    3. Check your outgoing server settings. They should look something like the following image. (Of course, where the example just says "username" your username should be filled in.)
    4. Make sure that the password you are entering is correct. I suggest typing it out in a notepad then using copy and paste to verify that it is correct, since it will appear as asterisks in Thunderbird. Once you have successfully sent and received a test message, you might consider checking the box for remembering your password, although this is less secure than typing it in every time.
