Blackmagic Decklink card not showing up in Playback settings

Just upgraded to Premiere Pro CC - my Blackmagic Decklink card is not showing up in the Playback settings box.

Hi Peter - thanks for responding - yes I did install the latest drivers - but finally found a thread that solved the issue.  Turns out Blackmagic installs the drivers in its own Adobe folder - but Adobe only wants to see them in its own special folder (Application Support>Common>Adobe).  Once I moved everything from the one folder to the other, then Premiere could see the card just fine.  They should be definitely look at a better way of dealing with this - so it doesn't become an emergency science project for people like me.
Anyway, case closed - for now.  Thanks.

  • Blackmagic decklink card not detected

I use a decklink mini recorder card to broadcast a live show on Youtube.
Recently i upgrade my operating system to Mac OS X Yosemite.
Since then when i try to select my camera source from the flash media player settings, the menu only shows me the integrated camera and not my video card.
I have the latest drivers for the video card.
I did a test using different browsers and got the same result.
Flash Media Live Encoder detects the card and the video source correctly and everything works,
but the problem is when trying to select the video source /or camera from the flash player settings using a browser.

The list of available hardware is exposed to Flash by the OS and browser, so it's probably a problem upstream from us.  We test primarily with USB webcams, which continue to work as expected.
That said, I've filed the following bug on your behalf - we might be able to pin it down and escalate it to Apple in a more effective way:
Bug#3858357 - Yosemite - Video Recorder Card no longer displayed as a video input option after OS upgrade
You may want to consider downgrading or dual-booting to OS 10.9 if this is a mission-critical task for you.  Given the interdependencies here, this is not something that's going to get fixed in a few days.

  • SD Card not showing after Mountain Lion Update

This matter has been discussed for some time now in
Apple Support Communities > Desktop Computers > iMac (Intel) > Discussions
SD Card not showing after Mountain lion Update
Since the update to Mountain Lion, the SD slot does not show up in Finder.
Someone gave a fix using the killall in Terminal, and that worked only once.  I have not been able to get that fix to work again.
The only saving grace for me is that my SD Card us is always from my Nikon camera, and Nikon ViewNX 2 software is able to see and read from the card.
Killall may have worked partially in that I no longer get the error message telling me that I have removed the SD card improperly, and need to dismount it first.
However, Finder still cannot see it.

Those are basics ... Been there, done that, first.
Then you should hava posted all the troubleshooting you already accomplished.
Does the card show up in System Information? Or is that another one of the "basics" you've already looked into?
Does it show up in Disk Utility? If so, have you tried formatting it there to determine if it is a formatting problem?

  • Why is the software update not showing up in general settings?

Why does my software update not show up in general settings?

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 7.1.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.
You can no longer update to iOS 6.x, or down grade the iOS.

iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623
If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and antivirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 7.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.
How to Upgrade to iOS 7
The iOS 7.0 update requires around 2.5 GB of storage space, so if your iPad is almost full, you may need to clear up some space. You can check your available space in Settings -> General -> Usage.
There are two ways to upgrade to iOS 7: You can use your Wi-Fi connection, or you can connect your iPad to your PC and update through iTunes. We'll go over each method.
    To upgrade using Wi-Fi:
Note: If your iPad's battery is under 50%, you will want to plug it into your charger while performing the update.
    Go into the iPad's Settings.
Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.
The second option from the top is "Software Update". Tap this to move into the update settings.
Tap "Download and Install". This will start the upgrade, which will take several minutes and will reboot your iPad during the process. If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
    To upgrade using iTunes:
First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
Now you are ready to begin the process:
If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.
     Cheers, Tom

  • Output To My Blackmagic Decklink Card

I need to use my Decklink card with my Adobe Premiere Pro in Creative cloud.
How do do set the Playback preferences if I cant see the Blackmagic device in my Preferences window?
Do i need to install this Mercury Transmit or some other drivers?
The Blackmagic device works fine with Adobe After effects. Why is it different with Premiere pro?

for what it's worth, i tried two things... in this order.
    #1. (taken from another search)
    https://forums.adobe.com/message/6482350
    a. clean uninstall of the desktop video 10.0.1
    b. install of the desktop video 9.9.3 (at this point transmit doesn't work)
    c. installation of the 10.0.1 over the 9.9.3 (with no clean uninstall)
this may or may not have helped the situation...
#2. it appears (also mentioned - er "argued" - in other threads) that this situation doesnt like "non-standard" frame rates. simply changing my AE composition from 23.98 to 23.976 immediately fixed the problem.

  • HD video from SD Card not showing up in Iphoto or Imovie

When I put my SD card in, Iphoto comes up and has my pictures but not my HD video.  I tried to import in Imovie and then went under my SD card file and the video still is not showing.  The video is 100% on the SD card. They showed up when I imported my pictures and videos using windows on my mini toshiba. I want to edit the video on Imovie though..  Why wont they show?

As AussieDJ suggested - have your copied the files from the SD card to your hard drive? You should be able to open them in QuickTime or, at least, VLC DVD Player. I get from your message that you just want to watch the movies and not edit them?
First, copy the movies onto your hard drive. Open QuickTime player and try to watch them there. If that fails, try downloading VLC DVD Player, open it and then try to view your movies.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • SD or CF cards not showing up in Finder

Hello all.  I edit with FCP and always have created images of my SD and CF cards. When ready to edit I mount and import. I have noticed lately that I do not see the image of the card once mounted in finder.  I see it in my desktop and disk utility but not in finder. I can mount anything else like a program and shows up find in finder. I went ahead and used my reader and put in an SD card. Same thing. I used another reader, same thing as well.  Any suggestions on how I can get the card to show up in finder?  Thanks

On the General Tab I do have external disks checked and in Sidebar, the card does not show up.  I did check the overall computername and within I see the card, but does not show up on sidebar.

  • MacBook Pro with Draft n card - not showing n

I just got a Dell 1500 draft n card for my CoreDuo MacBook Pro. I installed it and the n enabler utility, but it is still not showing up as n compatible in Network Utility.
I have installed the AirPort Base Station Updater, repaired permissions, rebooted, installed the n enabler again, etc. But still no joy.
    Any ideas?
    Phil

Are you sure the enabler ran? Early reports said that the enabler would not run on a Macbook CoreDuo. However it worked fine for me for the when I installed the "n" card for the Macpro in my Macbook CoreDuo.
    Check out the following
    http://xlr8yourmac.com/systems/macbookprowireless_N_upgrade/macbookpro_N_cardinstall.html#storytop
Others say you need to use Pacifist to extract and run the enabler on a CoreDuo (again check the article). Also I have read somewhere that you can edit the installer to change a parameter value so that it will run on a core duo (I tried to find it but couldn't).
Don't give up - I have a great increase in range and speed. I was able to replace an old Airport extreme and 2 airport expreeses with a single new airport extreme.
    Good luck.

  • SD card not showing

    Hi;
I have been successfully downloading pix from my camera by inserting the SD card into a slot in my monitor (Dell). Today, the SD card does not show up as a drive. I tried other SD cards to no avail. I then inserted the SD card back into the camera and connected with the supplied USB cable. Still nix.
    What has happened?
    Chris

    Hi BD;
Found the little sucker (smaller than I thought and not where any of the sample layouts shown but marked PMU reset) and pressed it — I think I did, because got no tactile feedback that I did anything.
    Nada.
I tried mounting it with Disk Utilities but the mount button is grayed out.
I tried using a different camera that worked previously. Nope.
Checked and swithed the USB cable from my monitor. Nope.
To recap, two differnt cameras, one card reader, three different SD cards: all fail to mount.
    Hmmm . . .

I have been using Final Cut Pro X on a Macbook Air (1.7ghz Intel i5, 256gb ssd, 4gb RAM) and when I insert an SD Card, it shows up but immediately disappears. It continues to be displayed on my friends MacBook Pro, but does not on my Air.

Apologies! All sorted. My mac was just taking so long to render the audio lol
Still having issues with syncing audio (zoom h4n) video clips (multicam clip or sync clips). Normally works like a dream even on difficult material, but for some reason now randomly sync's clips way off the mark.

  • Mac Mini Early 2006 Mini PCIe SATA Card Not Showing Up

I'm trying to add a couple of SATA ports to an early 2006 mac mini by swapping out the mini PCIe AirPort for a SATA card. This is the card I'm using http://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapters/HDD-Controllers/SATA-Cards/2-Port-Mini-PC I-Express-Internal-SATA-II-Controller-Card~MPEXSATA22I, problem is it doesn't seem to show up when installed in the mac. The card works perfectly when installed in a different machine.
The AirPort card shows up fine when swapped back, so the connector's okay. But with the SATA card installed, System Profiler says the computer doesn't contain any PCI cards. I've tried resetting the NVRAM with no success. I don't even see an entry for the device it in the ioreg output, so I'm thinking there might be a power issue. Does the mac mini supply both 3.3V and 5V to the mini PCIe connector? Is there anything special I need to do to get this card to show up?
    Thanks.

There a long thread about this on the 123MacMini forum.  At page three, they mention drivers (you need drivers, right?) and there is a link...

Actually, that thread might refer to a different, but similar, card.
Don't know if it finally worked.  Be very interested to hear.  (Not sure why Apple is/has always shunned eSATA?)

It was my impression that the handheld SD card should show on the Desktop when the handlehld is connected by the USB cable. It is not. Disk Utility is unable to find the hanheld card either however if the card is inserted into my camera it is recognised.
Am i wrong to assume that the card should appear on the Desktop? Am I missing something?

Unfortunately the 650 cannot show the SD card on the desktop of your computer. This is also the same for Windows PC's. To move pictures to the SD card you can use quick install and drag and drop into the storage card part of the application. Then close it and on the next hotsync it will sync over to the device but place it in your SD card.

  • Airport card not showing up - more data

Powerbook G4 FW800, now running 10.3.9 Update from post below.
Installed the Airport Extreme card, but it doesn't show up in the system profiler. I've done various re-installs of the card, PRAM and open firmware resets, and updated the OS to 10.3.9 (from 10.3.2). But I notice something strange:
On my iMac G5 (10.4) that has no Airport card installed, the system profiler doesn't see the card that isn't there (normal), but when I open Internet Connect, in the top "tray" along with Modem, Bluetooth, and Ethernet I see an "Airport" icon. Select it, and I get an Airport setup but is greyed out - OK. In the System Preferences > Network, the status shows Airport Not Turned On. Again, no airport card installed. Internet Connect version 1.4
But on the PB, there is NO Airport icon in the Internet Connect (Version 1.3) tray, and in System Preferences > Network, Airport doesn't show in the status. And Internet Connect V1.4 won't run on on 10.3.9. Tried that.
Is this an OS 10.3 to 10.4 difference? In 10.4 if the card were installed, I would have the opportunity to turn it on. In 10.3 on the PB, I don't even have the opportunity to turn it on.
Thoughts? I'm wondering if it isn't a hardware issue, but a software issue. I could re-install the original OS S/W, and then upgrade from there to 10.3.9

Saabguy, Welcome to the discussion area!
Don't start a new thread. This makes troubleshooting even more difficult because people that read this thread have no idea what was suggested in your other thread. Therefore you will get the same suggestions here that you got in "Airport Card not installed - sigh".
The difference you are seeing has nothing to do with your problem.
