Blank cdr will not load, macbook spits it back out

I bought some new cdr's and my macbook will not load them. after a few minutes it spits the disc out. i can load the disk fine in my imac and pc computers. any ideas. i've shut my macbook down completely and turned it on again without any result.

The only answer is bad optical drive or Bad CDRs....I would try a blank DVd in the Macbook and try that, and then make shure your optical drive is recognized as hardware

I have been trying to burn playlists in itunes onto a blank dvd. I can burn CDs, but when I try to insert a blank DVD, it checks media and spits it back out. Neither will my MAC show the blank dvd on my desktop when I insert it outside of iTunes. I have an internal DVD drive and an external one....same story!!??
The very last time I tried to burn a DVD in iTunes, it started, but then I got some strange message about the spool running out?? I've never seen it before.
I have verified and repaired my preferences. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

what kind of DVD? Plus or Minus?
If using Plus media try to switch to Minus.
btw. what kind of drive came with your Mac?

My CDs will not load. They only pop out.

This is a new problem. I try to inject a CD and it will only bounce back out. Any suggestions?

Just to add my thoughts about the install disks:
All Macs did come with install disks in the box (except for the brand new Macs with Lion pre-installed) and, you may need them at some point to reinstall, run AHT (hardware test), or simply wipe and install in order to sell it. So, aside from what you decide on re. your media drive, I'd call Apple and ask for replacement disks - you'll need to give them your serial number and they'll send you disks for a nominal charge.
My suggestion re. the drive: buy an external - less finicky and probably less expensive.

Itunes store has a blank page will not load

I have updated my system also uninstalled and reinstalled itunes

Install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
That will replace any missing system files and is applied for troubleshooting.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed then try iTunes.
If that didn't help, restore v10.6 using your install disc > Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard: How to Erase and Install
No need to erase the drive, just follow the instructions for a retore.
When you're done restart your Mac. Then click Software Update from your Apple menu  top left in your screen.
That should bring all your software up to date.

While shut down and restart probably doesn't work, see if you can remember the last email that you were reading. If it had a moticon or large attachment, try going your desktop and moving that email to a deleted folder. Then go back to your email on your iphone it should be working. That worked for me. I then went back to my desktop and moved the email in question back into my inbox.

Ng and connecting to wifi fine. Settings option will not load, keeps turning straight back off. any ideas

I can't type into any search engines or log in boxes on my ipod touch. This happened yesterday and was working fine til then. The wifi is connected and news apps are uploading. Can read them fine but can't log into facebook or type into the search engines on google and app store. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help Elitegate...have worked it out. I double clicked the home button twice, then held down the settings app icon until the "minus" symbol appeared then closed it. did the same for the other apps that werent accepting typing. then clicked the home button again and re tried. This has worked!

I have a MacBook Pro and it could be a really simple solution. I had the same problem after updating my iTunes. I finally got through to a guy at Apple who took the time to help me. I use Firefox everyday, but apparently the iTunes Store runs off of Safari. All I had to do was download the most recent version of Safari. Literally, that was it. So easy. HT2285 CDR's will not load

CDR's will not load. When I insert CDR into slot, it attempts to read but then ejects.
Tried using mulitple CDR's. DVD's seem to work fine. Thanks for any suggestions.

Are these CDRs that have been "finalized" (burned with data), or blank CDRs?
Try opening System Preferences CDs & DVDs pane. Where it says, When you insert a blank CD, change the setting to Ignore. (If it is currently set to Ignore, change it to something else.) With the Ignore setting, the disc should be "ignored" when inserted, so it should not be ejected. Does this work?
If it works, try setting it back to the original setting, to see if there is any change regarding this problem.
NOTE: If these are CDRs that have been burned as music CDs, do the above for the setting When you insert a music CD.
Actually, are these blank CDRs? If so, are you inserting the disc when prompted by the application that will burn the disc?

The only Iceberg app I can find in the app store is a social networking app, not an e-reader. I don't see how you could buy books for it.
UPDATE: I see that it isn't available in the US app store. To contact the developer find it in your App Store and there will be a link to the developer's support site.

Hi, Just put phone in the recovery mode and restore to the factory settings. It should work.

You may try booting your Mac in Safe Boot, as it can resolve many issues that may prevent a successful login.

Macbook Pro Flash videos will not load on any browser?

On my macbook pro all of a sudden all flash based videos such as youtube will not load and freeze before they are loaded. IT does not work on safari, chrome, or firefox. have uninstalled and reinstalled flash. Used Disk utility. Empted cache. Any idea what is wrong? This problem just started this week. Internet connection is good.

Download OnyX and run all the checks, maintaince and cleaning aspects and reboot at the end.

MacBook Pro will not load start up properly

My MacBook Pro 2012 will not load properly after I took it to the apple store and they ran test on it. When I boot it up I get the gray screen with the loading bar. I can get into disk utility. However I don't believe they messed with anything and it was wirking fine in the store

My Macbook Pro will not load past grey Apple screen...

Last night my Macbook Pro froze so I closed it and went to bed. Today when I opened it, it was still frozen, so I held down the power button and rebooted it. It got as far as the grey Apple screen with the spinning wheel and will not load any further than that. I've rebooted a couple times since and it continues to do the same thing, stays on the grey screen forever.
I searched this problem on the Apple Support Communitites and none of suggestions (holding Shift after the startup tone, holding Command+R) have worked so far. Is there any way to fix this problem without losing my data or having to pay to talk to Apple Support? PLEASE HELP! :(

Then we can't help you as we need you to be able to help yourself and the instructions are complicated and long to paste here over and over again for the same proceedure.
Hire the services of a local Mac computer repair before you delete your data by accident.
You can jump down and do #8, that might clear the issue right away, but some programs are not going to work and require updating or reinstalling again.
