Blank Document Panel

Hi,
When I open an image in Photoshop CS5, the document panel remains blank. I can see the image is visible in the panel displaying the layers, but the rest of the screen just remains blank. I am not a savvy Photoshop user. I mainly use it to resize, crop and make some minor color adjustments. Everything was working fine as of two weeks ago, and I am not aware of any setting changes since I used the program last. I have a Windows 7, 64-bit laptop, with an i7 (2820-QM) processor, 8GB RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GT540M 2GB graphics card. Both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Photoshop are having the same problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check to make sure it is not displaying on the 2nd screen, which may be off or not hooked up. Look in your control panel to see what monitor settings are.

When I save the document as a .doc or .docx, and send it to someone, (doesn't matter if its safari, chrome or firefox or on my yahoo or gmail accounts) they receive it as a blank document. Yet, when I open it on my Mac, it has a "word" icon and I can read it. How do I fix?

I just downloaded Pages. When typing on a blank document, I am unable to highlight certain words. My daughter usesbitbfor homework and needs to highlight her spelling words. I've read disucssions and it says gonto the a and enter fill and cg

I just started using Pages and am trying to figure out how I can highlight certain words in sentences. I have read some of the discussions and they have said to go to the "a" on the top bar. When using a blank document, the letter "a" doesn't show up and there isn't an option to fill in or use shadowing. Help!

At the top of the screen in Page there is an "I" next to the Media Icon. If you tap that "I" icon - you bring up a menu that has Style as one of the options. Tap Style and you can change the color of the text and use all of the preinstalled Styles available in the app.
If you swipe all the way to the bottom of the Styles menu- there is a Text Options listed. Tap on that and you can select different sizes, fonts, and text colors.

PDF attachments sent from eFax open as a blank document on iPhone

I receive faxes from eFax to my email on a regular basis - I click the attachment, it downloads, displays normally as a PDF, I click it to open - I see a blank document instead of the fax. the pdfs open normally on my computer.
The iphone 3g seems to be opening other pdfs w/o a problem, but not PDF faxes from eFax. Any ideas on what would cause this? or any other ways to open these PDFs?

Have you tried to download the files (typically right click on the link) and open them in Acrobat that way, rather than the plugin to the browser. There may also be an issue with the browser. You did not mention the browser you are using, but might try FireFox or such (assuming you are currently using IE).

I've never heard of this software, and cannot find any reference to it online, which is a bit concerning. What is it supposed to do? There really isn't much need for security software on a Mac.

In Mac OS X 10.7, any applications left open when you shut down or restart are re-opened at startup, and any documents left open in an app when you quit are re-opened when you launch them again. The former can be controlled by unchecking the box in the restart/shutdown alert:
You will need to do this each time you shut down or restart, it won't remember that setting.
The latter can be deactivated by unchecking the box in System Preferences -> General:

That does not sound normal, but I don't use a mouse with my MBP, so I can't provide a solution, other than to try replacing the batteries in the mouse.

Probably you have opened a blank Layout template which requires a Textbox for you to type into.
Open a blank Word Processing template instead. The two types are listed in the Sidebar of the Template Chooser.

Document panel not opening in Office due to error in new document libraries

Hi,
all our new document libraries have the same issues when opening office documents with standard document panel.
The form contains schema validation errors.
Content for element 'documentManagement' is incomplete according to the DTD/Schema.
Expecting: {fa742bdc-a2be-4b36-877c-a90d9817da44}_dlc_DocIdPersistId.
It is a standard sharepoint info path form, no custom form? What can be the issue?

I have been seeing the same thing. I can go to library settings and change the advanced setting to "Open in the browser" and the document panel opens fine after clicking "edit in Word". If it is set to "Open in the client
application", then the same error you state above is given.
Our environment is SharePoint 2013/O365.

Open the picture file, go to Image>resize>image size. Read what the resolution is in px/in, write it down, do nothing else here at this time
Go to File>new>blank file, Enter the dimensions , resolution the same value that you wrote down in step #1, background color to suit, ok it.
Go back to the picture file, go to Select>all, go to Edit>copy to put it on the clipboard
Go back to the blank file, go to Edit>paste
Get the move tool out of the toolbox, position the picture, and resize with the corner handles of the bounding box, if necessary..
Note: For printing, the rule of thumb is that the resolution be in the 240-300px/in range, although I have had good results below this value. For web work, 72 px/in is ok.

Can't see text in blank document

I am new to macs and am having trouble using Pages '08. Whenever I try to write in a blank document I do not see a cursor. If I write click type appears highlighted in pink, but when I try to type over it, the text disappears. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I am using Word Processing rather Page Layout, so it's not that. Any help would be much appreciated

Two things you may not have done.
First, use the Mac OS 10.6.2 combo update. This fixes a problem with the Hoefler Text font that is not fixed using the delta update (10.6.1 > 10.6.2).
Second, make sure your iWork applications are updated. For iWork '08 that is Pages 3.0.3 & Numbers 1.0.3. For iWork '09 it's Pages 4.0.2 & Numbers 2.0.2. iWork '09 has since had update 3. I don't use Keynote, but it should also be updated. If you're not running the latest versions & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. They must be in the iWork '08 or iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08 or iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '08 or '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

How do I center my new "Pages" blank document when enlarging it's window

When I use the "Pages" application to type a paper, I try to enlarge the entire window without "Fullscreening" it all.
My problem is this: Once I've expanded the entire "Pages" window from corner to corner, emcompassing the entire monitor screen, however still not actually "Fullscreen", the blank text document I'm trying to type up will stick to the bottom RIGHT hand side of the window and I want to just cent the document, just like it automatically does when using microsoft word.

When I fullscreen the "pages" application to type up the blank document I'm currently trying to write up, The entire topside tool bar-menu bar - all slides out of veiw unless I hold my mouse upward towards the top and hold it until it comes back down.... I'm sick of that on a level I can't go into detail with on this website, so, please, if anyone out there can also let me know how to make that topside menu bar - toolbar - whatever, stay exactly where it is and NOT auto hide itself, I'd be greatly appreciative to you. Thank you in advance!

Pages doesn't work as Word do. Pages works in another ways.
You are saying " the blank text document I'm trying to type up will stick to the bottom RIGHT hand side of the window". Are you sure as Pages sticks to the left side in the window boths in Pages 09 and 08?
There isn't any option to get the the toolbar or Format bar to show pemanently in Full view.

I turned off System Preferences > iCloud > Documents&Data - problem solved.
I'll use DropBox instead - it provides the options for a better experience. I hope Apple keep working on iCloud so that it doesn't go the way of Moble Me.

I gather you have Pages '09? Even though you haven't said so. You definitely don't have "ipages".
It sounds like you have opened a blank Layout template, which has nothing on the blank page for you to type into.
Either insert a Textbox or Shape, or create a new document using a Word Processing template, they are listed in the Sidebar.

Is there a way I can generate a blank document with custom code in it? I have been looking at several methods of doing this but so far I have been unsuccessful. So any assistance here would be appreciated. This is for an extension I am currently working on.

we are on IPM -PS2 windows x64 enviornment, recently no change is OS level or application level .
When running REST in IE (http://hostname:16000/Imaging/Renderimage/3.IPM_docid) .. shows blank display
Any idea what is going wrong here , any sort of help wil be greatly appreciated.

Neither of your posts answer the question What Browser are you using. Those are the OS version of the model of Mac you have.
