Blank Display Corrupted

Blank display, connected to tv via hdmi and to monitor via vga still blank. Tried with single ram in both slots alternatively still blank. Reconnected hdd still the same. Consulted with a technician, who tells that it is possibly a IC got corrupted (maybe of the vga or graphic). Is it repairable without replacing motherboard. If so then, where do I find the IC. What is the IC model number and what else do I need to do?

    I've had my E71x for a week and have not had any problems until now.  While trying to power the phone on, all I get is a blank display and then the backlight just blinks on and off.
    The battery was fully charged when I turned the phone off.  I've tried removing the battery and putting it back in.  I've also tried the reset by holding the green call button and 3*.  Nothing has worked.
    Thanks in advance

  • Tx2z wont' boot up, blank display and flashing keys

    My laptop had various BSOD's which were recently resolved but now I am getting a blank display when I try to boot up my laptop. I can hear the fan noise and all the lights are working properly. However, The caps lock and num lock keys blink 3 times in a sequence. Any idea how I can resolve this issue?

    Hi @GC66 ,
    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6-3210us Notebook and issues with startup issues. Here is a document on computer won't start. It gives you a step by step to follow.
    I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults if you can get into the BIOS. You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings which should resolve  a startup issue.
    Here is a link that shows you how to do a hardware test. I would run this if you do get the Notebook started.
    Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.
    Plug the power adapter directly into a functioning wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.
    Hope this helps.

  • Display corruption/system freezes

    First time poster, so please excuse me if my post is misplaced. I am experiencing the same display corruption symptoms as this poster...
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=696575&tstart=0
    "I am seeing this corruption on my PowerMac G4 Dual 1.42 GHz with ATY,R300 and was not using dual monitors at the time a 17" Studio Display @ 1080x1024.
    I would describe it as a random pattern of vertical lines and bars that move around when windows are moved. Sometimes it fills the entire screen and other times it's just small random groups of pixels in a row or column on different areas of the screens. These vary in color from one incident to the next, but mostly all one color when it happens."
    However, the similarities end there. My main issue evolves shortly following this (10min-30min of steadily increasing corruption) my system freezes every time. Regardless of app, yet it seems to freeze faster with processor intensive apps. I replaced HD, OS, and Ram to no avail. When I took it to a local shop, after 2 minutes he pretty much shook his head like he knew exactly what was going on, he had seen it before and that it would cost $750-$800 to replace the PROCESSOR. Could you please shed some light on this most distressing situation. Any info would be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Eddieglenn

    I have the same problem with my computer also, but mine is a G5. I took mine to the shop and they told me it would cost me around $800 dollars. So it is a bad card. Well, how much does this cost? Is there a way I can install it myself?

  • T440p freeze with display corruption - anyone else?

    I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced crashing with display corruption similar to this:
    Link to image
    It happens randomly 1-3 times per day, and I have been unable to reproduce on demand.
    memtest86 and Lenovo's memory testing utility both pass.
    No critical events are logged in Event Viewer, other than "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first."
    Problem occurs both docked and undocked.
    Open files were often corrupted (overwritten with 0's) - this was resolved by disabling write caching on the drive.
    I've just about run out of ideas and this is incredibly frustrating. I found a github issue for Linux which might be related.

    Hi -
    I'm wondering if the issue reported by mixdio is related to resuming from Sleep also.
    Though, I am not encountering corruption, I too have an issue with that same SATA drive (hgst hts725050A7E6300), when resuming from Sleep. My issue is that I continually receive "Problem Ejecting ... (hgst hts725050A7E6300)" (after waking from Sleep and logging in).
    I originally encountered this about a year ago. I just basically kept up on (Lenovo) System Updates and Windows Updates, ensured the drive in the UltraBay was locked in, and dismissed the error as false weirdness. Unfortunately, last Summer, that drive went corrupt and was unrecoverable.
    (my SSD on controller 0 went defunct as well - very bad sucky time - also a learning lesson: SSD like any other hardware device, even though it doesn't have moving parts, like memory, CPU, etc - they can all go bad ... I just look down and shake my head everytime I hear someone praise SSD like it's some Technological Messiah ... so foolish)
    But last Fall, I was able to correct it by running the "Fix for issue of HDD with HD detection for Windows 7" update (and starting the service in TaskScheduler - which is not outlined in the instructions).
    Now, for some odd reason, I am again encountering the error. And now I am basically going through Events and finding what I can on that drive  and searching for other "resume from sleep on Windows 7" issues.

  • Windows 10 blank display after upgrade

    Tried to upgrade from Win 7SP1 to Win 10. Once done and laptop boots to desktop, the screen is blank, cursor is white. I can use Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to the task manager, sign out, etc. so it appears to be a graphics card/display upgrade issue. I was able to successfully rever to Win 7SP1. Are there steps I can do before the upgrade (i.e. settings) to bring me up to Win 10 and a usable display, then once there I can reset to the proper drivers? If not, what would you do? Thank you.

    For OneDrive, you can try uninstalling it (it should be under the Programs and Features list), and try reinstalling it. Something could've gotten corrupted/gone wonky during the upgrade.
    For the Modern UI Apps, you can try removing the appx packages, and reinstalling them from the Windows Store.  To remove the apps, you'll need to run PowerShell cmds, first a search (since they're all built in - you can search via get-appxpackage
    *Microsoft.*)  Find the apps that are causing issues, then uninstall them via
    remove-appxprovisionedpackage -Online -PackageName Package Name Here.
    If you don't like cmds, you be better off just redoing the upgrade.  Hope that helps!

  • Menu/Toolbar Display Corruption Upon Resizing Window

    We're experiencing an issue with one of our workstations where when the Adobe Reader X (10.1.3) window is resized, the Menu/Toolbar displays become corrupt and garbled on the screen (see the attached picture). The Toolbar appears on the top, the frame around the application disappears, and the menubar has to be hovered across for items to appear.
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader, updated the video card drivers, and ensured all Adobe/Microsoft updates have been applied to this workstation.

  • IPhoto book displaying corrupt pictures

    I successfully ordered a number of calendars iLife 08. Image quality was great ... no complaints. HOWEVER, when I received my first hardcover book, I was surprised to see 8 photos displaying what appeared to be corrupt files.
    Subsequently, with the help of Apple Photo Services, I have tried to determine what the problem may be with the photos or if the problem lies with IPhoto! I examined every photo, tried inserting them in various programs, ran some through PhotoShop and all appears well. I followed the following instructions from Apple:
    Our engineers suggest the following troubleshooting steps. I hope
    this will help resolve this issue and allow you to resubmit your
    order:
    1. Close iPhoto and use Software Update to install the latest
    version of iPhoto and Mac OS. For more information on using
    Software Update, see the article entitled
    “Updating your software” at
    docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh292.html
    2. Once the installation is complete, launch iPhoto.
    3. Select your book from the Source list on the left.
    4. Select Print from the File menu.
    5. Click the Preview button on the bottom left. This will create a
    PDF of your book and display it using the Preview application.
    If the PDF no longer shows corrupt images, you may resubmit your
    book order by clicking the Buy Book button.
    If the PDF still shows missing images, follow these steps:
    1. Return to iPhoto and go to Page 25.
    2. Press and hold the Control key while clicking on the appropriate
    image. This should display a contextual menu.
    3. From the contextual menu, select Edit Photo.
    If you can see the photo after selecting Edit Photo, but the PDF
    preview still does not display this image, please let us know by
    replying to this email and we will investigate further.
    If you cannot see the photo after selecting Edit Photo, or you get
    a gray square with an “!” in the middle, then the original photo is
    damaged or cannot be found. If you have a backup copy of the image
    file, you can copy it back onto your computer and import it again
    into your iPhoto book. If you do not have a backup copy of your
    missing image, you may wish to replace the missing images with
    other images prior to resubmitting your book.
    Be sure to preview the PDF of your book (step 5 in the
    “troubleshooting” section above) before resubmitting your order.
    We hope this information helps. Thank you for being an Apple Print
    Products customer. We appreciate your business.
    To date,I have created saved 8 PDF's of the book file and each one shows different corrupt files while at the same time while in iPhoto, all the photos appear okay.
    About to give up and either go back to an earlier iPhoto or just go to an alternate vendor.
    Any help, suggestions or insight is appreciated. Is iPhoto 7. 1.1 really that buggy?
    Bob

    Robert:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You may have a corrupt database file. Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options. This will rebuild the thumbnails as well as the database file. While you're at it you might as well select the option to repair permissions. See if that makes any difference.
    Report back and we'll go from there.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • WORD document becomes blank or corrupted after being uploaded to a Document Library programmatically?

    Hi everyone,
    I uploaded a WORD document to a Document Library with this code:
    using (SPSite currentSite = new SPSite(SPContext.Current.Site.ID))
    using (SPWeb currentWeb = currentSite.OpenWeb("Departments"))
    currentWeb.AllowUnsafeUpdates = true;

    SPDocumentLibrary myLibrary = (SPDocumentLibrary)myList;
    SPFolder myFolder = myLibrary.RootFolder.SubFolders["aFolderName"];
    using (Stream fStream = FileUpload1.PostedFile.InputStream)
    byte[] _bytes = new byte[fStream.Length];
    SPFile myFile = myFolder.Files.Add(FileUpload1.FileName, _bytes, true);
    The document gets uploaded into the correct folder in the Document Library, however when I open it from SharePoint it is just a blank document. And sometimes it is corrupted and cannot be opened.
    If I upload a PDF using this code, the pdf cannot be opened. It says the file is corrupted.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you very much for your help in advance.

  • Blank display after sleep. Please help

    My MBP wakes itself every day at 6:00. For the past few days, when I've gotten to it around 6:30, the display has just been...blank. The keyboard illuminates and my cursor shows up, but the login window is nowhere to be seen. I've waited for it, and end up having to hold down the power button and start her up again, something I was used to with windows. Is anybody else having this problem? It has also occured any time after it's slept for a while. Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Hello,
    It seems that a lot of people are experiencing this problem, judging by how many boards there are for it...
    I too am having the same problem. My MBP is a few weeks old, and I've only started noticing this problem in the last week or two. Sometimes my MBP wakes up fine, sometimes it takes it a few minutes, and sometimes I'm forced to restart it by holding down the power button. It seems to be worse when I've had my computer in sleep mode for long periods of time.
    I don't use any external monitors, and I don't keep USB devices or anything else connected to the computer when I close it. It makes no difference whether it's charging or not. I have a few 3rd-party apps installed, but the problem started before I installed any. I've tried closing all programs before putting my computer to sleep. I've stopping letting it sleep overnight (and instead shut it down). Nothing helps.
    The problem occurred for me again just now, which is what prompted me to check the support boards. When I open my MBP after it's been is sleep mode, it makes the little disk drive startup noise, but the display remains black. Sometimes when I open my MBP, the keyboard will light up (sometimes only for a second, and other times for longer). Just now, when I held down the escape key, it made that little "pinging" noise over and over again while I held it down (in the Sounds menu under System Preferences, they call it "Funk"). And what I thought was the most interesting was that when I pressed play on my Apple Remote it started playing the first song in my iTunes library. All the controls on the Apple Remote worked fine - I could play and pause the song, skip to a different song, adjust the volume, etc. Yet the screen remained black. Pushing keys and using the trackpad did nothing. I tried closing the computer again and this time the light remained on (instead of flashing like it does when it's in sleep mode). But when I opened it back up, the screen still stayed black. So obviously, the computer was running fine, it was simply a problem with the display.
    Does the Apple Remote work for anyone else when they're experiencing this problem?
    This problem is really starting to get on my nerves! Hopefully Apple will do something about it soon!

    I noticed that the screen saver never comes on, regardless of the time settings, etc.  It's as if the PC thinks it is constantly busy with something.
    Thanks,
    Well, that's the "answer".  If you are not even getting the screen saver to come on, then there's no way the power-save mode (i.e. putting the monitor to sleep, so that its power LED changes color and the screen goes dark) will EVER kick in!  The second stage (i.e. power-save mode after some specified period of time of system inactivity) is dependent on the first stage first, where the screen saver kicks in after some specified period of system inactivity.  It's only when the period of system inactivity exceeds the screensaver time limit and now reaches the power-save time limit that the monitor will be put to sleep.
    So... something is running in your system which is convincing Windows that it is "active".  Normally this would require human interface activities, like mouse or keyboard, but it sounds like in your system some task is running in the background which is "keeping the system active", as if you yourself were touching the mouse or keyboard.
    I'd investigate using Task Manager, to see what's running.  It might not be a bad idea to run a "cocktail" of anti-malware elimination steps (as detailed in this "recipe") on the off-chance something malicious has insinuated itself on your system that you're not aware of.
    Excellent observation, about the screen saver never kicking in.  That's the "giant clue" that something is running on your system which is simulating a human interface, in my opinion.  Without first getting the screen saver as you should, you will NEVER get the power-save second stage as you want.
