Blackberry z10 won't connect to PC

To elaborate: I had wireless connection turned on by default, and was getting a popup every few minutes saying it was connecting or something.  Downloaded BB link twice (and installed fine as far as I can tell) and it recognizes my phone, as well as shows any media I have on it, but if I try to sync any images to my desktop it spends a good five minutes or so saying it's preparing to sync and then just gives me a connection error. I turned off wireless sync and tried the wired version.  Plugging it in makes the new device connected sound, followed by a popup saying it's been connected and is initializing device access. Any help?

Okay so I found the option that lets you use your blackberry like a USB drive.  Now when it connects I don't get a message, and can open it to view the files. In Blackberry link, however it doesn't show up at all, and I can't seem to access files on the phone's storage, only the SD card (I think). Turning off that gives me a windows popup message saying " installing device driver software" and then "blackberry device manager initializing storage volume access" and then to restart my computer for the changes to take effect. After a restart windows gives me the "initializing" message again.  Link is showing my phone and all it's files.  Trying to sync to desktop gives me the "preparing to sync", and the circle has been spinning around for about 8 minutes now. Edit: Okay I left it for about 45 minutes, came back, and the circle is still spinning, but if I mouseover it, the popup says "connection error" and if I click on it says: "There was a problem accessing the drive(s) on this device.  Disconnect and reconnect your device, and try again." Which I have done about a dozen times now, all with the same issue.  Hope that helps. Also: just noticed on BB Link that when I have my z10 selected it says FREE:0KB but I know for a fact I have free space on both my phone AND media card.

  • BlackBerry Z10 3G not connecting Automatically

Hi, I recently purchased Z10 and i am using BB Services from the provider. I noticed a strange problem that Z10 fails to connect to 3G when i go out from office or home. in both places i have Wifi and Z10 connects to it as soon as i enter to the coverage area. When i go out, it normally connects to the 3G from the provider. Sometimes it doesnt. it shows small 'h' in the signal status with full coverage. I believe Captial H must be the 3G coverage with full speed. When i try to access the mails i realized that there is no connection when it is 'h' in the signal status. at the same spot, i restarted my Z10 and it connects to 3G with capital H in the signal status. So it needs restarts to connect to the 3G whenever its signal changed to 'h'. Are there anyone facing such issues? please help

  • BlackBerry Z10 won't turn on and red led blinks 4 times

    Hi all,
Yesterday my BlackBerry Z10 suddently turned off, I turned it on again and it worked fine for a few minutes (battery was around 90% full), then it turned off again and I couldn't turn it on anymore! The red led is blinking 4 times with a 3 seconds interval between each 4 blinks sequence. I tried to charge the battery, connect it to the computer, turn it on without the battery (with charger on), with no success. Sometimes, it shows the BlackBerry logo, or even the logo with the % loading, but then it turns off in the middle of the process, on random percentages.
Does anyone know what happened to the phone and how to solve this issue?
    Thanks!
    V

Mine keeps turning off... I called them and they told me to send the phone to Blackberry by mail to check what's wrong and that when the phone gets there, they do a complete evaluation and in 30 days they send the phone back... In other words, I have to buy another phone! Blackberry assistance is useless...

  • HELP blackberry z10 won't start

I got the new blackberry z10, was very excited but am now having great difficulties with it. I have had it for a couple of weeks and it was working fine. 2 days ago it wouldn't turn on.  I have taken the battery out and it back in, nothing. Charged it for a whole day, nothing. I am very frustrated as I am travelling right now and rely on my phone for everything. Is there a solution to this or should I return the phone and go with another brand?

Take it to the dealer and get it exchanged. It is unfortunate if you got a defective phone. This can happen with anything that is working with elecronics or mechanics. We have a number of these phones and they are all working very well.
Once you learn the phone and are used to it, you will like it a lot!

  • Blackberry Z10 won't stayed synched to outlook or hotmail since OS10.2 update

I'm having such a nightmare with my Blackberry z10 that after 7 years as a loyal customer, I'm thinking of abandoning the brand altogether.
Every system update completely turns my phone upside down - all  my settings are reset, ringtones are changed and contacts deleted. The phone increasingly runs less well. I can't even directly input dates into my calendar (I have to go through outlook) as the handset mysteriously erases them (but always reminds me of people's birthdays - a day too early). I have so many duplicate entries in my contacts list that it's ridiculous. Screens stick, twitter and facebook don't run well and now the battery drains twice as fast.
Now, my major problem is that my phone doesn't stay synched to my email accounts. I have to re-enter my password several times a day. Does anyone have a solution for this?
I'm going to stop downloading updates to the software until my contract with this phone expires. Total disaster.

Have you tried Battery Pullout , Restarting , Wiping , Updating etc

  • Blackberry Z10 won't turn on after software update. Black screen and LED light blinking

Im using BB Z10 (stl-100-1 ) os version 10.3.1 for 9 months, recent days it hangs a lot and  it hanged later  not turning on and red led has been blinking simultanously. please help me

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs. If it fails, please do it again but increase the step 4 wait time to 2 hours, and perhaps as long as 4-5 hours.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

Why are they not helping you more since what you say they caused the issue.
Can you connect to your Carrier ?
Is it only the email account (s) that has a issue ?  How many do you have ?
Did you reinstall the account (s) ?
Did you check the settings of your email account on your computer or on the Web ?
First try changing just your password on the Web then on your phone.

As far as I know, you can't connect your Playbook with a computer with Windows 8. There are different threads in many forums. I can't tell you why, but it seems that the PB and Windows 8 don't like each other

  • 9360 won't connect to wifi

My blackberry 9360 won't connect to my home wifi, I click to turn on the wifi and it shows the little green circle spin round forever and doesn't turn on my wifi. I put my sim in other phones and it has connected it wifi I have wiped my blackberry and it won't work Please help

    Hey Ofwgzakta,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
When was the last time the Wi-Fi was working on the BlackBerry Curve 9360 smartphone?  I would suggest creating a backup of your data through BlackBerry Desktop Software (Device>Backup) and then follow the steps in this KB article: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320
Then test the Wi-Fi prior to restoring any data.  If the issue still persists, then I suggest contacting your network service provider for repair options.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Blackberry Z10 - VPN FritzBox

    MfG Translate with Google:Hello,
I have a VPN connection, for example, from Iphone or Ipad or various Android phone to my home network into an AVM Fritz box
However, with the same SIM card and the same settings using the BlackBerry Z10 not establish connection!
No matter what combination of protocols Gadeway or passwords and so on to choose - with the Z10 I can not connect!
With the Ipad or Android goes wonderfully with the same settings!
When Z10 is always just time out or General Error!?
What am I doing wrong? how accurate are the setting for BlackBerry Z10 to AVM Fritz box!
Have stayed in various forums and searched on Google, but so far no success ...
    Thanks....

    hmm,
AVM released last weeks a new Firmware Update mit small improvements of their xauth VPN. Maybe it work now with BB OS 10.3.x. Iy you have a try use the android settings that recommended from the VPN wizard on AVM Fritzbox.see: http://avm.de/service/downloads/update-news/download/show/16020/ btw. I try a Lancom 1781AW ADSL and a Bintec RS232B Router too - that works very well with BB devices ... If you don´t need VoIP capatibelities of our Fritzbox that is a goos SOHO alternative. ;-) brMike

  • Blackberry Z10 connection with an Aironet Cisco Access Point 1200

    Hi everybody,
I'm trying without success a connection between a Blackberry Z10 and an Aironet Cisco Access Point 1200.
We have no BB Server, we would like just to connect the WIFI.
I've checked this points during the activation of the device:
    There's no LEAP protocolle.
    There's an EAP-Fast possibility.
    There's Mac Address recognition possibility.
When we try to use the EAP-Fast possibility, we generate a .pac file, but i don't know where i can put this file so that the Blackberry recognize this file. I've search the whole day and didn't find anything... there's simply no explanation with the Z10 around the .pac file without a BB Server.
I've try the Mac Address recognition and it simply doesn't work (no error the search time is too long)
Every other older smartphones - Blackberry (there's 4 devices) are working.
Anyone have an idea about? a suggestion? a list of compatible WIFI Devices?
    Thank you ahead.
    Have a nice day.
    Joel.

Sorry i don't understand your answer.
I'm not a developper but a system administrator.
I just would like to use a Balckberry Z10 with our Wifi/Router Aironet Access Point 1200.
    not more.
    Best regards,
    Joel

  • Connect Blackberry Z10-Smartphone to handsfree equipment (Bury CC 9068)

    Hi,
I want to connect my Blackberry Z10-Smartphone to my handsfree equipment (Bury CC 9068) in my car. I tried to download the 'Bury CC 9068 App' from the Blackberry App world, but I couldn't download it. It was said that it isn't available for the phone. Although it's said on the Bury-homepage that the phone is compatible to the Bury cc 9068.
The normal Bluetooth-connection doesn't work either. What can I do??

  • Please Help. Message pops up when I try to connect my blackberry z10 to Linc.

    Please help.
I downloaded the Linc Software and also restarted the computer numerous times.
Each time when I try to connect my blackberry z10 to my computer the following message pops up:
    "Files Needed
The file 'rndismpx sys' on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD is needed.
Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK."
Please help I have no idea how to make my new z10 connect to the Linc because this message keeps poping up and I don't have any CD's.
    Thanks so much.

Never give up:  Unininstall Link then do a search and remove all BB and Link files.
Reinstall Link, if you still have the same issue uninstall Link and all BB files.
Depending on what you want to do attaching phone and computer BB Device Manager might be sufficiant
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Z10/DIAL-KEYBOARD/td-p/2662937
If you do install BB Device Manager and have the same issue it could be computer related.
Before doing the above check to see if you have the file    rndismpx.sys   on your system, it is located here:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers     probablly not there.
Two choices: uninstall SP3 and reinstall  or find the file on another computer copy it then paste it in the location mentioned above.
XP is 12 years old and normally OS is supported for 8 years but was extended for 4 years.
April 8 2014 all support for XP ends, that means no more Security or any Updates.
Eventually you will have to get a new computer. Only 4 months left.
You could check again on the Web for that file, it should be available.
