Blank Error Message in I.E. 8

Hello,
When I go to open a PDF up from a website (clicking within I.E. or even Outlook) Adobe Reader 9.0 presents me with a blank error message (with absolutely no text at all).
If I cut and paste the link into the "GO" bar at the top of I.E. it works, but simply click on a link in a website or from Outlook won't work.  I have no concept of what the error is, because there is no text.
I am running Windows 7, but seriously I'm not having any issues.  I can even open up the same documents that won't open in Adobe in I.E., in the plain Adobe Reader (I go to FILE >>  OPEN and paste the link in there and hit OPEN - that works without issue, although it takes 20 seconds to open - which is longer then normal).
Any ideas?  Do I have a I.E. security setting to adjust?

I have the same problem.  It didn't start happening until I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader X.  Once I noticed the problem I uninstalled Adobe Reader X and installed 9.0.  Now I have 9.0 installed an I'm still getting the bug intermittently.
Any ideas, it's driving me nuts!

    I have had a problem for some time with my Asus G74sx, with Windows 7 Home.  After boot up, my logon time has gotten fairly long and I get a blank error message box titles only "error".  Process explorer groups it under csrss.exe and
    calls it only error by way of title, with no file path.
    I logged a boot and it says did not load driver: srv.sys, vga.sys, and it attempted to load NDProxy.sys 4 times.
    I am at a loss as to what's up with the comp... thanks in advance.

  • Blank error message in Adobe Reader

    I have Adobe Reader 9.1 on Windows 7 OS.  Often when I click on a link that opens a Adobe file I get a blank page and a BLANK error message from Adobe with only an "OK" to click.  If I go back and try again, I get the same thing but as they say, "third time is the charm" and the file will open.
    Any suggestions?

    Reader 9.1 is not compatible with Windows 7. Update to Reader 9.4.4 or the latest Reader X.

    Yes I can it only happens in the browser..
    I reinstalled Windows on my machine and started over a couple of weeks ago.
    When my desktop started up I didn’t have Acrobat installed and clicked on a pdf file and the open with xxx dialogue box came open.
    I chose a different program as Acrobat wasn’t installed yet so it associated pdf files with another program.
    Later Installed Acrobat and couldn’t associate the pdf file with acrobat so I went into Folder Options and manually associated PDF files with Acrobat.
    Ever since then I get the error when something is downloaded and opened in the browser.
    Works fine everywhere else and when I cancel the blank error, highlight the web address and press enter to reload it works 90% of the time.
    Not sure what to do..

  • Omwb - Blank Error Message - Capture Source DB

    I have installed latest OMWB along with plug-in for access.
    I am able to generate xml files from ms-access database.
    I have lastest access driver.
    When i run omwb.bat it opens a window, it displays a blank error message.
    Same blank message comes , when "Capture Source Database" is clicked

    Hi,
    To assist in resolving your issue we will need more information.
    * On step 1 of the Capture wizard, were you able to successfully add an XML file for capture? If not, please post up the full error message text.
    * Did the "Capture Source Database" Wizard complete and generate any objects in the "Source Model" of the Workbench?
    You mention that you see "blank messages" when "Capture Source Database" is clicked. I am gathering that you were able to load the generated XML file into the workbench, however you were unable to view any messages in the Log window. If this is the case, I suggest that you check your Log Window preferences as follows:
    1. Launch the workbench
    2. From the menu bar, click on Tools | Log Window, to launch the Log Window.
    3. On the Log Window, click on Edit | Preferences from the menu bar.
    4. Under the heading "Select the message types you would like to display", ensure that all checkboxes are selected. Then click on "OK" to save these settings. Close the Log Window when these steps are complete, and re-launch the Capture Wizard to begin the migration process again.
    If you are still experiencing issues, please outline fully the steps that you have followed, and post up any error message text that is displayed during this process.

    You are right that doesn't look right.
    A quick suggestion:
    Check the log file for more information, (if you need help to do this it is already discussed in this forum).
    Please also send a screenshot of the data and the R-CNR configuration (chosen fields). The algorithm summary what does that say?

  • Getting blank error messages for no apparent reason.

    Firefox randomly freezes and the top bar says "Firefox (Not Responding)". This lasts for a little bit, then a blank error message pops up. It has no text anywhere, and the only thing I can do is x out. When I do, Firefox returns to normal. However, this is happening with increasing frequency and lasting longer.
    It only happens with Firefox, all other programs work at the time, so it's a Firefox problem. It actually just happened again while typing this.

  • Blank error message when publishing to YouTube or to mp4 in Captivate 6

    I am trying to publish a captivate file to youtube and receive a blank error message box that just says Adobe Captivate with a big yellow exclamation point. I also tried publishing as media (mp4) and get the same error. Screen shot included below.
    The Top Issues article (http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/release-note/top-issues-captivate-6.html) for Adobe Captivate 6 includes the following note:
    You may observe a blank dialog box or blank error prompts while publishing projects to YouTube. This issue occurs if the name of the Adobe Captivate installation folder contains unicode characters.
    I tried renaming the file and the application so it didn't include numbers or underscores and then realized that even letters are considered unicode - so obviously that didn't work.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I'm having this same problem! I also tried to change the name of the application folder but this did not make a difference.
    Also tried changing the resolution size of the project as recommended by someone and this did not make any difference.
    I'm at a loss. Wish I could get my money back for this product!
    My resolution of the project is 1145 X 730.
    Any other suggestions?

    I am useing Oracle Applications : 12.1.1 & RDBMS : 11.1.0.7.0
    when I attempt to create new batch for selecting specific Recipe and declaring product quantity in OPM
    Then there generate blank error message. Also I am using automatic document numbering ,But there haven't Generate any document number in the document Number field.

  • MARS "Blank Error Message"

    I was wondering if anyone had seen the words "Blank Error Message" while working from the CLI on MARS 4.2.6
    We first saw it while upgrading and later saw the same message while setting the Timezone.
    They don't appear to mean anything as we were able to do the upgrade and set the timezone. Is this a cosmetic bug?

  • IPhoto v8.1.1 wont print to Epson SX515W - Blank Error Message

    Before the most recent update, it used to completely crash iPhoto when printing to the Epson printer but now it doesnt crash but I get a blank error message and the print just seems to be a screen capture rather than what I was trying to print.
    Anybody else seeing this?

  • When displaying PDF in IE9, get blank error message and black display

    Frequently when attempting to load PDF pages in IE9, I get an error message box with no text and an OK button and the display of the document is just black.
    Usually, if I click Reload enough times, eventually it will display.  What is happening here, and why is there no message in the message box?

    Though, the blank dialog box can be a result of multiple versions of Acrobat and Reader. What is the version of Acrobat/Reader you have, btw?

    Hmm....I have seen this message before but I have no idea why the message text is blank. Message M7001 can be triggered in MIGO because of missing entries in various check tables and hence it it hard to pinpoint exactly what the issue is without knowing the message text.
    For example, it could be due to incorrect copy of your company code or plant, or something to do with the movement type you are using in MIGO.
    I would suggest you to check OSS notes for your SAP version/IS Solution or have an ABAPer debug the code to determine where exactly the error message is being triggered.

  • Blank error message in iphoto?

    Hi
    Seemingly out of the blue iphoto 11 has taken to having a blank message when I try to send a photo by email. I assume it's an error message. Does anyone have any suggestions please?
    The message comes up shortly after the animated blue sending bar at the bottom of the photo completes (which is, as it has always been, pretty instant). The message has only the iphoto icon it in with an exclamation mark - no text and there is only an option to click ok. On clicking ok the blue sending bar disappears but the cancel and send buttons remain. If you leave the email after this (in the hope it may be sending somehow) nothing happens, if you click send you get the same error all over again and if you click cancel it brings up the message 'Are you sure you want to delete this? If you don’t send it now, this email will be deleted and your changes will be lost.'
    I've tried it with differing templates just in case that was causing the issue, and have of course re-started both the programme and the mac but nope.
    I'd welcome any help.

    Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

    3 - reboot.
    4 - launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
