i have a blackberry z10 stl100-1 and that is the model avalabole for my country which have low procesor and difrrent spec than other blackberry i paid 720 $ for it and thats what i get and it cant even run some games wtf blackberry i'm a loyal fan and i supported you all the way and that how you treat your custemer in africa and asia and uerope thanks i think i'm going to change to iphone wich i hate but i know i will get the same spec as every body else at least make all the apss and games work for us

According to the information about the game on BlackBerry World it's available on all BB10 devices. However, it is not available in all countries. Where are you located?

Hi, My connection to the AOL IMAP server has suddenly failed - Says "Not Connected" on Accounts page
I haven't changed anything and this just started failing this morning.
I've saw same issue on my Blackberry PlayBook 64GB.

HUB showing contact number with country code and not with its name..blackberry Z10 STL100-2

I have an issue with Text Messages and call lists, in my blackberry Z10 (STL100-2), which is, If I have not saved my contact numbers without country code, the msg may appear in local formate (w/o country code), and it also appear as International formate (another times), and though the number is same (only saperate is country code) in the hub, it appear as two conversation. for eg: if I sent txt to 9899100 (w/o country code), reply used to come as +960-9899100. or vice-versa.
So its very difficult. and here i came for help.

The movies were all on my SD card. They are also not backed up by Link which is why had them synced to my phone as a poor man's backup.
So either Link did not backup the necessary licensing information in the main memory of my phone, or Link did not synchronize the necessary licensing information off my SD card. Either way I am stuck with 3 movies that I cannot play, because I can no longer find them in the BlackBerry World store to re-dowbload whatever licensing information is needed.
I even just tried a media restore from Link because it was 138 MB in size (and in don't normally store anything on my phone's main storage), but alas no licensing information was restored.

Blackberry z10 Wifi Connection problem

Just acquired Blackberry Z10, and transferred contacts, accounts from Curve 9300.
Can anybody please help with failure to reconnect to saved wifi networks?
I have a blackberry z10 and have found that when Idiscoonect from home or work wifi (by leaving work /home) when I return to the wifi area the phone does not reconnect unless I switch off/on wifi on phone.
Phone is Z10 model STL100-2
Software is 10.1.0.4181

There seems to be at least a workaround for this problem.
Last week I sselected the "Hidden SSID" setting for my wifi accounts on my BB Z10
It has connected automatically to work & home networks since then.
Suggest you try this.

Recently there was a problem with an update of Maps. Maybe they haven't sorted yet. It would install and then crash. I always end up buying an after-market map system that runs on GPS using maps on board the SD card. Interesting, I'm going to Kazakhstan next month. How's the weather in September?

BlackBerry z10 device memory problem

I have a problem with my BlackBerry z10 device memory. Over time the so called "other data" keep growing, eating up the internal memory even though i didn't install new apps. So now i have less than 1 gb free storage and keep getting message that i should move some files to the external memory. The "other data" is now at 14.8 gb. BlackBerry 10 os don't let us see the content of this data but i know that all of the apps i installed take less than 4 gb. I wanna find the solution before i factory reset my z10. I don't like to have to install all those apps again.

MaxMem was a tool that could "free up space" in OS's 4.2 to 6.0. It hasn't been updated since sometime in 2008. There is no BB10 version.

2015 / BlackBerry Z10 (STL100-2) stuck at 99% OS 10.3 ...

Hello, Yesterday my device said it had an update (10.3) and it's now stuck on the boot screen (installing updates / starting BlackBerry 10 OS) at 98%, it goes really slow to 98% (12 hours). I've tried to reinstall 3 times now, and it's always the same, takes ages to get to 98% and stays there. What to do?

And before you get to excited, I downloaded the one for 10.3 as well, and guess what, we're stuck at 97% for 5minutes now, I see where this is going--but at least you can download a decent version of 10.2.... Those work fine. Download for STL100-2 if you have a European Z10 like me.

BlackBerry Z10 STL100-1 vs. STL100-2

I need some help here. I'm currently living in Saudi Arabia and at the time being there is an uproar (for the knowledeable people) that BlackBerry and the local carriers have decided to bring to this region a 3G (RFG81UW) only version when most of the carriers support 4G frequencies compatible with that of the UK's. While I prefer not to express my views on this matter, I would say being disappointed would be a major, major understatement.
Regardless, I've taken the decision to purchase a UK version (STL100-2) versus the STL100-1 version we get here because it supports 4G and runs using the same frequencies as the major carriers here.
However, someone recently bought his from the UK and is currently running it on Zain's network which also supports 4G. He claims that whenever he goes into settings and toggles to 4G, the device switches back the setting to 3G, 2G, etc.
Hes speaking of the actual setting itself and not what is showing on the home screen network. Why would this be the case? The phone that he replaced it with was a Samsung S3 LTE version and it ran 4G just fine.
Could someone give me an answer so I can figure out what I need to do? Thanks!

I got a secondhand z10 today and decided to do a security wipe and now the phone wont work. It says unable to connect to update server after sofware update. ?? I don't know what to do please help

Just a tip, anytime you commence an upgrade or such, make sure you are connected to the charger. Losing power during an upgrade can certainly brick your device.
And there is nothing wrong with performing an upgrade over USB connected to the PC via the BlackBerry Link software. I've done it four or five times now on my Z10. BlackBerry provided that method of updates for a reason and wouldn't have done were it not a feasible option.

Blackberry Z10 when I upload songs to my SD card a lot of the songs are missing.

Hi, I bought a Class 6 64GB SD Card, and I have Blackberry Z10 STL100-2 Black with the version 10.2.1.2102. My problem it have 1304 songs to put on my SD card and when I do and over half the song doesn't appear and if they do some are broken. I have tried everything and all my songs are mp3 files and it all works on my Blackberry Curve 9300.
Please help SONG IS WHAT KEEPS ME ALIVE!!!

For MP3s, like GhostFX said, basically any class of memory card will do it.

Z10 -STL100 battery stop recharging after every 1%

Hi,
I bought a new blackberry Z10- STL100-1 a month back. OS ver : 10.2.1.3247.
Till now it worked perfectly fine, but yesterday suddenly battery got heated up itself ( though none of the apps were running in background and phone was kept in pocket) and also got freezed. so i restarted the phone and then the whole problem started.
phone battery indicater would show 0% battery and orange indicator light starts blinking continiously. though phone still worked for 8 hours inspite of that low battery indication ( which basically meant that battery is perfectly fine).
BTW my battery no. is :BAT47277-003
Used BB virtual expert for battery indication and figured out that after every 1% it indicates "Not charging" if i unplug the USB chargeing port from phone and reconnect it, indication start showing "Charging" status.
I did use prescribed method of pulling out battery while wallcharger is plugged in but it didnt work.
Please assist.

Your battery percentage being read the on-device software is off kilter.
I would do just as you said you have already a few more times, charge to 100% and while at 100% and still connected to the charger, remove the battery for a minute, and reinsert. You may need to do a few times over a couple days.

This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
Firefox (from Mozilla)
Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
