Blackberry Z10 wont turn on

Hi,
I upgraded today and asked my service provider to transfer my data to the new phone, in that time my blackberry went of and now it doesn't want to restart, not even on blackberry link, it doesn't even give me a red light if I try to push the start button, what should I do as all my personal data is still on the blackberry and dont want to lose my info.

Plug it into a wall charger for a couple hours.

I was wondering if anyone can help me turn my phone on. It froze this morning so i removed the battery. The red light flashed and it came on to the black screen where its only the word Blackverry ( in white) andit wont go further than that? I have removed the battery a number of times, had it on charge, tried to link it to the PC without any luck, and it still wont go further than that first screen. Please help.

    Hey Stacyb22,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
I'd suggest trying a different battery in the BlackBerry and if it still doesn't respond, contact your network service provider for exchange/repair options.

  • BlackBerry Z10 randomly turning on by itself

    Hello everyone,
I have 2 BlackBerry Z10 phones experiencing a weird issue; randomly, the phones will turn on by themselves when they are powered off. This issue has been happening since 10.2.1, and is still occurring on 10.3.1. I have not noticed any event that would cause this to occur. I will have the phone powered off and then notice all of a sudden that it is turned on and looking at the boot time it could be a time when no one could have turned it on. The fact that this is happening on 2 Z10s is concerning me and I wish to know if this issue has happened to anyone else. Both phones are out of warranty so replacing them is out of the question. I have also factory defaulted both phones in an attempt to resolve this, but to no avail. Mind you the issue is a minor annoyance, I would still like to get to the bottom of this.
    Thanks for any help!

The only suspicion I have is that you have an alarm or a reminder set. I haven't looked at this since my BBOS days, and I don't know if the BB10 OS does the same thing. But should be easy to test. If that isn't it then I don't know.

Check your Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network > Network Technology, is yours set to 2g only?
What other choices there do you see?

  • Blackberry Z10 getting turned-off on 15-17% battery level

I have been using Blackberry Z10 for 2-3 month without any problem, but suddenly my mobile is getting turned-off every time its battery level reaches around 15%.
Suggest any solution to this problem.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs. If that does not help, then redo the process, but this time increase the wait time in step 4 to 2 hours, and perhaps as long as 4-5 hours.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

You may have to take it to the store if this doesn't work.  Of course try a battery pull too.

  • Blackberry Classic wont turn off or on

Have a Classic, the red light is flashing once then 6 times fast then repeats. It wont turn off or on?

Looks like a problem with the battery.
With other models you could remove the battery and place it back again, but here... more difficult to perform!
Maybe you should consider to bring it back for service.

  • Z10 wont turn on after OS update

I had my Z10 plugged in while I was updating the new OS. Left it for the night and when I got up the next morning it wouldn't turn on, despite the fact that it was still on when I went to bed. I've tried another charger, tried plugging into the computer with and without a battery. Computer won't recognize that it's plugged in and without a battery, the LED only comes on briefly when being plugged in. I switched batteries with my wife's phone and my battery works fine in her phone with 70% charge. Using her battery, the phone started to boot up, but won't progress passed the blank screen with blackberry written in white across it. I tried it a few times with no further progress. Then I tried to turn off the phone and now it does nothing when I change batteries. I assume there was an issue with the OS update, but dont know what to do next. Suggestions?

If your phone's data is already backed up, you can try the autoloader procedure here:
    https://developer.blackberry.com/devzone/blackberry10devalpha/devalpha_update.html
This will install a developer version of the OS, that will not be complete (apps like the clock, etc. will be missing).
Install a developer OS version that is old, so that it will be out of date vs. what your carrier currently supports.  Once the autoloader procedure is done, go back through the initial device setup and get your wifi etc. set up.  Then go check for updates under the settings app, and load the production consumer OS version from your carrier.
Once your phone is usable again, you may want to download the free BBVE diagnostics app and run the hardware tests.

  • My blackberry z10 wont install any downloaded apps

My z10 since the latest os upgrade cannot install apps from anywhere even blackberry world I have 10.2.1.3062 os
How can I sort this out

    Here's what I would do.
Make a full backup of the device:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB33526
Then do a Security Wipe on the device:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB33591
After the device boots back up, but before restoring your backup file, try installing an app and see what happens.

  • Z10 WONT TURN ON

I was using my z10 and it was at 4% and then it said turning off device. Then I thought oh I will just go home and charge it. I left it to charge over night and I checked in the morning and it wouldn't turn on. I tried charging it for another day, still doesn't work. I also tried using another battery still doesn't work. The firmware I was on was not the recent on older than that.

  • Blackberry Z10 wont boot

    Hi
One of my users brought a defective Z10.
Here is the list of symptoms
unplugged, with battery inserted, holding the power button down 10 seconds: nothing happens
plugged, with battery inserted, holding the power button down 10 seconds: 2 quick red led flashes
plugged, with no battery: led is lit red, but seems to blink very fast each 1/2 seconds, for 5 minutes then the red led goes off
I think it's dead, I'm not an electrician but that Z10 seems to have a short or something
Thanks for any help you could provide

  • Blackberry 9300 wont turn on

    Hello everybody,
This afternoon i was using my BB curve 9300 in the sun and it got really hot.(I dont think this is the problem though because of what i'm going to say next)After that it cooled off and i used it for a really long time after that. I  realized that my phone battery was very low, so i decided to charge it. Now, i'm not sure if this happened before or after i plugged it in because it was spontaneous;when i was going to plug it in the LED light went red and it died but right before it still had a good 30 minutes left of battery. I left it charging because i had'nt noticed it died and when i came back it didnt turn on. After that i looked up a solution on the internet and the people who seemed to have the same probel said that all they did was that they blew on the 4 golden things on their phone and battery and it worked, I tried it but it didnt work for me. I event tried using a compressed air cleaner and it didnt work. But the people from the internet also said that sometimes their LED would turn red but mine had no sign of life. I tried changing the battery and it didnt work but when i put my battery into a friend's phone it worked for them, so clearly the problem isn't the battery. I am going to send my phone to be fixed sometime soon but for the meantime; if you could please give a suggestion that could help then i will very much appreciate it.
    Kindest regards, Pewis

That kind of heat can ruin a Lithium Ion battery (it's also not good for the display.) My guess is the battery is toast. Can you get to a store and try another battery?
